Malin & Tom
We've been waiting on our cancer scan results for what seems like an eternity and the results are in! Malin was diagnosed with aggressive colon cancer in October 2022 and has since undergone chemotherapy, radiation therapy and two major surgeries in order to battle the disease. She's now doing cancer checkups and screenings every 6 months.
After Malin was given the 'all-clear' and was told her cancer was gone, we sold our house and moved in to our campervan in order to live our van life on the road, travelling around and exploring Europe.
Now we're back home in Sweden, attending Malin's brothers wedding and enjoying the beginning of the Swedish summer!

Who are we?

We are a young 'Swenglish' adventure family, that consists of Swedish Malin, English Tom, and babies Charlie & Isabella, who are half and half. We love all kinds of adventures, including travelling around Sweden and beyond in our self-built campervan called Sunny, we're currently travelling the warmer climates of southern Europe and are glad to be cancer-free, after a rough battle with colon cancer.

Your dress is gorgeous and looks absolutely beautiful on you. Orange is my favorite color. So happy your scan came back clear. This is the best news for Malin and her sweet family. No the difference is the way I get tired. Everyone with young kids get tired, but I’m not tired in a way that normal 30 year old parents are. And it’s nice that the nurses see that, and help from the situation you’re in. There is no “relax more” when you’re a parent. 🌸🌼

I have to tell you that it took me 2 full years after chemo and radiation to feel somewhat normal again. The fatigue is real!

I am so happy about your scans! Congratulations it should be a wonderful summer for all of you. I thought those were tadpoles when I first saw them, but you were right they are salamanders. My kids love to go camping and get these we'd always put them back, but we would hold them for a while and wash your hands in United States or in Oregon, you can find them even under rocks and not just in water. they don't buy from the Hold just to wash your hands after you are done.
Thank you! Ah yeah I don’t remember ever seeing them like this before. It was so much fun, the kids loved it (and maybe us too to be honest haha)! Ah ok could you catch them with just your hands then? They were so fast I don’t know how we would’ve caught them!

That is great news! I did FOLFOX for my colon cancer from 2/23 to 9/23 and have noticeable loss of cognitive ability. I also still have nephropathy in my hands and feet but have kinda got use to that. Let us know if you find something to help with your brain fog. Every scan is very scary but also a reminder of where we have been and how far we have come. Great to see you enjoying your life.
I also did FOLFOX, maybe it’s a more known side effect to that treatment? I really struggle to focus and with memory loss, I can’t remember anything anymore! And you’re so right, it’s scary with scans but it’s also such a good reminder to what’s important in life and how far you’ve come. I’m sorry that you’ve had to go through it as well, and I hope you’re on the right path now too! 🌸❤️

a friend of mine suggested that I should do Water Fasting where you only drink water so that way it gets your body to go on a reset. Don't know much about this but heard it is effective.
