I've been scammed out of a piece, and the original artist of the trace piece actually drew me a new piece for free to make up for what that one tracer did!
I've had some young child come up to me and ask for a fursuit of a stolen character and art from someone on FA. When I refused he made a huge beware on Deviant Art because I refused to make his fursuit. He told me he would pay me right away. Thankfully I was able to get ahold of someone who knew him personally. He stole his grandma's credit card and was going to commission a fursuit. If you are still a minor and wanting a fursuit. Earn the money yourself. Please don't not steal from your family members
Jastorals being a minor myself I have a head but I saved up did chores and asked for it and the maker was so kind even though it was a premise it looked exactly like my fursona as well as I feel minors like me shouldn’t commission unless they are like 17 because eventually your grow out of it but even if you sell it you would have to give the character away
I am a minor and I am saving for a fur suit I may commission it or I may make it. It depends. I have saved over $200 in bday money, christmas and chores. I believe minors shouldn’t take their parents or grandparents credit cards. I have a brain
I actually had one asking for a fursuit head of Telephone, today xD The persons excuse was that she was new to the fandom. And earlier this month a little kid stole her moms credit card and ordered a fursuit + parts from me while she pretended to be an adult (Her language even sounded like an adult and not like a 12 years old kid)
I can't believe there are kids out there that think this is an okay thing to do. I get they're young but cmon they teach you from day 1 that stealing is bad. Parents aren't made of infinite money, they'll notice a few hundred dollars missing!!

there is a tracer in my art class, she dose her drawing at home so no one sees her do it but she is clearly a beginner and Friday she just comes in with the well done eagle head and I was like "you didn't do that" in my head and yesterday I went to google images and typed in "eagle drawings" and I found the original and I may or may not call her out on it tomorrow
I have someone in my class like that. She traces pictures, and claims them as her own. She's been getting awards recently for it. I go to this thing called Quest, too. It's a group of kids who can draw REALLY good, and me and my friend got in. The tryouts are hard and the girl who traces really wants to get in. She needs to realize this is wrong. Please send help.
I've got a girl like that in afew of my classes. She traces a bunch of art and shows it off to the class. She likes to think she is the best "artist" in the whole school and when I come along with w.i.p (sketches) drawings she trys to call me out saying I traced it and I actually suck at drawing even though you can see all the guidelines and stuff. Not to mention I will do some drawings from scratch during class which she still tries to claim are traced, even after my friends who watch me tell her that I'm just skilled at drawing. She's lately been trying to sell her art for like $10-$20 for a fully traced piece, I'm warning people tomorrow that her art is traced (with proof) I hope no one buys her stuff

