If Glocks came with the same grip angle, had the same metal factory sights, and the same trigger as M&P 2.0’s…..I would have never switched to M&P’s, but I’m glad I did.
Great points. I own several Glocks and appreciate them for their reliability and utility. That being said, the ergonomics of the MNP and the newest Trigger work very well. I appreciate you watching and commenting and hope you will subscribe.
I've owned Glocks for over 30 years and love my Glocks. This looks like a very good upgrade that should probably come standard on a new Glock. The Glock is still a great fighting pistol but they are falling behind other makers in terms of trigger and other features that are now stnadard on other makers pistols.
100% agree. Glock has failed to innovate and create better offerings! SOme many other brands continue to do new and better things with their products, I think Glock won't sell this installed in their pistol. First they want to sell add ons, next they know that many people whop buy pistols do get training or practice as much is needed to master trigger management. My assumption is they're covering the butts from liability standpoint to some degree. So if the user buys this upgraded trigger, they can say any NDs are the fault of the user... of course this is always the case anyway. Thanks for commenting.
I'm curious about your what is said in your last sentence. Setting aside the subject of this video, what features are you referring to that other guns have that Glock does not? I'm just curious, because I really like the Glock pistol, especially the Gen 5 model, and there really isn't much else that I would like. I do like this upgraded trigger, but honestly, I didn't have an issue with the stock trigger. I am asking this question because I read tons of comments where guys are saying "Glock is failing to innovate," and I really don't see what else they can do other than to stop using the shitty plastic sights. It seems fashionable for some manufacturers to to introduce "Gucci" guns with features I don't want or need.
I just installed the new trigger in my G45 last night. Though I haven't shot the gun as of yet, I really like it, but I don't think that I would pay the $99.00 Glock rate for it. I purchased mine for $65.00 during a Christmas sale, and that is about all that I am willing to pay.
@AverageGIJoeOutdoors my SWAT team is transitioning to this performance trigger. But we get a lot more trigger time than standard cops. I agree that most cops don’t shoot enough. It’s sad. An old head once told me he doesn’t have to practice because he always shoots good during qualifications.
I’m a Leo of 28yrs, LE Firearms Instructor & Idpa Master Class shooter. I run a Glock perf. trigger on a 17Mos for Idpa. I’m probably at the 1k rd mark too. No problems, breaks at 4lbs. I do clean & lube my gun. The thing I really like about this trigger for me, when it breaks it really stays on target. The OE trigger always has that twitch when it breaks. With a red dot you can really see it. I saw where Ben Stoeger had problems, but he doesn’t clean or lube his guns. 🤪 I like this trigger, just wish it had the Overwatch Polydat flat shoe 👍🏻🇺🇸
Sir, thank you so much for commenting. Also, I appreciate your service as a LEO. Proper maintenance of any firearm is essential. I know people like to believe that Glocks don’t require any lubrication, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Yes, they can put up with a lot of miss treatment, but they operate for more efficiently if they have the proper maintenance performed. I appreciate you commenting and hope you will subscribe if you haven’t already.
I’m looking at buying a Glock performance trigger as well. Stoeger mentioned how he wasn’t a fan because they need cleaned every 3-4k rounds… he’s an anomaly though. I shoot idpa and USPSA, the 3-4k round cleaning thing is just once a year for me.
i tryed the performance trigger and i used it in idpa but.. i ended going back to the old oem trigger.. it has a crisper break for me and i like it more because it felt more secure to me in order to use it in all situation like carrying the gun ..
Sir, thank you for sharing your perspective. I’ve heard that from a few people. It really is a matter of what the operator feels comfortable and proficient with. I appreciate you commenting and hope you will consider subscribing to the channel.
