From what I’ve seen with Lance, he progresses through reads the fastest out of all the QBs in the draft, and he’s a perfect fit for the 49ers offensive scheme
Can't even get excited as a Bears fan about the Rodgers situation, because in this wilderness situation, you just *KNOW* Belichick is hiding in the bushes about it.
To be fair: - Cincy’s left tackle is good - They signed Rieff to play RT (he’s solid) - The interior is the complete dog shit part of the line (Jackson Carman can play guard) - Chase is just as good
The Chase pick looking back, still a double edged sword. On the one hand, he immediately made a huge impact. On the other, Joe Burrow took an NFL record 1.6 billion sacks…in the playoffs.
Joe got hurt because of a guard. The Bengals only good linemen are their two tackles. They needed guard infinitely more than tackle. You don't draft Left Tackle Penei Sewell at 5 to make him play guard. Therefore they took a guard in round two.
I guess to put as an update for most the rookie QBs drafted I can remember, feel free to add any notable QBs I forgot if any: Lawrence: awful season sadly but shows potential still, can grow if Jacksonville helps him Wilson: Had good flashes with mobility but like Lawrence had his bad spots throughout the season, at one point getting overshadowed by MIKE WHITE Lance: was shown to be a decent wildcat option and did show some flashes for his few starts but overall nothing amazing, need more starts to tell Fields: though it was 50/50 between him and Dalton for starting he showed some great flashes despite being in an offense that didn’t know how to use a mobile QB, definitely someone to look for next season Jones: hyped to be the new Brady and has had good success despite throwing mostly short passes, though he had rookie problems randomly throughout the season, Belichick has his new piece Mills: surprisingly Davis Mills showed great potential despite having no expectations, nearly beating the Pats and beating the dog shit out of the Chargers, could be someone to watch in the next season Ehlinger: sadly never saw him start, preseason injury and absolutely 0 known about the guys capabilities If anyone wants to flesh out more stuff feel free!
Ian Book: Had one start for a team destroyed by injuries. He performed as expected of a day three pick forced to start before he was ready against a team making a push for the playoffs.
Kellen Mond: played 3 snaps, nearly threw an INT. Couldn’t get a Week 17 start over Sean Mannion, probably due to Zimmer hating Spielman for some reason and not wanting to play him or G Wyatt Davis
Well, Joe Burrows mobility returned and Chase was surprisingly able to create separation fast enough for Burrow to throw to him without getting killed again. Chase had to play like one of the best WRs in the league to justify the pick, and by God he has lived up to it so far. Hopefully that continues.
I mean, even as a buckeye fans, he looked really inconsistent as hell in 2020. We barely beat northwestern before Clemson because our run game destroyed Northwestern’s D in the second half
""Hey, look, let me tell y'all something: Y'all can boo all you want, but you got to accept it: I got a ring, I got a ring. I got a ring. It is what it is." Best draft announcement walk-on intro ever! Seriously, the first round was the "sexy pick" round for a lot of teams. So many teams ignored glaring needs to go for a hype pick. It was like the 2nd round was more of the "let's get real now" round for filling holes. And I support the Bald Man...GO BIG BLUE!
2:50 dear god, that pass was beautiful 6:30 bruh Jokic had a Taco Bell ad played over his draft announcement, I think you’ll live 9:39 I’m surprised we do see players do that more often. This is a huge moment for them
And Trey Lance has been dealt to Dallas for a 4th Rd pick. They traded 3 firsts for him which ended up becoming Waddle and used to trade for Tyreek Hill. What a complete failure for San Fran although it probably won’t hurt them too much
So here’s what’s so funny. When jerry traded down with philly he already knew that they needed devonta smith. But enter the second round jerry got a second round corner named kelvin joseph. What’s so special about kelvin you may ask? During devonta’s time in college he had very few corners that locked him down. And guess who’s one of those corners that locked devonta down? Kelvin joseph. Jerry already had a contingency plan if he had to trade with a rival.
