As someone who would love to play with resin and make my own resin pieces I also can't afford to get resin that won't work for me and then waste my money trying to figure out which ones will work for what I want. So I appreciate videos like yours hearing about your experience with different ones in different ways as well and I enjoy your commentary throughout the process too.
I use Let’s Resin & let me tell you, if your space was warm you would have zero bubbles… I rarely get micro bubbles in let’s resin and I work in about 72 to 74° steadily. It is the absolute best for molds and jewelry making, hands-down! It hardens up as well. 👍🏻
hahaha, that was driving me nuts! Once I heard it, I couldn't concentrate on the video content, I was just waiting for her to say that again!! hahaha great video though.
Thank you for your honest review Heather. :) I love Puduo. I'm a member of their engagement team. My best tip to get less bubbles is to warm both parts of Puduo up a bit before mixing. Works like a charm. - Love, VintagyFabulous
I've been using Puduo. I placed both bottles in a warm bath for 3 min or until it's a bit thinner, then mix the desired 1:1 ratio. No problems with bubbles.
Thank you for testing. I love unicorn resin. I would really think this would be a better comparison if you knew what the were rated for hardness and uv protection. To me hardness and how they yellow is most important
This is your first video I have seen and ohh boy your videos are amazing and now I am mad at myself for not finding you earlier it would have been so useful when I first started resin
Mold release i have found helps micro bubbles not stick to mold sides.. Super Great experiment. Thanks for what you do for us. You are a special person and great teacher. Take care love. Hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙
Art n Glow hates cold. It has to be warm or babysat with heat until it starts curing. Best thing I've found to do is warm up the bottles in water first.
I love how I was in my office doing resin projects thinking about trying out a new resin and this video comes on! I love this. Thank you. So informative
This was super helpful, thank you. Humidity is the worst for resin, and that is the one piece of info you would share...... I live in the Oregon valley, always high humidity here, and searching for a resin that is not so sensitive.
I recently decided to delve into resin and randomly choose a resin off Amazon. The one that I went with was Let’s Resin (3:1), because of price and ratings. I’ve literally NEVER done anything like this, but I have been thrilled with the results so far! Your video was really helpful to me and I’m now subscribed lol
I started crafting with Art n Glow and ALWAYS had so many bubbles. I even mixed slow and used my heat gun. I switched to Let’s Resin brand a few months ago & it was the best decision I’ve made!! I love that resin SOOO much it has made crafting with resin so much easier! The price is so affordable too which makes it even better. Thank you for making this video!
Love the comparison video. I will say that I personally started with Let's Resin and my pieces were gorgeous when I made them BUT a year later very yellow! Just what happened to me personally. if it has ink in it they still look great!
That’s helpful to know (if disappointing) about the yellowing. I’ve written to a few resin manufacturers and asked if they plan to add HALS to their recipe. (Uunlike UV light stabilisation - which merely delays yellowing rather than preventing it - HALS actually interrupts the yellowing process at the outset, making it much more difficult for yellowing to occur in the first place.)
Thank you so much for doing this video! I have primarily used Art N Glow and really struggled with both bubbles (despite using a heat gun to try and get rid of them) and recently noticed some yellowing over time. I always assumed I was doing something wrong and was getting rather frustrated. After watching this video I bought Let's Resin and it seems nearly effortless by comparison! All of my pieces look so much better and there are rarely bubbles in them. I also found the odor to be much less pungent with Let's Resin. My projects are so much more enjoyable now!
They where all pretty bubbley, and on the box the Lets Resin says no bubbles, I usually use counter culture too, but I needed it in a hurry and ordered Art Resin From amazon and I really like it, no smell, food safe and not alot of bubbles, and it doesnt heat up, like a jar, I can pour all in one pour and it cures really hard, Thanks for the comparison, great to know about the other resins,
I don’t get how she keeps saying it looks crystal clear when I can see a bunch of bubbles. It it just as good as can be expected? But it seems like usually her pieces don’t have bubbles.
