Fast? Not at all. Unless you upgrade their speed but thats kind of a waste imo. Or have boosted imprinting and breed one. I have maxed imprinting so 100% imprinted rexes get 220% speed. Walk about as fast if not faster than normal rexes run

I would put in the argentavis, because they have a smithy saddle, they’re not the fastest flyer but can still fly decently well, the stamina on them is magnificent, and that’s the same with the weight. In total they are one of the best

The managarmr is pretty fun. You can jump glide jump glide jump glide strafe x6 then dash. You can also glide in between strafes so you can go quite far. Just make sure you have a ton of stamina. They're a pain to get due to their suicidal nature
Honorable mention to the procoptodon. It's the best dino you can obtain on the Island if you wanna travelthe fastest way, harvest berries and carry a lot of weight, also pretty invincible since you can knock back every dinosaur in your way
I'm surprised I never see the dinopithecus on these. They're kits are simple, but they have an impressive jump and can climb walls. They make getting across the map just a casual errand run, and nothing wild can keep up with you
I'm surprised snow owls weren't on the list, they aren't too fast tbh (better then an argy I think) but they can glide, they have the healing + freezing ability, the heat vision, their pellets are great as fert and even better if you've got gachas
Maewings are actually really good if you have the time to breed them to max all stats, they're fast, strong, and have lots of stamina when you max their stats. A good way to keep air is to constantly hold shift and let go for a second while gliding, it makes them faster AND makes them keep air longer

The three crystal wyverns, blood, tropical, and ember are smaller and weaker wyverns that don't require an egg to get. You can passive tame them with crystals. While being weaker they do introduce new breath attacks and i think are faster than their bigger cousins
Grats on getting featured in the community corner CJ! I personally think the Maewing is better than Astrodelphis. With some practice, they maewing can fly faster than any other creature and can actually do decent damage and knockback on land with secondary attack!
I think the list is ok and I agree the Astrodelphis is probably the best over all and I think Maewings are up there too but the fact the Bloodstalker did not even make the top 10 shows me it wasn't very well thought through and some dinos should be here but aren't even mentioned.. like the Thyla as well. Also, an Astrodelphis might be considered the fastest in most scenarios but I assure you a Maewing in a complete dive is so fast it will leave an Astro behind in render.
So this has probably already been said but, Maewing advice: Jump, use the momentum to glide along the ground while holding space, and while you're doing that slide animation: Aim up. From what I've seen, aiming influences the height so if you aim straight up, you can get alot of height.
honorable mention to the ravager for being able to ride zipline making it a good cave mount as well as being essential on aberation if you don't have a drake.
yup, unless you're playing one of the maps that came after aberration (which was the 1st official "vertical" map) as that map influenced builders to make maps less easy for horizontal travels
My absolute favorite is the Rock Drake. It can jump high and glide really well, it can swim really well, climb any surface and turn invisible even after you dismount it.
I was flying on my wyvern on solo with a mod for NPC humans that build villages. There was a human village in the Ragnarok swamps which was surrounded by predators. So I dive-bombed the predators until the village was safe...then I accidentally ate one and had to run because the others started chucking spears and arrows.
Boy do I love when people sayb " this is an easy tame"," you just need to kill one and tame another". Uh, the process to tame is not so easy or simple, those suckers are tough, fast and IN THE OCEAN, ON THE BOTTOM MOSTLY. Ya thats an easy tame for sure lol. With the net projectile, yes for sure, without the ability to hold it on spot, no it is not easy. Of all dinos to tame the easiest is the horse, you either give it food passive or ride them to tame them, no saddle needed if I remember right and is a mortar and pestle as well. Your mounts advertised were more cool to have than useful for travel, they did travel well, but due to the process to find, survive, capture and tame not so great. Especially the managarmer that sucker literally jets away from you when taming.
Maewing is the best , you jsut dont know hjow to use it, you can jump , then press shift, go to the floor and then jump again , you will go to high heigt
This is a great vid, ty! (Btw I think you said "as well as that" about 60 times haha). I personally love Sarco for the water. They can move and be parked on land, and are tanky in the water and extremely fast--no platform saddle, though. And for new players, never overlook the Iguanodon. It's remarkably fast, has a good jump (when bipedal--switch between with rmb on pc) and doesn't use stamina while sprinting. You can just zip all over the map with it.
