i just wanna address this cuz some people in the comments keep talking about this: some people keep sayin stuff like "i did all of this but im not a furry " or the way around and stuff - thats perfectly fine! none of this automatically makes you anything, these are just things from *my* personal experience with life, as i said in my video. on another note, i hope y'all have a good day! 💙🐺
When i was younger me and my cousin both used to play as a dog and a cat on our trampoline every day that we were with each other. We both became furries and she also became sort of a therian.
I have been watching videos of furrys and watching more of your content so am I a furry now of what should I tell my parents and my friends or should I wait???
@@ICEKNIGHT949 if you like the content and want to watch furry content more, then you are a furry. if you are scared to say that you are one to others, then wait, if not, then you can tell them
@ICEKNIGHT949 whether you feel like the furry label fits you or not is entirely up to you ✨️ if you wanna be a furry, and you enjoy the stuff/vibe of the fandom, I say go for it! if you don't wanna tell anyone, you don't have to. furry stuff is just another hobby and it's not a requirement to tell anybody anything about it 💙
I found out what furries were when I was 16, I am now turning 20. When that happened, once I found out that furries existed, it felt like it made me whole. I found my calling, I fit in so perfectly. The furry fandom has made my life oh so much better ❤ Even though I don't know any of you, each and every one of you I'd like to thank for being amazing people and making this awesome community into what it is today!
I guess better late than never, but still when you've been in such a strange wonderful and enlightening fandom like this, you appreciate the good merits it provides and not the negative. By the way, hello.
20 years old and being a furry/in the furry community is so cool jk bro wtf you are 20 years old an you are into this shit get a therapy but make sure to not bark at me LMAO
I found out about the fandom when i was like 11 years old i did the typical thing a 11 year old does and hated/thought it was cringe for a quite a few years all the way up till i was 17 then i got invited into this rather large group of friends and i started getting into mythology/cryptids, I was trying to draw a wendigo but i ended up drawing this random anthropormorphized deer character that some of my friends got really excited about for some reason (i found out later that the group of friends i was brought into were furries) then when i turned 18 they invited me along to a "party" i went with them and it turned out to be Anthrocon which at first being the little introverted gremlin i was back then i wanted to go home immediately but them being all extroverts one of them picked me up like i was a sack of potatoes and brought me inside where i eventually started having fun and ever since then i was a furry i still draw from time to time but other then that i ain't really active as i once was within the fandom.
@@dazley8021 I wasn't "adopted" more like snatched and grabbed by said extroverts lmao, I am around 5'4 and most of them were 6ft something so most of the time they'd just randomly pick me up and carry me around but sadly like most friend groups they break up and go separate ways then one by one we all fell out of contact so wherever they are in the world i hope they are doing well and achieving what they want most.
I became a furry recently but my childhood was incredibly furry in hindsight. I've always loved anthropomorphic characters. Tik tok pushed me into accepting it😅
im a child furry and it all started in 4th grade. i recently found fnaf and became obsessed with it, and i switched from drawing dragons to unproportionally thick fnaf ocs that were always female cuz I suck at drawing guys. i acted like this weird cat dragon creature and fake scratched everyone, they called me a furry but i denied it cuz I didn't know what it was. in 5th grade i still drew furries, but noticeably better. and when i finally searched it up on google, i knew it. i had found my people. ty
When I was very little, I was CERTAIN that my stuffed bear would someday turn into a person and knock on my front door so I could hug him forever. It still never happened though. :,(
I basically became a furry when I became 17 years old. Turning 20 in half a year. Back when I joined, I had absolutely NO CLUE what a furry was and never knew this was a fandom. Same as what you said, I ALWAYS loved the movies which included mostly anthropomorphic characters and always loved to sleep with stuffed animals. Like I can't sleep without atleast one stuffed animal 🙈 I thought I was just being an extremily weird person that I still love to sleep with them at the age I am in now, but when I found this fandom, I saw that I definetly wasn't alone! And the fact that people can dress up as a charracter they have made, like a huge stuffed animal was just... AMAZING!! 🤩 As by now, I have now been in the fandom for 2 and a half years, been to 3 furry conventions, have actually got to try out 2 fursuits and have a plantigrade fursuit on the making for myself now of my main sona, Inkosi! The people in this fandom are always so welcoming and nice and I absolutely love it! Thank you so much to everyone in this fandom whether I know you or not for being so nice! It's absolutely amazing! It has totally changed my life! This fandom also helped me figuring out the person that I am regarding sexuality and it has also helped me cure my social anxiety which I'm also sooo extremily thankful of! 🤩 I apologize whether it was hard to understand me sometimes. English is my 2nd language.
