I'm so glad I saw this video. We lived in FL when I was a kid, late 50s early 60s. My dad and his friends liked to scuba dive in Morrison springs. I remember being afraid to jump out of the row boat when we were over the drop off. The divers appeared like those little army men my brother played with. And yes, that was cold water. There was a small, mostly undeveloped "resort" there. I remember the drive in being a weird bridge like road, at least in places. There were snapping turtles and geese there. I wish you had your drone swim out over the drop off, but a very cool video. My dad is now 97 and I have saved this video to show him. Thanks for sparking the memories.
We used a drone in a pump house at a steel mill because it wasn’t safe to use a diver and we lost the drone to a 40,000 gallon a minute pump. The office was pissed because we used the drone instead of a diver. Seems the drone was more valuable to them than us.
I know of an occurance of the loss of a diver at a pulp mill. If I remember correctly the plant drawings had not been updated correctly so the pump was left on while he was diving. Industrial accidents with loss of life are very serious, it is a good thing only a drone was lost in your case.
@@theodoregarver494 Yeah they are and expensive. A drone is a lot cheaper than losing a diver but bean counters don’t think about that. There was a case on Lake Michigan where a diver was trapped in an intake and they wouldn’t shut off the pumps because it would cost too much to do that so they let him die. The only smart way to dive in intakes is do it when you can shut everything off or don’t go it at all.
I was doing a dive with a buddy at Lake Ouachita in Arkansas and came upon a huge largemouth hanging out between two rocks waiting on something. Ouachita fish don't seem too scared of bubble spouting divers and we got close enough before she gave way that I could see she absolutely as long as my arm from my 6'4" wide receiver elbow to extended hand and she was fat. She was at least 9lbs.
as a kid I fantasized about seeing things like this. I want this drone! I was surprised when I saw it go below 33 ft (1 atmosphere). So cool that tech has advanced enough to make a UAV affordable for many
Navigating the drone, just as one navigates a ship or a submarine. Sailing is done at the water's surface where there is wind, and sails to catch the wind. 🙂 Thanks for sharing; beautiful water, great shots of the fish. 69F room temperature dry, warm; 69F wet be it lake, rain of heavy fog, sucks the heat right out of the body. Not so warm. Have been in enough glacier lakes to know that I am with your buddy; I do not relish hitting that cold water at the start of a swim.
I’ve dove Morrison springs many times .It’s a great place to explore. At night you can go into a large open faced cave, turn off your light ,wait a few minutes and turn your light back on and you’ll be surrounded by tons of eels.Pretty cool
Wow,....That was a cool video you took in the water and also using the drone,.....Yes,...Great scenary under the water,....Thanks for sharing this video,....
Great footage. One thing it made me really appreciate, is just how well fish can see out of the water ... maybe anglers wearing camoflage gear isn't so silly after all. ...I also wonder if there's an underwater-drone harpoon-mod 🤔
So nice to see beautiful, clean water . This is what all water should look like. This makes me proud to know some people are still responsible and respect the resources they have.
Thank you, my father was born very near this spring in 1912. I was among the first to go into the caves with scuba equipment in the 50s. The underwater still looks the same. The fish were there then and some are very large bass. It has been over 60 years since I last visited the spring. There are several other interesting springs in this area.
I had to laugh at the way you say "Ponse Day Lee On " Florida. But in all actually I don't know If I say it right either! I suppose just like all people from the north, Cool gadget, thanks for sharing! That water cold? aww cmon you rugged southern fellas! I love these kind of videos thankyou! So many cool things to see in Florida.
Very kool but may I suggest you find another option to pulling it back via the cable , unfortunately the junction of wire to drone will always be the weakest point
Nice video! I have dove at Ginnys Spring. Cold doesn't phase me too much. Here in the PNW it's usually 43 degrees all year. Looking forward to viewing more treasure hunting finds. Lol
I used to dive this spring many years ago (20+) and it is beautiful. In the the garage area as you descend there are huge catfish and eels. Take a pack of hot dog wieners down and you will have a feeding frenzy. It is a magical and beautiful place, but demands respect.
Dove that spring many years ago. Recall a cave that was the source of the spring at about 60’, went down to around 100’. Lots a catfish and eels in there.
Very cool! No diving in there! Yikes, all those dead snags! And yeah--68 degree water is like 30 degrees less than body temperature, so sure it's going to feel frigid. My daughter just put in a pool last year--didn't get a heater, so no, I'm not jumping in there unless the air temp is 100+ degrees!
Sailing the drone. Unbelievable water clarity! So very beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you!!
Nope sailing is above the surface.
I would make a guess to say you were piloting the drone.
Sailing. Piloting refers to directing the boat, and a sub is still technically a boat. If its not submerged it plys as a ship does.
Actually piloting or sailing are probably interchangeable here, research needed?

That's when you tell the manager to go down himself and retrieve the drone if it means that much to him.
I'm afraid I would tell him a different place to go!!!
The fish seemed to be really interested in the drone. That was really awesome ! Thanks from all of us up here in Frankenmuth, Michigan !
Good size bass! Looked like you were trying to claw one. 😆 🤣
I was 🤣
It seemed to have a lower learning curve to use than I did with my aerial drone. It did a great job too!
Yea, thought he was gonna grab one with those claws.

