@@kingzutHe'd won them their only playoff game since the team "returned from its hiatus" in 1999. Prior to that, his rookie season was at the time one of the best ever and took the Browns from 1-31 across the two seasons before him to 7-8-1 with him under center. The year the Browns got rid of him, he was playing with an injured shoulder that I'm pretty sure team staff refused to correctly rehabilitate. He's as much of a franchise quarterback as they've had in this century.

Deshawn's initial problem was his insane appetite for different sexual partners.. he got in the NFL and act like a 16 year old who has never been with a girl before and just decided to be with all of them that he could have at one time. Second problem is being in the cities of Houston and now Cleveland as a sexually promiscuous black man.. the third issue was the browns giving him a guaranteed contract meaning he is not going to try as hard he is not going to work as hard he's not going to work out as far as he's not going to care because even if he is the most terrible quarterback in the league he still gets paid better than Tom Brady..

This contract and his injury should basically bankrupt this organization, but when all is said and done, it will not. The craziest thing about this is that Deshaun Watson is STILL ranked #6 in highest career passer rating in NFL HISTORY. That's after he's dropped slightly the past couple of years. Supposedly the Texans implemented an offense similar to Watson's college offense and Stefanski refused to do the same, with all the injuries and suspensions, I guess he just never got the chance to learn a pro style offense. Honestly one of the craziest career arcs in nfl history. This year is just so full of examples reminding us that QB's are HIGHLY dependent on their surroundings. You cannot take a qb out of one situation, put him in another, and expect the same results. The NFL also needs to go back to the days of sitting their rookie qb's for a year or two instead of throwing them into the fire immediately. Yeah SOME rookies keep up but most don't and then they get shat on for sucking when a lot of them simply need more development. Go back and look at Josh Allen's or Lamar Jackson's rookie years vs. later years. These are two of the most talented QB's in the league and they were mediocre as rookies.

I grew up around Detroit and moved to Cleveland about 8 years ago. Needles to say I’ve seen 40+ years of bad football up close. Seeing the Lions finally start to turn their franchise around really shows the ineptitude of The Browns.

In Watsons defense. A good coach should always play to the strengths of his players. If he understands Clemsona offense. Use that and build variation.
Not a Watson defender though. Don’t SA women.

I just don’t think this situation was completely unknown. Like, predator behavior escalates over time. Watson had to be doing some shenanigans in Clemson. It just makes sense. Maybe not to the same severity as we have heard recently, but he was probably building up to what we know now.

Sounds like we might be seeing DeShaun up here in the CFL when his contract is up. Maybe DeShaun can hit a receiver when the field is wider and longer with endzones double the size. In ther positives, since there's only 3 downs, he won't ever have to convert on them.

I think Stefanski was being forced to start him. So he's probably getting fired after this year.
Haslam actually had something special here and his meddling has blown it up so badly that a huge chunk of what was an unshakably loyal fanbase is so done that we don't care if they move the team out of Cleveland again.