Your makeup is always so inspiring and beautiful and fun! 💕 It matches your art and your energy. I was just thinking it would be so cool if you did the top of an end table, maybe a mirrored end table? I'm not sure if it would have to be separately attached, but how beautiful would a resin, flower, and ink table top be? I'd add glitter, but then I love sparkles anywhere I can get them. 💖
Love this idea so much...even the top of 2 bedside tables, no matter what the tables are made of(wood, glass, acrylic, metal). Wouldn't it look cool if the top was alcohol ink in resin?
when you started using those alcohol inks i realised i really missed you working on those kinds of projects lol. im talking about pieces with random alcohol ink patterns with like dried flowers, you havent done that in so long 😊
I really appreciate what you do for us. It sucks you have to preface this all with how much you're not trying to upset or offend anyone. Coz you KNOW if you didn't say it lol, someone would be hurt. I just love that you did this experiment. And you look flawless. Your new space looks good on you😘
Thank you for this video! I've always been curious about these resins from Amazon. I love all of your videos, been binge watching them and just purchased my first bottles of counter culture diy and I'm super excited to get started!
So much!!! When I first started using resin I wasted so much, because I would buy brands that were terrible to use and that would immediately yellow. Most of the resin I got rid of after only using it once--I am still haunted by this!
same i also have "panic molds" ready , just in case i have even a drop of resin too much so lets say i have .... a lot of mini shaker bits in various colors just because i dont waste even a drop xD
This makes me feel so much better! I’ve been beating myself up about how bubbly my pieces have been, but it’s clearly Art N Glow’s fault! Or rather, I should say, I didn’t take any of the extra steps some other commenters have suggested in order to minimize the bubbles with Art N Glow. I’m just sorry I bought a whole gallon of it 😞 I will say that the bubbles aren’t nearly as noticeable in Art N Glow with mica powder, so I’ll probably keep using it for color projects in the future. I’m also thinking that for something like a coaster, the bendability is super important, because a lot of my coasters have warped after one time putting a hot mug on them- I’d be curious to see how these 4 coasters wear with use, and how the flower cubes yellow (or not) over time. Can you add these 4 sets of products to your “looking back” series? Thank you SO much for this comparison, SUPER useful info for casual hobbyists like me!
This was brilliant for anyone wanting to start out and try, but making mistakes is how we learn. Have shared this video all the way to New Zealand as I had a friend visit today ( first friend I've seen in 14 months) and her eldest son is out there and fancies having a go, do from Canada /England /New Zealand your vidddeeeooo has traveled, don't you just love the Internet. Xxx
Thanks so much for doing the comparisons 😃 My sons always want to do more pieces when I’m crafting & I needed to find one that isn’t “mommy’s resin” for them to go at it with. I use a lot of let’s resin molds, so I guess their quality carries through the product line.
I'm so glad you did this! I'm new to resin and was using Art'N'glow per another users rec. I've been following all the proper steps and still ending up with a ton of microbubbles on edges and etchings no matter what I do and have been getting really frustrated with myself and feeling defeated. Now I won't feel bad about switching my resin, and hopefully it helps me create better pieces. Love you to absolute death, thank you so much!!!!
Art N Glow works like a dream when it's stored in a warm area. You do have to hang around and check for bubbles coming up for a while so you can hit it with a heat gun. It also has a pretty long working time so I generally pour it into a wide mouth silicone cup, hit it with some quick heat and wait about 5-10 minutes before I pour it. It's a learning curve but I have been really happy with it
I surprisingly love Let's Resin! It stands up to the UV yellowing test as well! I did not expect this from a cheaper resin. Little to no bubbles and wonderful for the ink petri effect! It is currently still my go-to!
So glad I saw this video. I’ve worked with art n glow and I also got lots of micro bubbles. I have let’s resin in my shopping cart and now I’m definitely buying it.
I'm new to resin molds, but started getting Let's Resin, and I have little to no issues with microbubbles. After I mix it I set the cup in hot tap water to get what bubbles there are to the surface, then kill them with a heat gun. I made a cutting board with clear resin and pressed flowers, and it is clear as a bell.