Owned several glocks within the past 10 years. G17 3/4/5. G23 4. G27 4. G34 4 G21 4. Shot the heck out of them in those years. To me in my experience I always found the -3.5 lbs connector to work best in gen 3 models. I had a minus connector in the 17 gen 5 with no difference. Noticed an improvement in the g21 gen4 with a Oem minus connector and runs great. As for better enhanced performance systems and aftermarket assemblies. Yes they work and are improvement for sure. I have seen individuals with these systems shoot well during courses and match’s. With this said and I have no experience with the new glock trigger system whatsoever, but have had firearms upgraded specifically the G34 4. 17.4 & 23.4. Triggers, springs, flat faced shoes you name it The one thing I didn’t like, was how quick it broke through the wall. I always found when presenting the firearm out of holster and staging the trigger with a decent wall have better control and shot placement per single shot. Because of this I run the glocks stock. After 2000+ rounds they loosen up nicely you really get use to the Oem triggers. Yes there a tad heavy but that gives you the control we need. Several occasions, not an accidental discharge by any means because it was pointed in safe directions down range, but found trigger systems that were upgraded after presenting the firearm out of holster The shot would break way too quickly leaving you saying wow 😅 I stopped upgrading triggers in glocks when you had a video showing a GEN2 19 that you’re retired and kept as a backpack gun not sure if you remember that video I can keep on rambling on your shooting is great and your groups are nice and tight well done Ps I’ve been using your Dot drill that I took from one of your videos way back. Works so well. As always, keep up the great work
Thanks for sharing your insight and perspective. Trigger feel and the way each person uses them are really subjective. You raise many excellent points that are relevant and important to consider. Thanks for sharing this with us!
@@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC I own Smith and Wesson Sig Ruger Canik Cz Just got the Springfield it’s a nice shooter I hope my wife doesn’t read this she says I have to many lol.
@@Lakanen263 Good selections. How many do you need? Just a few more! You never have too many. I used to tell my wife the firearms would procreate in the gun safe and that was out of my control!
I picked one up and finally got to shoot it out of my G26 gen 5 yesterday and not only did it "feel" better, my groups had improved. Very well worth it in my hands.
I’ve tried 3 different triggers and i went with Johnny Glocks Evolution Combat trigger system with the JG Vex flat trigger shoe and striker. Excellent trigger pull and reset!
I work for a manufacturer in a different industry but am a Glock certified gunsmith and owner. My thoughts are: 1. Glock has existing orders for parts and such so that they cant or it would be cost prohibitive to change Gen 5. 2. They waited for Timney and others to develop alternate triggers adn learned from them, both the mistakes and successes. 3. They rolled out their own for 9mm (most common platform) and get to see how it is received and works. 4. Then they can develop them for other calibers if it works right and is received well. 5. Then it will be one of the changes you will see in Gen 6. (Justifes a future new generation) So I think this is part of a prodcut development process that is a reaction to the “you really arent developing the guns when Gen 5 came out” and is a significant enough change to justify a Gen 6.
I had a stock Glock 45 for a while and I enjoyed the way it shoots and feels. I think out of the box glocks, especially the gen 5s are solid. I now have some trijicon hd sights on it and the new Glock performance trigger and I can confidently say the performance trigger is an upgrade to the standard trigger, is it a huge difference, no, but I do find myself with better groups than before I installed it, the upgraded sights help out too. But even it is stock configuration, the Glock 45 is a great gun.
Yes, I couldn’t agree with you more. I really have found this pistol one of my favorite Glocks . And the performance trigger is a vast improvement over the stock trigger. I appreciate you watching and commenting and I hope you will subscribe and share the channel with friends and family.
Thanks for a great review. I just bought mine for a G34 Gen5. Do you have any recommendations for a better sight than the stock? I want to change what on my G21 Gen3. Thanks!
Most aftermarket Glock triggers can only change the feel of the trigger shoe (flat faced, metal) and you can reduce the trigger pull weight by changing three springs inside it (and likely screwing its reliability and safety). Changing to a 3.5lbs connector is the most I did with my Glocks. The biggest problem with Glock triggers (and most striker fired pistols) is the mushy trigger and the lack of a defined wall, not the pull weight. What separates Glock’s performance trigger from the rest is the fact that it adds a SEAR to the mechanism, finally giving it a defined wall. This is the first time I’m excited to change the trigger on a Glock, too bad it is not compatible with Gen3 and wife framed Gen4.
Excellent points. Thank you so much for taking the time to share that with the subscribers. I hope you will consider subscribing to the channel and sharing it with friends and family.
You can shave down the ejector housing on the bottom to get it to fit and work, i forgot who posted it but there’s a here on RUclips on a guy who did it. I doubt it fit a large frame Gen 4 tho
@@TheGennessy yup. It’s actually simple, requiring two small modifications: 1- First you just have to remove a little material from the base of the polymer component of the trigger assembly and it will fit the frame. 2- Next step in order to make it work on a gen3 is to dremel a small square on the backplate at the level of the ejector (making it like the gen4 backplate). I believe Johnny Glock made a video on this.
