Just watched a video on YT where Elmer's glue is painted on the back before a topcoat is poured. It doesn't leave any sticky residue when removed. Using the glue will be less expensive than latex.
The only issue I see is the glue wont be strong enough. The liquid latex holds together better... BUT I do have resin, coaster molds, AND both glue and latex so I may give it a try. Will have to see how it goes n try to remember to come back. Or remember to make a vid on it lol

I have and do watch a few artist on RUclips and they don't explain hard and soft resin. Thank you for your knowledge and your willingness to share. God bless you, have a blessed year.
I warm the hardener which is thinner in a warm bowl of water, then remove the mixing container, dry it - and add the thicker resin and stir. Works great. Thanks for all the great tips!
I’ve been using blue tape on the back of my coasters, and I’ve found it leaves no residue on the back of them and the resin just glides right off my coasters! I’m just randomly watching RUclips videos, and I’ve been doing resin for roughly 4 years and I always learn something new from watching your videos. Thank you for making them! I just enjoy watching💗✨
DUUUUUUUUDE! THAT LIQUID LATEX WAY WAS WAAAAAAY EASIER TO REMOVE WITH A CLEAN EDGE! I LIKE THAT IDEA! It may take a bit linger but it definitely looks amazing!
Don’t stop being yourself! Dance and sing all you want!! It’s your brand! You have taught me so much! Resin is now my favorite hobby (besides wishing I could do my makeup like yours). The Sharpie spaceship was fantastic!! My 19 year old even rewatched that one with me! Love your videos, keep up the great work!
I was wondering: if you are making a larger floral piece (like in your wedding bouquet video) would you topcoat all sides including the back? If so, how would you do the back?
Thank you for sharing this. I love watching your videos. Don’t change yourself ever not for anyone. You are perfect just the way you are. You make me happy with the singing and being so bubbly. I love the way you are. If anyone has a problem with it well they can just move on. Who wants a grumpy nasty person around anyway. Great video love the bloopers.
I had no idea you need to add a top coat to the coasters after you unmold them! I usally make Tumblers & am just starting to get into molds because of your videos 🥰
I thought I'd made a huge mistake a couple of years ago. Bought some resin and like a green mica glitter. Made 8 pendants and still had loads left over. Thought mmmmmm my hearth and wooden fireplace need painting. Painted my said hearth and fireplace, came downstairs the morning after and omg it had like grey runs all over it, could still see some of the wood through it and nearly cried. Then the sun shone on it and it flashed with bright green sparkles and i fell in love with it. My friends love it even if my mum isn't too keen. We never make mistakes-we just learn lessons x
I tape the entire bottom of the coasters and then cut the tape around the edge so it covers the bottom like the latex without having to wait for the latex to dry....even on the jagged edged coasters, I am able to cut the tape close around the edge. Have you ever done this method?
Do you have a video that you explain all the different types of resins and what specifically you use them for. I've just recently come cross resin and I'm obsessed. You're literally the only person I watch now lol

I come to your channel because you are fun and awesome. Don't let anyone piss in your Wheaties and keep being you. I usually paint on my top coat to use less resin and because I do so much texturing. If you don't want the small lip on the round coasters by using painters tape, can you use the silacone on the bottom as well? I end up getting resin on the blue tape
Hey Girl, I work with liquid latex a lot and if you wanted to give it a go a quicker way would be to dab on a thing layer of latex with a disposable sponge then once that layer is dry (you can speed it up with a hair dryer on cool) dust over some loose powder you could use like a cheap setting powder or even like cooking flour. Then just repeat that process a couple of times until you have you desired thickness (I would probably recommend 7-10 times)!! hopefully that helps its a little more effort but will have it done faster :) Also all your creations are unreal love your work xx

Hi Heather! I have a question. I was wondering: Is the reason you don’t *have* to sand your black jagged coaster, before topcoating it, because you’re specifically using a *coating* resin? I’m assuming you used a different kind of resin for the layer under that? I was always under the impression that you have to sand your piece before the top coat, in order to provide tooth, and because otherwise it won’t adhere correctly because the surface is the same, essentially. I know in the video during the Q/A part, you mentioned that you don’t sand pieces beforehand unless you’re wanting to fix unevenness from the top, but I didn’t hear you say anything about the top coat not adhering properly to the resin from the previous layer, so that’s why I was wondering. I hope my question makes sense. I would love to hear your feedback, thank you.
I can’t believe someone actually asked you to stop singing and dancing in your videos! That’s completely ridiculous, if you don’t like how someone is acting in a video, simply stop watching. It’s completely rude to expect someone to change how they live and act simply because you don’t like it. (The in general you, not anyone specific.) But seriously, how would you feel or react if someone said something like that to you?
I’m very new to all this and really want to get started on a project but I have been watching your video’s which I find very fun to watch and educational, so what is the purpose of doing all this.
Are you using frog multi surface tape for the tape method? Also, when sanding prior to top coating, what grit do you use and do you recommend hand sanding or using a handheld sander? I used 600 grit sandpaper and found that the top coat didn’t adhere in some places (maybe due to not sanding enough). Thanks!!

I once did a project where I used blue tape all over the bottom, and then when it was still very sensible for fingerprints I could peel it off like butter and the little drops just 'tore apart' right with it at the perfect spot. Gotta be careful though not to touch at the wrong spot b/c fingerprints.
How do you know how much to put of what? As in, how much glue, resin, or color when you’re creating something? I’ve been watching some of your videos but they just show you pouring it in but not about how much goes into it. Just curious 😊 I love your work!