2 years in: TLaw is living up to the hype Fields is QB2, but more because every other QB sucks. Still has elite potential Zach Wilson is a generational bust and the jets are still the jets Micah Parsons is HIM Jamarr chase was the right pick Eagles finally got it right with devonta smith Pitts has been average and Atlanta should have picked cb or fields Horn and surtain have been about equal, but I give horn the edge for now The OL have all been solid Raiders drafted yet another bust Najee is starting to regress Etienne is starting to see his potential Ironic that the dolphins drafted someone with concussion issues. At least waddle is good I haven't heard about some of these guys since this video Comment if you want to add something
I think this is one of those rare draft years where all QBs drafted in the 1st Round will succeed in their respective situations. I’m confident in their abilities. The league is getting crazy competitive. It feels like almost every team at least as a Decent to Great QB talent. Not one team has a complete bum at QB.
Rough guesstimate but here goes If panthers pick pat surtian who was considered the best corner maybe the Broncos don’t like horn nearly as much and the draft would go like this Panthers: Patrick Surtain Broncos: Justin fields Cowboys: Jaycee Horn Giants: Devonta Smith Eagles: Micah Parsons Interesting how unpredictable picks can completely change the league like with tribisky mahomes and Watson.
Tree was both right and wrong. Jamarr Chase is fucking amazing and literally set an NFL record... ...but Cincy's lack of Offensive Line strength ultimately cost them against the Monstars in the Super Bowl.
On the one hand Chase has looked really good, so the pick didn't hurt Cincy in the end. On the other hand, like Tree feared, the Bungles still have no offensive line and they passed on Penei Sewell to do so. At least it makes their off-season pretty straightforward: Improve the offensive line and add to the defense. They have QB, RB, WR and TE down. Now it's time to add more pieces in the draft and FA.
As the Regular Season comes to a close, let's take a look at some of the Draft Picks. Trevor Lawrence: He showed flashes, but had a rough season all around. doesn't help that Urban Meyer was doing Urban Meyer things. Zach Wilson: Dealt with injuries early on, but had a nice final 6 games. Trey Lance: Played Three Games, Played well in them. Had the Typical Rookie Struggles, but is learning the System with every passing week. Ja'Marr Chase: Had the Dropsies in the Preseason, but then puts together a Rookie of the Year Campaign, and is a huge part why the Bengals won the AFC North. Patrick Surtain: Had Himself a Solid Rookie Season. 4 Interceptions, to go with 45 tackles. Micah Parsons: A Defensive Rookie of the Year Candidate, and a part of a Cowboys Defense that was one of the best in the NFL. Mac Jones: Solid Season, over 3,800 yards passing, although he did turnover the ball a lot as he had 13 picks. Kadarius Toney: Had one good game against the Cowboys, but had a Quiet Season. 0 TD's on the year. Davis Mills: Surprisingly, He did very well considering the team he was on. Houston might have accidentally found their new QB for next season. Najee Harris: Had a good season. If the Steelers get an O-Line, Harris can turn into a stud.

@@bd8037 well I just hope we can make it up layer. We all make mistakes to get something
Coming back to this it fits to perfect. Chase helped them get to the superbowl. But at the end of the day, the O-line (position people thought they were gonna pick) was there downfall. It lost them the superbowl. I hope they get back. I just think how funny and poetic how it ended
Going into 2023:
Lawrence: free of Urban Meyer to be who we thought he'd be
Wilson: Oh dear
Lance: Injured in Week 2 and potentially getting replaced by Mr Irrelevant as the guy going forward
Pitts: Ehhhhhhh okay, allergic to the ball in the red zone
Chase: One of of not the catalyst for the Bengals' SB run and one of the best recievers in the league
Waddle: Also excellent
Sewell: Cornerstone of elite Detroit OL
Horn: Injured
Surtain: one of the best CBs in the game despite Denver sucking
Smith: Another outstanding WR2 behind a superstar
Fields: Unrealised potential so far
Parsons: I think Dallas isn't worrying about Surtain right about now
Slater: injured last year but rookie year was outstanding
Vera-Tucker: Okay but often injured
Jones: Hard fall-off year 2 but how much that was because of Matt Patricia is to be determined
Tree this Raycon ad is the best I've ever seen!
I don't know much about football but my friends liked the 49ers draft choice.
