    What a coincidence, I just started looking for an AR-10 to fill this exact role like 2 days ago, and here it is. Really excited for this.
    There's a feller working on making a 3d printed belt fed lower for an AR-15, which would be great for your LMG upper.
    It probably wouldn't be too hard to upscale it and expand on the idea to get it working with this once the 5.56 version is released.

      Awesome! That be a neat project to see! We have been wanting to do a similar lower concept, great to hear someone is getting after it!
      We are pushing hard to bring up the release date on the RECCE MMG upper. Lots of updates to come after the new year.

      I'd like to add. Would you guys collaborate with Fightlite to make a LAMG upper for the RRH Recce IAR? If you guys could figure something out, you could be the next ngsw for the USMC.

    That cyclic rate increase within a single magazine is brutal.

      It's pretty constant. A few different iphones recorded those clips so audio is kinda back and forth.

    What do you think of using small flutes in the chamber to reduce case pressure? Many roller delayed guns do that and POF also does with their ARs (they call it E2). Seems to make things much easier to the extractor with no major drawback.

    How hard would it be to install helicoils on the threads for the handguard bolts? Not sure, but it looks like Seekins might be doing this with their hg/upper lock up. (This assumes the M5 upper receiver and handguard bolt up same as Aeros enhanced M4e1 or whatever its called.)

    • @redrighthandllc
      @redrighthandllc  9 месяцев назад +2

      This is using the separate rail system from Aero. The steel barrel nut thats threaded and the rail slips on. For this purpose thats the best way to do it for now. Steel on steel is king!

    If you're holding the rifle at a 45 degree cant (gansta style) and you fire it, will the barrel whip then be horizontal or will they remain vertical? Or a diagonal?

    Too bad drum magazines don't exist for 6.5 Grendel otherwise that would be a better chambering for something like this.

    • @redrighthandllc
      @redrighthandllc  8 месяцев назад +2

      Ya, that be an awesome set up with a drum. Maybe one day someone will make a drum for that caliber/base casing. Hoping with the advent of more 6ARC and 22ARC we’ll see compatible drums or reliable high caps.

    What lower parts do you guys use? Any fancy buffer system like an a5? I know you don’t sell lowers but what do you recommend customers use with your upper?

    • @redrighthandllc
      @redrighthandllc  9 месяцев назад +2

      We use all sorts of buffer set ups for the RECCE LMGs and IARs. My favorite overall is still a Red Sprinco paired with a H3 buffer for most use on the LMG uppers.

    • @PureCountryof91
      @PureCountryof91 9 месяцев назад

      Fun fact. The a5 is an ar10 tube with a different buffer for the AR-15. The tube uses an M4 buffer with the .308 spring and is a great idea to come standard

    OK, so this is basically a heavy duty upper thaat can go on a Semi Auto or Auto Lower. Can I just buy any lower to mate with this upper or is there just a certain brand that works due to AR-10 s not being standardized?

    • @redrighthandllc
      @redrighthandllc  9 месяцев назад +2

      First version will be based off the Aero M5 which is DPMS pattern, so it will fit most DPMS pattern lowers. We will then have a another billet DPMS pattern after that and then look to do a SR25 pattern upper.

    Why not a 22" barrel, optimized for 7.62mm?

    • @redrighthandllc
      @redrighthandllc  9 месяцев назад +2

      Weld-ablity and Suppressablitly. That extra 2" is kinda pain on an AR-10 set up. 20" is just gonna suit more folks application.