yesss sleeping with stuffed animals approaching your 20s gang! honestly yea, the fandom has 100% shaped me into myself and helped me figure out my sexuality/gender identity too, it's amazing
@@howlfuzzyI find it both cool and crazy what this fandom can do though! I'd be a straight depressed boy if I didn't find this fandom. Weird thing about it, I had a goal when I joined this fandom that I was never gonna turn gay. Now I'm here enjoying a lot being gay and could never be straight 😂
I was always fascinated with anthropomorphic characters since I was 3 years old. I guess it started with the small things like the earliest cartoons, such as Disney warner bros, looney tunes, care bears, etc, and followed afterwards with Disney's Robin Hood and Don Bluth's Secret of NIMH at age 5 and a year later with An American Tail. I didn't know that there was a true following to this or any kind of fandom until the internet began, so basically I've been a furry since 1985, being 3, officially.
I really should have worked out that I was a furry seeing as Zootopia was one of my favourite films as a kid and I STILL have an absurd number of stuffed animals Honestly, I didn’t realise I was a furry until I saw Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. I don’t know why it took me so long though TBH but whatever. Hindsight is a funny thing
The choice of music in this video is killing me with nostalgia. But yeah, I felt the same after joining the fandom and I still feel today, 12 years later as a furry. I joined when I was 17, never heard of furries before that. It was kinda an instant caught-interest of mine ! I'm now 29 and thinking back, yeah I can still say there was definitely signs during my childhood !
I think the sings of me being a furry was me liking Wild Kratts, me liking the animal themed skins (i especially liked the one stampy used) in minecraft and my obsession with sonic games. As a kid i was was into cars, engineering, electronics and sewing. My first interacion with any the furry fandom was a fursuit making video on youtube (probably found it cause i was watching sewing videos) and i found out i was a furry when i was 14 (anyway who remembers stampy's sky den vids?)
Yes! Wild kratts! Stampy. All of that coming back. I remember wanting to have the wild kratts suits so I could feel like I was an animal but still be me.
Yes, the second example is what I always have trouble with at places like Disneyland/world because the only other furry thing that got from there was a Robin Hood Christmas ornament. Other than that its kinda true that I focus on media with anthro in it
I found out about furries when I was 12. I don’t understand how so many furries started off hating on furries. I started calling myself a furry then, I am seventeen now and turning eighteen in six months. I still could not understand immediately hating something before knowing more about it.
Wow, everything you went over, except for the movies, was exactly how I was when I was younger. Now I'm a furry. A few months ago I looked back and realized that it was obvious I would be one even though I didn't know it at the time.
I thought I was a furry because I would howl in my room like a wolf at night while on my bed, keep in note, I’m autistic but didn’t know about my diagnosis when I got it as a kid, I also liked movies like Bolt and Happy Feet and would mimic their actions, as well as doing animal roleplays with my older sibling, I eventually came across BeautyoftheBass and thought their fursuit was cool, so I wanted to make a werewolf with a chest speaker, so yeah
I'm an old fart of a fur, as far as my RL age, though I didn't "officially" get into the fandom until my early thirties. I simply didn't know there were other adults who hadn't "grown out of" loving animal characters. I loved it all as a kid, though. Everything from Aesop's Fables, the Ranger Rick character stories. . .all the books I checked out from the local library usually involved animal characters. As I got older, I noticed that the things I was expected to like for my age range just didn't interest me. I was "supposed to" like stories about people. Just. . .people. Book series like "The Babysitter's Club" were given to me. . because that's what girls my age liked, I guess. And my parents and older sibling, who could see that I still gravitated toward animal stories, cartoons, figures and plush toys, cautioned me strongly not to let people know I liked those things. I spent most of my teens and twenties keeping it to myself. I'd heard OF furries during that time but didn't know much about what the fandom was, or heard enough negatives to keep my distance from it for many years. I'm glad I eventually found it, though.
My biggest sign was that I liked to pretend to be animals. Like, for a while, I'd pretend to be a wood chuck/water rat, a chipmunk etc. Aside from that, I loved Pokemon as a child, and would constantly give them human personalities (with the ability to talk and stuff)
I am not really sure when it first started, but I think it was around the time I watched Skylanders Academy and TMNT 2012 and 2007 and when I played Ratchet & Clank 2016. I didn’t really pay much attention to it back then, until I got a random recommended video from a furry channel. I probably got more interested in the fandom after that.
