Here’s the thing about the Jordan Morgan pick. Gute and company are (usually) pretty good at finding and developing stud offensive linemen. Would it have been nice to have one of the other guys… sure. But if he saw something in Morgan, I trust him. Plus, it’s fairly obvious that they weren’t super high on DeJean or McKinstry given that they didn’t try to trade up for either in the second
I don't think corner was a need, or at least it was overblown by the media. Safety was for sure, and Gute fully addressed the position, but if there was a corner that Gute wanted he would have traded up to get him.

Rams fan checkin in (there are dozens of us!) I feel we did pretty well. They're saying Fiske was a reach at #39 but those analyses don't take into account how the draft unfolded in front of the pick, I think getting him and Verse together improves the value of both guys. Happy that we took a kicker too, I still think the Rams beat the Lions in the playoffs if they had a competent kicker
The actual reason that the 49ers picked Pearsall was because of the Super Bowl. That botched punt was painful, and it's more than likely why the Niners let go of Ray Ray McCloud during free agency.

An overwatered in a desert stadium with a feature to roll the grass stadium outside to get some sun and the worst-timed penalty in the history of the Super Bowl? The wrong team won in 57.