About the Griffin: The ones i tamed have really low health and leveling it up only gives a little (compared to all other dinos), so i leveled stamina and weight first, but one has to be really careful. Being too close to the ground and raptors surprise attack (especcially in the dark) can kill it :/ but yours has over 5k, so with that there is no need to worry.Mine only has around 100.
i wish managarmr would get a glide similar to maewing instead of what it has now, keep it at 3 jumps and 1 dash but let it glide after so its not absolute garbage.
Ikr! It looks like a cooler rockdrake but it's nowhere near as cool as the rockdrake and the fact that it can only boost and jump is dissapointing. But I guess it's swimming speed makes up for it partially but still dissapointing nonetheless
Shadowmanes are better in both land and water.they are also smaller ,easier the control, can use weapons from their pack, they are stronger much easier to control. Spinos is not a god is an animal lol and he is not the best travelling water creature
While mana used to be way better before their nerfed their jump, they are still my favorite, a great mix of fast but still able to kill most things you run into. I think they are a jack-of-all-trades for a "fast" mount. They are TERRIBLE on a laggy server though, like on an ext map where lag hits and suddenly you are DEEP through the kill field. :( Tip to regen stamina fast: Dismount. Dismounting for about 3 seconds will rapidly replenish the stam bar, rather than leaving you slowly waiting while mounted up. This works on all dinos, not just mana, but it makes the mana's nerfed movement not as terrible.
This is traveling not overall usefullness. Overall flier list would definately have trope and crystal wyverns be over a griffin because they ain't squishy in combat and can carry more. While griffin is only good for getting from point a to b quick(but doesnt have so good hp and terrible damage, slams do a lot but thats very low dps), and for taming stuff because you can shoot on top of them
There should be a saddle for the roller at that can't break but is extremely hard to get I I also think that the rhyniognatha carrying a diplo with a lot of players is best since the players on the diplo can shoot a very good ranged weapon so anilation of anything is imminent
I like this review, but also, you were in creative the whole time, so I don't know if any of those crazy insane jumps would hurt the creature. I mean, I watched it muted bc i was multitasking, you may have talked about it
Didn't expect the list to not have snow owls and blood stalkers , but tbh every flyer in ark is better at something else and you most of the tame would tame and need more than 1 type
If it were me, my top 5 is: 5. Mana 4. Mosa or Plesi 3. Rock drake 2. Tropical wyv 1. Shadowmane If you put a few points in movement speed, health, and melee on a shadow.... there's nothing better.
I would love to see some love for the Basilus :( I tamed a Lv100 - Lv120 Basi on Island and had it leveled in health and melee and a bit in weight and I did BOTH underwater caves with it, can hunt anything I want under water and don't have to watch out for Jellys or Eels. 10/10

It's remarkably fast, has a good jump (when bipedal--switch between with rmb on pc) and doesn't use stamina while sprinting. You can just zip all over the map with it.
Any level sarco will do until you get a good level meg or plesio
Another fun one for the wyvern category is the tropical crystal wyvern if you fly it near water I believe it's a 15% faster for 30secs
He didn’t realize that if you hold the jump button with the maewing you go 3 times as high
Like the videos like this but maybe mention Fjordur too and make some special info videos about the map. Stuff about it aren't really easy to find
the astrodelphis when under water does not give you O2 you need to bring your own tank. i was anoyed to find that out when i took mine under water
"Interesting" I say as I'm riding a turtle on lost island
i wish managarmr would get a glide similar to maewing instead of what it has now, keep it at 3 jumps and 1 dash but let it glide after so its not absolute garbage.
Ikr!
It looks like a cooler rockdrake but it's nowhere near as cool as the rockdrake and the fact that it can only boost and jump is dissapointing. But I guess it's swimming speed makes up for it partially but still dissapointing nonetheless
It can glide after each jump and each strafe. It can jump 3x, boost x1, strafe x6, and glide between all except the boost
You can also fire weapons off the back of the Griffin do that is another positive
You can do that on every mount
@@HunterNicholsKingOfOmnitron I don't think there are any other flying mounts that you can fire off while mounted
@@sethwilson919 the flying/water boat
@@sethwilson919 tapejera
You can only fire off the back of a tapy if you are a passenger
Spinos can become traveling gods via water cause you can actually upgrade the Oxygen.
Shadowmanes are better in both land and water.they are also smaller ,easier the control, can use weapons from their pack, they are stronger much easier to control.