I don't know if this is a Gen4-only problem, but I had a GPT in my Gen4 G19 recently, and was cycling dummy rounds through. I had a few hang up and not feed (yeah, I was cycling it with vigor). I took a close look. The firing pin with the GPT was free floating, and could easily protrude from the frame (as in primer strike mode) and the dummy round was getting hung up on that as it slid up and out of the magazine. Did a quick change to test the basic trigger and not such firing pin action or problem handing up on rounds. For a Gen4, I'm out of the GPT game!
Sir, thank you so much for sharing your experience. This is the reason comments are so important. I’ve had no problem with the GEN five but sounds like there is an issue with the GEN four version. Thank you for watching and commenting. I hope you will subscribe to the channel and share it with friends and family.
Sir, I would love to see the Glock Performance trigger in all the new pistols. Unfortunately, I think due to liability concerns they stick with the heavier 5.5 -6.5 lb trigger weights.
I bought the Performance Trigger and found it too light for my liking. I then watched the Johnny Glock video on putting a + connector (8 lb) connector on it so it wouldn’t “cook one off” in the heat of the moment, which made sense with me. I swapped out the connector to a + connector and I would carry this on my 19 anytime. Well done video.
I just put one in my G17 that had been worked over by Johnny Glocks and it makes all the difference in the world. Less take up and virtually no over travel. As an aside, I noticed you have a Vickers Tactical grip plug takedown tool on your G45. I’ve always wanted just a little bit more to hang onto on my G19. I found if I dremel the ridge off the bottom of that it gives my hand another 1/2 inch to grip. It actually feels much better. I’ve been a fan of yours for a while and appreciate the quality videos you put out. Great work sir.
The Glock Performance Trigger might be some thing for you. Also, people do swap out the trigger shoe that seems to meet the standards of some people who really just don’t like the standard Glock equipment.
I don’t have the performance trigger in any of my Glocks, but I dot have one with a Zev trigger that has been polished up. I really like the Zev so far. Mine comes in right at 3.7 lbs. my stock gen 5 trigger that was advertised just over 5 lbs came in at 7.3 in our testing.
Billy, thank you so much for watching and sharing your feedback. I’ve not tried the Zev trigger but it sounds really nice. I owned a SV custom for a while and it was a beautiful handgun in terms of looks design and ergonomics. However, I didn’t find it significantly better than some of my Glocks that I modified. And, I do know several people like yourself who have the trigger and think the world of it. Definitely something I have to try one of these days! Thanks for commenting I hope you will subscribe and share the channel with friends and family. Stay safe.
The best trigger setup in a Glock is a GPT with the JG vex shoe that is tuned for the performance trigger. The GPT is great but it has a long reset, the JG vex shoe shortens the take up and really shortens the reset. It’s amazing. It will also work in gen3 glocks with minor modifications to the trigger housing “feet” I have it in my gen 3 compatible P80 build and it’s been rock solid nearing 1500 rounds and multiple competitions/uspsa matches. Definitely give it a shot
David, thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate you sharing the set up that works for you and sounds like it’s very effective with the new trigger shoot. If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll consider subscribing and sharing the channel with friends and family. Again, thank you for taking the time to comment.
Sir, thank you so much for asking the question. I don’t have a big CD collection. I am actually a classically trained Trumpet Player and used to do a lot of performing and teaching. These days I work in sales and of course as a firearm instructor. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and hope you will subscribe to the channel and share it with friends and family.
Hello there after installing the Performance trigger I had a double fire issue. Being very careful with the last 50 rounds, it did it again. Has anybody else had this issue of double fire?
Sir, I have not heard of that situation before. I would recommend removing the Performance trigger and sending that unit back to Clock. It sounds like there’s something very wrong with it. I’ve shot approximately 1200 rounds through it since purchasing it without any issues whatsoever. It certainly has a lighter pull that the stock trigger. Please share what happens once you send it back to Glock. I appreciate you watching it commenting and hope you will subscribe.
My understanding is there are two versions of the GPT. Version 1 was Gen 5 only. Version 2 included a backplate for Gen 4 Glocks and minor improvements.
Sir, thank you for commenting. I put around 470 rounds through it in a fairly short two hour range session. I have multiple Glock magazines in 17 and 19 round versions. I had about 300 rounds loaded in the magazines and shot those without issue. A Glock like any other pistol needs lubrication. And occasional cleaning. I’ve had no issue with this trigger through high round training sessions. However, I always give light lube to the pistol for any areas that might have friction points. I’ve run other Glock pistols, 2000 rounds without cleaning, but I’ve always made sure that the gun is lubricated. I have never heard of an issue with the Glock performance trigger not resetting. Certainly it’s possible, but I’ve just not experienced it. I believe regular maintenance , especially lubrication is important with any firearm and use that as my standard. Hopefully that feedback helps. I certainly appreciate you watching and commenting and hope you will subscribe to the channel and share it with friends and family. Stay safe.
