Saturday was my first day as a fursuiter. I made my own fursuit so it was more special to me. I have sociophobia and I am really scared of people watching me, but when I was inside my fursuit all problems were gone for that moment. I have never been so happy in my life. And I made many people smile. So big pro for me: you can be yourself and you can make people smile

I don't fursuit, but I do know that overheating can be a huge con. Especially during summer time, which often is when people like to go out and fursuit. Just please stay hydrated babies!!! 💕

Today I made a cardboard head for fun and it's the first time I have made anything like this and I made a moving jaw too. It's pretty fun! I am too young to have a professional head but I can enjoy this while it lasts. My father likes it too! Just imagine a crappy cardboard head made by a person whose never made a head before and no eyes... yup...

The first fursuit I made (my fursona, Sera, a partial), like Adezu, is also a sweaty death-trap. I wore 1.0 to London Comic-Con (I wasn’t brave enough to wear it to MEFCC, you get sweaty in even the lightest cosplay there). Overheated in about 10 minutes, but I did meet 2 lovely suiters and made someone’s day. About 6 months later I did a rap in 1.5 (even worse due to having a bigger muzzle) at my school’s talent competition. I took off the suit in between performances, and by the 4th and final rendition I had become braver and was jumping all over the stage for the 4 minute performance, by the time it was over I was half dead and gasping for air. Carve out the muzzle fellow first-time makers, just do it.

Fursuit con: Don't wear them when you've got even a little bit of a cold. I haven't been able to wear my suit in two weeks as just taking three steps OUT of suit robs me of all my breath and I'll be panting like I've been running for hours. I put my head on for a few minutes a few days ago out of stubbornness.....and then I ripped it off because I couldn't breathe Q-Q

I would definitely recommend looking at their past work before commissioning them. They definitely put in a good effort but the heads do appear to be just a bit lopsided, so make sure that it's not enough to bother you.
Number 2 happened to me, though it made my year! I saw people public suiting for the first time in my life!!! And I got to say hi to them in the car my mom was driving in. They said hi and waved back! Life changing UwU

... This may be a little un related but seeing as this video is talking about fur-suits I've decided to make a list of the stores and the items i used to make my fur-suit. Hobby lobby -Foams -hella bunch of glue sticks -plastic buckram Joann's fabrics -quality fur Walmart -shoes -PJ pants -jacket Keep in mind that if you are making your fur-suit you might want to use some tutorials and that different fur-suits may need different stores depending on certain fur colors or if you either don't have one of the stores where you live or if it doesn't carry what you need.
@@moriaheastside2831 update, you don't want to use a jacket it gets really hot. I suggest you make your suit from scratch. This means making a ducktape dummy, and sowing a suit together. (i know it's work but its better than heat exhaustion.)

a HUGE pro for me, is the fact that I can be outgoing in my partial. I have bad anxiety, and can't talk/interact with people well, but...when I'm in my partial, I find it's a LOT easier to be outgoing! It's like, as soon as i put on the head, all of my fears and anxiety goes away, and I get to run around and be fluffy, and just a h h h h h h h h, I love it!!!
One of the best parts for me is that since I'm making my own suit, when it's finished I get to wear my own artwork and express myself with my own creation. :)
I really want to commission my character to be made into a suit, and I want to get the suit made by deerinahat but another con you didnt list, which kinda mixes in with waiting is having to wait for the makers to open for commissions
I’m 13 and my full body fur suit is coming in 2 months and I know about the lack of vision and breathing and drinking water, it doesn’t look that hard to walk in them and stuff but I still asked my mum to be my temporary handler 😂 Also I can’t go fur suiting in a park because there’s mean kids I know that go to my high school and they’re not nice at all…
im just going to buy the very extremities of my character first, so just tail, wings and ears, it will still be quite fun(not as fun) but it wont be hot, not very hard to transport and much cheaper than a full suit. one day i might get a partial suit but that wont be for a long time. :)

