    Got a question, Tim...
I like your video, which is very informative. I gotta 2013 F150 Ecoboost 3.5 which shows a code P012D.
Does this procedure apply to this code as well?? I'm trying to fix this myself, BEFORE going to a dealership or other hungry mechanic.

Great video Tim. I’ve also seen this problem on the 3.5 Ecoboost. Definitely using OEM Motorcraft parts is the way to go. The Chinese knock-off sensors aren’t worth it from a reliability perspective. Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Especially with electronic parts.

My 2013 flex fuel Taurus the MAF harness connector has 4 wires and there is 6 pins in the sensor which someone replaced by looking at the non factory self tapping screws holding it in. I look up the part and there’s a 4 wire MAF do you know if the 4 wire is also an AIT sensor as well or is the AIT sensor separate? I’m unable to locate it if it Is a separate sensor? It’s only throwing AIT code and live data says it’s -41’ f and it’s 75‘F in my shop

Yes. Everyone knocks the Ecoboost, and from what I understand the data actually shows the Ecoboost is more reliable than the 5.0. That being said, I own an F 150 with 125,000 miles and it's been a money pit. Nothing to do with the Ecoboost, just everything else is always being repair.