Absolutely it’s a drop-in trigger. Nothing special is needed. You’re just replacing the trigger mechanism with the parts.com. This is a Glock factory trigger as well so it doesn’t void your warranty.
I have a gen 2 G20, and a gen 3 G34. I put a glock store pyramid trigger in the 34 to shorten stroke, smoother but same stroke distance, also have 3.0 yikes conn. Other than the long stroke i like the way it feels. Im looking for a trigger with a shorter stroke, want to get rid of the anticipation. anticipation
Thank you for the question. There’s not as much of a wall as you get with a standard clock trigger. It’s more of a roll through than a take up and a break. That being said, the trigger brakes further forward, and the trigger pull itself is much lighter. I know some people don’t like that and prefer heavier triggers, but for people who are trained and experience and know how to keep their finger off the trigger until they made a decision to shoot, this is really a nice option. By the way, if you enjoy our content and haven’t subscribed already, I hope you might do that. We are trying to hit the 100,000 subscriber mark and are very close. @@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for a rolling brake that the Ghost Edge 3.5 connector gives you. You should try the Ghost Angel 3.0 connector. It claims to do everything the Ghost Edge 3.5 does plus shorten the take up. Yes I did subscribe to the channel.
Actually, I’m sure there’s some instructional videos on RUclips. It’s very easy to do. Detail stripping the Glock is the easiest of any pistol I’ve ever owned. Because the Glock Performance Trigger is a drop in part, essentially, you’re taking the existing trigger, and simply dropping the new one in. However, I’m sure you could get a gunsmith to do it for you. It literally takes 2 to 3 minutes. Hope this helps!
Any thoughts on running a standard connector with the GPT to make it more "carry" friendly? And any concerns with it being fully tensioned from a drop safety perspective?
Thanks for the question. Since this trigger and all parts are made by Glock, I'm not worried about the drop safety issue. Glock has too much potential liability if they didn't' do extensive testing on that before releasing this. For me I'm not concerned about having a specific pistol with a heavier "carry trigger" though many people want that. I think this is more of a training issue that a trigger weight issue. At the same time, I know not everyone has the time or money to train and practice extensively so they have completely mastered trigger management and trigger control. For people concerned about that then they could experiment with different connector and heavier springs. I've not tried the stock connector with the rest of the assembly, but that might be a solution for people wanting a more specific cross over carry / competition trigger. Thanks for watching!
Do you recommend GPT for EDC ( with one in the chamber)? since the GPT transform Glock trigger system to fully cocked from the original pre cocked striker action by the way your channel is my go to trustworthy in terms of shooting skills and firearm safety cheers🍻
Sir, thank you for watching,. Triggers are very subjective. I am not a legal expert nor can I give you advice. I will say that for someone with extensive training and a high level of efficiency, I think this trigger is totally fine. However, for those that do not have the trigger discipline and the skills to operate under extreme stress, I would stick with the stock trigger. I Very much appreciate you commenting and hope you will consider subscribing and sharing the channel with friends and family. Also, thank you for your kind words about the channel.
You are 100% correct. After you press the trigger (assuming the slide has been cycled). the trigger return to the previous position. But this don't reset the striker. Thanks for commenting. I hope you'll subscribe.
I'm definitely gonna have to get one for my Gen 5 26 MOS from Brownells for around $90 . I've shot Glocks for 25 years and only performance trigger I have is a Johnny Glocks trigger in my Glock 48 MOS and I wouldn't carry it even though it's absolutely amazing; just like stock for carry high stress situations I never want. God bless.
Thank you for watching. I highly doubt Glock will upgrade their stock trigger. In today’s world all manufacturers are worried about being unjustly sued for the stupidity of a user. Glock sells this as an aftermarket part allowing the user to upgrade. Obviously, I have no idea what clock will do but that’s what I suspect. Thanks again for commenting. If you haven’t already, I hope you will subscribe to the channel and share it with friends and family.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I had not heard that. I put about 900 rounds through the gun over a couple of range sessions and experienced nothing different in the trigger. Keep in mind I did not clean pistol at any time during those two sessions. Therefore I’m not sure what you mean the trigger changes when the pistol is dirty. I will definitely keep a close eye on this to see if I experience any issues with the trigger when it gets dirty. Thanks for sharing!
