- imo this looks less emotionally charged but i think it would be the best of it to show my imagination with the beautiful mix of a guitar and violin playing a duet together in mourning for their lost one.

Oh man... that was perfect.
As someone who loves Omori and recently read Passerine, as soon as I saw this in my recommended I thought, “Oh boy, this is gonna hurt”. Then I heard the guitar and scrolled down in the description to see that you had mixed both a guitar and violin cover which is just... GENIUS! The final duet in Omori is such a beautiful and emotional scene that shows that even though loss hurts, you can still hold onto the happy memories. Passerine has a similar theme so it fits perfectly. Not to mention the significance of both duets in their respective stories. It seems like a simple parallel to create but by god do you make it work excellently on more than just a surface level. Absolutely beautiful, you did a great job.

i love how you pointed out what i meant on using passerine and final duet in one video! the song reminded me of passerine and ive encountered someone who mixed the guitar and violin cover in a snippet so reaching out to them was the best decision to complete this pmv. passerine and omori has such similar themes as well. i noticed how in the final duet bit in omori, it only showed the most impactful and happy memories sunny has encountered and thought, “hey, i can do this with passerine.”

i think its the flow of the storyboard as well which makes some similarities of the animatics together! it also ended with the duets which was surprising lol

I immediately recognized it as omori which already made me sad but halfway through I realized it’s an acoustic guitar instead of piano because it’s techno and wil’s duet at the end of the last chapter and that was just such a gut punch
and the name fits it too. tommy's last wish was to hear them play again. a duet. it was indeed the final duet.

It's wonderful, and it's ending isnt super cliche and happy, it's bittersweet and honestly perfect

not only was this posted before sadists, I'd like to say that the two animatics are very different (animation and vibe) and I love both of them. both of them are very well made and the different styles make me gush. also, the touch of omori is just superb. love the work!
