  • Introduction video to our RECCE IAR series of upper receivers. Offered in three versions, in this video we show off our V1 powered by Riflespeed Gas Controls and V2 powered by a Superlative Arms Short Stroke Piston. Both uppers feature Red Right Hand’s famous Heat Mitigation System. All RECCE IAR uppers can be ordered with either a Nitrided Barrel or Chrome-Lined Barrel. That video was using the RECCE LMG upper haha
      We have a Non-adjustable LMG upper now, it comes in at a lower price point but still maintains the HMS system. It was created to be a budget friendly version.

    Have you ever tried continious auto fire to see how long it can go?

  • @user-cu6sj6he3k
    @user-cu6sj6he3k 10 месяцев назад +1

    I see that you also have Recce LMG uppers using the V2 SA piston kit.
    In terms of performance in sustained firing and reliability, would the SA piston kit be better than the V1 DI system in that regard?
    More over, I’ve been informed that SA piston kits have their gas block mounted by set screws, any chance that the Recce uppers that utilize this system will have them pinned in place for extra rigidity?

    • @redrighthandllc
      @redrighthandllc  10 месяцев назад +3

      I think a lot of folks mis-understand the concept of sustained fire, it's only achievable largely when the weapon system is fed by belts of ammo. Auto-Rifles are not sustained fire weapons, they have magazines, which even at high capacity don't run to the same "sustained" rate of fire. Now be it, you can run a lot of ammo thru them in short order but it's not really gonna be a classic "sustained" ROF. Our uppers are built to handle multiple magazines and manage the heat better than a normal upper so they can handle those use cases of what a auto-rifle will find it's self used in.
      For the question of "DI vs Piston", both have their advantages and dis-advanatages. We offer both so folks who feel one is better can get what they want. I'll make a video on my personal thoughts on this topic, but i feel it's beating a dead horse any more in this day in age. Both systems do the task, both will do what you need them to do. It's really down to the end users preferred method.
      SA Piston are set screwed in place, the materials used have the same rate of thermal expansion as the 4150 CMV barrel steel, and they utilize a 17-4 Stainless set screw, and their super long. For installation, SA's preferred method is the set screw and long as the barrel is double dimpled to .070" and the screws have high temp tread locker and the set screws are torqued, the block isn't going anywhere. And from my testing, I agree with their advised way of install. They don't go anywhere.

    Would it be possible to use your heat sink system on a BRN4 or would there be clearance issues with the op rod clearance on that particular design?

    • @redrighthandllc
      @redrighthandllc  4 месяца назад

      We would need to make heat sinks just for that design. The clearances would be a real challenge but not impossible, but you still would need to run quad rails are larger dia mlok or we would make the heat sinks smaller but doing so lessens the effectiveness so like i say a lot, no free lunch in physics.

    • @redrighthandllc
      @redrighthandllc  10 месяцев назад +3

      No we do not due to the nature of it's install and the fitment of barrels, rails and gas systems. Current design has only a handful of rail systems, and gas blocks it's compatible with. We do do custom builds long as the parts will all play together, feel free to reach out to us on our contact form on our website if you have something in mind. We are working on a DIY kit for the future.

      @@Tex_7.62 The eco end cap was a welcomed upgrade to the eco-flow baffle tech for sure, blowback is tamed by the silencer to a degree but the barrel length, gas system and charging handles are also major factors in user experience.

      It is the MDT Cyke-Pod. Now thus far, the jury is still out on it, it leaves me wanting more from it especially for the god awful price tag. Currently, I still recommend folks check out the HD series offered by GGG, and Versa-Pod. Those will come in at a more affordable price and be well suited for the task of LMG/IAR.

    I think it's a bit disingenuous to compare a DI gun with a brake vs a piston gun with a flash hider, and then use the difference in recoil as a way to make the case against piston guns...... I have 4 AR's with Superlative Arms piston kits and none of my DI AR's shoot noticeably softer than the piston guns. Also I want to know what setting you have the piston gas block set to, because there's NO WAY you would need a red spring and a heavy hydraulic buffer to control it. Simply turn down the gas so that it locks back on empty with weak ammo.

    • @redrighthandllc
      @redrighthandllc  9 месяцев назад +3

      Well that wasn't the topic of the video. You mis-understood the two separate systems being displayed and what was being demonstrated. We offer both versions to satisfy any requirement by our customers. If the piston upper is what you think is best for you, we offer it.
      We set the piston IARs to the SA specified settings for normal operation, on average they run best on setting 20.
      My example is a Machine gun, it really likes the Kyn-shot Buffer and red sprinco, and it preforms for me the best with that set up. Comparison was showing an option of h2 and white sprinco to the hydro/red combo I like to run. Nothing to do with showing the IARv1's tool-less suppressor adaptability.