I used the PUDUO kind and I have to stir it all "SLOWLY" alot, about 5 minutes ...before using, then I let it sit about 5 minutes and it comes out really clear..no bubbles. I made a pyramid and put some small resin gems in I made . OMG 😲it's so clear and amazing. Thank you for sharing this great information 💯🤗😘👋🏽
I recently bought a gallon of Art N Glow, as I'd heard so much praise about it on RUclips. It was no better than the very cheap ($45/gallon) 'General Purpose' resin I had been using. I also noticed that it doesn't mix together easily - resin and hardener both swirl around in the cup together for a while. I always put my Part A in a cup of hot water before mixing it with Part B to make it thinner, which greatly reduces bubbles. I also use a pressure pot. Unicone Art makes a beautiful 'Crushed Crystal' that I use every chance I get. It's like a fine glitter, weighs absolutely nothing, but adds incredible sparkle. Thanks for the comparison.
Girl tku so much for putting out this video I been working with resin about 1 year I been going with bad ones but you saved me thank you again you are Awesome in all your work you do I 😁
Nothing I made with Art & Glow worked out! It was my first time with epoxy resin so, taking that into account and after seeing your tests I think it’s a crap product! Thank you for doing this. Love the channel!
whoooaaa! thank you so much for doing this!! I've been using Art and Glow for the longest time, im gonna have to try out Let's resin now!! Your makeup is Amaaaaazing btw
It really is nice to see how the various resins cure. A few years ago, I was using Little Windows, which usually worked great....but I had some weird puckering on the tops of a lot of pieces, I was unsure if the space was too cold, or if I mixed slightly off. Frustrating though. I have ten zillion molds and a lot of little crystals to make jewelry, I just stopped working on projects and now I am feeling super motivated to pull all my molds out and get to mixing! I will order your best pick, it's time to start making more fun things!! Thank you!!
I'm really glad you made this video. Choosing resin is the hardest part for me. I've tried a few so far and luckily I haven't gotten any that were truly bad, just not the right formulation for certain applications. Like I have some that are awesome for flowers but don't play well with alcohol ink.
Knew you were gonna say Art N Glow was the worst...lol I have used it and agree. It helps to have it in warm water for about 10 minutes before mixing but it still has lots of micro bubbles
I am so so glad I found your video, I been looking for this kind of video for over a week and couldn’t find anything like this, I been looking for a “cheaper” resin to start resin art with ! And I wanted something under $40 if possible! Thank you so so much! Do you have videos on different alcohol inks or stuff to use with resin? And I wanted something from Amazon !!!
I love that you did this video!! So awesome!! I really wish u could keep doing videos like this comparing resins. I personally bought about 5 and did a test on them and put them in the sun one time, I did find one for me but it does get pricey. Ur the best!! Keep doing u!!
ArtNGlow was my first resin... I haven’t been able to escape the micro bubbles either but I find that it is an awesome choice when I do chunky glitter pieces! It holds it well and keeps the glitter nicely suspended :) That said you got me hooked on CCDIY and it is hands down my favorite 😻 I may have to try the Let’s Resin one now too though!!
Amazing channel you have and your very creative and talented and stunningly gorgeous. Im going to try out some resin kits and see how it goes. This video was very informative and thank you so much. Hope you have a wonderful day and week ahead
Working with flowers you really have to coat them in resin to fill in the spots that hold air. Just cover them to avoid the bubbles. It works perfectly
I absolutely love Art n Glow for its hardness. Definitely one of my favourites. Been wanting to try Unicone Resin but can't get it over here in Canada.. 😔
Thank you so much for the comparison. I started doing projects watching you. Started as just tribute pieces. I've used puduo and been really happy. But that's because the only one I knew. I will be trying the other two :)
Thank you for this side-by-side comparison. I've been afraid to order the Let's Resin, because it's so cheap. Now I know it's worth it. I love your videos, BTW. 😉
TBH the flower cubes with the most micro bubbles looks like rain or dew just setting in on the flower .....especially on the unicone one ...i think it adds to the beauty of the art piece....like u could name them "just b4 dew" or "rain " .....like when people name their art pieces ....also have u ever thought about making resin life size unicorn horns ....what a beautiful art piece that could be and there's so many different ways to make them fantastical with alcohol inks ,painting the molds with pearl or metallic dusts, glitter or even placing flowers in them ...it was just an idea i thought i would pass along to my fav resin maker ...if anyone can do it u can ......
