I’d like to thank you, Jessica. I am completely blind and I must say your exercise videos are by far the easiest for me to follow because of how clearly you explain each and every movement. Most people rely on people following visually, but that doesn’t really help me since I’m blind 😂
I’m a stay at home/work from home mom just trying to find myself again. This is the first form or working out I’ve done in over a year - I typed barre workouts into the search bar and I’m so glad this is the one I clicked on - thank you ❤️ I was able to do this in the kitchen while making breakfast for my kids just now and am feeling so good!
Amazing video! These tips are super useful and really educational. Question for you... have you ever tried Next Level Diet? I got a muscle-building meal plan from them that's worked wonders for me.
Thank you for this Barre. You had explained good tips that reduce injury that many other instructors neglect. With a weakened left foot and ankle, your workout inspired me.
This was my first 'barre method' 😏 really enjoyed it! Time to incorporate once a week now for sure. You have a dancer's physique with the most beautiful arch Ms. Jessica 'Savant' ;-)
The idea of "squeezing the glutes" and "tucking" during barre classes actually causes a poor position of the pelvis and pelvic floor and can cause problems. Also, it's not needed! The glutes will do the work they need naturally and don't ever need to be squeezed :).
YEs I mean through the entire workout! Squeezing your glutes is not necessary, especially during these exercises, and just causes a posterior pelvic tilt, putting the pelvis into a poor position!
I’d like to thank you, Jessica.

My first barre workout ever. This was exactly what I needed. Thanks!

My legs felt good and warmed up by the end of the video. It is great to be able to do this at home with good instruction. Thank you.

Thank you for your very clear explanation!! I am also a physical therapist and I love your work-outs!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you, Jessica. It was good to use these specific muscles in my lower body.

I've had a bar for years, but didn't know how to use it. Thank you.
That was simple but very good. Some of these moves were new to me, which made it interesting.
Lovely easy workout can be done any time of the day thank you.
Absolutely!!
Thank you Jessica! This is a great workout for the ankles, toes, and calves. The addition of weights is a bonus.
You're so welcome!
Easy but so effective! Thanks

is this a good workout to do before going on a run?

First
Thank you, i do feel m’y calves 😂
You’re welcome 😊
why do we not squeeze our glutes?
The idea of "squeezing the glutes" and "tucking" during barre classes actually causes a poor position of the pelvis and pelvic floor and can cause problems. Also, it's not needed! The glutes will do the work they need naturally and don't ever need to be squeezed :).
I am curious as to why we should not squeeze the glutes and do you mean throughout the whole workout...
Thank you on advance.

Heels together feet apart = first position 😂
Great for adult figure skaters.
