I would love to see a complete Trek-22 rifle as the gen2. Maybe work with Fletcher and their open top 11/22 to make it easier to clean, plus a metal rail for a more rugged zero.
My Trek22 doesn't get a lot of use, because I don't want to take it all apart to clean it. I've got a tall mounted RDS on it now. It's okay at 50yds, but I'm going to shoot some more groups to see if the zero holds up. Maybe need to install a long riser rail on top of the plastic one. Like I had on my Hi-Point . Which has a non-standard plastic rail. It was removable.
Desert Tech should split the MDR family into large and small frame. A combat reliable 5.56 (and .300blk) size bullpup. No fancy ejection, no .308 size and weight, no magazine inserts. Just a lightweight, compact, reliable bullpup with a precision trigger. The gun the AUG and Tavor and L85 always wanted to be. 16" and 12" (and 8" 300blk) options. A little less modularity. Just reliable, compact and lightweight. Actually military ready technology. Oh, and maybe an improved trigger pack. Maybe even work with Triggertech or Hiperfire. We would absolutely pay for even better triggers. And then the big boy rifle for .308, 6.5creed and nowadays 8.6blackout.
Unless you’re doing a six arc version to add a mag option more than 25 rounds it’s not much of a game changer more of a reinvention of the wheel. Right now it’s just another basic 50+ round 5.56 magazine except it requires a whole new lower. Making it 6 arc would make 6arc capable of replacing 5.56
@@pootytang2872 At least us MA folks have a Bruen light at the end of the tunnel. Those poor Canadians are pretty much screwed for life. In MA, we can still get pre-ban AR mags. But they cost a lot. Hopefully, being a 2nd class citizen will end within the next few years, or decades. We will get back our full rights as Americans.
You need to make it yourself. Get somehow the regular mag, also you need 3d printer, 1/8x1/2 rivets and wide 1/8 washer. With the 3d printer you need to make spacers, it will block the mag from inside. Then you need to make the hole in the center of the round thing of the plate that holds the spring. Assemble it and put the rivet with washer in it. Thats it, you have a fat mag for crazy states. Better make it out of state, so they won’t be able to make any changes.
@@adamgray4997 Too much work. Years ago, I ordered a few Pmag-30 mags with the Blue State 10 rnd insert off ebay. The seller's son mistakenly send me the real 30 rnd mags! The seller apologized and sent the PMag inserts overnight. Easy to install and secure with a pop-rivet in the base. They work nice and should be easy to convert back to 30 rnds, when Buren gets to MA in the year 2040.?. No wait! I'm 78 now! Dang! I'll be 94!
has anyone else noticed that desert tech customer service has basically gone to hell? when you call it tells you to email them or leave them a voicemail. neither emails nor calls are returned. It is such a shame. Great weapons but horrible customer service.
well, if you're in New Mexico, don't bother. they have no one in the state to ship one too, when I call to order they say use the website. I emailed the sales manager over a week ago and still haven't been able to place an order.
This thing gets a lot of hate, as not useful, not sure why it is quite innovative and I bet it will sell like hotcakes at 215 dollars with a frecking mag, that works!!. I am going to sbr one immediately and run on an 11.5 build....internet fuddy duddies hate new stuff
Creative? Yes. Useful? No. If it needs a part added, THAT YOU CAN LOOSE, to use STANDARD MAGAZINES...a hard pass, a solid no, a bad design & poor choice to build from a monetary point. I can just shove a SureFire 'coffin' mag into ANY 'normal' AR and those fit in double mag pouches. Any height issues are negligible. Good luck

Would've been nice to see a set screw on the rear detent spring hole and takedown pins installed from the factory.

Can you buy a fully assembled lower from anywhere today? Thanks
Do you sell Quattro-15 ten rnd mags for shooters in Blue states, like Massachusetts?
That's what the mag adapter is for. So you could still use those freedomless mags
this would be a great gag. 10 rounder for blue states and 5 rounder for Canadians.