A big con of having a fursuit with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (HEDS) is how long you can stay in suit. I work out regularly to keep strengthening my back, shoulders, and hips so I can stay out longer, but my sister, who has it worse than me, can only stay about 10-15 minutes outdoors before coming to the point of exhaustion and pain. But, it's all worth it in the end. All the sweatiness, soreness- it's amazing to make peoples days and have so much fun! We (my sis and I) have been blessed to find the furry community, it's a creative outlet while at the same time giving us a way to make money from art and get regular exercise. Welp, this is what I know about MadeFurYou. Head only: 1500 to 2500 (markings, eyes, jaw, and other.) Partial: (full only) 2500 to 4000 (markings, paws.) Full plantigrate: 3000 to 5000 (markings, head, type.) Full didgitigrate: 4000 to 7000 (markings, head type, type.)
My (2nd) fursona is a 6'3 (yeah, she is T A L L) gray female kolbold with a predator-like wrist-blade on her right arm. An interaction with her would go something like this: She pulls out her wrist-blade as soon as you speak to her, hopefully you prepared your last will and testament if you approach her because she'll rip out your guts if you come any closer to her. On the battlefield well, she'll look something like the doom slayer in hell. She is meant to embody my temper in a way and how I have violent outbursts when I get irritated enough, and I talking punching the person irritating me Instead of yelling in frustration like most people.
I've never worn a fursuit (I'm very new to the fandom, right now I'm just planning) but I can understand that the suit can get hot as Hell (not literally)
I’m making a piece fur suit which is head paws and tail, the price for the supplies was about 80$ for the fur and foam, and 20$ for the other stuff like wire and padding
Lol I was about to say like 86 degrees isn't really cold but it's not to hot either. I live in Houston and sometimes it gets up to 116 degrees and we still have fun.

Have you ever thought of using a space bag for the body of Pocari, for con travel. It sucks the air out of the bag and makes the content smaller inside, don't worry though when you open it back up the content inside goes right back to normal without misshaping anything. I use them for my plush toys all the time, even for long period of time to make more space in my room and they always come back out the same way i put them in. It just an idea though, thought it help to save space for you. There's people that do that for their suits, I plan on doing it myself when I get mine. I don't plan on using it for the head, I rather carry that personally.
If you don’t have room for ur clothes (idk if u already do this) but you can put clothes either in a bag then in the head or just put them into the head and paws,

Another con is that you don't use your suit every other day. Usually, you'll use it for conventions(which on their own are expensive, especially if they're far away), a few meets every once in a while, and if you suit in public(this might not happen that often since people have jobs and when they get breaks, they like to sleep or something else, so it's hard to sometimes find time or a handler for public suiting)
THIS IS TO EVERYONE WHO PAYS TOO MUCH FOR A FURSUIT: i made mine out of lego's, if you add A LOT of joints and black or blue pins, it actually becomes very strong to carry and move around in. and it doesn't becomes hot cause... IT IS LEGO'S. btw, i just used mindstorms education edetion and its expention set (it was like mayby €600 or 640,23$) and i have a lot of bricks left. it will never burn down. i can add motors, sensors and programable stuff very easy. it is just head and tail. if i take the head off, i still have some cute little ears (i love them). I can fold them so that they only take like a square meter. i also DON'T NEED TO DO ANY CLEANING. downsides: it is too heavy (it is easily 10kg or 22 000 POUNDS) to wear for more then 2 hours and it is AN ACTUAL HELL TO PUT IT ON. I need to move in slow-motion because i will break the lego pins because of the presuere.
for travel what I would do is put a little note on top of everything inside the suitcase or whatever it's being carried in saying something like: "Careful, this is worth $3,000!" or however much your suit costs and hope that they believe you and take it seriously

I get hot really hard! I dont live in a hot area but i always wear a hoodie, in school, at home, outside, etc... so the only hard thing for me about fursuiting is that I dont have one.....

Elope's fursuit heads have really good ventilation. They don't make paws or bodysuits though.

my fursona is a black wolf with black hair tipped in red and a long tail also tipped in red plus he also wears a white bandanna but i don't think that the maker will have to make that (I'll just buy it form somewhere) so yeah if anyone has a good idea of how much that is - wolfie