Canik owner before my first G45, I really loved Canik by my glock45 is just made for my hands. But the stock trigger is attrocious compared to my tp9. Just installed the new trigger and it feels like a breeze now !!
Sir, thank you for watching and commenting. Yes the performance trigger is definitely an improvement. Once again, thank you for watching. I hope you will consider subscribing to the channel and sharing it with friends and family.
Great question. Your best source would be go directly to the glock website and put in glock Performance Trigger. I believe right now it’s only available in the Gen 5 versions. Hope this helps.
I think you’ll really enjoy it. The folks I know who have it think it’s a great upgrade for not much money. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I hope you will subscribe.
The 4.5" G17C Gen4 barrel is sweeter. Installing the trigger today ✌️ The Performance Trigger is $99. When you purchase a new Glock and register it with Glock Warranty Dept. , they give you a 20% discount coupon for the Glock USA store. So that's $20 off. The P trigger kit now fits Gen 4 and Gen5 . Not for single stack Glock models.
Ive read some say that keeping a stock 5.5 glock trigger for self defense is ideal. But this upgrade looks really sweet for someone with multiple glocks
Sir, thank you for watching in commenting. I think a lot of people are concerned about potential liability. Some people are concerned that having a trigger that isn’t a stock factory trigger would expose them in a way they are concerned about. My view is slightly different. My perspective is if you were properly trained and can document that training as well as regular practice and examples of your proficiency, having a enhanced trigger is not necessarily a liability. Please understand I’m not an attorney and I’m not giving legal advice. The reality is trigger and proper. Trigger management is a training and practice issue. If someone cannot keep their finger off the trigger in till they made a conscious decision to shoot that yes, having a modified trigger might make a difference. On the other hand, if you have the training, skills and proficiency, it is not in my mind an issue. For me, it really comes down to training and proficiency. Too many people modify their pistols, but don’t practice or actually get formalized trading. Without those I think you expose yourself to more potential liability. Thanks so much for coming and watching. I hope you will subscribe.
@@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC I can only comment as a person who was unjustly prosecuted several years ago, and made it through that experience without a conviction. When you're being prosecuted, you enter a bizarro world where everything is upside down. If there's no evidence of guilt, a prosecutor will try to whip up the appearance of guilt, because often that's enough to get a conviction. Absolutely everything you have said or done will be presented as dishonest, indicative of guilt, or at the very least, suspicious. One example for you. In my case, I was accused of driving onto private property in hours of darkness for the purpose of committing a crime. Turns out, the area was under 24/7 video surveillance. So if my car wasn't there, that's good for me, right? Not really. I sat in a hearing where my attorney asked a police officer if the recorded video showed my car entering the area. No....my car was not visible, but the video was pretty dark, the officer said. Well then, were there any car headlights seen on this dark video? No, the officer answered, no lights. The DA rose from his seat to claim that despite there being zero video evidence, my car must have been there with the headlights turned off. When my attorney offered evidence that this was impossible....my vehicle had daytime running lamps that could not be deactivated....the prosecutor claimed that somehow I must have both disabled my headlights AND driven to a place where no vehicle was visible. So here's a piece of evidence that should have cleared me, but they found a way to twist it into an implausible scenario that nevertheless implied guilt. All that to say....if we're strictly talking about legal ramifications, there's no way in hell I would modify a trigger on a self defense firearm. When they say "anything you say can and will be used against you", they mean it.
Sir, thank you so much for watching and commenting. I personally do not have any concerns about using it for every day Carrie. However, some people do not like upgrading or improving their trigger. To me, it really comes down to the operators, level of training, skill, and proficiency. if the operator does not have the trigger management skills to stay off the trigger until they’re ready to press the shot, then staying with a stock trigger makes a lot of sense. Thank you again for watching the video. Stay safe.
It’s certainly not a perfect trigger, but I would imagine you could do your own polishing. Thank you for watching and commenting. I hope you will subscribe to the channel and share it with friends and family.
There's no problem with the Glock 45 commander size. People forget that the HK VP9, HK P30, SIG P320 Carry/M18 are the same configuration. 4"ish barrel, compact slide, and full-size size grip.
Hoping they make one for Gen 4 17/19, and the 43/43x in the near future. I’ve seen this trigger as low as $69.00 which is pretty good for a factory option that you can 100% trust.
