Great to see your happy with the Quattro and qmags! We worked very hard on their development.
Absolutely incredible product! It's a perfect match for what we do, and gives American Citizens a major force multiplier, which is mega based of y'all! For Patriot Use Only!
Any plans for an AR10 Quattro lower and Mags?
Will you make a longer version with more capacity?
Thank you a lot!
make a mag that handles the big rounds (450 bush, 50 beowolf) and you can have my money
I think you undersell just what a perfect pairing these are. Definitely seems like the ultimate way to feed your RRH IAR/LMG uppers. The quadstack mag is superior to the drum style for exactly the reasons you stated: pouch compatibility, manual of arms, & cost. You ought to partner with Desert Tech somehow...
It’s a excellent match. For those not already invested into a build or lots of D60s, it’s a great option to explore.
We bought ours direct, we did pay retail and very happy we got ours. Its gonna be a excellent informational resource and testing platform in our shop.
Add a super safety and bam. Citizen lmg
This is what I'm building, quarto lower but I'm building my own upper using Adam arms piston system.
The initial starting capacity is most important for surviving ambush, with MWG 90 rounder, Norinco 120 round drum, or Armatac 150 round magazine you have a lot more firepower on tap. Coupled magazines are easily carried in traditional 3 mag AR pouches. 200 round SAW pouches and duffle bags are also options for holding mags.
Good lord this combination is IT!
The 1st time I saw your Recce LMG in Blue Jean Operator's video I immediately thought about it with this lower, and then I saw you had V2 Piston uppers and wanted it even more. Awesome to see it in practice. I really want your V2 piston/barrel/heat sink voodoo/Desertech lower with a Gibbz MG4 side charging upper, and a Rare/Tommy 3P or Super Safety, since I'm not an SOT, but am lucky enough to live in a 2A sanctuary state where I can feel comfortable enough about having it. Currently eating tuna & ramen a few meals a week to eventually make this happen.
For me, I’m thinking of getting the lower first with the adapter and putting a neat trigger in it. The quadstack magazines will come later. Plus it is critical to get low on the ground if you’re gonna be the loudest in the group, so why the hell not- make the enemy angry by being hard to hit while prone. Honestly though I’m not big on the suppressor idea, but your piston driven LMG upper seems to be a whole lot better design than the original rpk-47’s with their cooling fin designs. At least yours cover most of the barrel rather than just a tiny portion. If only there was a more commercial design kit like the PWS long stroke piston that would solve the bolt tilt up issue plus it’d eliminate the spring up front and solely rely on the buffer spring. Alas dreams can only be dreams for now.
I really like the concept. A LOT. It seems like a match made in heaven... but I cant help but feel that the skeleteonized magwell would allow dirt and dust to easily ingress into the bolt carrier area, especially during mag changes from the prone.
It really doesn't make a difference. When the mag is in its sealed up just like any other lower. The wider gap would also allow dirt and debris to fall out or be cleaned out easier as well. I've been shooting it in the dirt, and dust off bipods and haven't noticed any real dirt intrusion in comparison to a standard lower.
Great review! I need one of these in my life.
I just found you guys a month or two ago, around the time Desert Tech's stuff was getting some press. I already had ideas....
I just got notification that mines gonna ship at the end of this month. I ordered it before November last year. Excellent review I see a lot of people complaining about an issue that’s not even an issue.
thank you for putting this info out!
Glad it was helpful!
My wish has become true. Great work and thank you RRH team.
Our pleasure! Thank your for your support 🙏🏻
I love my Quattro 15, I just wish they would release an extended mag. Make noise on their videos how you want to see a 70 to 80 round mag!
That’s a killer setup. 👍🏻
We think so too. Lots of capability packed into a build such as this.
I’m looking forward to the MMG 🔥🔥🔥
I like the QD mount they added. Gives you the option to run a single point harness if you ever wanted to without having to buy/install the plate. I added a plate for a hook style harness so I have both options. Pluss QD mounts front and back for 2 point option.
Well, Two is One and One is None! I just felt was not really needed personally, really the only two things i can complain about on it. Everything else is awesome!
@@redrighthandllc i agree its awesome hopefully it cycles for me. I don't run single point sling but it could be used for something else too.
@@redrighthandllc why are the parts no longer available on the desert tech website? when you go the the quatro it just says not found now. thought you might know.
@@chasefarber No idea, looks like a website issue.
@@redrighthandllc I think they shut down temporarily to go to shotshow. my guess
I'm hoping we see some videos of the Quattro paired with your LMG upper fired in FA. Seems the like the optimal automatic rifle.
We have posted lots of shorts on youtube and reels on our instagram of the Quattro paired with the milspec LMG upper.
@@redrighthandllc Thank you, I'll look for those. Overall how may rounds do you think you've shot through the Quattros? Any malfunctions?
@@spydercomonkey About 3800rds. It’s been solid the whole time.