As a kid i uses to love this one random game character, essentially had a hyper fixation on them. It was a glowy white cat creature name ori, and it was crystal clear i was some what if a furry. Even my main character "Kanovii," is still loosely based around that cat thing. It got the horns, it is white, and is a alien thing. (Did originally also came from plants too) Say im still in love with ori, but now I'm obsessed with eevees and idk even anymore where the hell im going. Just gonna say its a whole wild story
Blind Forest as a furry Awakening is an odd one, but perfectly understandable. Cute innocent mammal thing is probably the de facto gateway to furries drug.
One of the things I did was I was really into a comic series called Calvin & Hobbes. It includes a stuffed tiger that Calvin plays with all the time. In Calvin's mind, he's a full blown tiger, but he talks to him. They play and have fun together in most of the strips.
My signs: #1 I roleplayed as a wolf with my friends (Who are probably furries now lol-) #2 I obsessed over warrior cats #3 I drew ANTHRO animals #4 I drew animals
OMG I used to do the same with my stuffed animals!! I had about 35 of them and I gave them backstories and how they interact with other stuffed animals. Also, when I was around 11 in a history lesson, I watched Disney Robin Hood and was obsessed with the film because of the characters, which is how I discovered furries.
so a while ago i had this friend that would always play warrior cats and animals with me. (both games we would be an animal and made the sounds for it.) I told her that i was a furry and she said "what the heck" and "that's really weird" she had a tail and paws.
Me and my brother role played what we called 'kitten' where one of us would be the the cat or kitten and the other would be the owner. I have definitely noticed a lot of things that I did as a child and am now like "Oh my gosh. I was a furry before I even new it." I also did the thing with the stuffed animals and currently have probably a bit over 60 stuffed animals.😅😅😅
The Nintendogs music in the background really got me😂 Great video I really enjoyed it ☺️ Yeah the Bolt thing... Same 😂 I somehow always thought I was the only one Might as well go watch it now to see how much of the script I actually remember to this day ☺️ Have a fantastic furry day everyone ☀️🦊
Its really nice to be able to hear how you got into the fandom! It really gave me some memorize of what how i got into anthropomorphic character's, from a young age i took a liking in acting out events that i would engage with either being the hero or a soldier but had some parts that i would imagine as an like German shepherd although rarely but love bringing things to life like that had a life of there own, but what really got me into the thought of being a furry was the youtube animations either furry or fnaf along with some short films of stories it has. although it was hard to be part of such things personally for me since i was a very introverted kid and had a hard time with finding friends plus with some problems that prevented me from being part of the community, but now I'm 21years old and i was able to take a liking to it again and with a good refresh flash back for why i though this would be the community i can be a part of is just the challenge's everyone has and knowing that I'm not alone and i can be able to be more expressive about myself in knowing that i can in joy something that's accepted and with others that i can even in joy with too! Thx for the video it really help me to gain a better insight not only the fandom its self but others who represents it for we all are dealing with somethings and we all wanna have fun with such freedom to freely express ourself for what we really could dream of being! :3
Bolt was (and still is) one of my favorite movies ever. The message of just adapting to change is amazing. One of the only movies I have all the lines memorized.
When I was younger, I would mostly like the animated animals, for example, “Zootopia” “Secret life of pets 1/2” “Sing”. Other things I had interest as well were animated cartoons with animals, my favorites were “We bear bears” “Amazing World Of Gumball”
Alright, so just take that scene from Diamond Is Unbreakable where Yoshikage Kira rants about the Mona Lisa and replace the Mona Lisa with the opening scene of Ice Age 3. That's me.
For me, it all started with that Cartoon Network show "Legends of Chima" back in 2013. I would get SO HYPED UP over every new episode that would air on that channel, and of course my favorite tribe was the wolves. And then two years later, it was Deviantart... those were the good old days... 😆🤣
I really appreciate the Nintendogs bath music 😭 spent a lot of time keeping my pups clean! ...which should be another furry sign that I really only played animal related games 😂 like feral heart, and other impressive title games.
I don't know why, this even predated my access to the internet or even tv, but I always found it funny that even until I was 6 years old all I did to communicate would be whimpering like a dog, I knew how to speak quite well, but I plainly refused for many months until I finally spoke out of frustration. It even feels like I was predestined now that I think about it xD.