@Grace Burns im sorry, isnt a furry just like a type of cosplay correct me if im wrong, but i thought it was just that you made up a cute cartoony human-like animal and then maybe get a fursuit made of it
My parents and brother are anti furry as for my older sister, she’s more kind about it and my twin brother is very mad. Like bruh. I plan to get my fursuit when I go to collage so I can get it with enough money and I won’t grow out of it if I get it at this age. I plan to go to my brother in fursuit and ask who am i and see his reaction. HAHHAHA
Here's a story. One of my buyers had me make them a tail. Once i was pretty mutch done. They used buyer protection and got a refund. Now they will not even respond too me :/ // so yes here is proof a buyer can scam the seller.
From my understanding, buyers protection is a timed thing... if it isn’t too long of a wait I would send a photo of my product and asked if it looked good before they are unable to get a refund (sorry if this is confusing)
I bought a $35 adopt from someone and about 8 month a later some body stole it, they blocked me and blocked everyone that tells them, they are now trying to sell it as an adoptable for $5, 3 different people bought it from her for 5 dollars, so now there is 4 people with my fursona, she is also trading it for other OCs and is commissioning art of it even though she sold and traded the character many times.
I Have the furry amino too, and i don't suggest buying anything from there. bunch of kids make these characters that they draw and try to sell them as adoptables. smh...
Furry Amino is very strict. I was called out for tracing two times by people who stole my art. Both of them were larger accounts with plenty more followers. One had even gotten someone,Wangle, banned.
I just had a commissioner so paranoid about being scammed that they charged back on my account and took their money back when I didn't finish the suit in 3 months (which is v fast um)
Kiwi Kups Oh hey! I’m not the only one who noticed! Sometimes when I reply to a comment, it duplicates and I have to delete one. Maybe something similar happened here?
I was just scammed out of a partial that had been in peogress for a month... then i was ghosted then blocked.. i didnt pay yet thank God but im heart broken over here and i dont know what i did wrong
I got scammed out of $200 for a faux fur lot and never got it but they used a temporary email for their paypal so even though I paid for goods and services they couldnt refund me.
Dillon Cookson We call it faux fur because it's not a really animal fur xD it's not because it was a scam, almost all furs you can buy are called "faux". Faux in English is another word for fake xD
if someone was scamed and bought my sona and they told me about it id take pity and try to make them a new character thats very simular. or i would be even nicer and help them get the money back
Ahhh I did not even realize you used my lineart for this video until some I know pointed it out :'D Thank you so much though!! It means a lot to see any type of artwork of mine on a video, especially from such a well-known figure!!
I’m a young fur- 12 to be exact. It utterly disgusts me how people my age are dumb enough to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on a suit and expect their parents not to see the missing money and think they can hide it. I’ve been saving for a long time and have almost 400$- enough to buy a digi fullsuit from my favorite maker! Before you go off, the sizing is gonna be bigger than me by a little, and I haven’t grown in roughly 1.5 years. The furry fandom should be safe and legit, and most of it is- but some people make it a dark place- so try not to get caught up in it! ♡︎
To the adoptables thing, there are also some people who sold character which they really like. Like 2 days after they sold it,they start to want it again - and they are just like - ,,I love them soo soo sooo much,so I took them back. Blah,blah,blah..." When they are people then commenting, they are being rude to them. They can make similar character. Not same, but similar.
11:16 once I saw a really cute gorgeous cat oc, so I just texted the owner if it was OK if I drew fanart for them and gladly agreed! It was really fun and it felt good to be kind to a stranger
I just wanna say, I'm grateful for this guide because I've been burned by scams a few times myself, and art theft is generally horrible to go through. The point that "High variations in art style" is a red flag is, however, also a bit hard hitting for me as someone who's still developing a cohesive "style". Now, I only draw for fun, and one of the big reasons I'm inconsistent is because I draw maybe once every few months. But the idea that if I one day want to sell my art, I'd likely have to prove my own innocence (Which I can do with my photoshop files. I keep them all), gives me too much anxiety to even touch the market. I'm not disagreeing that it can still be considered a red flag, but I hope most people understand that if someone's style is radically different every picture, it could also be the case that they haven't "stuck" with one they like yet. Art styles are tricky.
I commissioned an artist on amino for a bundle (5 icons, a fullbody, a bust, a glitch icon and a custom) and a day later their account was deleted ;~; Trying to fix it with PayPal now
It's also good to do some extra research into a buyer's age (for suit makers). I was about to accept a down payment from a fur who claimed they were 16, my personal minimum age to buy a partial. They let slip that they were actually 12, and proceeded to try and guilt me into taking their commission anyway. Be safe everyone!
Somebody once tried to sell Starlight on a Facebook group I wasn't a part of apparently @-@ (Also loved the part where you talked about that artist who can draw in a million styles, I work in a ton of styles and I'm always so self concious about it ^^;)
Whenever I make a commission, I make the buyer give me half the money before I start on it. I then hand them a blurry version of the finished piece before getting all the money. I haven't made many commissions but I think this is the way to go. Even if you, the seller gets scammed, you can at least have half the profit
Some kid: **gets a fursuit made of a character they don't own** The owner of the character after finding out about that fursuit twin: *I did not consent to this.*
My dad says when I get older whatever I want, if it's expensive, like a couple thousand dollars(i.e. a car, or a fursuit), if I come up with half the price, dad will come up with the other half. So if I get scammed out of potentially $3000 +, I'll have my dad at my back
I just remembered that I had a kangaroo costume When I was 5 years old and I was inspired to do a Sodaroo fursona and a Fursuit :D It's has to be BLUE, blue is the best color! Sorry if there was any writing errors, I'm from Finland and I don't speak english very well
