Roger is a brilliant poet and lyricist. But he's a very conflicted man. He hates the British monarchy, yet married into English aristocracy. Rails against capatalism, yet grabbed every royalty he could making him a multi-millionaire. Likewise, he has an amazing ability to condense the human condition into layman's terms, yet that ability can't (seemingly) be pointed at himself. He's a talented enough bassist, but that's not where his geinus lies. He's an interesting contradiction. ... As for Gilmour; Leo Fender created the Stratocaster. God created David Gilmour to play it.

Animals is the most highly rated underrated album of all time at this point. It's a masterpiece, but hardly obscure. (pun intended) ... If you want a true overlooked gem from the Floyd catalogue, try Obscured By Clouds. They wrote it the same time they were working on Darkside. It is just one singer! This album was released when I was 6 years old, I'm 54 now I still listen to it regularly. This music never gets old.

So lovely to see you younger guys enjoying Jeff’s music. Ive been a Super-fan since mid 70s and OUT OF THE BLUE and DISCOVERY. I travelled from Australia to San Diego last November 2023 to see Jeff & ELO at a VetsAid concert. Front row, right in front of Jeff. He even spoke to me and gave me a special farewell when he’d finished. A dream come true!!

I wouldn't say it's a simple song. Led Zeppelin's song "Kashmir" uses a polymeter, which means it has two different time signatures happening at the same time. It's an alternating 5/8 and 6/8 time signature with a straight 4/4 in the bridge and middle.

Love watchin the youngsters having to deal with the best Rock and Roll put down. Tom Scholz - MIT tech grad - rebuilt guitars from scratch and installed his own electronics. Every second of this album was by design, and really the best Rock there was. I was in high school, and man we smoked a lot of pot taking this masterpiece in. They didnt have "organ effects" back then, and no synths. That's a Hammond organ - rebuilt to Tom's specs. Absolute brilliance