That's better than a fish finder. More bass and big bluegill than glass bottom boat at Silver Springs years ago. Not sure about now.
Very cool, yes more videos! That looks like a good fishing spot 👌😊
as a kid I fantasized about seeing things like this. I want this drone! I was surprised when I saw it go below 33 ft (1 atmosphere). So cool that tech has advanced enough to make a UAV affordable for many
I know brother it is insane! I believe this drone is rated for 300 feet. A little over 9 atmospheres
Great vid man. I used to spend much time underwater as a SCUBA diver. Did it for 20 years. Great seeing the underwater footage.
Thank you!!
Sure you did 😂😂😂
The whole time watching I was thinking the cable was going to get snagged on all that debris.
😂 right ✅ 😂
Me too!
Thinking the same thing here
I was surprised it didn’t lol I like the heck out of that drone! I gotta get one.
Ditto. 🙂
Man that’s awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing the content. Love the drone work man
Thanks brother, I’m loving it!!
That place is a bass fisherman dream pond 🎣🎣🎣..nice video
@@richiegangemi5258 I have never been there
Looking forward to more videos. The drone had great clarity. Would love to have one. Keep up the good work and have fun doing it!
Enjoyed that. Great video.
wow! you could make those calming videos that are on replay. i could watch this all day. tyfs
🙌 🙌
My wife and I dove there 50 years ago. Lots has changed above the water. Underwater still looks great.
It’s missing the eelgrass
Pretty awesome drone footage!!! I would be doing some bass fishing there for sure!!! Great video as always!!!
No doubt lol I’ll be back soon with a pole lol
Awesome....i wonder if umbilical could become fouled along bottom?
My favorite videos are of creeks, rivers ,ponds ,lakes video of the seas are a dime a dozen thanks 👍
🙌
Beautiful eco system. Great video.
That was Awesome. Thanks for posting
Great video with a new toy hope to see more soon.
Excellent quality. Very interesting.

Gotta love drone fishing 🎣 🤖💧🐟🐟🤿🤖🤖🤖🤖. Beautiful underwater view!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This is with out doubt the most SHOCKING video ever seen, who would have thought all that life would be under water.
lol and then there’s this guy 🤣
In the 1960's my friends snorkel places like this and relayed all that the saw !
Apparently not YOU!! 🫣
By far the coolest thing I've ever seen on RUclips!
🙌 🙌
Offshore underwater vids would be awesome 😮
🙌
Especially at the oil rigs.
Would be nice to see a oil rig but internet service would be a problem
Like Captain Nemo
@@bradchapron9990. Why drill rigs are totally online.
Really good, this is way different than the usual whatever usual is. The filming was exceptionaly clear.
🙌
That video was most enjoyable. Thanks for posting.
Thank you!!
Cool video. How hard is it to keep the cord from being tangled in the roots or other obstructions?
Not very difficult. I didn’t have any issues on this trip.
@@southernsalt Very cool stuff! Thanks.

Yes there is a harpoon mod, a guy makes and sells them on one of the fifish pages

Loved your video. I would really enjoy seeing more underwater excursions.l am now a new subscriber.
Got more dropping Wednesday!
Yes please let see more of that underwater Drone ... where can I get the one you used ?
Fantastic machine, respect from the United Kingdom 🙏
Wow! I just found your channel! I hope I can somehow afford to get my hubby one for his b-day or Christmas!! He would love it!
I live about an hour away from there, that’s one of my fav places to go! ❤

Wow that was so awesome!
So happy to see it looks very healthy and alive. Thanks for sharing the largely unseen view.
Very cool, thank you from South Bend Indiana.
Awesome, thank you!!
Thank you from St Joseph , MI. Hi! To South Bend.
The clear as day azure water and plethora of structures makes this a truly beautiful underwater ecosystem. All that bass too!
I think Jacque Cousteau would be proud of you!
Looks like you should of brought the fishing pole with you! Neat video!
🙌
That is so cool! Would be awesome to have one except I live in southern Arizona and the nearest "lake" is a long way from home.
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed the drone action.
Thank you!!
@@southernsalt you bet have a great day!

That is how the locals say it 😅
How you said it is correct, it's located 10 miles east of Besooniak Springs!!😂
Does the line get tangled up while you’re underway?
Ya'll know there's gators in that spring?
It's Florida. There's gators in the neighbour's pool. Of course there's gators in a natural water source like this.
@@graktor868 No shıt Sherlock?... I live in Florida.
@@jamesf4405 I can tell. Not smart enough to know when someone is agreeing with you.
@graktor868 😂😂😂😂 what a weird interaction
Did my check dive for PADI here back in 1976, made to 55ft in the cave with the instructor! As a beginner, that was so cool!
Loved watching you swim the drone. Nice water and pool
🙌

@ 3:46 what do you think that structure is? Looks like a sunken boat and ...?
We are new to your channel. That was really cool. Nice clear picture.
Thank you!!
Beautiful shots. Is keeping cable from getting snagged on stuff a challenge?
I didn’t have a problem on the session.
Howd u manage that without gettin tangled up ??
You are a Pilot! You are Piloting the drone! Awesome!
🙌
That was SO cool. I love when I can see a place that I normally wouldn't be able to get a view of. Love it!
That’s awesome! But how do you keep that line from getting snagged on things?
That's some great footage guy's. ✌🏽❤️💛🖤🎶🇦🇺

🙌 just got done filming one this morning. Should drop Wednesday
Cool, what depth can it go?
100 meters
I believe
This was so interesting to watch, thanks!
Thank you!!
how much weight can your drone pick up?
How do you manage to not wrap the wire around obstacles and get all tangled up?
The water on that spring was awesome, really beautiful. I would say you were snorkeling or diving the drone...
🙌
Cool video, but how the hell you keep that cord from tangling?
It never tangled at all in this session.
Is the cable lightweight so it can float i.e. to prevent it from dragging along the bottom and getting snagged on something?
It is a floating cable