I’ve had the issue with drawing a customer’s character that wasn’t theirs!! The person that own the character contacted me and was sweet enough to allow me to keep using the drawing as an example on my portfolio, of course with credit to their character! Be carful out there!! ❤️
I have a friend that has 2 fursuits, the first being her sona. She was looking for an artist to make her 2nd one, and she found one that offered everything she wanted, decent price, and was an adorable style. she was looking through the gallery and saw her fursona. She was really heartbroken. :( thanks for making a post about this!
I haven't been on FA for like a year.I can't get the damn site to work. Before I broke my computer I asked for a quote. I felt bad at first.had no way com contacting them to tell them why I never answered back. But then they tracked me down on other sites to lash back at me.Honestly harassed me. I told them the situation, but they didnt care.i dont like to take shit & thats all they were throwing out.Decided I just didn't want something from them no matter how much I liked the way they did things. Such a mean person, kinda creepy too since I literally had no links from my personal social media & my furry social media. They contacted me on both. Now, I don't like it when people don't answere back on quotes. But harassment over a quote is pretty shitty ¬ at all ok.
Wow, not at all okay is little said, that person blew it wayy out of proportion! I feel bad you had to go through this,I really hope you will have only better experiences now :c Have a good day!
thankfully i was never scammed, but my friends were. they both ordered ref sheets, and when they didn't get them after a while and asked for a refund, the artist was like "oh well i don't do refunds". it wasn't in their tos, so when i asked them about that, they quickly added it :/
I’m new to the fandom and starting to take off with commissions, and all this information is INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. THANK. YOU. I’m so glad I saw this before I officially released commissions, your videos are always so informative and useful! ^_^
I've been watching your videos for the past few weeks. These give real good advice since I'm thinking about getting a fursuit and I'm getting ready to go to a fur con. Thanks so much. Here's a question. What is the best fursuit bits for beginners (partials(paws, tail)etc)
AAAAAA- I see your videos and get so hyped!! They are very helpful and not to mention with a great amount of humor/laughs. Thank you so so much for these!! May you have a great day, Poci!! Edit: not to mention, your thumbnails are pure art 👌
I actually had a friend who bought a second hand fursuit that was altered used as a murrsuit before he received it and it was still filthy. He mailed it right back, and got his money back through PayPal.
Had so many issues with this! Someone tried to commission Mushi Magic Suits to remake my fursuit Decon (made by FarukuCostumes) in a toony style - thankfully this maker is amazing and contacted me to check as they felt something was off. They then blacklisted the person. I have also had people make artwork from stolen photos of my suit and try to sell it as ‘artist interpretations’ to claim as their own. So yeah, this happens!
I did pay friends and family to an artist recently but it was someone I knew from a separate fandom.and knew they were legit Their artwork was beautiful 😍 Edit: I recently had a scammer push me to commission them for art They tried hitting on me when i refused 😂
7:51 I've seen so many people on the furry amino doing this!!! Omg I need to do something! Good thing I watched this video because I almost bought an artwork of that
Wow! :o Thats crazy. I had fur suit heads (mostly make when feeling the inspiration/passion) and most of my buyers were 12year girls. And most of them buy the item (didn't pay) but, they did it without their parents knowing. I was surprised and little annoyed as it is a waste of time. But they still got sold to happy homes and to 12-14 year kids :p
Thank you so much for this :D gonna add a little more advice for commissioning art, communication! I commissioned an artist to redesign a fursona of mine and three weeks later I've had no email update from them, thankfully only lost a little money but if you don't get regular updates that's usually a bad sign so always ask the artist to keep communications open. I'm gonna use this video in the near future when I hopefully start looking for a fursuit maker :D
the first few minutes of this video made me realize how narrowly i might have dodged a scam. i was purchasing my current mascot design (the one in my profile picture!) and the person was asking me to cover the fee via sending by friends and family. because i am sort of a cheapskate and i didn't want to pay more than i had to i told them i would but i didn't and i sent it by the service option. they seemed a bit peeved about it. o___o really happy i did end up getitng my boy and not getting scammed....
This is invaluable advice Pocari. Thank you so much for taking the time to post it. I've actually saved this video as a handy reference guide. Much love and respect from a friendly Raven. ^v^
I did art for someone on Furry Amino, I was asked to help make a character in trade for an adoptable, I made a sketch and showed them, I received the adopt, couple days later they were banned so I set out to search for her owner and was notified that the adoptable I had was seen around multiple times. So I set out to find his original owner. I found them and I was able to keep the adoptable, I decided to also keep the character I created since they do not have the finished picture only the sketch. Thanks for making these points Pocari
An artist I commissioned a pretty expensive ref from, got scammed by a fursuit maker that was gonna make their partial suit, so they unfortunately had to refund all of their customers and left the fandom :( They lost like $1500. I hope they are doing ok financially, because they did really economically bad when I commissioned them :3
I got fanart of my character and unfortunately the art was traced, and boy the coloring was so good I never noticed until I found the image that was traced! I saw the artist who have the fanart had a completely different style but I was young then and didn't think much of it.
THANK YOU! I'm always so nervous to buy commissions or other things using Paypal because I've heard many cases of scamming happening and it terrifies me. This video with red flags and tips and tricks really help me with feeling more confident getting a commission done. Thank you!
Ive seen things like this too, it's usually up that low for saving slots for the commission, but when you click.the page it normally will give their actual prices.