Sir, thank you so much for commenting. I couldn’t agree more. I think this trigger is an excellent addition, especially for people who have the training, skills and proficiency to use this type of trigger. If you haven’t already, I hope you will subscribe to the channel.
I would love to see Glock offer 6-7lbs connectors so you can adjust your pull weight between 3.5 to 6lbs for competition or carry. The 8lbs connector is too heavy.
The stock trigger connector in most Glock pistols breaks at 5.5 to 6 pounds. So at the very least you could drop in the GPT and keep the stock trigger assembly for carry if you want. It's very easy to swap out asembly. Takes no more than 2-3 minutes. Thanks for commenting.
Hello and thank you for commenting. I agree the Glock 45 is a fine pistol. If you haven’t already, I hope you will subscribe to the channel and share it with friends and family.
Don't own any Gen 5s yet. However, I'm guessing Glock will release a version with this trigger as standard. Think I'd rather wait for that to happen before buying a Gen 5 only to have to spend extra money to throw in this trigger.
Sir, I couldn’t agree with you more. I called the Glock plastic sites “site holders“. There’s simply some thing that I replace immediately on any Glock pistol I own. I also agree it would be wonderful if Glock provided better triggers. However, their stock triggers aren’t bad as long as, the operator uses them enough to break them in properly. I found this occurs after about 1000 rounds. I appreciate you commenting and hope you will consider subscribing to the channel.
I too have had many Glocks over the years and it wasn't until I hit my 50's I decided to give it a try. The first thing that worried me about the Glock Performance Trigger is the instructions mentioned a Glock professional must install this piece. Well....what the heck?! It also came with a rubber band and zero instructions on how to handle this rubber band dilemma. I carefully removed the rubber band keeping a strong grip on the whole unit. I carefully dropped it into place and once the pin was secured in the handle, I knew I was good to go! It shoots better than expected and I love knowing its a Glock OEM part, thanks Glock.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I agree it’s a huge improvement. Anyone who’s done any work on a Glock knows how easy it is to install parts. Based on your experience, you are a Glock professional! I believe Glock just adds that wording to protect them in the event of any liability from some idiot doing something stupid. Once again, thank you for watching. I hope you will consider subscribing and sharing the channel with friends and family.
I bought 2 of them. One I put in my G19 MOS and the other one in my G26 MOS and I also think it's much better than the stock trigger. With holosun red dots on both guns I'm able to be more accurate at 25 yds and my rapid fire shots at 10 yds are tighter groups. I think it's also not too light of a trigger for carry. Long term durability will likely be good because the parts appear to be robust. As with anything on Glocks it's super easy to install yourself.
My G17 trigger is wonderful. SHooting the pistol so much has smoothed out the trigger ... its amazing. However, the trigger breaks farther back, has a longer take up and has more overtravel. The GPT breaks farther forward and has less overtravel. I'm not switching the G17's trigger. That pistol is very special to me as is my Gen 2 Glock 19. Thanks for commenting.
Sir, that is an excellent choice. I appreciate you watching and commenting. I hope you will take some time to check out our other content and if you enjoy what you’re seeing, I hope you will subscribe and share it with friends and family.
Hey Skip, yes, Glock is one of those brands that gets people worked up sometimes. As I’ve stated on numerous occasions, I am agnostic about the brand for make provided. It’s reliable and durable. I have great respect and appreciation for the Glock pistols. I really enjoy comments from prescribers, especially when they have different perspectives from mine. I find that very valuable and appreciate the time that people like you put into watching our videos as well as commenting. Hope you are doing well in the beautiful state of New Hampshire. Say hello to the folks we both know. Best regards.
I completely agree. It’s a very good Glock trigger that doesn’t void the warranty and definitely improves the performance of the handgun. Thank you so much for watching. I hope you will subscribe and share the channel with friends and family. We have lots of content that might be of interest to you.
The trigger travels further after reset. So your demonstration is inaccurate. The reset is longer when actually shooting, comparable to a standard trigger. Worse yet, many of the common mods to eliminate trigger over-travel are less advisable with this trigger as you could end up with a dead trigger in a bad moment.
Many thanks for your comments and perspective. I do feel this trigger is faster when resetting the trigger in recoil… at least for me. However, your feedback are important for each user to consider. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Sir, thank you for commenting. I agree with you the CZ - P10 is really a fine pistol. I appreciate you watching and hope you will consider subscribing to the channel and sharing it with friends and family.
