- ITS! ITS DONE!! I WORKED ON THIS SINCE JUNE LAST YEAR AND I'M VERY PROUD butI can't afford to keep watching it because the more I look at it the more it looks like it shouldn't have taken half a year to finish because WHAT IS THAT.
Welp anyway, no matter what our cursed artist brains think, we still put a lot of effort in our work qwq So, I'm planning to make a video a while after I release this, showing a timelapse of the drawings I made and comparisons of my old animations and revised animations! Dude!! I can already tell that this is going to be up there with top animations for Omori! I had to come back on my phone instead of switch so I could like and subscribe 😂❤❤
@@WeiRd0_M3L0NOk so I'll try to answer this as best as I can and then answer more in depth in the video- So for the hair, I sorta animated it by dividing them all into chunk, and depending on the type of wind direction(sometimes the hair is swaying in one direction, other times it's just blowing out from the face in all directions) the hair chunks will kind of wiggle like worms do. I sketched out the animations a lot of times before shading them, so figuring out how it moves is the first step to making it look good! As for the colours, I actually pick a certain vibe I want the scene to feel like. In headspace portions, there's no strict palette, just colourful drawings. In whitespace I shaded with more grayish purple, in Sunny's house I used a dark blue, and in Faraway town I used a warm orange. In the Meteor Shower scene, I used cyan, pink, and purple because i really wanted this scene to pop and look magical. So when you want to colour your art, just think of the vibe you want to portray and associate some colours to that feeling!

I love the meteor shower scene ( 2:16 ) the way headspace Basil gave Omori the key just hit, it’s like Sunny’s subconscious knew that Basil wants to help Sunny no matter what, it makes sense considering the incident
Yess you get it! In all the times I listened to this song, I visualised that part the most. Like it didn't matter if i messed up the other parts, this one has to look the best! Basil giving the key and getting all bloody sort of represented the sequence in blackspace, so you're correct! Im glad I was able to convey the emotions well!!

I want to be emotional about Omori because I truly do love it, yet for some reason I’m not as emotional as I usually am? I know with Undertale and other media I’ve cried and it’s physically hurt before, but Omori? I just kinda feel- numb? Not in a bad way, it just feels wrong to not be balling crying at everything because I recently just finished watching my first play through (can’t afford the game atm) of the Sunny route. Thank you for this gorgeous animation! It portrays the world and characters of Omori wonderfully
That's very valid! I think there are just some things that do mean a lot to us but we can't feel the way we think we're supposed to feel. I remember my appreciation for Omori only really sinking in a few weeks after I finished watching a playthrough of it. Even if it doesn't come, that's ok! Everyone feels differently about everything, and I know there are some Omori fans who felt more numb than emotional about the game

First of all, I LOVE this song, i never thought it could fit with Omori so well, like, what?? I also adore the meteor shower part, the way Basil seems so willing to give everything just to give the key to Omori, and Omori's expression is just so good and beautiful and so full of meaning, it's amazing.

This means so much to me personally, I'm so glad you made this. Meteor shower was always my comfort song in middle school, and I played omori during the worst time in my life mentally and to see both of these important comforts to me be combined makes me so happy. I cried while watching this just from the sheer emotions in this animation, and all of it is absolutely gorgeous. I love this so much

HOLY SHIT!!! You did not have to go this HARD, OMG!!!??? This is absolutely gorgeous! The animation is fluid and so much fun to watch, oh god I love the part where the friends sing at him. And the imagery fits really well with the parts of the song you placed them, and you portrayed game events so beautifully aaaaaa!! Hhihimi I really hope you're proud of this bc being an avid enjoyed of omori animatics I've never seen one with such consistently hard hitting animation, implementing screen shakes, the colouring, basically it's beautiful. This is what animatics look like in my head while listening to music, except I don't have the talent to transfer it. 🎉❤
It might seem hard at first, but I actually took a lot of shortcuts in making this! Realistically, there'd be things we imagine that just we just can't express properly. There's nothing wrong with it, instead we can just adjust it more and more so that it fits our capability but we're still satisfied with it!

this must have taken INCREDIBLY long. THE SMOOTHNESS, ARTSTYLE, WAY YOU PRESENT SUNNY/OMORI AND BASIL’S STORY, THE ANIMATION, THE LIGHTING, THE BACKGROUNDS, THE CHARACTER DESIGNS, THE EDITING, THE CAVETOWN SONG, JUST INSANE. INSANE. The thing was bewildered me the most was the fact that you animated so smoothly while making it look amazing AND KEEPING LIGHTING IN THE HAIR that must’ve been a pain omfg 😭😭😭😭 it all looks natural and non-wonky which is something I could never do. Meteor Shower is a song that's really important to me and something I put close to my heart, and seeing Omori, a game that I felt such a deep connection with, animated to it.. Might've made me a little emotional :'3

