If he did play with the Steelers and it didn't work out, I totally could've seen him in the pre-merger XFL or USFL. It's probably for the best that you didn't rate him. We will never forget how Adam Schefter described Haskins when he reported his death! 😒
I think you handled Haskins appropriately. Can’t really grade his career when his story was cut short. As for Washington, I think you can give them a failing grade on the pick because they either chose a bad player or killed a player’s potential by bringing him into a situation that he couldn’t fit into
Haskins died way to young, but it is hard to deny that he was a draft bust. As someone who has been raised in Ohio to support the Buckeyes, it really sucks saying it.
That description of Hollywood Brown could also describe Brandin Cooks. Also, as an Eagles fan, that jab at Arcega-Whiteside hurt. Dillard over Lindstrom. JJAW over DK. Then Howie puked a SpongeBob and said "wanna see me do it again?" and did an encore with Reagor over JJ. We all were very anti Howie for a while.
This draft class outside of the QBs really was absolutely stacked. And the Raiders still managed to fuck up Edit; to add it’s even funnier that, had they actually watched tape, they could’ve seen Wilkins or Lawrence RIGHT THERE next to Ferrell lol
The thing about the mayock and gruden regime is that that they missed the fourth overall pick, but they nailed a lot of their draft selections in the later rounds. Maxx Crosby being the most obvious example. It just really made you wish as a fan that they would have traded those picks either to fall back in the draft or to get somebody that they liked as a prospect like they did with Marcus Mariota. It's was a shame to see we essentially four first round picks go to waste on players that didn't even contribute. Btw, I'm not counting Henry ruggs because, although he obviously had issues, they were not on the field, so there was nothing wrong with the pick itself, just with the character of the player afterwards.
As a Bears fan, I'm amazed Sweat didn't cook more on the Commies. Maybe got some motivation on a team's mid-year turnaround. Please keep this series up Tree - Great work!
I think Tree handled the Dwayne Haskins analysis in a very respectful and classy manner.
Much respect for giving Dwayne Haskins the N/A , one of the most tragic stories ever. RIP DH
As a Carolina fan I want nothing more than for Fitterer to never have another job in the NFL
Kyler was the only right pick then and still is.. when healthy he's a top 10 QB and I hate evaluation on statics but statically right now he's a top 5 QB
If Jordan Love has another excellent year... I can't wait to see what UTree will say about 2020 revisit!
Bro knew the best moment to upload this would be
So many really good DTs in this draft
Dwayne Haskins wasn't really a draft bust. He was a what could have been. He never got to play with the Steelers during his one and only season. If he did play with the Steelers and it didn't work out, I totally could've seen him in the pre-merger XFL or USFL. It's probably for the best that you didn't rate him. We will never forget how Adam Schefter described Haskins when he reported his death! 😒
As I was watching this, you were talking about Hollywood Brown. The Cardinals drafted Marvin Harrison Jr. Oh God.
I'd watch a deep dive into the Quinntricia Era of the Detroit Lions
As a Steelers fan, I felt Haskins just needed some guidance and support. I wish he turned his life around. He was way too young RIP.
This draft class outside of the QBs really was absolutely stacked. And the Raiders still managed to fuck up
Edit; to add it’s even funnier that, had they actually watched tape, they could’ve seen Wilkins or Lawrence RIGHT THERE next to Ferrell lol
Right before the draft, Tree? Bold.
Like last year's Bears weren't gonna win playoff games, but things started going from bad to mid rather quickly in the 2nd half with plenty of help from Sweat, and I'd be surprised if this season doesn't carry a ton of motivation for Sweat to keep on cooking.
As a Dolphins fan I still cry over Christian Wilkins leaving 😭