Hey Pocari!!! My name is Spork and I am starting a RUclips channel for Fursuit Cons,Tutorials,Speed Builds and much more!! You are my biggest inspiration EVER and I wanted to thank you for shedding light on this fandom!
Yeah definitely guilty of not understanding ownership at first, but i did fix it before anything was actually made. I looked around found the owner asked if I could make a suit they loved the idea so permission granted yay:)
I have a question, what if you are a maker and the buyer waits to pay off the commission and then all of the sudden when they say they’ll pay it off and just send the suit to them but they just run off without paying? (This has never happened to me but I’m worried it will)
Definitely don't let people pay after you're entirely done with the suit! Some makers have their customers pay in little chunks over time ($20-$50) or even half upfront. I'm not sure I'd recommend asking them to pay you upfront, in case something happens where you need to spend a lot of money (ex: medical emergency) or you lose interest for a while, but the other two options I feel are much safer than putting your whole trust into the customer.
Actually, all you guys are wrong. She uploads in the US morning, but it takes a while until the video renders. She can't control when the video actually uploads.
Actually, she uploads the video a few days before she makes it public so that her patreon supporters can view the video early. She then can decide at what time the video goes live to everyone.
Hey poccari, I can’t draw and I found some free fursona bases on google. Can I use them if I ever commission? (Not a Q and A quiestion I commented this cus it’s on topic)
I do trace but not the way it's normally used context wise,I draw my art on paper first then go to idsipaint and import a picture of the drawing on a layer and draw it digitally on a different one,the closest thing I done to immoral tracing is using a base from Google.
I do actually trace from time to time and color it to get a better understanding of how to draw it but i always do these things: Never upload it, have the artists permissions, never claim it.
I am considered a "Really young fur" but at least I make my own art (Boston in my profile pic is my character who I made). I made myself a suit. Fellow young furs, stop, your giving us a bad name.
Thanks for those many advices! Also what I experienced: Always ask specifically, what you will get as an end result! Especially when it comes to artwork. I comissioned one day someone, who on their profile had such amazing artwork wich wasn't fake and that person offered a ych with background. I was like "woah, sure, 55 bucks is okay for the quality" but then just got a simply lined artwork back which wasn't far as good as the normal drawing the person make... yeahh.... always making good researches when it comes to that...
oh boy... do i have an experience to tell yall (if people even visit this vid anymore oof) i was on Amino (castle cats amino) and this new member who followed me and some other people invited us to a chat with them i'll call this new member "Pumpy" (since that's the castle cats character their profile picture reminded me of) Eventually, after a while, Pumpy took me and the other main person (who i'll call "Sax") into a group chat that Sax asked to be made. in the group chat, Sax started asking questions about Pumpy's picture (which, when i looked, was super clearly stolen!!) i noticed that and started asking too, but Pumpy denied every single claim. we eventually got the LT involved and i've not heard from Pumpy or Sax since the situation was solved.
If you're a fursuit maker and you're working with minors, ask to have a video chat via Skype with them and their parents stating their approval and record it for proof. Of course explain the reason you need to proceed this way, if they're legit, they'll understand. If they don't agree (no matter what excuse they use), it's a scam. Always be wary of any client and don't stray from your routine checks, be clear and firm about payment deadlines. Taking commissions of anything is the same as running a business, so you have to be professional. You'll always run into weird cases no matter what, but the best you can do is be prepared !
2:10 the fees come out the money sent over. It’s always good to be aware of the fees cuz I’ve commissioned an artist before where neither one of us was aware of the amount of fees on PayPal sending money overseas was and I ended up having to pay more. I had to look up if there were fees on that and there were so I personally have to adjust my own commission fees for that. It sucks but as long as you’re aware of it it shouldn’t be an issue.
I know one you didn’t say this is for a buyer basically the maker / scammer will have a pre made with loads of great reviews but when they send it , it won’t come and the scammer will lose contact but out of nowhere says some story and scams you again I heard this happened once not sure if it was a big thing
Problems of loving an AUS RUclipsr but you live in Ohio and iTS 2:47AM BUT POCCARI UPLOADED A NEW VIDEO SO HEYY WHO NEED SLEEP?! (also lol my username and what I just said hah) Edit: also for full bodies for $5 is what in gonna start commissions for 😂 I've been doing art for a while and I'm pretty confident in it so heyy starting commissions soon on my Twitter. (Psst it's May_Booher4231 if you want cheap art that's not stolen or traced sometime in December)
Some know their parents will probably say "No" and try to get away with it. Honestly I think the parents should let the money go through to teach their kid a lesson. The maker could maybe (and yes I do mean maybe) change things up for it to be a "different" character/suit.
I’ve had three cases of someone using my pictures of suits I’ve done and trying to scam others, luckily no one has been scammed. But it’s crazy that people do that kind of stuff. It’s ridiculous and awful.
Just Another Gamer Yes it is!! If you have to take someone else's art, take it and copy it on your own art, then it's stealing, and it's really bad. Try to look at real life pictures to reference. But NEVER use someone else's art. Even if it is just a small part. It's really rude and disrespectful.
When it coms to the stolen fursuit images and knockoffs, I looked on eBay for cheap second best parts or things I could use for props. On the first page, there was a dozen stolen images, most of Quartz Husky and even one of Fluke
Just a few weeks ago I got featured on furry amino, and somebody took my art, messaged random people on a platform im not on claiming they drew it, asked if they would like a commission, and charged 5x the actual amount i sell for. So many people messaged me asking for the drawing they ordered and it was just so heartbreaking to tell them that they got scammed

