I refuse to do it anymore. Just came back from spring break. My daughter has gone twice Disney and universal. My duty is done. They get no more of my money or time.
I got stuck on this ride right before the drop. If you ever have gone on the ride, you know you were tilted down a lot. Ended up staying tilted for a few minutes before it started up again but with the lights on. We could see the drop too which made it worse. And what made it even even more worse is that we were seated in the back where we are tilted the most.
i was terrified when i rode this because i didn’t know what to expect then after the first drop i was on the edge worried about whether another big one was going to happen
Same! my friends made me go on and they “forgot” how the ride goes so the drop was unexpected for me and was in the back of the car where the drop feels worse, like you’re hanging off a cliff.
I went on the Transformers ride at Singapore a couple years ago, they use the screens like this. And holy crap, they took up all your vision, so when it rotated or made you feel like you were falling, it was amazing. And the ride itself was really smooth, which made it better for my dad, cause he has a bad back, so he felt great being able to go on a ride again, since he loves roller coasters but can't go on them anymore, but atleast with these ones he can a bit more.
I have never been able to go to the parks, watch these videos make me very happy, because even if it is not in person I can live a little bit of the experience. I hope one day to go. Too bad the lines are so long
First time I rode this, the 3D glasses fell off my face and landed next to my foot during the drop, so I spent Like 90% of the ride desperately fighting the restraints trying to get them back because I had convinced myself if I lost them I'd be banned from Universal....good times
In a sense the queue here seems more impressive than the actual ride. The ride is great, but from my perspective it seems like they over-rely on screens. I'm sure it looks and feels more immersive when you're actually there. I like how Rise of the Resistance limits screen usage to where it's necessary to convey scale or do effects on a well-themed environment. Overall this is a great attraction, though. Lots of fun effects and set pieces and highly immersive with an attention to detail.
Bill Weasley in the movies (my friend showed me a picture of him) was the reason I got into Harry Potter to begin with... very recently... I straight up cried watching this. I need to get the money and go IMMEDIATELY. To see Bill Weasley again 'In person' would be an actual dream come true.
Yeah I could not. When I went to universal for the first time I went during an off month like April and the longest I waited was at the castle which was like 30mins maybe. There were no lines
Honestly, I waited about 2 hours for Hagrid’s ride, but it was worth it to me. For this ride though, when I got on it it was near closing time at the park (probably like an hour before it closed), so I only waited about 25 minutes.
We had planned our summer trip in 2014 for early July without even realizing they we're opening up another Harry Potter ride at Universal. Thank god we at least got there the week after it opened, but omg it was still crowded as hell. We waited over an hour in line just to go on the Forbidden Journey, so there was no way in hell we were going to wait 3+ hours for the brand new Gringotts ride, lol. Glad we got to see the whole Hogwarts and Hogsmeade area! I was most excited to try pumpkin juice and butterbeer when we got there, hahaha. The food was awesome too! Everything was flippin' expensive of course. I only got a small keychain. I would've loved a wand to do those magic tricks around the park, but we had already spent so much money and had the rest of the park to go to, so I'm glad I at least got to go on the first ride since everyone was flocking to the NEW one. So yeah, thank you for posting this video!! Because I couldn't even go over to that section that day. It was so crowded, they sectioned off parts of the park and made you take a time voucher ticket thing to come back at a later time. Craziness!! Glad I can see the beautiful imagery through here. I know I'll probably never get to go there again. ☹️

I went on this ride today, and I am very sensitive to roller coasters and get very motion sick, but this ride was so much fun for me! I totally suggest it to anyone who is very senator I’ve to any kind of theme park attraction!
I get motion sick easily and I'm worried about this ride but I don't want to miss out on the Harry Potter experience. Was the drop and everything else really not that bad? I'm going in April.
Great ride went on it in August of 2019 on my trip to Orlando , really great experience, makes you feel like you are in the gringotts scenes during deathly hallows part 2 which is what the ride story is set during the events of that film , Great pre show also definitely have to ride next time I’m in Orlando
Haha, I remember my first and only time on this ride! I wear glasses to see, so I had to wear the 3D glasses OVER my own glasses. I was in the very verrrry back seat with my friend. I think this happened right before a drop or something: My friend put his arms up, but accidentally knocked my 3D glasses off. We heard them fall. And... as the roller coaster moved, we heard a very distinct "crunch" below. We looked at each other, shocked, basically having an "Oh shit" moment. We both probably thought "Oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh... What if the ride breaks because of that?" Everything went fine, so looking back on that small moment was hilarious! (And of course I told the staff about the glasses. They said it was okay.)
i went on this coaster for my birthday once. i’m terrified of coasters but did it anyway. overall i regretted it at the time, but now i don’t think it was that bad :)
I remember not wanting to get on this ride because people were saying it had drops and it was dark but for some reason, everyone was acting unsure of if the ride had drops or not because they wanted me to get on so bad. I remember asking a person who worked there (who had control over the ride) and he promised me it was just like a movie no drops at all and all my fear left my body but as soon as I felt the ride tilting about to drop I literally passed out but I loved the ride I was kinda happy I everyone lied to me LMAO.
