I haven't been there for a couple decades and I can still smell the pungent sickly sweet gas smell that permeated the whole Kong ride back in the day, lol
This is one of my favorites. I know it gets hate because it's a screen based ride, but this is how you do a good screen based ride. The queue line and theming throughout is top notch. So many things happening on screen at once you can't see it all. Very rerideable. The final Kong animatronic is spectacular too. I really hope epic universe expands upon the Godzilla and Kong IP even more.
@@ezioassassain The original Kongfrontation ride was a masterpiece. They should’ve never got rid of it, even with Revenge of Mummy being a solid replacement.
I rode this back in 2021 for the first time. Amazing experience! I will say it smelt very bad in the ride, lol! But I assume that was intentional given it’s a “jungle”. The animatronic is worth every penny. Insane how immersive it is.
This ride needs to be moved to the area that’s far right of the park behind Poseidons fury and the old Sinbad show, so there can be more Jurassic Park themed rides.
Thank you very much for your comment and how happy I am that you liked the video, visiting it in person is really very different, thank you for watching
I was soooo disappointed with this ride. It looks so amazing from the outside, but the ride itself was a major let down. This is a ride i could legit take a nap on. Lol.
Never thought this would be that great of a ride when I first heard of it. I've been on the Hollywood tram tour version dozens of times and assumed this was a lazy way to include a new ride in Orlando. I've never been so wrong about a ride before. Everything from the queue theming, to the effects and the truck/bus system with individual drivers, was so well done.
The ride really does accomplish a lot for the small footprint of the attraction. I believe the actual ride track area is smaller than the que or very similar in size which is an accomplishment for an epic island safari truck ride. Is there room for improvement? Yes but they clearly but a lot of creativity, love and money into making this ride. I have been on it about 30 times. My main criticism about the ride is actually that it is too rough in the simulator mode. But to be honest I have to wonder if it were not I might be here mentioning how boring it was? The overall way I look at it is this is a massive first step in this type of ride. The next generation and the one after that is really going to be amazing. As screens get ever more life like and as they perfect the movement of the simulator platforms it will eventually open up the door for truly convincing virtual rides. Right now the fact it mixes an actual, real world truck moving on a track with actual sets before you load into the simulator it helps you buy into the illusion. Compared to just getting into a simulator ride like Star Tours.
I remember when this ride first came out, I waiting in line for almost 2hrs until the PA told everyone that the ride was shut down but the employees give you a free pass to immediately move you into the front for waiting so long, if the ride come back operational. Then before I left the the park, I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and lucky enough the ride was fully operational again and I got the opportunity to experience it.
I'm sorry to hear you didn't take this walk. Believe me you're going to love it you went 4 times to the mummy walk OMG I admire you I really couldn't say hello and thanks for watching

I rode it too and the ride is so well made but you always need to brace yourself almost the entire ride because it’ll rock you all over the place. I didn’t and I learned my lesson because after the ride my head stomach and waist was all hurting😅
If it has movements, it depends on the scenes, it must be prepared for the action, but if I tell you that there are really strong rides, this one is not so much. Best regards and thanks for commenting.
I love King Kong! I've wanted to go to universal studios for a while but we have just never got there. I actually have several king Kong tattoos and I'm going again today to get some more added so for king Kong and for the fact you held your camera very steady while in the middle of that dinosaur attack I'm gonna give you a like!
I understand the point of view somehow you are right because it is not the same to be on the walk than to see yourself in a video at the end you can see Kong thanks for commenting greetings
Awesome‼ One of my favorite rides at Universal Orlando!! I remember going on this, it’s a little similar to the King Kong ride at Universal Studios Hollywood!! I’m definitely looking forward to ride this again and record the whole thing too in the future since I haven’t been to Florida since 4 years ago in mid July & I live in California!! I filmed the King Kong ride at LA during the Studio Tour before and I can definitely & 100% do it for FL's version of King Kong too!! What iPhone camera did you use anyway?
I dig the idea, but this version of Kong is suppose to be like 1,000 feet tall, but I miss the KONGfrontation experience, I feel like by now, giant animatronics and big real life thrill rides should be the idea and the concept
When I go on this ride I hum the first notes of the Donkey Kong theme, when Donkey is carrying the lady up the building. It always makes me laugh somehow.
Thank you. totally according to you is very different to be inside the Ride, 4D you feel wind, water spray, other effects that are not captured in camera I cordially invite you to watch my other videos.
We have the same attraction in Moviepark Germany. (Formerly Warner Brothers Movieworld). But a different theme world. We call the ride "The lost temple". It's a dinosaur expedition. Greetings from Germany.
If the vehicle moves you also feel bursts of seeing some moments water also the immersion while going on the trip is totally different from what you can see in video cordial greetings
This was well done as a ride. Its much better quality than the video suggests and far more pleasing than yet another blurred Jerky mess of the many 3d experience rides there.
great that you like my video I appreciate this comment. visit if you have the opportunity you will have an incredible time. best month September and January. greetings shofia
Yea Just Glad they have the Actual Giant animatronic There at the end! a real cherry on top!
yes the best animatronic Best regards
the queue is terrifying asf, it really set up the tone that you will be expecting for the ride, diving into the unknown horror
I know it's not the same "Kong" but I'm glad they kept this one alive for newer generations. Loved the original ride as a kid!
The 2005 is better
I haven't been there for a couple decades and I can still smell the pungent sickly sweet gas smell that permeated the whole Kong ride back in the day, lol

Godzilla would be tough to get the rights to since it’s Toho’s property.

Nah I had to wait like 2 hours for this 8 ish minute ride
The Queue of this ride is one of the best in the park. Nice and cool to get out of the sun. Never a wait and a enjoyable 3-D glasses ride.
This is one hell of a ride, so realistic it gets your blood moving quite quickly.
I always enjoy doing this thanks for commenting. how good to know that you have also enjoyed it

The big screens just don't cut the original edge that the animatronics and real set design had in the older rides. Texture matters.
I was soooo disappointed with this ride. It looks so amazing from the outside, but the ride itself was a major let down. This is a ride i could legit take a nap on. Lol.
Soooooo coooooooooool 🤯🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Kate is literally the most badass King Kong character ever. We need her in the Monsterverse pronto
