Hey Dad, saw you smile when the concert promoter asked them "BTW, which one's Pink?" You weren't the first! LOL! 'Concept albums' like many of PF's, Yes, Beatles etc are best experience beginning to end. @ 12:18 you asked the meaning of the switch. That's Have A Cigar blending into the next song "Wish You Were Here". In fact, the switch is them listening to 'Cigar' on the radio and why the sound changed, then they switch stations to find another song that being the acoustic of Wish you Were Here, then they begin playing along with it. That's why all concept albums should be heard start to finish as intended to really appreciate the artform. One day when you have time and in the mood put in any of these albums and listen to it start to finish, and it will become so clear! ✌️😎
When you listen to Pink Floyd albums like say Dark Side of The Moon, you have to listen to the whole album all the way through. Pink Floyd, like the Beatles created concept albums where the ending of one song leads into the next.
🤦🏿♀️ I feel old! 😁 We paid to see Laser shows to Floyd Albums at The Hayden Planetarium connected to the Museum of Natural History. Also Laser Zeppelin & Laser Beatles. 😂 Our version of today's virtual reality. During the day were school trips to the Museum then off to learn about Planets & The Galaxy at Jaden. 😎 But at night we'd hang in Central Park hoping to see John Lennon or somebody famous go in to the Dakota where he lived (and was shot outside of). Then head off for 7:30 Laser Floyd show. 😁 Awesome memories! 🐰 #ENRGYZRBunny
Just to let you two know the vocals are sung by Roy Harper who is not a member of Floyd. Can't wait to see your reaction to Comfortably Numb from the 1994 PULSE concert, just don't pause it. All the best from the far north of New Zealand.
If youve never reacted to the band Jethro Tull, they are a progressive rock juggernaut. Great rock flute amd range. "Locomotive breath", "aqualung" and "thick as a brick" are normally the gateway songs but they have many "enchanted" or "fantastical" songs , medieval or classical or inspired by nature. More of an album band than a singles band. If you ever want a "deep cut" recommendation id go with "living in the past".
Some trivia: This song is sung by neither David Gilmour nor Roger Waters. They were dissatisfied with both of their voices on this song, so they had a guest sing it. The guy singing is a friend of theirs by the name of Roy Harper.
After Dark Side of the Moon, they had no problem selling out concerts. The song Money skyrocketed them into the stratosphere and tickets sold like candy! Dark side, start to finish is a great listen, most would say, the best listen of all time. If you do Comfortably Numb live, it would be smart to do the studio version first to REALLY GET IT. Best to listen to THE WALL first too. Another concept album. Floyd isn’t a “singles” band, they are a concept band. You’re only looking at puzzle pieces when you do them one song at a time.
This is a real cool way too do a reaction. I love how the "set up" was played out by the two of you. Unique and quite interesting if I say so myself. Kudos too you, nicely done.
🤷🏿♀️ Which is why your next Floyd MUST be "Pulse" Live Comfortably Numb. 🙄😏 Although Im partial to Echoes Live at Pompeii. 😒 Floyd in their 20's with Roger Waters on Bass. And the 🎥 cinematography is epic. Alone in the Greek Amphitheater in Pompeii with just the crew to record. 😚 And did I mention their all shirtless. Filming by a 🌋 Volcano is hot! 😊🐰
music critics said: 1 Pink Floyd music will sell when PIGS can fly. That's why you see pigs in there concerts. 2 P. F. . you can't dance to their music, disco ball in all concerts after 1984. look at 1982 P.F. album cover " Pink Floyd's favorite dance music. Song drops the front channel. when i heard it for the first time i thought my stereo lost the front speakers, but it goes into the next song " wish you where here' with just the back channel with the acoustic guitar then a second comes in giving you front channel.
Try "Dogs," from their next (following Wish You Were Here) album, Animals. There are some amazing, deep layers of keyboard & synthesizer sounds, in the middle of the song. Rippling textures, synth drones, a giant-sounding drum, & a twisty, snarly synth lead too!
Love the reaction guys. To be blown away, check out the 1994 Pulse concert, songs: SORROW HIGH HOPES LEARNING TO FLY COMING BACK TO LIFE COMFORTABLY NUMB David Gilmour makes you FEEL every note he plays on the guitar and the silky vocals are unmatched! I wanna see you guys watch the ones i mentioned. Keep going!
Pleeeeease do Shine On You Crazy Diamond. You got the great new headphones. Now sit back, relax and let that crazy diamond take you away to another place. (Hey can you turn the music up in your mix so we can hear the song better too?)
I think it's time gentlemen. "Comfortably Numb" live Pulse. Up to this point, you only think you've heard great guitarists. Your world is about to change.
You should just let this track carry on as it transitions into the title song Wish You Were Here. That's why it suddenly goes mono - the transition is someone changing stations on a radio. BTW, the vocals are by Roy Harper as guest.
go back to 1967 for their best instrumentals (careful with that axe Eugene, see emily play, astronomy domine) for better Pink Floyd. for Jarvis Street Review -Mr.Oil Man track 2 mr.oil man
Any songs from Pulse concert 1994 is great .. For me , Pink Floyd is best band of all times 😎👍🎶✨ and Comfortably Numb to Pulse = best live guitar solo 🎸🎸 good day to you two 😎👍
Yea it sounded like that. I imagined it was the purity of the music being cut in half by the record company. How they sometimes altered the potency and beauty of the artist by there influence.
Rush, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Sabbath - can't go wrong

