I just got a DR920 Elite, I'm very happy with it so far. I'm impressed with the build quality and the details of the gun.
They’re actually based on the gen 4. I bought one of these specifically to used with a battlefield green gen 4 frame.
Doesn’t the Gen 4 guns have a dual recoil spring? My Glock 17 Gen 4 sure does. This gun has a Gen 2-3 style recoil spring. Doesn’t make it bad, but it’s not Gen 4 compatible.
@@johndilday1846 it absolutely is gen 4 compatible . I have pictures to prove it. I have a SS slide from an MR920 on a gen 4 frame right now.
@@justinjones5431 Okay, maybe they cross-fit. I don’t know. But I have Gen 3 and Gen4 Glocks and I know that the recoil spring the same as a Gen 3 type. Good luck with your pistol, and I hope it is everything you want it to be.
I have the dr920 elite…I called shadow systems regarding a question and their tech supply said most gen 5 parts would fit. Glock Gen 5 barrels are drop in I have swapped my threaded barrel and dropped
I’m my gen 5 17 barrel and it shoots nice
Are the Glock Gen 4 recoil springs compatible?
I bought this same gun today and I cannot wait to go shoot it.
😎🤘. I'm looking forward to getting my MR920L
Shoots great. Changed out the sights to Dawson Precision and mag release (gen 5 Glock). The back straps are cool. Magwell is very slim which I like. Feels a little smaller than a 19 even though they are the same size. Grip is nice, like the beavertail. Would recommend buying one used.
They got them at my local gun shop for $549, I'm really considering picking one up tomorrow.
Hey @Hammer Striker, I don't like the blackout rears either, so I mod my Trijicon irons by flooding the top anti-glare serration with a white oil-based ultra-fine Sharpie.
Gives you a nice white line to line up the top of the front dot with, but without adding a lot of clutter to your sight picture. Give it a try, hope it helps! Love it on my Shield Plus daily CCW gun. Helped tremendously in bright daylight.
I'm a "new shooter", and so far have found the blacked out rear sight to be beneficial for me when compared to conventional 3-dot sights.
that is a nice gun
Just bought the CR 920 yesterday
Just curious, did you get the old barrel or the new? And hows it running?
@@920WASHBURN new and it ran just fine for 100 rounds
An employee at the range let me try his. He said if you're involved in a defensive shooting & the police take your gun, Shadow gives you another one. I don't know if there is a time limit or if it's until you get your gun back. I haven't checked if that is correct because I am not getting one, yet. Ha.
If your use of your SS pistol is deemed legally justified to the satisfaction of SS, but the pistol is not returned to you, SS will replace your pistol free of charge
@@920WASHBURN yes and it states that in the manual.
@@920WASHBURNdoes that count if you bought it used?
@@tylaw6173 good question. Idk
I would like to see if the grip angle is better than the Glock... ie: More like the 1911 grip angle which, in my opinion is perfect, I have a G23 Glock, but I had Robare Ind. in Phoenix, AZ change the grip to a 1911 angle. Expensive? Yes, but worth it. That was way before the flood of better Glock repops.
One of the back straps is specifically a 1911 angle. The other 2 are a Glock and the last is like a smith
I like beaver tail.
Anyone know of a reputable company for milling optics cut on SS slides like this MR920?
So how much more long will this particular shadow system last more than a gen 4 or 5 Glock?
Since Hickok45 did Not complain about rear black out sight at 70yrs old and left eye dominant ….maybe you just need to get better 😉
The mossberg MC2c is also 416 SS slide
And barrel
Around 5:50, when you load the gun, I noticed that the barrel tilts upward a little bit. The one that I just got has the exact same problem. Is that normal?
Yes, it's part of the design
@@youngboyharless9769 Okay glad to hear that! I just got one as well, and also noticed this. I thought that my used gun had something wrong. Glad to know that my assumption was wrong. Thanks!
@@charlesli2951 no problem man, it's a common design in many polymer handguns. Part of the lug design of the barrel. It's usually more pronounced on smaller handguns like the m&p shield or something of that size.
I accidentally bought this one instead of the elite so I don’t have an optic cut now I’m fucked. I can’t return the gun and can’t find any slides for optics to replace it.
I don’t know if you still own this gun, but if you do, maybe sending the slide off to a company to get cut for an optic might be an option. Of course you’d be limited to a specific footprint, such as Trijicon RMR, Leupold Delta Point Pro, or Holosun, just to name a few. You might consider contacting Vulcan Machinewerks in Texas, if this is something you’d consider. Best of luck.😎✌️

Can’t show the fun mags on youtube anymore? Dang
Yeah that bit left me with a raised eyebrow.. I'd never heard that before.
Snippet from one of their pages of rules: "Content featuring large capacity magazines (30 rounds or more) attached or separate from a gun"
the $1000 versions were the elite ones, the combat one you have in the video is about $400 less.
How is the grip angle? That's a deal breaker for me. I shoot non-Glocks great. VP9 , Canik, SIG 226,229, Beretta 92.
The grip angle is swappable three ways. “Medium” back strap will get you the grip you need. The “large” gets a Glock and the smallest is a 1911 angle.
The different grip changes are really good, I’m very impressed with the grip change on my DR920. Glock could really learn something from this.
@@shooterscott I would probably get a Glock if they could implement backstraps similar to the SS. The grip angle and blackstrap system on Glocks are just terrible.
How does the polymer frame compare to glock’s polymer it sounds brittle.
Magwell def feels cheap but the rest is solid
It's actually Jennifer
Gen 4
This pistol retails rn in Colorado for 670$
475 shipped at kygunco this week, got the ugly FDE version for around 440 I think.
Respectfully, why is it that all of the RUclipsrs didn’t experience malfunction now, I have seen some people who have experienced multiple up to 1000 rounds I just have to scratch my head
They fixed the issue?
Absolutely DON'T LIKE the way the beaver tail STICKS OUT... but that's just me
Agreed! The beaver tail looks like they forgot to finish the gun design and just gave up.
If you're brave enough, it can be dremel'd off.
It makes a dramatic difference in recoil management.
1st. Give me a cookie
You get two cookies
Ok oatmeal raisin
Sounds good 👌

I hate that the magazine is not flush just like the Glock 19
Is it because of the pmag? I wonder if it was a factory Glock mag if it would look better
It looks like clone of a Ruger security 9 and a Glock gen 4..
mossberg mc2c i still think is better for the price
