Great video Adam; very comprehensive. As an ex-Rhodesian serviceman 75-78, it still amazes me that most guys don't do anything to camouflage their wristwatches, which will often glint brightly in sunlight. Everyone lives in the same reality, some people just have different perspectives. Average citizens can afford and value good kit, and that kit may benefit them in the future to come. It’s just information. Each person/unit will have to make budgetary decisions on purchases that make the most sense for them. There is also an active military audience to the channel, not just civilians… The fact is a LOT of civilians have NODS, lasers, and thermal, including thermal drones. Some people value those capabilities enough to justify purchasing them.
You know, man, I agree with you 100% here, but being disappointed in the state of things can only get you so far when it comes down to this channel is inspiring people, maybe to get into the community, maybe to be motivated to make better financial discussions, but really like I said overall I agree with what you are saying and us guys that know there needs to be change need to stand up!
I agree with you; I watch these various channels, and see their gear. I always ask myself, “why the heck are they worried about IR strobes, and comms as if they’re going to be calling in air support?” “Why are they running and gunning like they’re part of seal team 6 with an unlimited budget and airdrop resupply?” The $1200 helmets, and $10,000 NVG’s and plate carriers and lasers, and the radios are all well and good. But you nailed it, the reality is most people will be lucky to have some mil surplus web belt, maybe a ammo pouch, and a basic AR with a red dot. We can’t all be tricked out like a Navy Seal. Most of us are just going to be surviving. Of course you could have all this Gucci gear and get picked off within the first 5 mins of SHTF by some Hunter with a Walmart moss oak camo, and grandpa’s bolt action rifle. I think these channels are sending the wrong message to the pro2a, SHTF, self defense peepers. Training is certainly important, and I think a lot of people should take a look at some of their old Boy Scout hand books (the ones from the 50’s and 60’s have a ton of information about stalking and patrolling). You don’t need all the high speed gear. There’s a lot that can be done with simple equipment.
@@alankordzikowski7670 the Mossy Oak hunter might be Ok….. until it gets dark, then the guys with the $10,000 NVGs will absolutely have the advantage and the amount of civilians who have NVGs, and thermal capabilities is much higher than you might think. The baseline equipment people have has definitely changed… But thats besides the point. These videos are not just for civilians, they are intended to be resources for Active Duty military as well, thats why a lot of stuff in this and our Machine Gunner load out video may seem excessive to the civilian, but are real capabilities for those still doing the job. People with a basic rifle and basic loadout can still be effective, but there is no denying the major advantages some of these technologies provide. If you can’t see in the dark, the other people who can will own the night.

Thank you for making this information more available for civilian defenders. With the way the world is going, this kind of info may be more necessary to possess
Another great video, the content is much appreciated. Crispi makes great boots. Those are the Attiva Mid GTX. I disagree however that they breathe well. They are gortex lined and any waterproof boot does not breathe well at all. Nor do they dry out fast.
I will agree with you there. I bought some mountaineering shoes recently (for high/alpine)... Wanted some full leather ones, as I much prefer it generally in all my footwear, but they simply don't exist anymore. Virtually every manufacturer is adding gtx or their own substitute. Settled for a Scarpa boot and so far I like it a lot. The membranes are a lot better than they used to be and the waterproofness came in handy more than I expected (morning dew, streams etc). I have sweaty feet but so far it's been ok.
Personally I like neckband hearing protection. It just means I can wear it even without helmet, and if for some reason I take off helmet for while, I would still have hearing protection on if I want to. And to be fair I would generally also want low cut helmet, so this setup wouldn't work anyways. It just offers more protection. I think low cut is really only advantageous to some SF or more technical jobs, where you are still required to wear helmet but not that likely face combat. Obviously you can find other niches as well, but I think overall most soldiers should go for low cut.
Thank you for mentioning the other brands of strobe lights because this is one item that is super over priced there is not real reason to paid $200 plus for Helstar 6 when we have so many good choice that are even better
Appreciate the load out videos, definitely some better insight to pass down to the newer generation but imma have to pull out a personal loan for the nods 🤙🏼 Also that team room is badass
As a "barefoot guy", I can't agree more about the boot section. I do all my runs and workouts barefoot or in minimalist shoes, but once I start adding on 35lbs or more, I've found good boots to be indispensable for rucks, larping, and other shenanigans. You can absolutely hike a 50lb pack 12 miles in Earth Runner sandals, but your feet fatigue much, much faster; and when fatigue builds, so does the chance of injury.
