Pink Floyd deserves a full album, I suggest Animals.
Yes Animals, sit back put on the headphones doesn’t get any better
Please do this whole album. You won’t regret it. ❤️❤️
47 years later, still ROFLMAO at " Which One's Pink "...a scathing indictment of the music industry, with PF's usual musical genius
My favorite line is “if we all pull together as a team”…as if that’s the agent or manager telling the band that lol.
and "We're so happy we can hardly count".
Worse is... "its a hell of a start..." when in reality the band has been working for years struggling to live before finally getting a hit.
I get these. Some a-hole over his pay grade calls everyone "team" cuz he doesnt know who spins which wheel
With Pink Floyd every album has a feel. Animals came after this album. Animals is great headphone music. You should do a track by track.
I've seen Pink Floyd live twice. The first time was the "Animals" tour in 1977 at Milwaukee County Stadium. Still one of the best concerts I've ever seen.
Animals tour 1977, Los Angeles sports Arena, I was 19, Great. I’ve seen them four times
@@lancevaughn432 4 for me as well.. I followed them from Detroit twice to Cleveland to Toronto
I fucking hate you. But I hate Waters more for not recording any of those 77 shows.
I saw them in 1977 at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. They had big animal balloons floating over the entire venue.
I saw them again much later, again at the Cleveland Municipal Stadium but it didn’t hold a candle to the first concert.
Back in the day they were EVERYTHING!
Saw them in 75 at the Capital Center outside of Wash. D.C.
Like others said, this whole album is amazing. Please start with "Shine On You Crazy Diamond." (Parts 1-5) And, are you going to do more Rolling Stones? How about the album "Sticky Fingers?" You would love the song "Can't You Hear Me Knocking."
This is one of two Pink Floyd songs not sung by a member of the band (the other being The Great Gig in the Sky), which makes sense in that it's the record producer's POV sweet talking the band with the objective of exploiting them.
I hope you listen to more because it doesn't get better than Pink Floyd imo.
Guest vocalist Roy Harper on this track, it’s one of my favorite guitar solos from David Gilmour 🎸
I just recently found this out. For years I always thought it was just Roger Waters singing on the track. It sounds so much like him.
Great vocal. Hats off to Roy Harper for a job wel done.
@@John_Locke_108 I saw what you did there 😉
You HAVE to do a Pink Floyd marathon
The must listens in this order are
Meddle (1971)
The Dark Side of the Moon (1973)
Wish You Were Here (1975)
Animals (1977)
The Wall (1979)
also I’ve been watch just about every single one of your videos ever since you done your first AC/DC reaction
RUclips f***ing ads: you never, ever, _ever_ interupt a David Gilmore solo.
This has now got totally out of hand. We should file a class action or something.
The song is definitely about the exploitation of tallent that has not yet made it big. Promise a lot; give as little as possible. I'm sure it was written about the music industry, but it also applies pretty much everywhere, sadly.
The music of this song is just _so_ clever. Every time I listen to it (around 30 years now, and counting) different nuances of the interactions between parts pop out. It has more layers than a Hollywood star's makeup. Just an astonishing feat of composition and performance.
Thanks for the reaction.
its about a record executive telling the band how HE is going to make the band great ,and how stupid music industry types are in general .Which one is Pink? is him not knowing anything about the band. And the vacuum sound at the end is supposed to show what record mastering does to their music.
Exactly- like sucking the life out of the music.
I like the little line "We're so happy we can hardly count." Sums it up pretty well.
Woooo u gonna love this 1. The GOAT of all groups.
One of my favorite Floyd tunes!
This is one of the my fav songs by PF, glad to see you got as hyped as I did with that solo
The music is 🔥
You just can't go wrong with PF. The meanings in this one paint a clear picture of the industry.
Ah Pink Floyd, my 2nd favorite band. This album is one of their big 4.
1. The Dark Side of the Moon 73
2. Wish You Were Here 75
3. Animals 77
4. The Wall 79
They had many great songs and good albums before those, but those are their legendary albums.