The fact all my characters default to anthro animals, and when I draw myself I'm a dog. Or playing a game with character customization I search for an animal look 🐾❤️🐶 I have a furry mod on the Sims 4 and I dress my Animal Crossing character up as a an animal. Still hoping they add an option to play as a animal character in the next game ❤
Same with the playing pretend part. House? I was the dog. Pokémon? I was some pokemon (ninetales and any eevee were my faves). I loved how to train your dragon. And anytime there was a tf scene in a book (magic tree house had two I distinctly remember) I was so invested, reading it over and over. It was inevitable. Also my last name is literally Fox so… Found the fandom at 15, make Ink at 16, and now at 21 trying to be more social in the fandom. I also ran into an old friend from ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and turns out she’s been a furry all along. I didn’t know what a furry was when we were friends but looking back it’s 100% obvious based solely on vibes. Edit: I FORGOT PLUSHIES I HAVE WAY TOO MANY AND ALSO WOULD NOT GIVE THEM AWAY AS A KID CAUSE THEY WERE MY FRIENDS. Still sleep with my doggy from infancy.
i LOVE pokemon! defo my favorite franchise and current hyperfixation since january lol i also had a friend from elementary who is a furry LOL, after we reunited in 2020. that's wild we're similar in that aspect!
bro i remember having a entire universe of just my stuffed animals, i still kinda have it but it got remodeled (went from stuffed animals to fursonas) also i love how i was super edgy and was a super anti-furry so i go say stuff like "yea i hate furries since they are cringe and annoying" then go to my room and fantasize about toriel (idk why i had a crush on her) and play with my stuffed animals
One big sign i noticed is that when you are in your early teen years if you ask your friends "do you think im a furry" their response is accurate. When i was 13 all my friends thought i was a bisexual furry for some reason. Around 16 years old i became a bisexual furry.
I think the two biggest signs from my childhood that I can think of were me really enjoying Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, and binge reading the entire Guardians of Ga’Hoole series.
I figured I was a furry after I had a whole Pokémon addiction for like 3 years then I collected over 1k dollars worth of fnaf plushies and I liked furries in general
I don't remember when I heard about or became a furry, but I remember in primary, whenever I played games with my friend group, my character was almost always an animal human hybrid thing thats basicly become my fursona. I also liked being the pet in the family game too. thats all I remember right now though, also good video.
For the past couple weeks ive been debating if i was a furry. Because i always thought it was cool i just didnt want to get bullied for it. But i have finally come to the conclusion that i am one! Almost done my Fursona as well! Good video btw! i did lots of the same things when i was a kid lol.
Aside from the autism (apparently, a large amount of furrys have it), I was always playing "imagination" with my little brother, the usual wilderness survival with a point system, I think one time he made a scenario where we would shift to animals. Then there were the stuffed animals, even with a suppressive and narcissistic father, I loved those things and cried when he got rid of the collection when I turned 10. Looking back, I did like a lot of movies where the animals had some kind of humanistic character (the jungle book, Rio, zootopia, angrybirds), so it all makes sense.
I will have to say, we aren't different at all XD. I did all of those things and it was kinda like a sign to me that 'hey, you might be into this when your older' and i was honestly so scared of being a furry... until i saw the cute art and I was just willing to take the dive into the community to try it out and i dont regret it at all the community is so much nicer and better overall than the antifur community (no im not proud of anything i did awhile i was still comfortable with the antifur community) but aye, im glad i joined this community, you all have been so nice 🍻
Ok so, this may sound crazy but I just randomly became a furry out of nowhere, like idek what age i became a furry. Back then for a short time i watched CN, and then Qubo came into my childhood (and back then i didn't know much abt having & not having cable and such), and tbh it made me so happy. On qubo it had quite a lot of furry/anthropomorphic animals aside from shows with humans mostly; like Rupert, turbo dogs, 3,2,1 penguin. There was more on other tv programs that i can't think of rn but over the yrs I have favorite furry & animal taking movies and shows like bolt and zootopia, bolt is my most favorite including the song & everything else. Also back then i don't believe I have heard of "furries" or "anthropomorphic animals", i just catagorize it as something unknown and i couldn't describe it. Also I use to watch a lot of animal tf's on youtube, the best youtuber for that would be someone named "wolfking146" or "wolfking145" but anyways as much as i wanna say a few more things, i'll just stop here. So far it made my childhood hands down, it was like a childhood heaven to me or something.
Interestingly enough, I never showed any of these things. What set me off to becoming a furry was discovering protogen fursuits (I was and still am a tech nerd), soon after that I discovered VRchat and what furries were. At first I was hesitant to watch anything that had the word furry in the title, literally 3 or 4 VRC vids later I realised that it was furry content and did not care if it was in the title or not, and so here I am.
