You can just to one if you're in a bind. You should always do them both. When one goes the other will be coming up soon as they generally get installed together. Thanks for watching.
Wow! A few months ago, I replaced both CV axles and the ECGS needle bearing on the driver's side of my 2005 Toyota Tacoma, and the wheel bearings were bright and clean inside, as if brand new! Even with chewed up rear (CV side) seals on the hub there was no dirt or water penetration. Surprised yours are so cruddy if only a few months old.
I see that you are running wheel spacers. I have always been on the fence about them. But seeing that you have them I would like to see if you have any advice on what to buy and install?
Sure man, wheel spacers get a bad rap. It’s usually the ones you buy at the auto parts store that are not hub centric. They are small and get sandwiched in between the wheel and the hub. Those are garbage and prone to failure. As long as you purchase hub centric for your vehicle, have the correct length studs, torque everything down correctly, and they come from a reputable company, they should be fine. I have been on spacers for at least 10 years on different vehicles. Not a single issue with the spacer. Depending on how big you go it does affect steering and fender clearances. So be ready for that. I recommend researching the forums, tons of info on spacers. Thanks for watching.
I've also been running spacers for at least last 10 years , and I agree 100% as long you use hub centric spacers and always tourqe to spec you will never have an issue, 1 extra thing i alway do is after the first 100 miles or so I'll pull the wheels and check the tourqe again ,I don't think I've ever had one that needed to be tightened but it's cheap insurance makes me feel better lol,
It’s so nasty inside the housing due to the bearing failure. All the grease from the bearing is now in the housing, along with all the metal from the bearing.
What do you think is wrong when i turn left over the curb in my driveway and it pops? It also rumbles around curves like around a bout. Ty great video I'm sitting on 3 inch Ironman lift 2018 Tacoma 115k miles
I did a little where I could. You can’t put anti seize in the spindle section where the hub goes into. There is an ABS sensor there. That needs to stay clean. Thanks for watching.
Here in New England anti sieze is a must , we practically swim in that shit lol,but yes every bolt that comes off gets never seize, also use it on mating flanges where possible, it doesnt take long up here for rust to grab hold of stuff and not let go,
eBay has some good deals on the hubs NSK or Koyo Bearings. Also this site www.yotabearingsandhubs.com Don’t know what you drive, that should at least get you started.

Great video. is it recommended to replace both the left and the right hub assembly at the same time? Or can you just replace the one making noise?

That sound check brought me in. It’s like I was in the garage with you. Great video as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Should I or will I have to replace any seals?
You should, it really depends on miles and how bad they are. Thanks for watching.
How long did this job take you?
Plan on 2 hours each side. Skill and tools will make a huge difference in time. It can be a pain in the ass. Thanks for watching.
You going to change needle bearing on driver side third member
I don't have one. I have an ARB Locker in in the front.
Its the dance for me 🤣
Thanks brother.
Any thoughts on the SDHQ ABS sensor covers to protect the ABS sensors ?
I feel like they look nice.
@@ClassyTacos good answer lol
Why not use some antiseize on it so next time it comes off easier?

What causes these bearing to go out? Negative offset? Bigger wheels?
Those are factors, really just time and abuse. Thanks for watching.
Where did you order the Koyo hubs from?
Check Ebay, they have the best prices shipped most of the time.

Thanks ill buy a pair now. I bought some Dorman ones from auto zone and they where making that rumble noise by 2yr mark. How are your koyo’s doing?

@@ClassyTacosdid you recommend these over the bluepitbearings? The price of 420 per assembly was rather tough even with them being all oem.

Thanks broski.
So how is this Koyo hub?
They have been fine since the install. No issues.
What year?
I drive 2017.
I think you taking the easy way out and not replacing that rear seal is why it is failing prematurely.
