- I recently purchased a @movesea underwater ROV and took it to a local lake to test it out and see what I could find with my new drone! I have already taken it for one test run out in the ocean to get the hang of it, but this was my first attempt and trying to go searching for underwater treasures with the robot arm. Once I got out into the deeper water I found a pair of sunglasses, and then a bucket that I can use to keep all my find in. This thing is going to be a lot fun and I can already think of a ton of uses for it!

Good Sunday morning Casey! AWP has used one of those drones, it is an awesome addition to their sonar equipment. Using it to show more of your " office " is fantastic. Love those clear lakes.

They do actually make wireless underwater drones, but this thing is pretty sweet. The wireless ones I know of don't have a pincher or anything
Very few exist, and almost none are commercially available, and the ones that do exist have a very limited range. So basically, no, there are no consumer underwater ROV’s that are wireless

Launching the drone from a boat will give you a lot more range and versatility. I want one really bad but here in Illinois the rivers and lakes are so murky you probably couldn't even see the claw. But I still want one.

@@jeffclark2725 I'm from Michigan so have no idea where that's at LOL I was kayaking with my bro in law n nephew last weekend and we have the Huron River we went down about 5 miles of it and all the fish we could see was really cool. I think they're brown trout in there and there was at least 3 schools of them that were probably 16-18" long! I forgot my wallet and my bro in law didn't get his license this year or we would have seen if we could hook some. Plenty of fallen trees though that would have been cool to peek under

that is so freaking cool Casey! Having dabbled in Magnet fishing this is a game changer! Can't wait to see what all you find around boat docks and off bridges.
I expect you've already sorted it but if not you can adjust the control response curve in the app. That way you can have slow fine control and faster corse control. Might help with grabbing delicate stuff.
Had a demo of one last week, might see if the SAR team I'm in are interested in it. 🙂

I've seen magnet fishing but this looks like a lot more fun. There aren't many lakes close by here but maybe the boat loading docks at the ocean. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for all your great videos. 👍

This reminded me of scuba diving in lakes. Lots of mud, not much else. Fun video, will be interesting to see how it performs in a river. You’ll have to overcome the current and the drap the current has on the cord.
