Underwater Drone Footage Lake Wassookeag Fish all over

‪@MFEGoingDeep‬ today explored the beautiful Lake Wassookeag in Dexter Maine. Initially the adventure started at what was marked the deepest point in the lake according to my electronics and gps. The drone showed a depth of around 76’. For such a clear lake the visibility on bottom here wasn’t the greatest, I’m sure it partially had to do with the propellers stirring up the sediment. I had thought there wasn’t much i was going to be able to use but stumbled upon a surprise while looking through the secondary camera angle footage that needless to say had me really excited to share with you all! After moving locations closer to the bridge that splits the lake I was able to swim the drone with several smallmouth bass as we cruised along a steep rocky drop off. A beautiful morning and fun experience!

Once when on the St. Lawrence I watched two smallies tailgate an eel in order to scoop up anything the eel startled.

That’s cool! I’ve yet to see that happen but I have noticed some smallmouths hanging out with suckers for what I suspect was a similar reason.
