    I am a DC area native. I knew that the team with the highest number of bad contracts would be The Redskins under Dan Snyder. I also knew that Albert Haynesworth would be #1 on the list.

      Me too, Adam Archuleta, Deion, Jeff George, Trung Candidate, McNabb, Josh Norman had 1 good year with us and was average at 16 17 mil a year, Bruce Smith, he was alright but at the tail end of his career, we had some good ones but ones that sucked more, Kendall Reyes, and one orher signed and JayGruden said we got 2 interior guys instead of Calais Campbell who was a beast still 7 or 8 years ago, so basically we got 2 suck players at cheap Bruce Allen prices instead of paying 1 really productive player Bruce would say you want to play here because of the history of the Redskins so take our discount, even low balled Kirk so he left, cut Swearinger for calling out the lazy practices, cut Ricky Jean dude because he was a Scot McCloughan guy and called out bs on something in the organization, he was ok not great but effective,I can go on for hours but I won't 😢😂😂

      I was born and raised in MD (Upper Marlboro & Capitol Heights) until I moved to AL Mar-Apr of 2011. I remember the day after the Monday Night Massacre on 106.7 The Fan. Lavar Arrington and his co-host were going off on the effort Washington put up against my Eagles and pointing out Haynesworth literally sitting on his ass. It was hilarious

      i still laugh at the story about him taking 3 weeks to even attempt a conditioning test then couldn't even come close to finishing it
      possibly the biggest laziest waste of talent we've ever seen in any sport......... the dude went from dominant freak to useless turd in the blink of an eye

    Sam Bradford was the last #1 pick before rookie contracts were restructured. He fleeced the NFL like no other. His knees were just slightly stronger than Fred Taylor's hamstrings.

      Personally, I ragequit from them in 2016 when they became the only team to lose to the Browns in two years. I haven't looked back. I applaud you for staying loyal.

      Yea back in the mid 2000s #1 picks were negotiating their rookie signing deals. I remember Jamarcus Russell held out for $50M and was the biggest bust in raiders history and maybe NFL history as a #1 pick next to Ryan Leaf but he was a #2 pick after Peyton. I just can’t believe Sam Bradford was still playing in 2018? I thought he had retired in 2015 but teams were throwing money at him.🤷‍♂️

    My dad and I were in a fantasy draft together in 2019, and he asked me to draft bc he would miss due to work. For his first round pick, I chose Le’Veon Bell over Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott had 1300 yards and 12 TDs while Bell had the year he had with the Jets. My dad hasn’t allowed me to draft for him since.

      I disagree. Foles was horrible when he got back from injury and never won a game as a starter. Meanwhile rookie Gardner Minshew went 6.6 and played a lot better with the same team. Minshew has never looked that good since.

    For me, the lasting image of Haynesworth in DC will be a clip someone made of the play from that Eagles game where Haynesworth was blocked, put on the ground, and just laid there while the footage played in slow motion to Bob Dylan's "Lay, Lady, Lay."

    I'd probably give Javon Walker a break here. Let's not forget he was never the same after Darrent Williams was murdered. Williams literally died in Walker's lap. That's some horrible trauma to endure.

    Oh man. Kenny Golladay was so good here in Detroit and then he just completely gave up. He started caring more about posting his cute designer outfits on Instagram than football. Glad we dodged that bullet not resigning him. I was so upset when we didn’t too lol.

Signed 5 years $70 million dollars contract with Denver Broncos than deal with injuries, in his career like always not impact player and troublemaker in 2 seasons with team, then got traded to 49ers half to 2023 season and lost in Super Bowl

    Thanks for the video. I remember every single one of these players and forgot about some. Neil odonell beat Jim harbaugh in the ‘95 afc champ game and made the SB with Pitt but lost to a great Dallas team. If we’re not talking money, he ended up the best of all of these guys in the video.

    *Peyton Manning signs with the Denver Broncos in 2012 (helps them win Super Bowl 50).
    *Reggie White signs with the Green Bay Packers in 1993 (helps them win Super Bowl XXX).

    Some of these free agent signings don't always have to do with players underperforming it sometimes is due to stars going to bad teams, nmadi was a great zone corner but when he signed with the eagles they had him play more man and press than he ever played in oakland.

    To be fair to Nandi, he played on the left side of the field only in Oakland and Philly thought he was a shutdown corner that could travel with the best receiver (ala Darelle Revis). It was a bad system fit, but no one is crying for Nandi, he married Kerry Washington.

    From what I heard about the Albert Haynesworth situation is that he went from playing on a 4-3 Defense with Tennessee to playing on a 3-4 Defense with Washington, which he HATED. That's why he struggled there and getting into it with the head coach.

      He was a fun player in Seattle but you knew when he left he was gonna get paid to take on a bigger role. I don't think the financials for a 5 year/40 million is the worst deal if he had continued growing as a player. I think it was a rare worthwhile risk by Washington under Snyder considering just how bloated WR salaries randomly got.

    See the Cowboys avoid being on the list by ignoring free agency and re-signing their own guys to ridiculous contracts that end up in them being cut early 90% of the time. Always having dead cap
    from this also makes it so we never use free agency

    I'm starting to think most free agent signings in the NFL end up being busts, that's why I don't know why free agency is such a big deal in the NFL, most never live up to the money they get or just flat out suck

    Some of the honorable mentions are examples of desperation by a team. It's not that this player is worth that money, but we need a player of at least their talent so we will pay them as if they are a higher talent and assume that is the case. Its a move usually done by someone desperate to fill the shortcomings of their drafting and free agency finds from a season before, or to patch the roster they obtained from someone else. There's only so much talent to go around but to bid against yourself for a player you know and everyone knows is a reach is a quick way for someone to reach for your contract as GM/HC and tear it up.