Thank you SO much for doing this video. I JUST bought some Puduo, but haven’t used it yet. I am thinking of changing resin brands, and had looked at both Unicone and Let’s Resin. I have read LOTS of reviews on Amazon; most resins got mixed reviews. Your video was just what I needed, a “controlled” experiment by someone with significant resin experience. 😊😊👍👍👍
I’ve tried all of these but let’s resin! I’ll have to try that next. I have a lot of their products and love everything I own! I currently have used Unicone for the last year and I love it so much! But you’re right, it does get foggy! I have done big pieces and couldn’t figure out what was wrong.
The artnglo needs a pressure pot to get bubble free results. I will be trying the let's resin next, unless I decide to do a big order to alumilite. I tried let's resin UV resin and it was very low odor. Cured really nice as well.
This is an awesome video to do and I appreciate it greatly but can we talk about how the eye makeup is absolutely on point and awesome as hell?
Aww omg haha thank you soo much!! ❤️
Righttttttttttt! her makeup is so Bomb! im always like sheesh! look at the Blenddddddddding!
I was thinking that too. ❤
I would be really intrigued to see how all four of these resins age over time! Let’s check back in next year and see how they all go!
Yes! @artsy madwoman I hope you will do a follow up vid on how these hold up over time:)
I started to do resin but for experience the resin became yellow.
@artsy madeomen how did they hold up over a year or more?
As someone who would love to play with resin and make my own resin pieces I also can't afford to get resin that won't work for me and then waste my money trying to figure out which ones will work for what I want. So I appreciate videos like yours hearing about your experience with different ones in different ways as well and I enjoy your commentary throughout the process too.
Try UV resin instead unless it’s for big projects, i rather give it a go then never try it at all.
It’s worth your money every one will buy them from you and you will mess up a lot we all will but work hard cans it will pay off
I use Let’s Resin & let me tell you, if your space was warm you would have zero bubbles… I rarely get micro bubbles in let’s resin and I work in about 72 to 74° steadily. It is the absolute best for molds and jewelry making, hands-down! It hardens up as well. 👍🏻
I would love to see how this compares to the resin you usually use! Maybe a future video?
I do not want to be that person a whole year later (yet here I am being her) but the past tense of cost is 'cost'. Love your channel!
hahaha, that was driving me nuts! Once I heard it, I couldn't concentrate on the video content, I was just waiting for her to say that again!! hahaha great video though.

This is an eye opening experience. Thank you for sharing your opinion with us. Another great video. You are just so cute.

That pink and purple coaster pour was dreamy 🫐🍇💜
I've been using Unicone for over a year. I love it
I'd really like to see this done in a warmer environment to see how they turn out vs the cold you worked in, I love the comparison that you did.
Love the comparison video. I will say that I personally started with Let's Resin and my pieces were gorgeous when I made them BUT a year later very yellow! Just what happened to me personally.

Just came across your video. Nice review, that first review the micro bubbles actually gave it a underwater bubbly feel lol aye it’s art 😅
They where all pretty bubbley, and on the box the Lets Resin says no bubbles, I usually use counter culture too, but I needed it in a hurry and ordered Art Resin From amazon and I really like it, no smell, food safe and not alot of bubbles, and it doesnt heat up, like a jar, I can pour all in one pour and it cures really hard, Thanks for the comparison, great to know about the other resins,
I'd love to see these compared to the counter culture you usually use.
I don’t get how she keeps saying it looks crystal clear when I can see a bunch of bubbles. It it just as good as can be expected? But it seems like usually her pieces don’t have bubbles.
