Everytime I go on this ride I always think about what it would be like to be in a tornado and realizing the demolition of your house. I sends shivers down my spine

When I was little my mom made me go on this despite my phobia of tornadoes. I'll never go on this shit again. It's a good ride, but not for me. This shit gives me panic attacks. Fuck tornadoes!

Saw this the year it opened, my son was about 8 or 9 and he absolutely loved, amazing effects! His favorite though, was the Jurassic Park River Adventure! He's 26 now and still watches Jurassic Park whenever it on ! LOL
I went on this ride when I was a little kid and me and my sister came out crying. After that, we would do nothing but watch the weather channel lol

I can't believe they took this ride down. It was my favorite as a kid along with Earthquake and Jaws. I suppose they had to make way for Harry Potter stuff and other up to date things, but since I haven't been to Universal since I was like 11 years old, i'll never get to ride them again.
To be honest, I didn't really like this ride that much but I loved the Jaws ride. I didn't realise that this one was shut down but I was disappointed when I heard Jaws was gone.

Twister and Jaws have gone!? Aw man I haven't been to America in seven years, I was looking forward to revisiting some childhood rides in the future. It sucked when they took away Back To The Future too, although the Spiderman ride is kick-ass and one of my faves... if that goes I may as well say goodbye to Universal lmao.

When I was like 7 I remember watching the movie Twister EVERY DAY. I was obsessed, but also so terrified of tornadoes or any kind of bad weather. So when my family took me here, they told me it was just to watch the movie in 3D. I was actually pretty excited. Mean trick to a kid, eh? I cried and screamed so hard during this I threw up. lmao. My parents felt so bad for joking me into this.
i don't care what any of these haters say..this is an amazing attaction..i've seen it several times in person..the floor even shakes...so go check it out before u hate...
It's amazing the intellectual engineering that happens in creating this. Amazing!
For those complaining that it isn't realistic - the point of this attraction is to be in an immersive atmosphere that shows you a THEATRICAL REPRESENTATION of what it would be like to be in a twister. The whole theme of Universal Studios is movie-making magic, not ultimate realism. I, for one, am very fond of the amount of technical execution that went into the making of this recreation - especially the fly system used for the cow, "Dorothy" and the Drive-in sign. I prefer this over the movie.
I'm Wishing This Ride Will Came Back
I can't believe this is still operating since it came out in 1998. Nice to see that it is.
Experiencing this with my mother was one of the most entertaining things ever. I also love the uplifting music that plays afterwards. It's like "You just lived through a tornado. YAY!"
That last part always gets me. When I was little the loud noises startled me. But now, I actually like this show. Of course it wouldn't be close to an ACTUAL tornado (That wouldn't be smart) and we get Tornadoes in Florida too.
When the roof started moving I was like: HOLY SHIT PLEASE DON'T BLOW AWAY. I was on front row. And yes I did laughed at the cow.
The first time I went on this was when I was 4. Just a little bit before I started to look into meteorology. That is why twister is one of my favorite movies and rides

I remember this one lol. I loved it. only part that freaked me out as a kid was the ceiling cracking and lifting. I saw the cow and just started laughing
I was there this past Sat-tues., and it's still there, and I must say, it's wayyyyy better than it looks in the video! I drove from SC to FL. about 7 hours, definitely worth it. Go for New Years!

I have to admit, I'd piss myself if I went on this. Even Movieworld's Batman ride scared me but then I was trying to both stay in the seat and cover my ears at the same time XD

i really enjoyed this attraction. some can say it's lame but i've never gone thru a real tornado and this is the closest i ever want to get.

I know right, I actually love the ride. But the opening bit made me laugh because some guy in the audience turned to look at his friend in full Bill Paxton mode, hand on hips, saying "I'm Bill Paxton!"
i love how the guy is hurrying them off the ride before the lights even come back on, not even half a second after the final fiery explosion; like dude, can you let us enjoy the experience and let it sink in at least for 3 seconds before ruining the whole illusion?

It's scary but i liked it :D I remember this little boy was there and he couldn't stop crying!! I felt so bad!!!!
I remember when I went on this for the first time and it made the hair on my arms stand up! It was awesome! Plus I used to watch this movie all the time when I was little so it was an experience!

You stand up the entire time and watch every thing happen right in front of you. Absolutely terrified me when I was younger! Especially when the floor dropped and the roof started flying away! Haven't been on it since, but going back this year to challenge it :P
I think I did this three or four times on my one visit to Universal Studios Orlando. Since I like making movies, this and Jaws would be great rides to film for a movie!
i like the old video when the dad is hanging on door and flys into the tornado and dies as his family watches him. I bursted out laughing.
This ride was probably one of the best 3-D rides in Universal, besides The Simpsons. :)

Omg this was the best ride if you seen the movie you would understand and this is awesome we went on it so many times it was scary at first but then it was fun

My dad told me that the changes in the air and wind are almost exactly like those in a real twister. I was too scared to go on, but it sounds pretty neat!

Once upon a time, in October 1999, a naive 7-year-old boy decided to try to conquer his fear of twisters by going on this attraction with his brother and their mom. At first, he had goosebumps and second thoughts, but he felt confident. Then, he was face-to-face with what seem to be a real twister and his fear exploded again. When he exited the ride, he was just relieved that he survived the ride. I should know, because that kid was me and I still regret it. I got a nice drinking cup, though. XD
I loved this attraction. I'm just a bit disappointed that it's not a ride.

Are you kidding, come on? Epcot is the place to be if you're in your twenties. A different beer in every world, a goofy ride here and there, and beautiful women from different countries in each land. It's easily in my top 3 parks of Orlando because it's just different.

The first time I saw this, I was standing in the back row with my friends. When the doors behind us started rattling, we screamed and ran up to the rail, then the fire came and screamed and stepped back, THEN the floor 'dropped' and we couldn't figure out where to run so we just screamed xDD
