I started yoga 4 years ago, but my favourite real-time flow yoga teacher left the country. No other teachers inspired me, I've other tried many yoga schools around. But since I bought my own yoga mat a year ago and discovered the wonderful Adriene, my life seriously has changed! I am more flexible and know that I can just Google Adriene and with her help make myself feel better no matter what's going on in my life. Whenever I say 'Namaste' by the end of each practice, I really feel thankful to you. Also, yes, blessed that your teachings, your words, your knowledge, your kind heart can relieve my pain, if I have such at a moment, or simply make me feel better, to the level I sometimes have tears in my eyes. Especially when my grandma died, I repeated many times yoga for grief and it helped me to connect back with myself and remind me that I still have myself, that I own myself. Namaste.
I have been away from the mat for a few months now but thankfully, I have started my Yoga practice again since last Sunday 17 Nov.
I am taking full responsibility for my healing. I knew for years that our body "talks" to us but that we don't know how to listen but I didn't learn!
And now I have started learning by observing, by scanning, by listening, by feeling all that is happening in my body.
And I thank you dearest Adriene to be such an instrumental part of my healing. God bless you always.

Omg I almost did it you guys. I started in January and am obese and struggle a lot, a lot of modifications. I almost managed this one without dropping the knee during those 3 legged dogs. Soooo close. I can feel myself getting stronger!

Adriene is like the most forgiving friend. No matter how many times I lose sight of her she always smiles and welcomes me back when I return.
I've been having a horrible body image day, and my heart just wasn't in this practice at first. I was beginning to get frustrated because I felt like I wasn't as good at this as I should be. But when you said "feel the warmth that you've created in your sweet, beautiful body" it just hit me. I had to pause the video because I was tearing up so much; it's exactly what I needed to hear today. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos and your beautiful, loving attitude!

I have found that daily yoga has helped me appreciate my body and I have less negative thoughts about it some days are harder than others

you make mentally and physically
Hopefully if you try it out you'll notice some difference too
I like to go back and read what wrote about how I did on difficult poses and how I felt after practice
It helps me see that I'm actually improving no matter what the scale says

I struggled to stick with this. Ended up in extended child pose in the middle of it, feeling overwhelmed. But I got back up again and held tree pose well. It’s not about perfection, it’s about trying 💪🏼

Lucy, I hear you. After several months I can get this done pretty easily. Well, I’m still struggling with the tree pose but other than that, I return to this practice often. It keeps me moving. I’ll be 70 this year and I want to stay mobile.

I'm amazed how my body, my mind and my breath are responding after 43 days in a row of yoga. I'm starting with meditation too, and I have to say that I'm much more at ease... It felt really good to get practice in before work. I am ready for the day. We are experiencing a great surge of omicron cases (towards 140000 a day) here in Korea, mostly up north near and around Seoul. My friend is in the hospital there with it. Down here, a number of my students have been out as well as a couple teachers. I heard a lot of coughing Monday before our holiday yesterday so I hope not to find even emptier classrooms. I may return and do the FWFG sequence after work. Stay healthy everyone.

@@loublou5886 His girlfriend has a medical condition that keeps him from quarantining at home. He had two days of what felt like flu and some chest pains. Yesterday, he said it was mild after those two days.
I always think I’m not into these flows because they start to move faster than just long stretches and I have to really pay attention to your cues.
But that’s why doing these are so important; it gets me out of my head and into the moment.

I've always felt the same about flows. I always go for stretches and I assume that flows means it's just harder and for all over flexibility which is just as important. I'm trying to accept that lately

Yeah, that's what I'm having a problem with. I can't look at what she's doing and do it at this pace.
Today I thought if I can manage yesterday’s full class I can do this 19 minute workout ! So I did my usual senior adaptions, using knees to transition through challenging bits and breathed with you Adriene, slowly and surely. I did this as much for my mental health as my bodily. Feeling restrained through lockdown here in England, isolating so long has taken it’s toll 😐 your connection with me through our daily practice is invaluable Adriene 🙏😊🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️💕
Walking with my dog in the forest today there was a creaky old tree talking to me and this inner Adriene voice answering "Heyho, what's up creaky old tree". I love this new voice in my head, it makes me smile so often during the day. Thank you, Adriene.