@@beatsbyrynot the guy you're asking, but the whole argument against 'normal' shoes as I understand it is that they're too supportive in daily life and prevent your feet from strengthening naturally as you walk. In extraordinary, potentially life amd death circumstances, carrying more weight than you're used to, why not have the extra support? If you're regularly barefoot it's a supplement, not a crutch.
@@beatsbyry You absolutely can work up to that distance and weight (my misadventure was, in short, a result of poor planning on my part); but what it comes down to is how much time do you have to dedicate to training specifically for that versus training for everything else and balance that with the risk of injury (as is present in all programming). If your primary goal is to do all your rucks unshod/minimal then that's what you should train for--working up distance and weight incrementally. But for me, personally, I find running marathons more comfortable in sandals, and my big rucks more comfortable in boots (especially when there's lots of shale rock involved). So I'd say: train for what you need and what your goals are. And most importantly, cardio doesn't kill gains, cowardice kills gains. Also there are more minimalist combat boots coming to market which might split the difference. I haven't tried any, yet, but it's on my list.
M81 is not only based, but also not standard to any unit.* It identies one as a civilian, its ours now, its the uniform of an armed populace. *i know SF wore it in Afghanistan but it was to match the locals, not as a standalone uniform.
"Boots are still covered in mud from the last time I walked through a swamp." Yeah, that was probably us.... I still have no idea I'd you were impressed or pissed at us, lol
1. Why is there no gas mask? Without it even cs gas can make you useless. I was hoping to see how you guys carry it. 2. I'm either avoiding ditching my pack because of no supply chain OR communicate with aircraft... 3. More details on that chemlight usage?
Thanks for the video! Could you do a video on how chem lights can be used during various scenarios (patrol, assault, etc) and typical operating procedures that involve chem light signals. Thanks!
If ya dont know what chem lights can be used for you probably don't need them , and If you do know , then you should develop your own operational procedures.
I use M81 because I can buy two sets of BDU's for the price of one set of OCP scorpion. It is not a fashion contest! Out there...I don't give two turds if I look "cool" or not! If you are just dying to spend money...buy better force multipliers [thermal, NV, etc.] Agree that commonality [settling on one pattern] is important...otherwise confusion and problems ensue.
Love this video, does anyone know what he’s talking about 2:29 ? It seems like he just starts talking about another part of his weapon but never actually says what he’s talking about my the only one lol.
You can always tell a Hollywood production when the troops in the movie don't have their pants cargo pockets bulging and they say dumb stuff like Aye Ess Aye Pee instead of A-SAP. Btw @12:48 I use a bugheadnet I got cheap @Walmart, works great, especially now that mosquitos have become weaponized.
What you need depends all on where you are and where you are going, what you do need all the time is shelter, water proof clothing, fire making equipment, ammo, water purification tablets, food and a blanket. This of course is based off of constant movement, in a survival situation or apocalypse type scenario stationary is death keeping in the move is life, move light and with a purpose take what you want carry what you need. As far as guns, again all depends who you are and what you think you’re going to be doing, I wouldnt suggest getting into a fire fight I also wouldnt suggest sniping people either, carry for protection so me personally I have my AR for close or long range set ups, I have my 1911 convince Me otherwise I need something better and I have my banelli M2 combat shotgun which I would carry at the ready at all times quite honestly, as far as body armor I have a plate carrier that stops multiple 7.62 hits, my MICH2000 helmet and my ruck,,,, I carry a two man combat tent and a hammock for nicer weather areas, spare ammo, me personally I carry and practice carrying a minimum of 1200 rounds on me besides the 16 mags I have on me, I have my more than basic medic kit and that’s it that’s what I carry, I practice rucking and trekking thru the woods with all this gear every, single, weekend Saturday and Sunday and during the summer I’m out in the woods for the weekend hiking climbing mountains
Enjoyed the video but I think you should go into specifics on what this particular kit would be used for. You mention the Khaki pants and tee shirt to "blend in", so I'm thinking this is more a shtf loadout, but then u pull out a handheld IR laser I'm I'm left wondering when the hell you would use that in this type situation...Not gonna be communicating with aircraft in a shtf. I'm not military, just trying to be a prepared civilian and my loadout (work in progress too), has way less stuff. I just picture myself and any friends doing things like neighborhood patrol, hunting, maybe a small mission to go get someone or something, defending against a gang, etc, but I just see this whole loadout you have as something you would have on you for some military op or something. Just coming for ideas, and I'm not 100percent squared away, but pretty damn close too. Thanks man.
You don’t need it unless you’re talking to aircraft or manning a heavy weapon at night. Even in today’s age where NVGs are super proliferated they’re not a great idea. Unless the gig is already up or part of a no comms plan. They’re an excellent way to get noticed by everyone. Friendlies and enemies alike.
