As a Raiders fan, what you gotta understand about the Gruden and Mayock era was who was in charge of making selections. Gruden exercised a lot more authority over the first round picks, and he seemed to make faaar worse selections than Mayock, who did most of the later round picks. Obviously Mayock had his flaws in team building and evaluating still, but a number of his non-first round picks actually turned out much better than the general conception people have of the team’s drafting capabilities

I think its safe to say the Patriots drafting NKeal Harry was the end of the dynasty. Not only did they miss out on Brown, McLauren, Samuel and Metcalf but the offense sputtered so hard that God Brady left town. Any one of those four could have offset the suspension of Josh Gordon and releasing of Antonio Brown in 2019. Not to mention would have been a standout in 2021 when Mac Jones didn't suck.

Unfortunately for Haskins he wound up being in the middle of a war between owner Dan Snyder and coach Jay Gruden. Snyder wanted Haskins but Gruden didn't. Snyder ordered Gruden to draft him so he did but basically refused to play him or coach him. Snyder then ordered Gruden to play him and since Haskins was never really coached he was terrible.

Ron Rivera completely sabotaged Dwayne Haskins. He moved the goal posts for him so many times and his mistakes were used to cover Ron's ass. Haskins was doomed before he even set foot in camp. Bad ownership, Gruden never wanted him and would trash him behind his back, media taking potshots before he even played a game, badly built team, and even with a new staff it was obvious the indifference from Rivera and crew were there. Maturity issues were there but I feel way overblown by media with an axe to grind. I really felt the Steelers could’ve been a turning point for him.

If he did play with the Steelers and it didn't work out, I totally could've seen him in the pre-merger XFL or USFL. It's probably for the best that you didn't rate him. I think you handled Haskins appropriately. Can’t really grade his career when his story was cut short. As for Washington, I think you can give them a failing grade on the pick because they either chose a bad player or killed a player’s potential by bringing him into a situation that he couldn’t fit into

Also, as an Eagles fan, that jab at Arcega-Whiteside hurt. Dillard over Lindstrom. JJAW over DK. Then Howie puked a SpongeBob and said "wanna see me do it again?" and did an encore with Reagor over JJ.

The thing about the mayock and gruden regime is that that they missed the fourth overall pick, but they nailed a lot of their draft selections in the later rounds. Maxx Crosby being the most obvious example. It just really made you wish as a fan that they would have traded those picks either to fall back in the draft or to get somebody that they liked as a prospect like they did with Marcus Mariota. It's was a shame to see we essentially four first round picks go to waste on players that didn't even contribute. Btw, I'm not counting Henry ruggs because, although he obviously had issues, they were not on the field, so there was nothing wrong with the pick itself, just with the character of the player afterwards.

As a Bears fan, I'm amazed Sweat didn't cook more on the Commies. Maybe got some motivation on a team's mid-year turnaround. Like last year's Bears weren't gonna win playoff games, but things started going from bad to mid rather quickly in the 2nd half with plenty of help from Sweat, and I'd be surprised if this season doesn't carry a ton of motivation for Sweat to keep on cooking.