It depends,, do you want a partial? Full suit? Digitigrade? Plantigrade? Does your maker need a dtd? Do your research lmao
Welp, this is what I know about MadeFurYou.
Head only: 1500 to 2500 (markings, eyes, jaw, and other.)
Partial: (full only) 2500 to 4000 (markings, paws.)
Full plantigrate: 3000 to 5000 (markings, head, type.)
Full didgitigrate: 4000 to 7000 (markings, head type, type.)
My (2nd) fursona is a 6'3 (yeah, she is T A L L) gray female kolbold with a predator-like wrist-blade on her right arm. An interaction with her would go something like this:
She pulls out her wrist-blade as soon as you speak to her, hopefully you prepared your last will and testament if you approach her because she'll rip out your guts if you come any closer to her. On the battlefield well, she'll look something like the doom slayer in hell. She is meant to embody my temper in a way and how I have violent outbursts when I get irritated enough, and I talking punching the person irritating me Instead of yelling in frustration like most people.
I just finished my fursuit and went to a meet in it
when my mother came to check on me I was drenched in sweat

I can't get a fursuit for health reasons, but it would be so cool to have my characters come to life.
I've never worn a fursuit (I'm very new to the fandom, right now I'm just planning) but I can understand that the suit can get hot as Hell (not literally)

I’m making a piece fur suit which is head paws and tail, the price for the supplies was about 80$ for the fur and foam, and 20$ for the other stuff like wire and padding
I'm waiting for a head base for my quadsuit to arrive it's going to ship from Lithuania on the 20th September ahhhh I can't wait

Lol I was about to say like 86 degrees isn't really cold but it's not to hot either. I live in Houston and sometimes it gets up to 116 degrees and we still have fun.

I saw a dutchie at a pride parade last year. It was amazing cause I was just starting in the furry fandom and already saw an awesome suit!

Have you ever thought of using a space bag for the body of Pocari, for con travel. It sucks the air out of the bag and makes the content smaller inside, don't worry though when you open it back up the content inside goes right back to normal without misshaping anything. I use them for my plush toys all the time, even for long period of time to make more space in my room and they always come back out the same way i put them in.
It just an idea though, thought it help to save space for you. There's people that do that for their suits, I plan on doing it myself when I get mine. I don't plan on using it for the head, I rather carry that personally.

Yeah! It's fine! Just tell whoever you commission if you do your age, so they don't get confused.
OmniverseAgent I think people would pick you up a lot, or think your cute and play with you. I bet you would make a good bunny though :P

If you don’t have room for ur clothes (idk if u already do this) but you can put clothes either in a bag then in the head or just put them into the head and paws,

Cuz I subbed I get notifications. Me and my bff loaf u and when u release a new vids. When I see my bff at school I tell her and then we run around the playground screaming POCARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Another con is that you don't use your suit every other day. Usually, you'll use it for conventions(which on their own are expensive, especially if they're far away), a few meets every once in a while, and if you suit in public(this might not happen that often since people have jobs and when they get breaks, they like to sleep or something else, so it's hard to sometimes find time or a handler for public suiting)

THIS IS TO EVERYONE WHO PAYS TOO MUCH FOR A FURSUIT:
i made mine out of lego's, if you add A LOT of joints and black or blue pins, it actually becomes very strong to carry and move around in. and it doesn't becomes hot cause... IT IS LEGO'S. btw, i just used mindstorms education edetion and its expention set (it was like mayby €600 or 640,23$) and i have a lot of bricks left. it will never burn down. i can add motors, sensors and programable stuff very easy. it is just head and tail. if i take the head off, i still have some cute little ears (i love them). I can fold them so that they only take like a square meter. i also DON'T NEED TO DO ANY CLEANING.
downsides:
it is too heavy (it is easily 10kg or 22 000 POUNDS) to wear for more then 2 hours and it is AN ACTUAL HELL TO PUT IT ON. I need to move in slow-motion because i will break the lego pins because of the presuere.
I am thankful enough to be used to be used to high heat. It’s over 100 degrees Fahrenheit most of the year.
I saw some at the renaissance festival once it was cool
for travel what I would do is put a little note on top of everything inside the suitcase or whatever it's being carried in saying something like: "Careful, this is worth $3,000!" or however much your suit costs and hope that they believe you and take it seriously

In Arizona, temperatures that you would feel in suit would be a normal temperature. Around 90-120 degrees in summer.
I get hot really hard! I dont live in a hot area but i always wear a hoodie, in school, at home, outside, etc... so the only hard thing for me about fursuiting is that

I have social anxiety, but when I wear fursuits, my anxiety diminishes. I can't wait until my fursuit head is finished!
I'm still looking for "the" maker for my character. There are so many good makers out there, but I like to pick someone who has experience with the species or something similar