What hearing protection would you recommend with an IHIPS because we’re forced to wear those things. I still want good hearing of my teammates because I’m tired of not being able to hear them.
“It’s not a competition on who has the cooler pattern camo”. Remember that guys when your favorite gun tuber shows up in 80k worth of gear to tell you how your equipment matters.
I have a platatac peacekeeper and I’m trying to figure out what that and a pack can’t do that LBE can. I got an eagle lbe h-harness and that thing is huge by the way. And I ain’t a small guy and it’s still pretty loose on me. But I feel like I can carry the same amount of stuff both ways.
As a Civ, I'd much rather have a soft iiia to IV if icw'd armor vest, a iiia head item seems far fetched unless society collapses so Id include it with a mounted helm light for arguments sake (a iiia ballcap would serve... A standard m4 type/ak/duty quality rifle with a sling/light/optic, and a simple duty belt bearing ifak/spare tqs, water, knife, burner phone for comms/911 calls, few rifle and pistol mags, handheld light and a light bearing sidearm, and a "FEAR" bag (f everything and run, so food, ammo, spare weapon, ammo, meds, water, personal documents, discrete clothing, money/silver/gold, radios.. stuff to leave with if things required extrication) I don't have a branch of govt or an agency to maintain support/logistics so I'm content without a 6k nv helmet, even if i were a "minuteman" I'm still a poor private citizen.
Can you do a video on a fighting loadout that does not allow for guns just blades edged weapons I live in Australia and I do not have a firearms licence so it is all blades for me... I would really appreciate that thank you! It's really hard to find any information about military or special operations and edged weapons
From about 2018-now I ran Alice and modern re-pop Alice. Great gear. But a week ago I sprung for a plate carrier and ultra thin molle gun belt. Both are good. But Alice for night time recon. And molle for well day time.

I wear the Solomon X Ultra boots. They're just right in my opinion
Thank you for sharing. Really valuable information here. As many people have said we greatly appreciate your input and will look forward to seeing more information in the future.
One tip that is useful ..
Learn to sew .
You can modify your gear the way you want amd you can do repairs on your gear and clothing .
Ive added molle row s , velcro and straps to my gear to get more out of it and adapt to other gear i have
Thank you for making this information more available for civilian defenders. With the way the world is going, this kind of info may be more necessary to possess
I was in the army 1976-1978 the weapon I carried was a M 16 a1 old school. There has been so many better weapon up grades since I was in the army.
20” is still king and your a1 is lighter than that 11.5 he’s got
Thanks for the great info Adam and Spiritus guys. Requesting a tour of the team room you guys film in, it's a cool backdrop!
Man the background music is so good!!!!! Great video, as usual
OKAY OKAY OKAY. I’ll buy the decontamination kit
That's some serious gear thanks for ideas and all the hard work you put into your videos
Great vid. Appreciate the time and effort it takes to put these out.
Thank you
Thanks for the videos . I too enjoy playing Army and dream of a day when shtf ..
Appreciate the load out videos, definitely some better insight to pass down to the newer generation but imma have to pull out a personal loan for the nods 🤙🏼
Also that team room is badass
Don’t go into debt!
Run a white light until you can afford to buy NODs with CASH.
@woodsghost9088 Good idea.
Larping on a loan is stupid
As a "barefoot guy", I can't agree more about the boot section. I do all my runs and workouts barefoot or in minimalist shoes, but once I start adding on 35lbs or more, I've found good boots to be indispensable for rucks, larping, and other shenanigans.
You can absolutely hike a 50lb pack 12 miles in Earth Runner sandals, but your feet fatigue much, much faster; and when fatigue builds, so does the chance of injury.
So why not train with a 50lb pack and walk 10+ miles barefoot? Coming from a fellow barefoot guy
I'm kind of curious as well. What have people found regarding training up their barefoot shoe hiking/rucking ability?
@@beatsbyrynot the guy you're asking, but the whole argument against 'normal' shoes as I understand it is that they're too supportive in daily life and prevent your feet from strengthening naturally as you walk.
In extraordinary, potentially life amd death circumstances, carrying more weight than you're used to, why not have the extra support? If you're regularly barefoot it's a supplement, not a crutch.
@@beatsbyry
You absolutely can work up to that distance and weight (my misadventure was, in short, a result of poor planning on my part); but what it comes down to is how much time do you have to dedicate to training specifically for that versus training for everything else and balance that with the risk of injury (as is present in all programming).
Thanks for more amazing content that isn’t exclusively all Gucci gear. Very practical and your rationale is greatly appreciated!