It all started in I believe, 2nd grade if I'm not mistaken. It was 2017, and I recently found out about the FNAF Community and as soon as I saw some gameplay of the game, I almost instantly fell in love with the fandom! Cuz, well the lore and the game in general were interesting but mostly because of the anthropomorphic animal animatronic characters in which I absolutely loved. At the time I went from drawing ordinary animals to the FNAF Characters, because they were animals but anthropomorphic. Then a few years later, I believe in 6th grade, it was 2019, and I was 9 years old. I would pretty much all the time have an avatar of an animal in online games, and those were the times where I was called a furry. Now, at this time, I did not know what a furry was, fast foward to when I was 12 that's when I finally found out about the Furry Community and ooohhhh boy, I was like "I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE!". But yeah, that's how I got to where I am today! :3
Biggest sign was me REALLY enjoying Yoshi to an extreme degree as I would have the plushes and then I had my Minecraft Skin and name as Yoshi until I changed it to Daro a few years ago. I also sleep with this Yoshi plush and it is incredible. I still cuddle with it I will admit. It is also very comfy. I am 18 btw.
my experience is almost exactly the same, the only difference being I didn't force my family to watch Bolt, I just watched it by myself. I still make videos with my stuffed animals and I don't think people fully understand what I mean when I say they all have unique personalities and interests
I wouldn't say I'm a furry, I shown a lot of signs when I was a kid, but I just like using this account to watch furry related videos on the internet, that's about about it, much love!!!
I know people who showed early signs as a furry, and did got into the idea for real - but eventually outgrew them when they reached young adulthood. I know one such sibling - both brothers were furries together for the first 3 years, but the other one stopped liking it during the pandemic, while the other one is still very much one.
You know whats funny? I didnt even own plushies before i became a furry! 🤣 I was primarily a lego kid, heck animals or animal characters didnt even interest me all that much back then. It was mostly space and technology! For me personally the whole furry thing was like a switch that suddenly flipped the moment I watched a TLK movie (the 1 1/2 one about Timon & Pumbaa) when I was 13. That day I watched that movie like two or three times in a row. My life changed that day. At first I got into fan forums about TLK and T&P specifically and just a year later or so I found out about fursuits and that's what *really* hooked me into the furry fandom. There was this *one* time I play pretended to be a dog with my cousin, back when I was like 10 or younger, but it literally was once. xD Tho back in my childhood, like early days, when I was like 4 or 5 apparently I was a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog (My parents still keep teasing me about it), but I dont remember it being this intense, for me it was just another cartoon i liked watching, but maybe it paved the road and the T&P movie pushed me into the direction, who knows! But it certainly wasn't plushies. ^^ Also I never really was into RP nor did I ever had an ensemble of characters outside of a fanfic. I still only Have that one fursona and he changed species once in like almost 20 years. xD Oh and ironically, at the moment of me writing this, my hyperfixation is the Sonic franchise. Talk about full circle development!
lol, i mean if you wanted to be at the end of the video i said it doesn't make someone a furry, just how looking back it makes sense to me specifically^^
I kinda liked the idea of anthro characters probably from watching disney films but only found out about furries november last year and then became one
Dang, when I was younger I did all the same stuff as you, howlfuzzy. I was always the pet in the game “family.” Also, I LOVED the movie bolt and all my stuff toys are animals. 😂👍
I never cared much for dolls as a kid; I always preferred stuffed animals. I loved shows, movies, and books about talking animals; Warriors and MLP were some of my favorites. I also really enjoyed (and still do!) Pokémon. Now my sona is a Pokéfusion XD
Oooo Yeah. When I Was A Little Kid, I ONLY Liked To Play With Stuffed Animals And Acton Figures. I HATED Playing With Dolls. Most of my toys were of Rabbits, Dragons, And Dinosaurs. And I would give them Human Personalities and backstories. I Also LOVED To Draw Animal Characters. (And I Still Do) I’ve Actually written A Few Homemade storybooks Books about the characters I created. I Was Definitely Always A Furry.
I might have learned about the furry fandom a lot later than most, and joined 10y after even that, but looking back on my life I should have joined the fandom a lot sooner. I have learned more about myself in the past 2 years since I considered myself part of the fandom than I have in the previous 15 before that, and I feel more (and less) at home in my own body now than I ever have. I don't feel "not at home in my own body" because I'm trans tho. Gender is not the issue here. The issue is that i have discovered that I am Therian, with a kinship with dragons (the creature doesn't have to exist IRL for you to have valid kinship with it). My brain seems to think my body should have wings and a tail, and sometimes I get phantom sensations from those despite them not existing. My thoughts are always on what is the most just and ethical course of action, just like a metallic dragon from D&D. I have always been fantastically quick at solving problems that require a lot of thought and/or planning to get a working solution in place. And from this, I feel like the truest representation of myself is not a human, but a dragon. I still live like a human IRL, I know I can't really just change my species like that (that's probably a few thousand years into the future if we ever do that or even have the human race live that long). But I FEEL like I'm not human on the inside.