My favorite Glock has had a grip reduction which changes the angle of it, placing it much more in line with the natural Griff angle of a 1911 or the Smith & Wesson MNP 9mm handguns . That being said, the Glock 45 with the performance trigger and radian, arms ramjet and afterburner is a pistol I’ve been shooting a lot. I’ve got somewhere between 1500 and 2000 rounds through the pistol. The key point with any brand or make is to find one that works for you and then get training and practice as much as you can afford to! Thanks so much for watching. If you haven’t already I hope you will consider subscribing and sharing the channel with friends and family.
Thanks for watching. What's your prefered brand? I'm agnostic about the brand as long as it's a quality manufacturer that has a track record for reliability and durability. I own Sigs, Berettas, Glocks, CZs, Brownings, M&Ps . All do the job! Looking forward to getting your perspective on what brands and models you prefer. All the best and stay safe.
Great video, and the Glock Performance Trigger looks like something that I’ll have to look into getting. The rough part about that is if I like it (and I most likely will) I’ll have to put one in several Glocks ….. $$$. Thanks for the info, and be well! - Jason/Freedom Fighter Until Death/Vermont, FRA (‘FRA’, meaning “The Failed Republic Of America”)

@@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLCthe mp 2.0 seems to need a match barrel
I've owned Glocks for over 30 years and love my Glocks. This looks like a very good upgrade that should probably come standard on a new Glock. The Glock is still a great fighting pistol but they are falling behind other makers in terms of trigger and other features that are now stnadard on other makers pistols.
100% agree. Glock has failed to innovate and create better offerings! SOme many other brands continue to do new and better things with their products,
I think Glock won't sell this installed in their pistol.
@AverageGIJoeOutdoorsWhat are you even talking about lol? So many inaccuracies. Generalize much?

That staying on target at the break is what has always bothered me about my Glock triggers. I’ll be buying one to try.
@@Snowball042I have a gen 5 glock 20 and the only thing I changed was the safety plunger and got the dot 5 np3 and that eliminated the twitch

With a gen 3 conector its very nice. Adds about 0.5 pound but has a better break and reset. You can also go to a plus conector.
Owned several glocks within the past 10 years. G17 3/4/5. G23 4. G27 4. G34 4
G21 4.
Triggers, springs, flat faced shoes you name it
The one thing I didn’t like, was how quick it broke through the wall.
Several occasions, not an accidental discharge by any means because it was pointed in safe directions down range, but found trigger systems that were upgraded after presenting the firearm out of holster The shot would break way too quickly leaving you saying wow 😅
I stopped upgrading triggers in glocks when you had a video showing a GEN2 19 that you’re retired and kept as a backpack gun not sure if you remember that video
I can keep on rambling on your shooting is great and your groups are nice and tight well done
Ps I’ve been using your Dot drill that I took from one of your videos way back. Works so well.
As always, keep up the great work

I work for a manufacturer in a different industry but am a Glock certified gunsmith and owner. My thoughts are:
(Justifes a future new generation)
So I think this is part of a prodcut development process that is a reaction to the “you really arent developing the guns when Gen 5 came out” and is a significant enough change to justify a Gen 6.
Nice to have a good factory option.
We agree! Glock has been really slow to innovate and this ios a good factory upgrade.
Is it a more define wall? I find in my gen 5 Glock 45&34 with the oem minus connector it’s a much more of a rolling break
Thanks for sharing your insights.

How is the trigger reach compared to stock? Timney reduced the reach to the point that it doesn't work for me.
The same reach for me. I really like!
It’s actually simple, requiring two small modifications:
1- First you just have to remove a little material from the base of the polymer component of the trigger assembly and it will fit the frame.
Nice job Glock, make us pay extra for a trigger that should be a standard in every Glock pistol.
Sir, I would love to see the Glock Performance trigger in all the new pistols. Unfortunately, I think due to liability concerns they stick with the heavier 5.5 -6.5 lb trigger weights.
I really like the finish Glock used on the Gen 5 models. I’ve been a long time subscriber from NH. Thanks for the great content!
Sir, many thanks for following the channel and for your kind words.
Good shooting on your targets. I also print off the dot torcher target and yours looks much better than mine.
Nicely done. I like my GPT. I don’t notice much difference in dry fire but I see the differences in live. Mine has been 100 percent reliable.
I hear good things about the Jonny Glocks triggers! Thanks for commenting.
