I love that your kitty just wanders around you while you quilt❤ Oh my...I've had to seam rip lots of blocks before too...not fun....!!! I'm so glad you did unpick...made a huge difference.❤ Your quilt turned out lovely❤
Another great quilt idea. Can’t wait for you to make a quilt from the Patriotic book in colors other than red, white and blue!!! You are so relatable when it comes to making mistakes. Glad you fixed it and even more glad you caught it before it was quilted! My nephew received a sailboat quilt with a set of sails going the opposite of all the others!! They call the quilt the Fail Sail! As always, enjoyed watching your video!!!
Thanks for being so real! Not very often do the tutorials let us know errors. Thanks ...seems I rarely am able to do any blocks without having to redo! Do I'm not alone,... Thanks for being REAL!
Sometimes you can find the pattern book at a library. Then all you have to do is check it out and follow the instructions. I have had some good luck finding quilt pattern books at Goodwill. However, it is always in my mind that whoever those books first belonged to may no longer be living. I have no idea what will become of my treasures after I'm gone. Most of our children (and some husbands) see our sewing/quilting/crafting supplies as junk. I love the way you are wearing your hair. I call all my seam rippers "Jack the Ripper". I have worn out many Jack the Rippers. Give that sweet cat some love for me. I love those little paws. That pattern would make wonderful baby quilts. Thank you for this video.
I love this ... I can tell you my thought on the stuff I have ... I am going to spend all my money on it .. and it is my kids that have to deal with it when I am gone ...LOL I am enjoying it now ... If they are smart .. they will donate it to some place that will use it / or a person that is worth of my quilt books ...cause I love them so! Only a quilter would understand the love a quilt pattern book! LOL thanks for sharing ... and I gave the kitties extra love from you today! April
I'm so glad your "friend" convinced you to redo those first two rows!! I really like the quilt you made & the fabric choices were very pretty. Thanks for sharing.
You have such an eye for fabric "go togethers"....love the quilt. ! I always thought those colors on the selvage was a guide to what colors would coordinate with that pattern.....I guess I was wrong. You are awesome April...
Good for you April for unpicking those rows😂😊❣️ You lived through it😂😂 Tell Sherry that I appreciate her influence on you😍 Great video and quilt & I loved the border tip. I’ll use it❤️🍫🍩🍪
If I tell her she will never let me live it down. lol. But you know me - I will tell her and deal with the 'I told you so' that I have coming. ;-) April
I look forward to watching you create and all that comes your way. You are so talented. I am building my confidence to try another table runner. Until next time😁
I love the smaller quilts too, since I really get bored with to much repetition, i.e. lots of the same blocks over and over, ugh. I call throw quilts fun, others work. The quilt is pretty and I love the colors. Thanks for the great videos, I enjoy spending sewing breaks watching your channel. Have a good week with sew much fun.
Things I love: focus fabric, kitty cat helping, your attitude, no fear in deviating from the pattern, your joie de vivre, these videos, and YOU! Thank you for sharing yourself with us.
April, so glad you took the time to fix the 2 rows. Those secondary stars were important to the overall design of the quilt. I was not sure you would have enough faaric from the 1 yards to make the two borders. Love the colors and the pattern.
April, you are so dear to my heart. We share our love for Jack. Honestly, something I think is going to be so simple ends up needing assistance from Jack
You are so sweet. I have a love hate relationship with Jack. LOL. And I feel ya - every time I think It is going to be easy - I make a silly mistake. It keeps me humble. ;-) April
Good morning from So. Texas! April, The suggestion to use "Jack" was a good one, the design is happy. Did Tim Holtz, mentioned that the selvage design has a few uses besides the # of dye runs. Do tell your guys and gals , if they have doubt about matching colors from their stash, to look on the edges to match those color dots. Also, something I recently learned, is the repeat is easy to measure from the selvage's color and words. I always had to go with searching the exact repeat by the design, that process takes a lot longer than measuring from one blue dot to the next.. Try it you'll love that tip.
You are awesome!!! I will definitely share that information - Tim did not include that info. In his defense he isn't much of a sewer. But that man can design some beautiful grunge. Thank you for the wonderful info and for watching. 🙂April
I like this quilt and I like the tip about folding the top over to sew the border on. I will be trying this for sure! I am glad you changed your misdirected blocks! I couldn’t let those go either! Thanks for doing that…I will sleep better tonight! ☺
Happy Halloween April 🎃 You have a such a funny sense of humor. You had me chuckling out loud 😂 Really liked your take on fraying the strips. Your grand daughters are going to love their quilts. Thanks for sharing. Off to eat some chocolate after all it IS Halloween 😊
Glad Sherrie convinced you to fix the quilt. 😊 Glad to see I’m not the only one that makes the borders wider. I never use the fabric allowance they have for the binding. Well done and very pretty
Love this design and your presentation. Refreshing to actually hear a presenter admitting an error - well done! There is hope for the rest of us. Love the channel, ❤
Hi Fran - you know I LOVE your patterns and you just keep coming up with more great ones. I can't wait to get started on the Fourth of July Quilts. :-) April
Love the flower fabric the colors are so vibrant. Just like you! ❤ Also if you take an extra moment to sew another seam a half inch away on your snow balled corners then cut between the seams. You will have some already made HST's for future projects. Nice to see Maxine helping.
Perfect fabrics! Turned out great... 3 yard quilts are my favorite! I love how you always add your own borders. Could do a cute pillow with your left over triangles.
I am making Landslide right now. I don’t know why it has taken me so long to do one of their patterns. I just have to put on the border. I hate following patterns but it was easy. I guess I am more of a visual learner.
I love fabric cafe 3 yard quilts. Thank you for doing them. I hope one day you will do sugar pie. So I can see exactly how it is put together. I already have my beautiful fabric but I’m scared to cut it 😅love your channel ❤thank you Tina
I'm confused- still looks like row 1 & 2 are still snowballed incorrectly.... Nope- it's right if you turn the pattern upside down LOL. ❤ your fabric. I have this pattern book- it's great to see the patterns come to life! Fabric Cafe has awesome patterns! 😊
Love your color choice on this quilt and I also love three yard quilt patterns. Thank you for your tip on folding the quilt before putting your borders on.
Another wonderful quilt 🤩 These three yard quilts are amazing 😃 Think it was worth the extra ‘ripping’ time, but it is frustrating when blocks get ‘mixed up’ 🤷♀️ Thanks for sharing everything 👍👏👏🇬🇧
Absolutely beautiful!!! Love watching your tutorials. I also hate ripping out, but if I don’t it will bug me til I do, especially if I am giving the quilt away. Love the vibrant colors you chose.
I hate ripping out stitches! And I don't know if I would be bothered by the quilt, but Sherry would never let me forget it. LOL. Thank you for watching and I hope I get a conscience like yours where it bugs me if it is wrong. Ha ha. April

Fabric 1 is AMAZING! I have fabric envy 😢
It really is!
The only way to satisfy fabric envy is to get it in 108" in the same fabric that she has a yard of 40" wide... lol!!!
love this fabric, if i had this i believe i could do it.
You can do it!
Good for you April for unpicking those rows😂😊❣️ You lived through it😂😂

Turned out cute. I very much dislike doing quilt surgery. If the unintentional ‘design’ decision doesn’t bother me too much, I leave it. 😂
You are a woman after my own heart! See Sherry! LOL. Thank you for watching and sharing that we think alike. ;-)