MIRROR_IMAGE Fursuits That's awful, maybe you should make a marking on the sona that says your name or something about you.
That sucks, I'm sorry that happened :/ hopefully you'll figure something out
Also your pfp is a blessing lol
Yikes
So, did everything go well?
Oh jeez, that sucks. I feel bad for you. Is everything alright now? That comment is 2 years old, just wanted to make sure everything's sorted out now.
Unfortunately my best friend got scammed a lot on fury amino.
That sight is full of scammers, i think this video will help her a lot
I Have the furry amino too, and i don't suggest buying anything from there. bunch of kids make these characters that they draw and try to sell them as adoptables. smh...
Furry Amino is very strict. I was called out for tracing two times by people who stole my art. Both of them were larger accounts with plenty more followers. One had even gotten someone,Wangle, banned.
I was framed and accused of scamming there many times
It was all by MUTE, who i always held a grudge at for a long while. Now i re discovered her and i cannot stay mad forever.
And fury amino? Is that for rage-filled people lol
I just had a commissioner so paranoid about being scammed that they charged back on my account and took their money back when I didn't finish the suit in 3 months (which is v fast um)
may I add that it was almost done and would've been shipping in a week of their charge back
Finish the suit and sell it online, at least your work won't be completely wasted.
@@tabbycat0870 if it's custom then you can't really sell it since it's off their character but the design can be alter and sold as a premade
You do commissions? What are your prices? I may be interested in buying ^^