Spinos is not a god is an animal lol and he is not the best travelling water creature
For the island i would recommend the argentavis bc it has lots of stamina and a bit of weight adwell as a grab ability
Cjthecheesedj: "and now for #7 we have the wyvern"
me: i thought you said these would go across all maps
While mana used to be way better before their nerfed their jump, they are still my favorite, a great mix of fast but still able to kill most things you run into. I think they are a jack-of-all-trades for a "fast" mount. They are TERRIBLE on a laggy server though, like on an ext map where lag hits and suddenly you are DEEP through the kill field. :(
Tip to regen stamina fast: Dismount. Dismounting for about 3 seconds will rapidly replenish the stam bar, rather than leaving you slowly waiting while mounted up. This works on all dinos, not just mana, but it makes the mana's nerfed movement not as terrible.
do i need a mod or something else to find the animals on the vid?? bc i cant find them
CJ IS BACK WITH THE TOP 10 VIDEOS
I would replace the Griffin with the Snow Owl. Its healing can not be denied its usefulness.
This is traveling not overall usefullness. Overall flier list would definately have trope and crystal wyverns be over a griffin because they ain't squishy in combat and can carry more. While griffin is only good for getting from point a to b quick(but doesnt have so good hp and terrible damage, slams do a lot but thats very low dps), and for taming stuff because you can shoot on top of them
Maewing is my go too traveler I love the glide the slide the jump the versitility, being able to go under water and fly is Soo cool
I just discovered Shadowmanes and I absolutely love them!
I watched u like, 2 yrs sgo... the nostalgia
There should be a saddle for the roller at that can't break but is extremely hard to get I I also think that the rhyniognatha carrying a diplo with a lot of players is best since the players on the diplo can shoot a very good ranged weapon so anilation of anything is imminent
I’m sooo surprised the Deino and the Thyla aren’t even on the list
Thyla would be if the shadowmane wasn’t available.
@@TheJiroScope Thyla is now obsolete
@@badunk3379 I know hence why it’s not on this list.
@@TheJiroScope Bro why you sound mad lmfao
@@badunk3379 lol 😂 not at all. Sorry if I didn’t put a lol after my bad. It’s was a sentence why would you think I was mad? 😂
Amazing list, well done
If it were me, my top 5 is:
5. Mana
4. Mosa or Plesi
3. Rock drake
2. Tropical wyv
1. Shadowmane
If you put a few points in movement speed, health, and melee on a shadow.... there's nothing better.
Love your videos!
Maewings have quickly become my favourite tame for getting around
But how do u summon it with admin commands
there is no other tame as fast as them. they outrun anything it's laughable. simply the best travel mount, you can even take them into caves
This is a great video. I used this tips for my ark content.
16:25 rock drakes can swim in lava?
Its kinda weird that most dino that have fire resistance have feathers lol.
I absolutely love my rock drake thay are a really good tame easy to get around with love them always try and get as early as I can 10/10 recommend
u forgot one ...my main one but its ok its ur chosen ranking
It you use their body slam maewings can actually do quite a bit of damage.
Maewings have a super jump if you slid jump
Bro did u use cheat code to spawn those dino on ragnarok to make video ?cos there alot of those sino i dint see in ragnarok
Ark has so many awesome creatures. It's so sad that there isn't a single map that contains all of them...
I would love to see some love for the Basilus :(
I tamed a Lv100 - Lv120 Basi on Island and had it leveled in health and melee and a bit in weight and I did BOTH underwater caves with it, can hunt anything I want under water and don't have to watch out for Jellys or Eels. 10/10
missing 1 of the most underrated traveling dinos on here.
the Iguanodon. It has a running stance that doesn't cost ANY stamina.
The dumb mountain pushed me while I was on my bear and did unnecessary fall dmg and killed it
Really outrageous that u mention roll rat but not blood stalker, thylo or ferox I don't think no one has ever use roll rat as a travel mount lol they are pretty much the beaver of abb
How do u use the barrel roll to and the backflip stuff on the Astro Delphus on kbm
The maewing is so much fun to use
Honestly my favort hast to be the sarco
Because its both gold for attack and defense and it is super fast in the water
Good not gold dum auto correct
I honestly forgot about the plesiosaur I don’t really get to see them anymore it’s mostly sharks and leeds and mantas
I think I would use reaper queen and magamr to travel even though they are hard to tame, maybe even mosasaur which is same as plesiasaur
And fyi the wyvern with the highest speed potential is actually the tropical crystal wyvern cause you get a speed boost if you touch water
The shadow mane can swim fast probably because when you use commands to spawn them the name is literally lion fish