BRIDGE day 13! I tried to do this practice almost 3 months ago and was unable to keep up. Now, after almost 3 months of daily yoga, I was able to complete the entire practice without having to skip out on any of the hard parts!! I was able to actually enjoy the flow, while still finding it challenging. Thanks to Adriene and all my fellow yogis out there. Have an awesome day! 🧘♀️❤️

Sept 2021 Reset Day 22
This practice packs a punch. It really brings the focus to the core connection while doing the downward dog variations and the Vrikshaasana or tree pose. As Adriene mentions in the intro, it works the whole body quickly and gets the juices flowing. Enjoyed the sweaty practice and now I am ready to face the day.
Blessed Beloved Embody Yogis ( Day 2 of March Journey)! Initially, I was resistant of a standing practice because of how I'm feeling today. I was desirious of floor work wanting to just curl in a fetal position. Today is my Uncles life celebration and services are late in the evening (as if it isn't sad enough for all). We won't have any sunshine at that hour. Anyway, my Mom is hurting. They were very close. He was there when my Dad elevated 8 years ago and my big brother 3 years ago. She has endured alot of pain. There's only 2 brothers still on earth after burying 6. That's tough. I miss my Dad, Barry and Big Brother Marcus, and many others. I'm sharing all of this to say this practice was exactly what I needed during a tough time. I need to be strong 💪🏾 for my Mom. This practice has provided self-assurance and an overall calmness to my deamnor. Thank God for Yoga. Namaste & Ase! 🦋❤🦋

I've been practicing on and off for over 6 years, and today I finally was able to stay in tree pose comfortably on my left side (my right's always been fine, but my left's never been the same since an ankle injury in college). I've been frustrated with my lack of progress in balancing poses, so it was unbelievably satisfying to finally see a change. I couldn't help but yell out in surprise and celebration (scared the cats haha). Proof that sometimes change is slow, but that it does eventually happen with enough patience.
Haha my crow almost landed on my cats yesterday 😅
Congratulations, I'm so happy for you 💙 my tree looked better today too and I surprised myself, I twisted my left ankle back in 2019 and it still acts up here and there so it was nice to not topple over ☺️

i've been practising yoga on and off for 6 years, thanks to my mum who has been practising almost every day for 10 years, but since lockdown my day always starts with Adriene - i did this years 30 days of yoga, followed by starting May's calendar and I can't believe how much my relationship with myself has changed and improved because of it. Not only am i noticing physical changes (stronger, better balance, more control over my breath and movement), but learning stillness and presence on the mat has done absolute wonders for my mental health off the mat. Adriene, and daily practise, have kept me sane through this uncertain, frightening and stressful time in everyone's lives, and I know that I will definitely still be practising every day once lockdown is over and Covid is a distant memory. Thank you so much Adriene, and the rest of the FWFG community
This is my very favorite practice Adrienne. I’ve had a challenging year with cancer, the pandemic and moving soon to a new city, as I do this much needed practice in my virtually empty old house prior to moving. This would be a good practice for each day! I am strong.
Today marks the 365th consecutive yoga practice for me! I started with a goal of 30 days, and I just kept going! Thank you, Adriene, for this amazing, life-changing gift! My body has totally transformed (I've lost 40 pounds and gained so much strength), but also my approach to daily life is much healthier. I deal with stressful situations much more calmly, I find myself less easily irritated, and I appreciate each new day as it arrives. I know you have done the same for millions of people in the YWA community. Thank you so much for your generosity and for sharing your wisdom and kindness freely. You are definitely changing the world in many positive ways. I chose this video for my 365th because it's the perfect combination of total body strength and flexibility training when I don't have a lot of time before work. I always finish it feeling positive and energized, ready to take on the day! Peace and love to all in the new year! ❤
Did this flow outside today in the sunshine and Austin heat on the back deck. Today is the first full day of the shelter-in-place order for our city. Your practices remind me that this too shall pass, that I am strong, and that I can get through this period of solitude (and loneliness) with the help of people like you, reaching out through the internet. I don't usually drop comments, but there's a first for everything. I've been doing yoga for quite some time now and a lot of times (read most) when I am unable to control my breath I get anxious. It's like yoga has the opposite effects for me sometimes. Of the numerous times I've practiced within a period of a year there are literally only two times I could "feel" the practice and let go in the true sense. One of them being today. I want this practice to serve as a reminder of how amazing it felt to not be in my mind all the time and just letting go and just flow.
Hoping for Renew tomorrow and day after and all the days after that to be like this one.

