  • Trigger warning! I say “RECCE” a lot in this video. All kidding aside, in this video we discuss the origins of the name of our flag ship product, the RECCE LMG upper, and the thoughts and logistical considerations to why it exists in it’s form. All the details on our Auto-Rifle uppers can be seen on our website!

I was a supply sergeant and HQ PSG in a LRSC unit. Studying unit tactics that are used to operating with minimal support during missions is the best option for civilians. From a logistical standpoint Recon, Surveillance, etc are more analogous for civilians than SF type units or Infantry Rifle PLT’s or larger.
Can you and your mates carry everything you need for at least a week of movement and operations.

I already own the Klein Machine ARRPK upper with the 24" barrel, which I love in a similar role, but I'm giving your Recce LMG upper a hard look as well. If I could have a blend of their 24" super heavy profile, your integration of the Riflespeed gas block (which they don't even make for a .936" gas block journal), their inconel gas tube but a straight version to support the Riflespeed block, and your heat mitigation system for both barrel and tube, I think that'd be the most feature rich solution. Admittedly though, it might also be beyond the point of diminishing returns on weight and unit cost.

I was thinking if non-disintegrating links can be reused multiple times reliably someone should make an American RPD that takes non-disintegrating links and also accepts stanag magazines as a backup. Link catchment be a good idea as well so you’re not loosing too many or tripping/catching the links on the environment. Minuteman and small squads could handle feeding such a link system better then running the m27 links for i feel resupply of belted m27 linked ammo be non-existent once resources began to dry up within small ops like those.

"Non-disintegrating" links have been around for over 140 years and are very reliable. The early MGs used cloth belts which did not disintegrate. Those were reloaded but depending, could have issues with moisture.

The system will last a long time and do its job, but it’s inevitable we reach cook off temperatures and the testing becomes unsafe in that regard. We plan to film such abuse, likely the testing will take a more realistic form of firing schedule where we get to a set round count, cool, and continue, hit that round count again, cool, and repeat. Thats more purposeful data compared to just shoot it till it’s super un-safe and burned up. All in all expect those videos here in the short future regarding high round counts.