Thank's for the great review. I'm picking up a Glock 45 next week and was shopping trigger replacements as I don't like Glock triggers

Did your trigger performance came with a back plate ??? Because mine did ?
Any info on that ????
No sir, no back plate.
My understanding is there are two versions of the GPT. Version 1 was Gen 5 only. Version 2 included a backplate for Gen 4 Glocks and minor improvements.
Is it true that it needs to be lubed every thousand shots? Or that it gets dirty and won't reset ?
Stay safe.
Thanks, this was very helpful. looking at the Glock website my pistol is so old I'm not sure this trigger will drop in, but I'll find out.

Does the new Glock trigger have a wall or no wall and its a rolling brake?
Thank you for the question. There’s not as much of a wall as you get with a standard clock trigger. It’s more of a roll through than a take up and a break. That being said, the trigger brakes further forward, and the trigger pull itself is much lighter. I know some people don’t like that and prefer heavier triggers, but for people who are trained and experience and know how to keep their finger off the trigger until they made a decision to shoot, this is really a nice option.

I want to try one on my Glock 45. No experience in switching triggers so not sure I can do it? Probably better to let an experienced person do it.
Appreciate your thoughts!@@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

Any concerns with using this trigger in a EDC gun?
Sir, thank you so much for watching and commenting. I personally do not have any concerns about using it for every day Carrie. However, some people do not like upgrading or improving their trigger.
To me, it really comes down to the operators, level of training, skill, and proficiency. if the operator does not have the trigger management skills to stay off the trigger until they’re ready to press the shot, then staying with a stock trigger makes a lot of sense.
Thank you again for watching the video. Stay safe.
I REEEEEEEALLY want to try one of these with a polished dot connector.... I'm thinking it'll be what I've wanted out of a Glock trigger since day one.
It’s certainly not a perfect trigger, but I would imagine you could do your own polishing.

Thanks for commenting.
where id the 3 pin triggers
The Glock 45 goes back to the original Gen 1 and 2 9 mm designs. Those pistols did not have the third pin.
good vid thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I have a g45 w/ the performance trigger! 45 is deff the best Glock
Hello and thank you for commenting. I agree the Glock 45 is a fine pistol.
If you haven’t already, I hope you will subscribe to the channel and share it with friends and family.
Throw the radian ramjet and afterburner on there and you'll really be impressed. Yes, it's worth the $.
I've looked at it but the price seems so whacky. I'll think about it though. Thanks for commenting. Hope you'll subscribe!
Don't own any Gen 5s yet. However, I'm guessing Glock will release a version with this trigger as standard. Think I'd rather wait for that to happen before buying a Gen 5 only to have to spend extra money to throw in this trigger.
Good idea!
If they’ve improved the trigger it should be in all new guns. But then again all new guns should have metal night sights.

As always thank you for the great videos really appreciate your channel 👏🏻
Glad you like them!
I paid 60 bucks for mine. Yes, It was worth the money.
Good deal! Thank you for watching. I hope you will subscribe.
Thanks for sharing this. All the best and stay safe.
Interesting, Your older 17 should have a good trigger if you have been shooting it since the early nineties.
Glock 17 Gen 5. ❤
Sir, that is an excellent choice.

Thought about it. Passed. Stopped and saw Johnny Glock in person.
Thanks for commenting.
Too bad they don't make this for the G21/41
Yes, Glock is slow to innovate!
Do you find that just mentioning "Glock" nets more views and comments? It's something most have strong reactions to.
Hope you are doing well
in the beautiful state of New Hampshire. Say hello to the folks we both know. Best regards.
Yes... yes it is worth it
I completely agree.
CZ P-10
Sir, thank you for commenting. I agree with you the CZ - P10 is really a fine pistol.
I appreciate you watching and hope you will consider subscribing to the channel and sharing it with friends and family.
I like the look of my Glock. I just don't like the feel. lol.
It should came with a real flat face trigger and less travel.
Excellent idea sir.
Short answer: yes.
Yes, sir, I agree!
👍👊🔥
Thank you!
Buy a real gun instead 🔫

My approach is to use one trigger for many months before adding it to another pistol. But you might really enjoy the GPT! Thanks for watching!
Yes, worth it to me. Have the 45 and 19 mos. Have it in both.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I agree both the 19 and 45 are solid, reliable pistols!
I appreciate you commenting and watching and hope you will subscribe to the channel and share it with friends and family.