I know I’m a true fan. I’ve read every book J.K. Rowling has made, and when I was here, I was screaming at every ride except this one. When it started to get bad on the other ones I was screaming but on this one I was like “welp here we go”
Omg same here! I went last year for a gymnastics competition and after I went here didn’t even know the ride was in there I didn’t even think about it and now I’m like! Bruhhhhh
I had such a great time on that ride. Grown man waving at the Characters at the end of the ride. My wife just laughed, says you know they can’t see you.
for years and years of going to Universal, my family and i didn’t know this whole alley existed behind the brick wall, it was until 2 months ago where my uncle who LOVES Harry Potter, wondered behind the wall, and there it was, a huge ass dragon and a whole alley, and to top it off, a fun ride
whenever you feel yourself tilt forward at the beginning of the ride me and my dad yelled “LETS DROP THIS BITCH” and all the little kids and their parents were like “excuse me-“ it was amazing

This ride was so fun every ride at universal is super fun I highly recommend this ride
Ride starts at 5:24
Ty
Thanks Christ
And the drop?
This looks awesome!! One thing I hate about all amusement parks though, you wait in line an hour or two or longer for a ride that last 4 minutes.
Longer rides longer wait times
Not if you pay more.
I refuse to do it anymore. Just came back from spring break. My daughter has gone twice Disney and universal. My duty is done. They get no more of my money or time.
one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES! executed so well.
damn smooth camera work :O geez its almost like the camera is on a dolly
You forgot the part where the coaster breaks down and you wait in the cart for 10 minutes
DevilCat oh this is the alternate version where that doesn’t happen
I DIDNT EXPECT TO SEE YOU HERE HI

This ride caught me off guard compared to the rest of the Universal rides. My famiily arent big rollar coast fans like me, so this was a treat lol.
I actually think that happened to me too once
i was terrified when i rode this because i didn’t know what to expect then after the first drop i was on the edge worried about whether another big one was going to happen
Same I hate drops, it isn't as bad if you are in the front car.
Same! my friends made me go on and they “forgot” how the ride goes so the drop was unexpected for me and was in the back of the car where the drop feels worse, like you’re hanging off a cliff.
@@aleililolu 1
@@aleililolu one and I terrified of drops but SOOOOO WORTH the 3 seconds of fear
Since we can't go anywhere, this kind of videos reallu cheered me up, thank you!
Ugh why doesn’t hollywood ever get stuff as cool as Orlando 😭😭
I mean Disneyland fin open Avengers Campus
Limited space I'm guessing
Land in LA is expensive and finite, unlike orlando.
Orlando has a lot of land and tourism so that’s why universal and Disney gave them higher budgets.
I went on the Transformers ride at Singapore a couple years ago, they use the screens like this. And holy crap, they took up all your vision, so when it rotated or made you feel like you were falling, it was amazing. And the ride itself was really smooth, which made it better for my dad, cause he has a bad back, so he felt great being able to go on a ride again, since he loves roller coasters but can't go on them anymore, but atleast with these ones he can a bit more.
every single time i ride this (which has been like 4-5 times) i get the adrenaline shakes after that drop.. man i love this ride
Is it better then Wizarding World of Harry Potter Castle?
@@vrum255 a lot of people say no but shhh I think yes
I was not ready for the drop! The glasses almost fell straight off my face.
Anyone else feel antsy watching this with people so close and without masks, crazy how 2020 has messed with our minds. (Yes I know this is pre-Covid).
I dont feel antsy when people dont wear masks around each other regardless
You have to wear masks now. I've not been on this one but I've been on Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey, which was great!
Sadly I fear that we will never go back to the way things were before back when I was happy 😔
Nope, looking forward to getting back to this soon.
it doesn’t ruin anything people need to stop complaining it made things better and cleaner
My goodness those props look amazing!! Just like the real scene
Yes it does rely on the screens a lot, but it's mostly a rollercoaster experience.
I was there in february and enjoyed like a kid, its really awesome, great experience ever
The first time I road this and it was THE big drop, my heart started racing
The drop isn't that big
@@SnagReport I was 11, and didn't like roller coasters. There is also 3D effects to make it seem worse. For me then it was a big drop.
Bill Weasley in the movies (my friend showed me a picture of him) was the reason I got into Harry Potter to begin with... very recently... I straight up cried watching this. I need to get the money and go IMMEDIATELY. To see Bill Weasley again 'In person' would be an actual dream come true.
I love this ride of course but I can’t believe how long some people will wait for it like some people have the patience for a 5 hour wait
I waited over an hour to ride Smuggler's Run at Disneyland, and didn't enjoy it...I can not imagine waiting five hours for a ride.
Thank God they make these videos 😁
Love This Ride!!!!