THIS.. THIS IS SO GOOD. Omori is my favorite game of all time and I think it'll stay like that a long time if not forever. It's amazingly written and really ties emotion into its story and makes the player/watcher experience many, many emotions and it even changed the way I view things and helped me through a really dark time in my life. There were several moments where the game gave me chills with just how well things were portrayed and how much detail and foreshadowing was put into it for such a masterpiece to fall into place. Watching this made me experience many of those emotions over again, like I was experiencing the emotions of Omori all over again in just five minutes. I strive to have this emotion put into my creations, and watching this was just like experiencing those chills over again, a masterpiece falling into place even though this is based on Omori and isnt Omori itself. Many people misunderstand Basil and Sunny's relationship and misunderstand Basil and Sunny as characters, and I appreciate it deeply when someone finally portrays the good people they are deep down in their own work since I really feel like it's bringing about change making those who don't understand understand that when someone does something very bad, it doesn't make them a very bad person on its own. How they think, act, and treat the trauma determines it aswell. This beautiful animation really brought emotion to me since one of my favorite things on Earth is creation with meaning and creations that make people feel genuine emotion. I want to create things like that. This animation inspired me greatly. Things like this are very inspiring to me and with the severe lack of motivation I've been experiencing lately it means a lot to me when I come across things like this and I think this is one of the best ones. Maybe this comment was corny, too much, or a lot, but I just felt I should share my thoughts so that you, if you ever see this, know how it made me feel and how it may make others feel if they've had similar experiences to me. And I also hope it brings people to see the deeper meaning of the animation and Omori itself and for those who misunderstand the main characters in Omori to think more about how they perceive them. You have earned a subscriber. I think things like this deserve to gain recognition and this deserves way more than the 12K views it has.
THANK YOU!! Omg I just read the whole thing and it's just so meaningful, comments like these is why I keep drawing and animating. I couldn't have done this if Omori didn't leave such a big impact on me, and if I didn't have that much fun being in its community.
Everyone has their interpretations throughout the game, and I can't expect people to have the same outlook on every little thing the game showcases, but I really do get sad when people miss the little details that made up the omori characters' friendships. I dislike it when people are so quick to put on the label "Toxic", because they don't understand that the mourning grief the characters went through does NOT define their whole personality.

@@HihiMiHwaof course! it's no problem really, i love responding to things like this since i feel like people who create things like this are people i can connect with. it's truly rare these days for people to take things with deep meaning seriously and to interpret it in the right ways, and that's not saying that people cant interpret it DIFFERENTLY, its just that if they interpret it in the wrong ways, it can be quite harmful. I think that creations like these are a steer in the right direction for people to understand one another better and so that we treat one another better. this may seem like an overstatement, but i think that if creations like these build up, the world can really grow. and i think that appreciating each and every one counts. your animation is no exception, and can help those understand the meaning of omori better. while this animation is beautiful, yes, it's not just mere eye candy, and it has emotional depth which is SO important for a masterpiece like this to come to life. despite what other people could criticize, i think that this video is amazing and that you did a WONDERFUL job including every theme of omori in such a short time frame of five minutes which is something i could never pull off anytime soon. really, its truly amazing to me!

THIS IS SO ILLEGALLY GORGEOUS WHAT- THIS IS ACTUALLY JAW DROPPING. THE INCREDIBLE TRANSITIONS (especially these 3:10 , they are so well done I cannot-), ANIMATION, BACKGROUND, EXPRESSIONS, ART STYLE, EVERYTHING (also, the fact that you added sound effects from the game itself is so unique)
This broke me, especially the scenes with Sunny/Omori and Basil. Like this one 2:16 , I love how Omori and Basil look at eachother and HS Basil giving Omori the key even if it means he has to die is just- AAAGGHHH, my heart- As another comment mentioned, it's as if Sunny's subconscious understands that despite everything Basil just wants to help no matter what, and this one 3:49 too- Basil pulling Sunny towards him ready to attack him and it just cuts to Basil pulling Sunny in for a hug..

i dont think you understand how bonkers it is to complete this in half a year, esp with how detailed and complicated specific scenes are. this was an entire experience on its own and that half a year 100% paid off, amazing work
