That thing behind Sunny wasn’t Mari, it was his own pain and fears. In reality, Mari had been singing this song to Sunny every night, and watching over him ever since she had passed.

sunny and mari got into a fight, sunny accidentally pushed mari down the stairs and killed her, then basil helped sunny frame it as a suicide
i suffer with terrible anxiety and listening to this has taken me out of a state of panic several times. it helped me get through a seriously difficult situation that lasted about a week or two. thank you for this, really.

This song broke me. It’s just that beautiful. The words truly bring to mind who Mari was: a caring older sister who’d do anything for her brother. Who would watch over him even through death…

I know so many other people have said this, but Omori is truly an underrated masterpiece. It develops the characters, it develops true character arks, the fear factor are not just jumpscares, but true moments of dread and terror, that are made forgotten about by happy moments. The combat system is amazing, the music, everything, and especially the story and themes...this game will be one I do not forget

After that song, I felt so relieved. From empathy for Sunny, it was as if I had joined his body, understood his emotions. And the only thing Louche needed was a sign that Marie forgives Sunny. In this song, it is with the words that you teach the feeling that Marie has forgiven her brother, that she is "still here", that she loves us. I think that’s the point, Sunny and Basils suicide is pretty much imminent if you do not tell the truth, so Sunny has to overcome his guilt and fear, and tell the group that he was the one that killed Mari. It’s the only way to overcome their guilt of the accident, and they have to believe their friends will forgive them. And as implied by the secret ending clip, their friends understood the situation and they did. All they have to do is believe their friends could forgive them, and confess.

This is a super faithful recreation, wow. The violin playing is a little scratchier in the original recording, which I like because it gives it a really human, still-learning-how-to-play feel, but the arranging in this sounds exactly like the real thing. Some more counterpoint between the violin and vocals could be cool too, like how you did it around 0:48.
It's been some months since I first finished Omori and I didnt cry to be honest, now, months later I finally listened to your cover and when I heard you sing I just bursted into tears, just got game flashback, every single details that make the game.. Gosh, I love both the game and your cover so much TT

don't know what Omori is, but this song is still amazing, that's when you know when you found a good artist, you don't even need to know the topic of the song to like it
Omori is a phycological horror game. it takes place in what is called "dreamworld" or "headspace". it looks like a bright pastel game, thats very cute and upbeat, but quickly gets dark. It shows the events of what happens to a 12 - 16 (it skips to 16, you dont play until hes 16 years old) year old boy named omori/sunny. You find the truth about what happened to you, your friend basil and your older sister mari. its a decently long game, the fandbase is cool, its also really sad, but very well written. It’s hard to explain omori without spoiling, so buy it on steam for 22 dollars or watch a play through of it. A good one is the tuonto playthrough which has 2 videos. The first one is 6 hours long, and the second one Is 7 hours long I believe.

Eu vi essa música como um espelho da vida de alguém e isso pode ser visto com os sons por que o piano vai primeiro e quem toca é a Mari que é a irmã mais velha. O Sunny chega um pouco depois com o violino e o som vai ficando mais cheio(por assim dizer) e isso acontece quando Kel, Aubrey, Basil e Hero aparecem. Mas logo no final o som fica mais solitário por causa daquele ocorrido (poupar as pessoas de spoiler né?) e isso deixa essa música mais linda por causa dessas pequenas coisas que ela implementa e completa ao longo de 2 pequenos minutos.
