Here's one that I strongly advocate and yet rarely see. DO: Pay attention to the other suiters around you. Just because you are aware of the health risks and your own limits, that doesn't mean that everyone around you knows or cares. If you are a suiter yourself, there are many signs you should already know that could indicate that a suiter is pushing themselves too far. Make sure you talk to them and encourage them to take a break if it looks like they need one. Also, MAJOR TIP!!! If you see someone in a suit sitting perfectly still for more than a couple of minutes, make sure you tap them on the shoulder and ask them if they are ok. There have been instances where suiters have sat down at a convention and DIED of heatstroke, but nobody knew until after the convention was over because on the outside, they look like every other cute suit chilling about. This is extremely important and could save someone's life.

You can come to it later when you are calm and have a clear head and can figure out what you can do to improve the situation.

Moarse is a hybrid of a sergal, shark, marsupial, and llama and alot of people bash me for my fursona since people say " sergals can't be hybrids of other species!" so thank you for this. Do: consider yourself part of the community even if you don’t have a fursuit, they are not a requirement and we all know that the costs are really high, and making your own takes a lot of effort, time, and skill. This seems pretty obvious, but I know a few people who say they want to be part of the community, but they don’t have a fur suit. It’s a very open and accepting community. Nobody is going to stop you.

I really appreciate the point brought up that you don’t have to be ashamed of settling for a partial. I was actually really down on myself for a while because I have type one diabetes and exerting myself in any way can lower my blood sugar. I was worried I wouldn’t be accepted or considered a “true” member of the fandom because I’m not able to wear a full suit, but I’ve seen countless amazing partial suiters and it’s helped me realize that it doesn’t matter what type of suit you have. You don’t even need one at all to be a valid member of this fandom! I’ve never felt so accepted in any other fandom than I have in the furry fandom

Don’t squeeze the life out of a fursuiter, especially if they are smaller than you. This happened to me at Anthrocon New England 2020 and my fursuit head is plastic and now it’s cracked. I’m not mad. Edit: Just the jaw is cracked. It’s taped right now. I was the smaller fursuiter. It’s working out fine for now until I can get it hot glued or something.

I have never been to a furry convention before so this video helps me a lot . And I do have a lot of struggles like art work and asking the makers about there work .
I’ve been told in the past that furries are creepy or crazy or immature, but it seems like it’s actually the same as most fandoms, most of the people are kind and caring, but there are a few that give it a bad name. It’s seems like a lot of fun and a great way to express yourself!!

Thank you so much Pocari Roo, I finally have been able to express my love of furries and finally create my own fursona! I have also always loved making costumes so im excited to start making digitgrade costumes for myself and then others ^-^

I’ve been told in the past that furries are creepy or crazy or immature, but it seems like it’s actually the same as most fandoms, most of the people are kind and caring, but there are a few that give it a bad name. It’s seems like a lot of fun and a great way to express yourself!!