To be honest, you're right it's kind of obvious when you think about it. I've always loved animals, had tons of stuffed adorable toys when I was a kid. I refused to play barbie to play with my little pony instead (the only time I played was with the horses). The first movie I was obsessed with Balto, I drew wolves all the time (still do) but I thought, nah, I just like animated movies and animals (I mean I did like other disney movies so maybe I didn't realize I was turning into a furry ^^). That denial persisted until 2022 I watched The Bad Guys and thought to myself while having a crush on both Diane and Mr Wolf... wait a minute, holy shit ! Then I realized I also liked movies that had anthropomorphic animals before, like Basil Great Mouse Detective, I loved also Kung Fu Panda and so many other movies and anime that had anthropomorfic animals. There, now I finally decided to draw furry characters instead of just ferals ! I was doomed from the start anyway ! XD
I knew I was a Furry in my late teens early 20s when I finally found out that's what the characters in all the great art I loved so much were called. Looking back it was pretty obvious, I loved anything with animated animals and creatures in it, loved scifi and horror monsters over any other movie media, anything werewolf or kaiju. My first crush as a kid was Nala from lion king for crying out loud 😆. I think digimon was my first huge clue as a kid though, especially when renamon debuted and the Fandom art blew the internet up.
My sign was that I saw these group of like emo/punks/maybe goth kids wearing tails at school. Everyone I knew thought they were weird I thought they were cool. Ever since then I wanted to dress like them down to the T as in tail. Still don’t have a tail but I’m currently making my very first fursona or should I say scalie. Oh and my “first tail” was this umbreon hoodie I got online and I wore it everyday because not only did it have a tail but I was also my favorite Pokémon at the time. Still have that hoodie and took real good care of it for the past 8 years.
one day, like a lot of things i like to do now the obsession just spawned in. i have yet to track its source. i do have some theories though, it may have evolved from my absurd amount of empathy for non human things and my love for nature, or some weird dreams i had idk.
The figurines of wolves where my love and life. edit: i DID THE SAME THING WITH BOLT. I know it by heart. "Bolt, zoom zoom" "Calicos in bolivia! Near lake road of wago (??) oh oh oh..." "Like road of wago, i shoulda known" w a g o

That’s A Cool Story!
So the stories ARE real.
Extroverts really do adobt introverts and show them around 😂
@@dazley8021 I wasn't "adopted" more like snatched and grabbed by said extroverts lmao, I am around 5'4 and most of them were 6ft something so most of the time they'd just randomly pick me up and carry me around but sadly like most friend groups they break up and go separate ways then one by one we all fell out of contact so wherever they are in the world i hope they are doing well and achieving what they want most.
This is such an amazing way to be introduced to the fandom, straight up brought to a fur con, I am so jelous!
I never hated it
I became a furry recently but my childhood was incredibly furry in hindsight.

When I was very little, I was CERTAIN that my stuffed bear would someday turn into a person and knock on my front door so I could hug him forever. It still never happened though. :,(
I feel that on so many damn levels xc
@@howlfuzzywild kratts and stampylongnose really influenced me.
@@iamarizonaball2642 WILD KRATTS!!!
@@xoldragonwild scratch. 👍
Like I can't sleep without atleast one stuffed animal 🙈
I thought I was just being an extremily weird person that I still love to sleep with them at the age I am in now, but when I found this fandom, I saw that I definetly wasn't alone! And the fact that people can dress up as a charracter they have made, like a huge stuffed animal was just... AMAZING!! 🤩
As by now, I have now been in the fandom for 2 and a half years, been to 3 furry conventions, have actually got to try out 2 fursuits and have a plantigrade fursuit on the making for myself now of my main sona, Inkosi!
I apologize whether it was hard to understand me sometimes.
Now I'm here enjoying a lot being gay and could never be straight 😂
whoever leaves a hate comment just ignore him and block him, they will give up one day
I was always fascinated with anthropomorphic characters since I was 3 years old.
3 years old is mad
Yeah I'm the same, might as well be from birth. Played Dust: An Elysian Tail and fucking glued myself to Fidget.
I really should have worked out that I was a furry seeing as Zootopia was one of my favourite films as a kid and I STILL have an absurd number of stuffed animals
Honestly, I didn’t realise I was a furry until I saw Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
Wild Kratts Was My JAM As A Kid!
One of my favorite songs of all time was "If I had a tail" even before I became a furry.
For me how I turned out as a furry was my attraction for werewolf like characters
They play and have fun together in most of the strips.
goated comic
I became a furry when I was 8 years old.