@@redrighthandllc Awesome, thank you so much. I think my next rifle will be based on their Quadmag design then.
When I first heard of the Quattro, all I could think of is negatives. After this video, I'm leaning heavy towards this platform instead of D60's for my IAR, plus DT is from my home state!
I love this pairing, I immediately thought of your upper when I found out about the Quattro. Hopefully the Unconstitutional NFA and hues amendment to FOPA are overturned soon. At least us lowly civilians can keep it "super safe".
The price of magazines and the overall cost of building the gun isn't that bad. To have a dedicated auto rifle that takes reliable "coffin mags" would be a great asset.
The ability to share magazines with the rest of the squad while in combat is one of of the biggest strengths of the IAR/LSW or RPK style AR15, this takes that away. I would also rather have double the initial capacity with a MWG 90 rounder or Norinco 120 round drum for establishing fire superiority when taking first contact and carry standard mags coupled together in traditional 3 mag AR pouches.
A concern I've had that is more of a convenience is using 20 round boxes and it not evenly using it up. But, if you use tracer rounds between every 3 rounds, it would take 40 standard rounds with 13 tracers. That is neat, I think.
Additionally, I was looking at trex arms new chest rig and I think those mag pouches would hold the 53 rd mags very nicely.
What bipod is that?
this setup would work great with the hoffman tactical super safety.
Only learned about the RECCE lmg today and my immediate thought was pairing it with the quattro lower, so it is pretty humorous that while looking to see if anyones done it its red right hand themselves that brought this to life. Hope to see the RECCE LMG on sale soon because I'll sweep that upper right up when it does.
We do two big sales a year, Independence Day and Black Friday!
the question not really asked or answered by many is how did it fully loaded changed the feeling (weight and maneuverability ) of the gun to you?
Honestly the magazine is very weight balanced, the mag itself is only 5.92oz and loaded 1.6Lbs. With it not being long or round, its very comfortable in the weapon and you really don't notice the difference. Keeping in mind a gen 3 pmag loaded is 1lb on its own. The extra 6 ounces don't change the overall feel of a loaded rifle.
Schmeisser S60 already exist 😂 and with propper breakin they run good.
Funny, these didn't need a "break in".
what break in?
dumb question but what other types of calibers besides 556 play nice with Desert tech mag? 458 SOCOM?..
I am told 300 blk will work.
Will the adapter fit in a magpul rifle stock compartment?
I say theres a good chance. Its only 2x2.5”by just shy of 3/4” thick of a “box” when clicked together as a unit. I don’t have one to confirm but i know it has a large compartment in that stock.
Any update on this Quattro? I’m hearing mixed reviews?
Ours is excellent! Just got in another 10 mags. We know Desert Tech is working hard to make and ship even more Quattro products.
How does the Eotech do on this platform?
Just Fine, it's a quality optic.
How was Shot Show for the company?
Excellent, lots of networking accomplished.
When it comes to Hi-Cap magazines, I'd argue the stick style is superior because it's easier to carry and easier to reload. If only there was a reliable 60 rd stick mag for the AR-15 that didn't need an adapter or a different kind of lower. It can't be that expensive to make something like that either.
Combine reliable Hi-Cap mags with Polymer cased telescoped ammo, a reduced rate of fire, hk416a5 style upgrades, and the included heat mitigation system and you'd have a rifle that's better than the M27 IAR, let alone being an automatic rifle. The polymer ammo would save space in the magazine (in addition to reducing heat, being cheaper than brass, and cleaner), the reduced rate of fire maintains accuracy, barrel life, and ammunition, ambidextrous controls, a cold weather trigger guard, water drainage capability, flared magazine well, and the RRH HMS and you would be good to go.
Buying Hi-Cap magazines is cheaper than buying a LMG or LMG upper, and it further complements ease of logistics.
What would you say to a 2-round burst capable RECCE LMG upper?
My Schmeisser 60-round stick mag works great
@@L3GN5RW9 I'm getting one to try soon. They seem to get overlooked
hey my brotha , great vid n content there , 1 million % cool there , i am a u.s. marine vet here n def. wanna talk more , only have email here , n LOVE talking armament n 2A here , i will forever support you n would love a free long sleeved shirt 4 x sized shirt or 4 x sized hoodie possbly please if you could/would , talk soon > tom !
No M16 cut? That's seriously dumb. Even if people aren't going to convert theirs to full auto, it's still a slap in the face to those on the side of freedom. Not aware of any law that would prevent it.
Please invest in a lav mic
Yes it's feasible, but Will you get a government contract? I think not!? I could be wrong.
I'm not going to go out, and jump on the ban wagon! Sorry just my opinion. I own quite a few ARs
Good thing we have zero desire for Gov/Mil contracts. Thanks for the advice.
Will your uppers work with a fostech binary trigger?
Yes they will.