One word, “Animals” 🐷🐶🐑 Start to finish ♥️
I like the way you say Helluva
Got to love the music ex. laying down the first line of "BULL" .
Peace friend!
✌️🤘🇨🇦
Primus did a studio cover of this song.
Welcome back!! Cool reaction and you'll really have to dig into listening to this whole album, and
DARKSIDE OF THE MOON album and THE WALL album in its entirety
Thank you
I loved this reaction.
🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Complete FIRE 🔥🔥🔥🔥This is off my favorite Pink Floyd Album. 😎😎
In reference to record executives full of BS. They think one of the band members is pink and another one is Floyd. Record executives don’t give a sh-, they just care about the $$. Wish You Were Here, do the album it’s great.
One of my favorites!!🤘🤘
This is one of their funkier songs, love it. Gets your head bopping without realizing it. LOL And of course, David Gilmore's guitar just powers through and makes your jaw drop.
"helluva" is slang for "hell of a"
The album this is from is my fav ,,''Dark Side Of The Moon'' is the most popular but ''Wish You Were Here '' is the best I think and would have been better if it was a double album while they were so good and creative at this point .. Yez Biz you got it right , they were awesome ..Thanks to preservation for keeping it that way ..
I`m agree to @Mark Martin... you should listen to the whole album. It's a concept album and the tracks belong together. Of course it's hard to get something like that across YT, but when you hear it in complete you'll know why. By the way, almost all P.F. albums like that. Best wishes @all from hamburg (germany)
Haha, looks like we got a bit lost in the sauce on this one. Nice.
I really like the fact that David Gilmour, though not known for fast guitar solos, achieves the excitement of one by some syncopated strumming on a chord mid-solo. It's extremely exciting and intense and makes the whole solo percolate with danger.
Record executives were buttering the band up with cigars to make them feel special while they’re getting fk’d
if you ever get the chance to see Britt Floyd Do it they are the closes you will ever get to the real band
Check out David Gilmour doing There's No Way Out Of Here from a solo album. It was a treat the first time I heard it.
Also check out Run Like Hell Live by Pink Floyd.
I agree!!!
That song blew my mind away...I feel it might be 'new' and unheard by many fans.
Great suggestion!!!
Yes, this song is a tongue n cheek description of how little record executives give a shit about the artists. In this case, acting as if they really respect them, and don't even know that Pink Floyd is the name of the band and not a person..
"it's a hell of a start..." yeh like the band haven't been working for years before getting a hit!
Do your 10 favorite bands, please.
I will
Try some Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Biz, Please do some live songs from the 1994 Pink Floyd pulse concert. Especially comfortably numb
I did it already
@Watch BizMatik my man. I'll search for it. Please more live Pink Floyd :)
This is a great record specially considering having to put out an album following the incredible monster of an album that Dark Side was.
Have u done Pink Floyd "Echoes" (Part1) Live at Pompeii 1972??? If not.... WTF 🤣🤣🤣
No I have not
One of PF's more "funky" songs. This could've been in a "Blaxploitation" film soundtrack...
Roger ended up not liking Roy’s version of this track. But I heard Roger take a crack at it and he just sucked. I’m not surprised Dave couldn’t pull it off either. In my opinion, Roy’s version is THE version of this song. I think he hit it out of the park. I can’t imagine anyone else doing it.
IMHO David Gilmour is the greatest guitarist ever. I can listen to Pink Floyd all day.
This was one of the many songs Roger Waters wrote expressing his disgust with record executives.
You thinks that’s something try it on lsd, that whole album is crazy to listen to, it will blow your mind to listen from beginning to end while you’re peaking.
Nailed it; this is about the exploitation of bands by the music industry.
They are mocking the greed and superficiality of the Record Company hype........cause they can hop on the gravy train with them.
now were talking...300 years hence, will people still love this band like people still listen to mozart, i say shit ya
You Mr Biz you should check out Foo Fighters cover of Have a Cigar by Pink Floyd. I actually think it’s better than the original. Make sure it’s the 3.59 length studio version