This includes fursuits and artwork

Golden Retriever why did u duplicate your comment?
Kiwi Kups Oh hey! I’m not the only one who noticed! Sometimes when I reply to a comment, it duplicates and I have to delete one. Maybe something similar happened here?
I'm sorry- didn't you post this before?
I was just scammed out of a partial that had been in peogress for a month... then i was ghosted then blocked.. i didnt pay yet thank God but im heart broken over here and i dont know what i did wrong
It’s a rough world
I don't think you did anything wrong, I think they couldn't be bothered.
you didnt do anything wrong, it was completely them
I got scammed out of $200 for a faux fur lot and never got it but they used a temporary email for their paypal so even though I paid for goods and services they couldnt refund me.
Thalia The Corgi I feel for you but the irony is the word "faux" means fake in French.
Dillon Cookson
We call it faux fur because it's not a really animal fur xD it's not because it was a scam, almost all furs you can buy are called "faux". Faux in English is another word for fake xD
Dustfeather I didn't know exactly but knew it was something to do with being fake fur. I just thought it was ironic.
if someone was scamed and bought my sona and they told me about it id take pity and try to make them a new character thats very simular.
or
i would be even nicer and help them get the money back
Dannie Daniell I would give them my sona IF there is proof that they paid for my sona
Honestly I would ask them to change the name and Watermelon would have an identical twin.
AHHHH The rainbow Hyena-Agenda shirt is amazing!
I own their Banana cream version and black sweatshirt versions
my fursona has the same name and is the same species
Maybe the moldy fursuit head actually grew legs and ran off o.o
Kruzthewolf O.o creepy
Ahhh I did not even realize you used my lineart for this video until some I know pointed it out :'D Thank you so much though!! It means a lot to see any type of artwork of mine on a video, especially from such a well-known figure!!
Which art
Yeah which art?
Hmm funny someone stole my art today and had an awesome talk with that person >:[
Chroma Wolf I had someone steal my fursona, barely had them for a month too. I was pissed.
1st- Hi! I know you from Furry Amino!
2nd- I'm so sorry that happened to you. Did you get your art back?
Nilla yup
Chroma Wolf ooooooooo I wanna know what happened!! Pls tell me!
@@AntlersAndAcorns if someone stole my fursonas I'd freak because I'm so attached

I commissioned an artist on amino for a bundle (5 icons, a fullbody, a bust, a glitch icon and a custom) and a day later their account was deleted ;~;
Trying to fix it with PayPal now
It's also good to do some extra research into a buyer's age (for suit makers). I was about to accept a down payment from a fur who claimed they were 16, my personal minimum age to buy a partial. They let slip that they were actually 12, and proceeded to try and guilt me into taking their commission anyway. Be safe everyone!
Why tho? I plan on getting a fursuit at 11.
@@-tylerrodgers-The main reason is probably to avoid any messy situations with a child stealing their parents credit card
I'm thinking about being a fursuit maker, what do I do if someone wants me to make an already made fursuit? Like a Majira Strawberry suit?
Decline the commission, and educate them as to why you had to. Then hopefully they'll understand and come back with their own character!
Yup yup. Rule of thumb on any artwork. If your not Comfortable, no matter what, tell them no.They should respect your decision on that.
If they don't want to make a fursona for themselves, then you can reccomend they buy a pre-designed fursuit.
Decline them! You can decline commissions for many reasons including: Age, Design, Species, Stolen Character and so much more.
Tell them about copyrights and fair use
Somebody once tried to sell Starlight on a Facebook group I wasn't a part of apparently @-@

Whenever I make a commission, I make the buyer give me half the money before I start on it. I then hand them a blurry version of the finished piece before getting all the money.
I haven't made many commissions but I think this is the way to go. Even if you, the seller gets scammed, you can at least have half the profit
Some kid: **gets a fursuit made of a character they don't own**
The owner of the character after finding out about that fursuit twin: *I did not consent to this.*
Sorry if there was any writing errors, I'm from Finland and I don't speak english very well
Well your English turned out pretty well!
I went over a couple times and not a single spelling error. Good job!