I have only found one that compares to CCDIY and that’s MNG Glass Coat. I only make tumblers though.
@@hopegold883 she means clear on the inside.. not the bubbles sticking to the sides
I think she mean there's no cloudiness or yellow tinting... Noting to do with the bubbles.
This video has been SUPER INFORMAL and truly appreciated by a beginner on her way UP. THANK YOUUUUUU 😊

Yesss me too! I’d totally be down for a chill like ‘playing with resin and seeing what happens’ video ☺️
Thank you for testing some different Resins, it's been very helpful
I really appreciate what you do for us. It sucks you have to preface this all with how much you're not trying to upset or offend anyone. Coz you KNOW if you didn't say it lol, someone would be hurt. I just love that you did this experiment. And you look flawless. Your new space looks good on you😘

Anyone else have "nightmares" of them wasting epoxy? ..No, just me. .. 😂
😅
I have that too
Yes
So much!!! When I first started using resin I wasted so much, because I would buy brands that were terrible to use and that would immediately yellow. Most of the resin I got rid of after only using it once--I am still haunted by this!

Beautiful on your research. I saw if you use wooden stirs popsicle stick less bubbles.
I'm only like 10 seconds in but I wanted to say girl your eye shadow is gorgeous 😍😍
Art n glow was the first resin I tried before I found your videos and it was awful. You convinced me to try again & now all I use is CCDIY. Thank you!

like the way you present the results - great video, I don't often say it
I surprisingly love Let's Resin!
I was like #500 and that was as oddly satisfying as watching the mixing and pouring of resin. I love your videos so much!

could the bubbles have come from the flower in the second layer?
this is my favorite eye makeup look
I know the Art and Glow Pyramid isn't supposed to have the bubbles, but I'm kinda into the look of it.
Thanks for the comparison. Trying to figure out what to get!
Same!! i started with ArtNGlow and i’ve been trying to find a different resin
Amazing channel you have and your very creative and talented and stunningly gorgeous. Im going to try out some resin kits and see how it goes. This video was very informative and thank you so much. Hope you have a wonderful day and week ahead
I LOVE YOUR BACKGROUND! Sorry for yelling. 🤣
Working with flowers you really have to coat them in resin to fill in the spots that hold air. Just cover them to avoid the bubbles. It works perfectly
With a brush?
I absolutely love Art n Glow for its hardness. Definitely one of my favourites. Been wanting to try Unicone Resin but can't get it over here in Canada.. 😔
I'm Canadian..love Krystal resin
@@susansouthern6704 I've tried Krystal Resin and liked it too 😊 but I found it a bit thicker than Art n Glow.
Same issue happened with me with art and glow, sooo many micro bubbles
Thank you so much for the comparison. I started doing projects watching you. Started as just tribute pieces. I've used puduo and been really happy. But that's because the only one I knew. I will be trying the other two :)
I let the resin rest when mixed also wait an insane amout of time before demolding.. 3 days! I don't know how i m able to wait that long 😱
Thank you! These comparison videos are incredibly helpful and have definitely saved me so much money on products.
I have used all of them except Let’s Resin. With the same results. I just ordered the let’s resin. I’m so glad to see how well it did
QUESTION! Can you show us where/how you store all your molds? I need ideas for a small area!
I really wish you still sold and/or did custom pieces! I’d love to buy from you as I have yet to see a piece of yours that I disliked.
Excellent. Thank you for doing this. I've always wondered about the different resins from Amazon.
I’ve tried all of these but let’s resin! I’ll have to try that next. I have a lot of their products and love everything I own! I currently have used Unicone for the last year and I love it so much! But you’re right, it does get foggy! I have done big pieces and couldn’t figure out what was wrong.
I LOVE YOUR SHIRT!!! GG for life 😭❤️
love your videos! your dried flower backdrop is just mesmerize stunning!!...can i ask how you secured the flowers?
The artnglo needs a pressure pot to get bubble free results. I will be trying the let's resin next, unless I decide to do a big order to alumilite. I tried let's resin UV resin and it was very low odor. Cured really nice as well.
