Life is hard, especially the older you get & the more things that happen to you. Both my parents died relatively young, dad 42 & my mom had just turned 66. It makes you realize how fragile life is. Finding people that are kind and caring are like looking for a needle in a haystack! Knowing that there are a few gives us hope!

I am so glad you have so much support! You are an inspiration to me. I have been fighting Multiple Myeloma for 11 years.
I go every other week for a shot of Daralex in my belly. I see my Oncologist once a month. Lately my cancer markers have risen. If it continues I will have to go on another treatment. It's a scary thought. I do have my hubby and 2 of my 3 daughters helping me through all of these treatments.
I love them dearly. I love you too, wish we could meet. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Oh Jenny, I just adore you! I have crohns disease and watching your videos, especially the ones about your stoma’s, have helped me cope with the fact that I may also have one someday and that it will be ok. You are pure kindness, and so incredibly sweet. I am grateful to have found your channel and I watch every video you put out, though I don’t always comment. Oh, Jenny, I hope you realize how special you are to us. Like you, I tend to have a pretty high positivity meter, but I can get frustrated and sad myself. You help me especially during those times. I do not have cancer, just some chronic illnesses affecting my lungs and colon. I had half of my colon removed last summer and currently recovering from four broken bones. You are a delight, and I am so glad I stumbled on your channel last year. I appreciate you too. Love, Suzie. ❤❤

Jenny, you are so kind. I must say that I was shocked at some of the comments you shared that people have received from their families while going through cancer but I guess I shouldn’t be. I’ve lived with chronic diseases and pain since my 20s. I’m 66. Other than my husband, I’ve felt I’ve had to suffer in silence because no one really wants to hear it. It’s sad. But thank God for my sweet husband who is about to begin his own cancer journey. So I’ll stick by his side through it all.

I understand what you mean that nobody wants to hear about your pain all the time. I use my journal a lot of the time and try to space out talking about it with many family members so no one has to hear about it too much. The older I get, the more issues have popped up and I am now thinking of getting a therapist solely to talk to about my physical health and chronic pain issues. I won’t feel like a burden talking about it if someone is getting paid to listen. I wish you and hubby the best with his cancer journey.

We are about to take a road trip from CT to Wyoming where our daughter lives in an RV. Yep, two boys, almost 18 with autism and 14 with adhd, (hubby has ADHD too😉) three cats and a Jack Russell terrier... And my 67 year old butt! A three week adventure.

♥ You've helped me a lot Jenny! Have just had surgery for colon cancer for the second time on 14 May. Will find out histology results on 13 June. So far, I feel I have been very lucky. The first time I had an open surgery resection and rectum removed with temporary ileostomy which was later reversed. This time the first consultant I saw said I would have to have the whole large bowel removed with a permanent ileostomy. The second consultant I saw said he thought he could remove a third of the large bowel and leave me with a permanent colostomy. In the end, the second consultant removed another section of the large bowel with no stoma! Open surgery again, so still recovering from that. I have also had a couple of emotional days. I am grateful too! xx
Oof! Those are some big surgeries! Obviously at this point you know it's a long recovery period. I pray that everything goes well for you and that you are in remission and heal up completely and quickly. 💜🙏