I’ve had the issue with drawing a customer’s character that wasn’t theirs!! The person that own the character contacted me and was sweet enough to allow me to keep using the drawing as an example on my portfolio, of course with credit to their character! Be carful out there!! ❤️
The dislike on this video is from a scammer most likely XD
Wakaran probably not. probably some dumbass who subscribed to dislike it
Wakaran I agree
They can be scammers or haters
Wakaran true

I feel bad you had to go through this,I really hope you will have only better experiences now :c Have a good day!
thankfully i was never scammed, but my friends were.
they both ordered ref sheets, and when they didn't get them after a while and asked for a refund, the artist was like "oh well i don't do refunds".
it wasn't in their tos, so when i asked them about that, they quickly added it :/
wow. some people just suck.
AAAAAA-
I see your videos and get so hyped!! They are very helpful and not to mention with a great amount of humor/laughs. Thank you so so much for these!!
May you have a great day, Poci!!
Edit: not to mention, your thumbnails are pure art 👌
Here is what the thumbnail makes me think of: "Roses are red, paper is blank, Russians in fursuits caught robbing a bank".
I actually had a friend who bought a second hand fursuit that was altered used as a murrsuit before he received it and it was still filthy. He mailed it right back, and got his money back through PayPal.
Glad to hear that one ended well, I've heard many other stories of people selling suits and not disclosing they were are murrsuit 🤢
UM. I'm sorry, your friend got a suit that had been through... adult stuff??
Had so many issues with this! Someone tried to commission Mushi Magic Suits to remake my fursuit Decon (made by FarukuCostumes) in a toony style - thankfully this maker is amazing and contacted me to check as they felt something was off. They then blacklisted the person. I have also had people make artwork from stolen photos of my suit and try to sell it as ‘artist interpretations’ to claim as their own. So yeah, this happens!

World Market loves sending free email updates!
I did pay friends and family to an artist recently but it was someone I knew from a separate fandom.and knew they were legit
Their artwork was beautiful 😍
Edit:
I recently had a scammer push me to commission them for art
They tried hitting on me when i refused 😂
7:51 I've seen so many people on the furry amino doing this!!! Omg I need to do something! Good thing I watched this video because I almost bought an artwork of that
the fact that you mentioned reverse image search tempts me to see if anyone has stolen my art before
My notifications are failing me.... I'm an hour late.... but still... I love you pocari potato!

It's 1:50 in the freaking morning on September freaking 24. IM TIRED. UPLOAD IN THE DAY!!!! Good video bro. Good tips🙂
She lives in Australia so her timezone is very different from most places
Actually, all you guys are wrong. She uploads in the US morning, but it takes a while until the video renders. She can't control when the video actually uploads.
Actually, she uploads the video a few days before she makes it public so that her patreon supporters can view the video early. She then can decide at what time the video goes live to everyone.

I was in an art trade 4 MONTHS AGO and I haven’t gotten my art.
Man. I couldn’t afford something to be scammed.
Hey poccari, I can’t draw and I found some free fursona bases on google. Can I use them if I ever commission? (Not a Q and A quiestion I commented this cus it’s on topic)
Those 11 dislikes are scammers who just got exposed! XD
I do trace but not the way it's normally used context wise,I draw my art on paper first then go to idsipaint and import a picture of the drawing on a layer and draw it digitally on a different one,the closest thing I done to immoral tracing is using a base from Google.
That one dislike is a scammer
I’m watching this while making my dinomasks claws so I love watching pocaris vids while making him ♥️ love you pocari