I don't fit in at all, but people tend to make that their problem instead of mine.
My signs:
#1 I roleplayed as a wolf with my friends (Who are probably furries now lol-)
#2 I obsessed over warrior cats
#3 I drew ANTHRO animals
#4 I drew animals
When I was growing up I loved watching Invizimals so it's obvious I'm a furry now.
HELP I’D ALWAYS BEG TO BE THE DOG IN A RP MY FRIENDS WOULD BE LIKE “not again” AND I ENDED UP BEING A FURRY THIS IS SO RELATABLE
I Was The same With Stuffed Animals 😂
holy SHIT this video POPPED OFF
thank y'all so much, hello all the new people i love you all
hi
Hi
so a while ago i had this friend that would always play warrior cats and animals with me. (both games we would be an animal and made the sounds for it.) I told her that i was a furry and she said "what the heck" and "that's really weird" she had a tail and paws.
@@I-Eat-Leifs they're just not there yet on the pipeline xD
Me and my brother role played what we called 'kitten' where one of us would be the the cat or kitten and the other would be the owner. I have definitely noticed a lot of things that I did as a child and am now like "Oh my gosh. I was a furry before I even new it."
I also did the thing with the stuffed animals and currently have probably a bit over 60 stuffed animals.😅😅😅
I am currently a furry, and i can defineitly agree that i used to literally watch bolt and the 101 dalmations (animated version ofc) like 24/7
The Nintendogs music in the background really got me😂
Great video I really enjoyed it ☺️
Yeah the Bolt thing... Same 😂 I somehow always thought I was the only one
Might as well go watch it now to see how much of the script I actually remember to this day ☺️
Have a fantastic furry day everyone ☀️🦊
1:52 I realized how much I watched zootopia as a kid a few years later .
lol i cannot count how many times i've seen zootopia
such a good movie
@@howlfuzzy yeah same
Its really nice to be able to hear how you got into the fandom!
One of the only movies I have all the lines memorized.
dawg why is this genuinely real
When I was younger, I would mostly like the animated animals, for example, “Zootopia” “Secret life of pets 1/2” “Sing”. Other things I had interest as well were animated cartoons with animals, my favorites were “We bear bears” “Amazing World Of Gumball”
Alright, so just take that scene from Diamond Is Unbreakable where Yoshikage Kira rants about the Mona Lisa and replace the Mona Lisa with the opening scene of Ice Age 3. That's me.
I looked back on this myself and didn’t think much of it until senior year of highschool and joined the fandom
Or playing a game with character customization I search for an animal look 🐾❤️🐶
I have a furry mod on the Sims 4 and I dress my Animal Crossing character up as a an animal. Still hoping they add an option to play as a animal character in the next game ❤
@@revelryinthedark playing as an animal in animal crossing would be AWESOME!
Also my last name is literally Fox so…
Found the fandom at 15, make Ink at 16, and now at 21 trying to be more social in the fandom.
Still sleep with my doggy from infancy.
i LOVE pokemon! defo my favorite franchise and current hyperfixation since january lol
i also had a friend from elementary who is a furry LOL, after we reunited in 2020. that's wild we're similar in that aspect!
bro i remember having a entire universe of just my stuffed animals, i still kinda have it but it got remodeled (went from stuffed animals to fursonas)
also i love how i was super edgy and was a super anti-furry so i go say stuff like "yea i hate furries since they are cringe and annoying" then go to my room and fantasize about toriel (idk why i had a crush on her) and play with my stuffed animals
One big sign i noticed is that when you are in your early teen years if you ask your friends "do you think im a furry" their response is accurate. When i was 13 all my friends thought i was a bisexual furry for some reason. Around 16 years old i became a bisexual furry.
lol look at that xD
I became a furry when I was sick with cancer and when my hair started falling out. So my mother bought me animal themed hats and I really loved them

I don't remember when I heard about or became a furry, but I remember in primary, whenever I played games with my friend group, my character was almost always an animal human hybrid thing thats basicly become my fursona. I also liked being the pet in the family game too. thats all I remember right now though, also good video.
I found out furries were a thing when I was 18. I am 23 and still going strong.
I love stuffed animals to btw
For the past couple weeks ive been debating if i was a furry. Because i always thought it was cool i just didnt want to get bullied for it. But i have finally come to the conclusion that i am one! Almost done my Fursona as well! Good video btw! i did lots of the same things when i was a kid lol.
screw it! live life for yourself! there always gonna be someone trying to tear you down, just do what makes you happy!