He’s a book or bust talent though he’ll either be a Russell Wilson esc player or a David Carr type of QB
Fits perfectly in the niners scheme. He's going to a loaded team so he has the chance to truly dominate
What a cool comment
From what I’ve seen with Lance, he progresses through reads the fastest out of all the QBs in the draft, and he’s a perfect fit for the 49ers offensive scheme
@@machoboys8884 David Carr was failed by his own team
Tree being excited about the Dolphins is so great to see
Can't even get excited as a Bears fan about the Rodgers situation, because in this wilderness situation, you just *KNOW* Belichick is hiding in the bushes about it.
I rather have him join the evil Empire to the East than the packers
Rodgers and Belichick would NOT get along. Just saying.
Patriots have Mac Jones, they don't need Rodgers
@@ReflectionOfPerfectiondamn………
@jasonhenry7182 Lol if Rodgers didn't snap his achillies the first play of the season, you might have me here🤣
“Fuck You Spanos!”
Ahhhhh hearing that phrase again brought me so much happinesses.
Well, he DID say Wilson would be boom or bust...
To be fair:
- Cincy’s left tackle is good
- They signed Rieff to play RT (he’s solid)
- The interior is the complete dog shit part of the line (Jackson Carman can play guard)
- Chase is just as good
Good call, Bengals are the AFC North champs and Chase got them there.
Good call, Bengals are Super Bowl bound and Chase got them there
Aged well
The Chase pick looking back, still a double edged sword. On the one hand, he immediately made a huge impact. On the other, Joe Burrow took an NFL record 1.6 billion sacks…in the playoffs.
I can’t wait for these takes to age like the Mahomes one
Only Tree can make sponsorships fun. I was wondering when this video was going to come out and now it’s here. Well done!
2 years later and the chase thing is great, he’s a top 2 wr
And etienne, although I also hated that pick…
RIP Burrow and his knee's hopes and dreams...
2020-2021
F
Joe got hurt because of a guard. The Bengals only good linemen are their two tackles. They needed guard infinitely more than tackle. You don't draft Left Tackle Penei Sewell at 5 to make him play guard. Therefore they took a guard in round two.
lol
........
Chase was the right pick. OL was deep in this class and outside receivers were not. Still got a solid OL in the 2nd round
@@biznichin13 who are you kidding that bengals took the worst ol in the second round mediocre forever
So glad that UT mentioned Divine Deablo.
As a Seahawks fan, I look forward to your comments on our first round pi.. oh wait.
What’s great about this comment is I can use this nearly every year.
I look forward to see how our picks gonna get bashed again just because we only had 3 picks
At least the three picks they had were used relatively well for what they were. That and I have cautious optimism with the UFA’s
I usually hate sponsor adds but that was an amazing integration
I only watch sponsor ads by UrinatingTree. I will not watch anyone else's.
I guess to put as an update for most the rookie QBs drafted I can remember, feel free to add any notable QBs I forgot if any:
Lawrence: awful season sadly but shows potential still, can grow if Jacksonville helps him
Wilson: Had good flashes with mobility but like Lawrence had his bad spots throughout the season, at one point getting overshadowed by MIKE WHITE
Lance: was shown to be a decent wildcat option and did show some flashes for his few starts but overall nothing amazing, need more starts to tell
Fields: though it was 50/50 between him and Dalton for starting he showed some great flashes despite being in an offense that didn’t know how to use a mobile QB, definitely someone to look for next season
Jones: hyped to be the new Brady and has had good success despite throwing mostly short passes, though he had rookie problems randomly throughout the season, Belichick has his new piece
Mills: surprisingly Davis Mills showed great potential despite having no expectations, nearly beating the Pats and beating the dog shit out of the Chargers, could be someone to watch in the next season
Ehlinger: sadly never saw him start, preseason injury and absolutely 0 known about the guys capabilities
If anyone wants to flesh out more stuff feel free!
Ohhhh man, the Bengals pick. Plus the iconic giants pick. One that was shockingly accurate, and cinci's pick, which took em to the super bowl
Well, Joe Burrows mobility returned and Chase was surprisingly able to create separation fast enough for Burrow to throw to him without getting killed again. Chase had to play like one of the best WRs in the league to justify the pick, and by God he has lived up to it so far. Hopefully that continues.