Loved all of the things that you did and I hope you are making a new one
Good morning everyone else in this world park and I have been trying hard for someone who has been so good at helping out with you guys 👦 ❤️ Take care of yourself too much that goes to everyone who is good to your friends 🧡 is great full
This ride is awesome, so immersive and thrilling
Just rode it for the first time last week, it was phenomenal!!!!
I might be going here for my birthday, and this is what I wanna do first!
Awesome have a great birthday!
This is my favorite ride at the park. I went here this weekend for my 25th birthday and I had a lot of fun! I went on the gringots ride at least 20 times while I was here!
does it go upside down?
@@arianagarcia5789 no.
I'm probably just being sociopathic, but I find it so funny when people clap at the end of rides. Like who are you clapping for?
You clap to show your enjoyment to the ones in line, that you appreciated the ride and the creators. Must be hard to understand for someone who‘s into ASMR. fcking simp
@@j.w.213 I hope you hear clapping at the next ride you go to and fucking hate the ride.
@@indieeasmr7101 imagine having to like your own comment cause no one else will
The people working there, the people that built the ride, made the effects, acted, did the filming....!
Sure only the people working there at the time will hear and see you but....!
They’re clapping because they had fun and are impressed with the experience they had
This one was my personal favorite, I woke up early to ride it and did it about 5 times! Since theres not too many people with early entrance, so cool!
It’s like you are our personal tour guide.
That's what we are here for!
I'm bobbing my head back and forth whenever the Voldemort/ Bellatrix theme plays. That's a great theme lol.
I went on this ride today, and I am very sensitive to roller coasters and get very motion sick, but this ride was so much fun for me! I totally suggest it to anyone who is very senator I’ve to any kind of theme park attraction!
Love this take Emma!! Awesome glad you enjoyed
I’m currently in line for another Harry Potter ride! I’ll let you know how this one goes too!
I just finished! It was awesome!
I get motion sick easily and I'm worried about this ride but I don't want to miss out on the Harry Potter experience. Was the drop and everything else really not that bad? I'm going in April.
@@8Makes1 you don’t feel it in the first and middle cart really, however you feel it in the back cart it’s the type of drop you can get used to!
Idk why, but I love the silhouette windows of Harry and the others stopping for a chat at 2:34
The back seat on this ride is the best lol
So good!! Haha
Great ride went on it in August of 2019 on my trip to Orlando , really great experience, makes you feel like you are in the gringotts scenes during deathly hallows part 2 which is what the ride story is set during the events of that film , Great pre show also definitely have to ride next time I’m in Orlando
I see that queue and immediately regret that I went the single rider lane :(
Do you get thrown about in single rider lane? I've been on the ride once but it was a full cart, so....
What if the ride breaks because of that?"
Everything went fine, so looking back on that small moment was hilarious! (And of course I told the staff about the glasses. They said it was okay.)
i went on this coaster for my birthday once. i’m terrified of coasters but did it anyway. overall i regretted it at the time, but now i don’t think it was that bad :)
Thanks for filming this. I was supposed to go there in April but then the park shut down for the deep cleaning. Still haven't gone.
Thanks for the vid i love the queue on the harry potter rides it makes the lines actually fun
THE DROP.
Legend says that the guy is still clappin til this day
I am going to Universal in 2 months and I can’t wait to ride this!
going tomorrow
Stitchly Have fun!!! 🙂🙂🙂
Wait ✋ there drops in this ride ?
It was wrong of the Ride Operator to lie like that. This could traumatize someone else who might be very sensitive to drops.
this is my favourite ride at universal. i loved it so much. so much going on and so detailed. best ride ever
I know I’m a true fan. I’ve read every book J.K. Rowling has made, and when I was here, I was screaming at every ride except this one. When it started to get bad on the other ones I was screaming but on this one I was like “welp here we go”
I'm glad to see that this video was recorded with these people prior to COVID.
It’s sad I never knew this ride was here
Omg same here! I went last year for a gymnastics competition and after I went here didn’t even know the ride was in there I didn’t even think about it and now I’m like! Bruhhhhh
@@coralbush1793 it’s pretty hidden lol
I had such a great time on that ride. Grown man waving at the Characters at the end of the ride. My wife just laughed, says you know they can’t see you.
for years and years of going to Universal, my family and i didn’t know this whole alley existed behind the brick wall, it was until 2 months ago where my uncle who LOVES Harry Potter, wondered behind the wall, and there it was, a huge ass dragon and a whole alley, and to top it off, a fun ride
If I hadn't done a little research homework before we went, we would have walked right past it as well.
I went on this ride when I was 6 because I hv watched the movies more than 40 times in total and I cried tears of fear
whenever you feel yourself tilt forward at the beginning of the ride me and my dad yelled “LETS DROP THIS BITCH” and all the little kids and their parents were like “excuse me-“ it was amazing
Such a great ride bruuuh, the nostalgia