What should the next Pink Floyd reaction be?
Marooned live from strat pack tribute concert...
So so many songs with floyd
Pink Floyd is the definition of 'Cool'.
Sorrow - Pulse concert. The base line is hypnotic.
We plan to do comfortably numb but I am share we will want more pulse after that so thanks for the suggestion!
Excellent choice. Saw PF live in '88. They were awesome. ✌️😎
@Skrewewe Toob luckiest person ever lol
Not sure if you guys have already, but you gotta check out their Dark Side of the Moon album. Greatest album I’ve ever heard.
Sung by Roy Harper, an English folk artist that was popular with a lot of bands at that time including Led Zeppelin.
Echoes is from the Meddle album and if you haven't seen it live from Pompeii in the early 70's you are in for a real treat
A nice heaping helping of some funky bass in there as well.
This whole album is fantastic

Comfortably Numb, live pulse, 2nd half of song you do not want to pause

If you like bass, you should see One Of These Days from Pulse Live.
Epic bass by Guy Pratt
😁 Floyd! Yes! Cool! 🍿🐰
Maybe you already know but Pink Floyd is also known as one of the best, if not the best Psychedelic bands ever

My friends and I when I was way young, would veg out, smoking doobies, eyes closed and float away....

Man the keys and guitar rythym are so funky...and lyrics are dark.

TenOnHard8 - Thanks for the positive feedback! We appreciate it!

Great reaction guys. Loved it! Love the song as well. Thanks!
Please do LET THERE BE ROCK LIVE AT THE RIVER PLATE AC/DC

this is the only floydsong where the lyrics weren´t sung by themselves.

If you like the Bass then you might like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea plays a funky bass, The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie is a great song.
We waited 5 years for things to be sorted out after Roger Waters left. 🤔 "Which one is Pink?" was a legitimate question at the time. 🍿🐰 #ENRGYZRBunny
The Greatest band ever.

have a listen to an english band called "iron maiden" they are a (must)
The sound you heard at the end was the music being sucked into the radio and being played on air
Yea it sounded like that. I imagined it was the purity of the music being cut in half by the record company. How they sometimes altered the potency and beauty of the artist by there influence.
You are exactly right my friend
Sell-out means that the band sold all the tickets to their last concert, not that the band sold out their principles to gain more success.