I do actually trace from time to time and color it to get a better understanding of how to draw it but i always do these things: Never upload it, have the artists permissions, never claim it.
That's rad
I am considered a "Really young fur" but at least I make my own art (Boston in my profile pic is my character who I made). I made myself a suit. Fellow young furs, stop, your giving us a bad name.
Thanks for those many advices!
Also what I experienced: Always ask specifically, what you will get as an end result!
Especially when it comes to artwork.
I comissioned one day someone, who on their profile had such amazing artwork wich wasn't fake and that person offered a ych with background. I was like "woah, sure, 55 bucks is okay for the quality" but then just got a simply lined artwork back which wasn't far as good as the normal drawing the person make...
yeahh.... always making good researches when it comes to that...
i love your videos so much
Okay I have a question, I have a sona ref sheet for MY USE ONLY that I used free lines for, is that bad?
Will if it’s a free lines it should be fine as long as you credit, the artist who made the free lines

Glow sticks o3o
oh boy... do i have an experience to tell yall (if people even visit this vid anymore oof)
i was on Amino (castle cats amino) and this new member who followed me and some other people invited us to a chat with them
i'll call this new member "Pumpy" (since that's the castle cats character their profile picture reminded me of)
Eventually, after a while, Pumpy took me and the other main person (who i'll call "Sax") into a group chat that Sax asked to be made.
in the group chat, Sax started asking questions about Pumpy's picture (which, when i looked, was super clearly stolen!!)
i noticed that and started asking too, but Pumpy denied every single claim.
we eventually got the LT involved and i've not heard from Pumpy or Sax since the situation was solved.
It sucks but as long as you’re aware of it it shouldn’t be an issue.
ive seen kids selling fursuits out of cardboard CARDBOARD!! of course they didnt know any better but its sad none the less
roboninja saur
It's so dangerous for the health of the customers D: I'm happy people know about that and actually disapprove those!
I know right!
That sounds like something Ed, Edd, n Eddy would do.
I gave a picture of my fursona to someone that said that they could make the paws for me then they stole the drawing. :(
Aw that sucks, maybe put a watermark that’s over the drawing but transparent
Pocari i bet you voted yes! 😉
I know one you didn’t say this is for a buyer basically the maker / scammer will have a pre made with loads of great reviews but when they send it , it won’t come and the scammer will lose contact but out of nowhere says some story and scams you again I heard this happened once not sure if it was a big thing

I would commission you, but 1 I don't have any money yet (my grandma is gonna work on getting me a PayPal card), and 2 I don't have Twitter
8:41 you said "if you two-" HOW DID YOU KNOW THERE WAS TWO OF US!?
Wtf why would minors do that?! I always talk to my mom before I buy a fursuit!
Some know their parents will probably say "No" and try to get away with it. Honestly I think the parents should let the money go through to teach their kid a lesson. The maker could maybe (and yes I do mean maybe) change things up for it to be a "different" character/suit.
Yeah XD I’m a minor and I’m currently saving up for a suit by petsitting. Money isn’t that hard to get. I’m also getting money by helping teachers.
I’ve had three cases of someone using my pictures of suits I’ve done and trying to scam others, luckily no one has been scammed. But it’s crazy that people do that kind of stuff. It’s ridiculous and awful.
Is it still bad if you can't draw tails on your own so you copy someone else's? Because I can't draw tails or paws to save my life.
Just Another Gamer
Yes it is!! If you have to take someone else's art, take it and copy it on your own art, then it's stealing, and it's really bad. Try to look at real life pictures to reference. But NEVER use someone else's art. Even if it is just a small part. It's really rude and disrespectful.
Okay, thanks. I was curious about it. You can't even tell because of how bad a draw tails (I draw traditional)
Thanks, and I do just take small details, not the full tail.
Just Another Gamer
As long as toujours draw the whole thing by yourself without tracing ANYTHING... it's fine :)
Yeah, I refuse to trace. I'll look at it to get the shape, but I will never trace or steal.
