Josh dies. He wakes up. People crying. A rollercoaster drives for eternity. A train dissappears in a black hole. Josh: "I am in heaven?" Guy with horns, red skin and hooves: "Ähhh... Kind of?"
Nope, it's hell, as the current scene is followed up by step-by-step tutorial demonstration on the optimizations, improvements and fixes, that create the perfect, maximally efficient zero-waste system.
I feel like the devs did such good work on the game, that Josh's primary exploit was to frustrate factory game pros as much as possible. The belt limit bug discovery is classic LGIO.
Those two conditions you have to check in order for the continue button to pop up sound suspiciously like the devs knew Josh was going to play this game
This guy is absolutely insane. I have no other words for it. The amount of unnecesary effort put into this amalgamation fascinates me. Megaproject owners like pharaos who built the pyramids would have a heart attack finding out about this. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.
i was just about to say that him waiting for a new platform to fill so he can delete the empty one at the end and then repeat the proscess is reminescent of how ancient egyptians used wooden rods to slide huge bricks by removing the last one then placing it at the front of this 'treadmill'. What Josh did is literally how they built the pyramids lmao
I somehow expected that he can move the whole platform and paste it with all the forms inside, near the void. The result was much more painful to understand than expected 😅
The worst part is this isn't JUST Josh being Josh. All the needless waste, the excess belts and feeding time, is actually necessary for this particular deranged plan to work, since the belt spaghetti is how this galactic hell train stores its cargo as it inchworms itself painfully across the cosmos.
I’m beginning to think that game devs give you keys as a form of free (and very thorough) bug testing. If there’s an exploitable bug, you will inevitably find it.
I mean, that's what happened with Satisfactory. Josh's saves were pretty important in helping find areas of the game that were not well optimized so they can fix it. They even used Josh's belt tornado on the official Steam page.
Gotta love it when you move so far away from the origin, floating point errors start affecting the rendering, because it can't properly compute the z-depth.
Snaking a snake of essentially cargo containers across the universe has to be one of the most time wasting things Josh has done. Having to wait for all those belts, then periodically rebuilding those platforms, versus literally just putting down an extra machine or two. Highly respectable.
i so badly wanted to know if the "space conveyor" tool wouldve allowed you to transport the pieces without using 500 platforms but the caravan was so much more glorious 😂
Honestly this is an ingenious way of handling a huge variety of manufactured things. No need to waste time drawing up logic trees for coal and metal and 58 more random ingredients! There are only two things: shapes, and belts. As it should be. Bless.
It's called a voiceover (which is awesome either way).... Unless you guys thought he recorded hundreds of hours of gameplay while recording his voice and then somehow spent thousands of hours editing it together xD
I have to say I am amazed of your mental resilience to not just end up giving up on this kind of project. I can`t even imagine how long that must have taken you. At least you had blueprints....would you have done that journey across the galaxy if it didn`t have blueprints? I am afraid the answer may actually be yes and that`s what is just amazing for the kind of dedication you have. Thank you for the sadistic entertainment you provide!
Josh is the living embodiment of those students that will do everything they can to cheat on an assignment, even though cheating takes so much more work then actually doing the assignment. And I respect him fully for it.
You've somehow managed to drop my jaw with the sheer audacity to spit in the face of God as you fill platforms, delete them, and build at the other end just to move them. This is genuinely hilarious, you somehow always managed to think beyond the box, into the surrounding box, crush that one, put it in another box, fill *that* one with as many crushed inceptions as you can. Then grind it up into a smoothie, put it through a strainer, force that down the drain, into the garbage disposal, clog it, call a plumber to remove that filled section of pipe, where an entire truck is filled with filled pipes all the way back to a processing plant, just to make another box. You've truly outdone yourself with this video sir, I can't wait to see how you manage to top that
the first thing you see is a weird contraption until josh says "hold please" then you will now see a beautiful work of arts always so magical holy this game is huge
Finally another horrifically organised factory, so lovely in fact I showed this to my distant cousin who works in a factory and he instantly died of a heart attack! Although that is not important, love your videos and thank you for helping me laugh all through the funeral service at Brember Family Funeral Home so I don’t feel bad about my previously mentioned cousin. Again much thanks Josh!
19:59 “We still need to figure out how to get them to our base. Which i’m gonna assume is what these foundations are for” josh says when there is a giant space conveyor building on his screen.
I get the impression that this game takes place in the Platonic plane, where the perfect form of all shapes are found and the source of all physical forms in our reality. The implications of Josh being the Platonic form of chaos in this realm of perfection is left as an exercise for the audience.
Really impressive that after all this time, and after having rewatched his Satisfactory videos so much, Josh still has the ability to deeply horrify me with his design methodologies.
''I will strive for efficiency and build no spaghetti factories'' They definitely knew about Let's game it out's nature of making ridiculously long conveyor belts 😂
27:10 This glitch is caused by the fact that floating point data types can only store so big of a number. Since they are optimized for decimals and not big numbers (unlike the int data type), they will start skipping numbers when they get really big. And thats why that happens.
I just can't believe he got that far out on the map! Or maybe it's just the way the game is scaled. Either way, I hope the devs at least double the size of the float
It's more of a matter of precision than magnitude. Not sure how big of a unit each sector is in terms of engine coordinates, but if it was actually too big you'd probably end up with the game crashing than seeing things being jiggly.
At this point i believe Josh is just a game tester for games, exploiting glitches and game breaking features to have fun and probably help improve the games he touched with his magical exploiting fingertips. Love the content. Keep it up
the devs giving him a key but forcing him to agree and check "no building spaghetti factories" and "no damaging buildings" is truly diabolical, but also somewhat poetic
This looks like a genuinely fun game. However, it's abstract, which means Josh can't unleash his evil! No death, nobody trapped in eternal suffering, etc. It's like a Jaws movie if nobody went into the water: It becomes a mature documentary. Interesting, but not what you were expecting. This vid ends up being just a thorough demonstration with a little bit of humor added.

I’m beginning to think that game devs give you keys as a form of free (and very thorough) bug testing. If there’s an exploitable bug, you will inevitably find it.
Yes,
always has been
it's tradition for any game developer(s) to send josh a key and see what he ruins to then fix it and repeat
And free advertising.
I mean, that's what happened with Satisfactory.
Josh's saves were pretty important in helping find areas of the game that were not well optimized so they can fix it.
They even used Josh's belt tornado on the official Steam page.
Game theory: the text asking the player to "please don't break this" only appears when Josh plays.
It was placed there to challenge him to break it, specifically. If it says dont do it of course he will.
Gotta love it when you move so far away from the origin, floating point errors start affecting the rendering, because it can't properly compute the z-depth.