Today was the first day of me rebeginning my journey to care for myself and i wasn't expecting to be so emotional. i had to pause to sob and truly feel what i was feeling, but i'm so glad that i did. i feel blessed to have found this video and this channel. its amazing how something so simple impacted me so much and connected with something i didnt realize i was feeling. thank you

Today my intention was to just try, finish the practice and move my body because i havent been in the best shape recently. Happy to report, with many modifications and pauses, i completed the whole session.
That was my first practice after the BREATH-journey in january. I had decided to take a break from yoga because i noticed that it started to feel more like an obligation than a fun thing to do. But now I'm back and this flow was the perfect way to join back in. Sooo nice, ok y'all, see you soon :D
I’m glad to hear you’re back on your mat, and I hope you don’t feel like it’s an obligation anymore, but I understand if you still feel that way. I skipped a couple days for Bridge, what matters is just getting back to it!
I felt that too and I thought I was the only one, but I continued because I tried to remind myself of what Adriene says :"trust the process"
I felt the same way, and took off June and July. Then I started to really miss it, so I'm back! Trusting the process can also mean taking a step back!
Every time you say "Rain it down" and then jazz hands your way to the floor, I giggle a little and then do the same. Thank you for these awesome lessons!
Back to practice after a few weeks off, away on holiday in a small caravan,! Need to reaffirm and reset myself.

I was practicing every day for awhile but stopped sometime in May when life got in the way. It took courage to show up today, but I'm glad I did -- my balance and strength isn't where it used to be, but I'm looking forward to getting back there and feeling stronger. Thank you, Adriene!

I made it to today's practise :) at 13:50 I teared up bcs of how proud I am of showing up this morning and the progress I've been making in my yoga journey. It's amazing how 1 whole year can really make a difference 💕 proud of us all xo

Today I gracefully did the tree pose by mindfully easing my toes and gazing at drishti as the two foundation are essential to balance life whether into practice or our daily life.

I really wanted to complete this practice today for my positivity, so respecting my arthritis, I missed out the cobra flows and peddled in downward dog. This allowed me to achieve my three legged dogs and high lunges. Deep breathing through and doing my senior knee down side planks, I felt satisfied with my little workout today and 20 minutes was just right 😃👍 see you tomorrow on the mat for what looks like a favourite 🤔 but only 8 minutes, I’ll search for an add-on 😉 🙏🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️💕

I was a bit worried about doing this one today since I've been walking around a theme park all day, but it was good practise in learning to listen to my body and find what feels good!

I came on the mat today distracted. But I trust my ability to come home to my body through the practice. I kept saying to myself "All that I am". It's amazing how quickly the thoughts popped like bubbles. Just like that I've grounded myself!

Oooh! What a needed lovely practice. Here on day 2, Ywa March 🍀🌼02/03/2022. Ooh! I am finding my inner voice, seriously showing up for myself, giving myself more sincerity, love and appreciation and connecting much more with the sound of my breath. Today was a bit👌🏾challenging as I'm ruminating so much on letting go of unloving, unappreciative close family and friends. Showing up for my mind and i had a little giggle😌😀🤣😌 inspite of my body in so much pain has been so calming and uplifting. I'm wholeheartedly grateful to you Adriene💖💖 for this connecting practice, I did hydrate well.👍🏾👍🏾 Namaste to all & anyone here today🙏🏾💞🧘🏾♀️
Actually kind of funny, I was up to the tree pose and thinking energy up the front down the back, draw inwards, hmm I'm wobblier today than usual, oh it's an earthquake. Melbourne is having a big earthquake. Sorry Adriene this might break my focus! :)

It's amazing how you can do a practice repeatedly & feel something different each time. The first time I did this one I was fighting bad PTSD & anxiety & struggled but today I felt strong & empowered! 🙏🏻

Had to battle some internal demons telling me I couldn’t get through and that I wasn’t strong enough. I did and I was!! 💛 My intention was to focus on breath. I just breathed out those suckers! You are strong and you can do hard things. ((:

Stopped yoga somewhere in June because I couldn't show up consistently and I am back and I can't say it's been a good time away because yoga keeps me sane and school is really crazy right now. I hope i connect with the same integrity I had when I first started 💜 Te amo Adriene

Well, after 336 straight days of yoga, I'm able finally to get my foot high on my inner thigh in tree pose. I almost toppled over from the sheer shock of it! Who knows, after another 336 days maybe I can get the other foot up? What a lovely practice today. Enjoy your day.

As a senior yogi, I adjusted a little with my knee down in side planks and using knees to transition back up to plank through those vinyasas. This way I could get full benefit from this full body strengthening which I need .... ‘I am strong ‘ 😃👍 and then in corpse pose at the end I could really feel the nutrients of our practice doing me good with that lovely tingle ! See you tomorrow to tone those hamstrings, mine definitely need it ! 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💕