Talking about fields: "he's underperformed in every game I saw from him"
*throws for 385yd and 6td vs Clemson*
I mean, even as a buckeye fans, he looked really inconsistent as hell in 2020. We barely beat northwestern before Clemson because our run game destroyed Northwestern’s D in the second half
3:24 The Dolphins made off like absolute bandits considering what they did with the 49ers assets from that deal.
That JaMarr Chase take from Tree is aging well 😅
remarkably well
“The bears did something right” - says everyone on Earrh

6:30 bruh Jokic had a Taco Bell ad played over his draft announcement, I think you’ll live
9:39 I’m surprised we do see players do that more often. This is a huge moment for them
Mr. Tree out here sounding like Arlo at 8:07
The sad thing is the Broncos are a QB away from SB contention but they keeping jacking all of their chances to get a good one.
Coming back here just to say two words ; Zach Wilson 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I and I know many others have been waiting for this video. MAKE FUN OF THE PACKERS TIME!
Looks like JaMarr Chase worked out well for the Bengals. ROY & Super Bowl!
"I wasn't planning on drinking tonight, but I guess plans change." - My Texans fan friend after the Davis Mills pick.
2 years in:
TLaw is living up to the hype
Fields is QB2, but more because every other QB sucks. Still has elite potential
Zach Wilson is a generational bust and the jets are still the jets
Micah Parsons is HIM
Jamarr chase was the right pick
Eagles finally got it right with devonta smith
Pitts has been average and Atlanta should have picked cb or fields
Horn and surtain have been about equal, but I give horn the edge for now
The OL have all been solid
Raiders drafted yet another bust
Najee is starting to regress
Etienne is starting to see his potential
Ironic that the dolphins drafted someone with concussion issues. At least waddle is good
I haven't heard about some of these guys since this video
Comment if you want to add something
Crazy how Micah was option B.
Also Najee has no Oline to run behind, Pitts was great year 1 but just doesn't gel with Ridder/Mariota
“At least I still have the bungles to pick on…” aged very very poorly
so poorly
They still have a chance to bungle against the Rams.
Here after Jaycee Horn put up better stats than PS2 but will be forever slept on for no reason.
“Jacksonville I will find you” got me 😂
"Atleast your not a Houston Texans fan." Damnit Bill
Go Bengals!! The Chase pick is looking nice
Another vid with 1 million views. A sight to truly behold.
Honestly the greatest paid sponsorship ad in any video I’ve seen. Thanks for being creative on this one tree
I think this is one of those rare draft years where all QBs drafted in the 1st Round will succeed in their respective situations. I’m confident in their abilities. The league is getting crazy competitive. It feels like almost every team at least as a Decent to Great QB talent. Not one team has a complete bum at QB.
19:44 that one didn’t age quite so well
The moment we’ve been waiting for
Rough guesstimate but here goes
If panthers pick pat surtian who was considered the best corner maybe the Broncos don’t like horn nearly as much and the draft would go like this
Panthers: Patrick Surtain
Broncos: Justin fields
Cowboys: Jaycee Horn
Giants: Devonta Smith
Eagles: Micah Parsons
Interesting how unpredictable picks can completely change the league like with tribisky mahomes and Watson.
Tree man dropping this fire like the MCU phase 4 trailerl!!!!
From 5th overall pick to Super Bowl team. The bengals did good that draft
Tree was both right and wrong.
Jamarr Chase is fucking amazing and literally set an NFL record...
...but Cincy's lack of Offensive Line strength ultimately cost them against the Monstars in the Super Bowl.
The pick that changes the Detroit Lions entire culture
My e25’s haven’t worked in months but get that bag bro
Thanks for all of your hard work making these videos.
I can finally stop checking for this vid every 15 minutes
Tree was right SF got their QB of the future… Purdy.
“At least I have the bengals to pick on”
That aged well
Very well
"With the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the 'modern consumers' select Raycon E25". Best way to advertise!
They gotta re-sign CJ this offseason but I’m certain he wants to stay in cincy so they’ll work something off
As the Regular Season comes to a close, let's take a look at some of the Draft Picks.
