Today was the last day to ride Twister at Universal Studios Florida. Beginning tomorrow, Nov 2nd, 2015 the attraction will be gutted and prepare for construction of Race Through New York starring Jimmy Fallon opening in 2017.

Happy I got to experience this ride before it was gone, I remember when Bill Paxton said 'hold on for your life' and everything went out, wow that gave me chills. This ride was unique and awesome

Bring back practical rides!
I wish Universal brought back more practical rides instead of all these 4-D cheap thrills. Since Wizarding World its almost as if they have run out of ideas. Twister, Jaws, Earthquake we're iconic films where they put you into the action with practical effects. I'm hoping once the new parks opens things will change.

Truly miss this ride. I honestly don't know why they took it down and brought back a shitty King Kong CGI ride.
Read the description above Kong didn't replace it, it was Fallon!
At least if Kong replaced it, it wouldn't be as bad. But, replacing it with a ride themed to "The Tonight Show", why?
Bill Paxton was my man in twister. He was my favorite actor in twister. And I love tornado because they cool to see in movies not in real life they are really scary
Are you serious they got rid of this?! I was able to be on this the few months before it closed...Universal needs to up their game, get rid of the crap rides and keep the good ones.
It needed to go sooner or later the ride was outdated. and now a lot of the kids won't even know what the rides are if they kept the old ones
my mom hates this movie because it's what started my love to tornadoes.
They could have just updated the ride instead of replacing it with bullshit jimmy Fallon. I’m happy to say jimmy Fallon doesn’t even get that many people so hopefully eventually they remove him
@@mquiroz90 there's that, and my dad lost a pretty great guy and friend to storm chasing. my parents thought he could talk me out of my love for tornadoes, and it didn't work.
@@mquiroz90 that's what excited me about them was the sheer power. After Tim died they just didn't hold that love for me anymore.

@@mquiroz90 Because of Florida successor, they needed for disaster simulations to show what it's like to be on a threat, they can't make the ride at the same time just by the amount of special effects they added in the attraction. While the film was released on US, it's part of mother nature in Oklahoma.
F-zero91maru while we didn't have Twister, we did have a similar attraction based off Backdraft. Sadly, like Twister, Backdraft was also shut down to make way for a simulator ride but based off Transformers instead of Jimmy Fallon.
All of us storm chasers miss Bill Paxton greatly.