Dude this video is actually so relatable (the plushies and pretend part)
Aside from the autism (apparently, a large amount of furrys have it), I was always playing "imagination" with my little brother, the usual wilderness survival with a point system, I think one time he made a scenario where we would shift to animals.
Then there were the stuffed animals, even with a suppressive and narcissistic father, I loved those things and cried when he got rid of the collection when I turned 10.
Looking back, I did like a lot of movies where the animals had some kind of humanistic character (the jungle book, Rio, zootopia, angrybirds), so it all makes sense.
was obsessed with stuffed animals (wolves), drew furry related art, loved zootopia and *BLUEY
So far it made my childhood hands down, it was like a childhood heaven to me or something.
aaa bolt is one of my favorite movies ever ^w^ i used to watch it every single time. loved the video, and have very good day
Vary Underrated Movie
Interestingly enough, I never showed any of these things.
What set me off to becoming a furry was discovering protogen fursuits (I was and still am a tech nerd), soon after that I discovered VRchat and what furries were.
At first I was hesitant to watch anything that had the word furry in the title, literally 3 or 4 VRC vids later I realised that it was furry content and did not care if it was in the title or not, and so here I am.
I watch zootopia and they thought it's just a movie and i was curious why animals talk and stand i was 9
It all started in I believe, 2nd grade if I'm not mistaken. :3
As soon as I figured out that furries also drew antho animals Ever since 3rd grade I've known :)
Awwww I Like Yoshi! ☺️
I Have A HUGE Yoshi Plushie.
my experience is almost exactly the same, the only difference being I didn't force my family to watch Bolt, I just watched it by myself. I still make videos with my stuffed animals and I don't think people fully understand what I mean when I say they all have unique personalities and interests
Being a furry at times just feels like the right thing to be.
always!
I Became a Furry When I Was 5
I used to love cartoons, where Antros was main stuff. VRchat & furry art start to get into my brain only in 2021.
The common warning signs 😂
LOL p much
I uhhhhh... I read warrior cats.
I wouldn't say I'm a furry, I shown a lot of signs when I was a kid, but I just like using this account to watch furry related videos on the internet, that's about about it, much love!!!
I don't think I had any signs that I was furry until middle school since I usually played with action figures from WWE and had a ton of toy cars.
I was primarily a lego kid, heck animals or animal characters didnt even interest me all that much back then.
There was this *one* time I play pretended to be a dog with my cousin, back when I was like 10 or younger, but it literally was once. xD
Tho back in my childhood, like early days, when I was like 4 or 5 apparently I was a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog (My parents still keep teasing me about it), but I dont remember it being this intense, for me it was just another cartoon i liked watching, but maybe it paved the road and the T&P movie pushed me into the direction, who knows! But it certainly wasn't plushies. ^^
Also I never really was into RP nor did I ever had an ensemble of characters outside of a fanfic. I still only Have that one fursona and he changed species once in like almost 20 years. xD
Oh and ironically, at the moment of me writing this, my hyperfixation is the Sonic franchise. Talk about full circle development!
so that means am a furry..... cause everything you said I did as a kid
lol, i mean if you wanted to be
at the end of the video i said it doesn't make someone a furry, just how looking back it makes sense to me specifically^^
Only ogs remember the doggy town team
dear lord let's not xD
i could have guessed it when i was i child. (Everytime i was playing with some other kids around my age i wanted to be their dog)
None of these were me except the second one. I would refuse to watch movies in general for some strange reason
nice vid and also i love the movie Bolt ❤, anyways have a good day>-
aww you too!
bolt is such a good movie, i have to rewatch it soon
I Was Definitely Always A Furry.
hell yea! love that for you!
How do I make these signs show for one of my little brothers? He's 9.
I was apart of furry but now I got bored of it. Now I'm into my ooolllddd car
that's fair!
My fave cartoons were the ones without humans or few humans in them. TinyToons was a prime example.
Still have that hoodie and took real good care of it for the past 8 years.
hell yea! umbreon is an awesome pokemon, i LOVE its' shiny form!
galloping up the stairs , i hated furries, but now i am one and im still doing that normally 💀
I became a furry because I hated furries… Yeah. XD
That’s what happens with Most Anti-Furries.
They become the vary thing they hate.
one day, like a lot of things i like to do now the obsession just spawned in. i have yet to track its source. i do have some theories though, it may have evolved from my absurd amount of empathy for non human things and my love for nature, or some weird dreams i had idk.
The figurines of wolves where my love and life.
edit: i DID THE SAME THING WITH BOLT. I know it by heart.
"Bolt, zoom zoom"
"Calicos in bolivia! Near lake road of wago (??) oh oh oh..."
"Like road of wago, i shoulda known"