You don't think that this stuff is Gucci crap I hate to see what you think does qualify as Gucci
Great stuff, love the Patrol Basic videos.
Clean Chainsaw!
I think kit specifics in terms of videos has so much more potential. A series where it simulates the field use of mission focused kits would be ideal.
Silva ranger compass has been my go to for two decades. Indispensable for old school land nav
Appreciate this channel. Thanks Adam
M81 pattern is goated for sure
It’s absolutely insane the prices of helmets and night vision.
Get a ACH helmet.
NV is expensive. For sure.
M81 is not only based, but also not standard to any unit.* It identies one as a civilian, its ours now, its the uniform of an armed populace.
*i know SF wore it in Afghanistan but it was to match the locals, not as a standalone uniform.
Definitely an epic loot drop.
Way to hang in there with the malfunction clearance.. that was nice right there.. good stuff
Thanks. Also. Hopefully maybe the med sled comes in an xtra small configuration for those smaller fannys 😎🤙🏾🤙🏾
Swank AF! Lots of things to consider! Thank you
"Boots are still covered in mud from the last time I walked through a swamp." Yeah, that was probably us.... I still have no idea I'd you were impressed or pissed at us, lol

These guys make some good stuff. Customer service guys must be operators, they do a good job making you feel beneath them.
my pops has the Noveske upper and lower.. cant go wrong with that setup
My Dude..... so about that Rhodie BrushStroke!

Outstanding intel Sir.
appreciate it guys!
Thnx for the vid👍🏼You guys make awesome Kit and I’ve enjoyed your content
Awesome video
1. Why is there no gas mask? Without it even cs gas can make you useless. I was hoping to see how you guys carry it.
2. I'm either avoiding ditching my pack because of no supply chain OR communicate with aircraft...
3. More details on that chemlight usage?
Love you guys. Thank you.
Thanks for the video! Could you do a video on how chem lights can be used during various scenarios (patrol, assault, etc) and typical operating procedures that involve chem light signals. Thanks!
If ya dont know what chem lights can be used for you probably don't need them , and If you do know , then you should develop your own operational procedures.
this background music, yum.
Great video
I use M81 because I can buy two sets of BDU's for the price of one set of OCP scorpion. It is not a fashion contest! Out there...I don't give two turds if I look "cool" or not! If you are just dying to spend money...buy better force multipliers [thermal, NV, etc.] Agree that commonality [settling on one pattern] is important...otherwise confusion and problems ensue.
thanks
Thanks man !
Great video my dudes!
Good information
Thank you for your info and knowledge based recommendations
The reason that the Cana provisions kit is always out of stock is probably because of Adam.😂
Thank you for this!
Love this video, does anyone know what he’s talking about 2:29 ? It seems like he just starts talking about another part of his weapon but never actually says what he’s talking about my the only one lol.
He’s talking about a MAWL Modular Advanced Weapon Light. They have white light, infrared light and infrared lasers for night vision use
Thanks!
Good stuff , thanks!
Best videos
The intro is very cool! But I didn't see any mosquitoes 🤔
Haha! Lucas said that not too long ago 😂😂 this community is hilarious… I love Lucas.
enjoy the casual mall music for such a useful video
You can always tell a Hollywood production when the troops in the movie don't have their pants cargo pockets bulging and they say dumb stuff like Aye Ess Aye Pee instead of A-SAP. Btw @12:48 I use a bugheadnet I got cheap @Walmart, works great, especially now that mosquitos have become weaponized.
Man...if only my wife would let me go on a shopping spree i could really make such a better kit with this info. Mine is extremely lacking...
M81 comment. Someone lives rent free in his head.
Good stuff.
As far as guns, again all depends who you are and what you think you’re going to be doing, I wouldnt suggest getting into a fire fight I also wouldnt suggest sniping people either, carry for protection so me personally I have my AR for close or long range set ups, I have my 1911 convince
Me otherwise I need something better and I have my banelli M2 combat shotgun which I would carry at the ready at all times quite honestly, as far as body armor I have a plate carrier that stops multiple 7.62 hits, my MICH2000 helmet and my ruck,,,, I carry a two man combat tent and a hammock for nicer weather areas, spare ammo, me personally I carry and practice carrying a minimum of 1200 rounds on me besides the 16 mags I have on me, I have my more than basic medic kit and that’s it that’s what I carry, I practice rucking and trekking thru the woods with all this gear every, single, weekend Saturday and Sunday and during the summer I’m out in the woods for the weekend hiking climbing mountains
Will you guys ever make an ATAPs upgrade kit?
Please email this a series covering military operations. How, and why please
Any lads out there figure out ways to implement EUDs and ATAK with a split rig?
Idk the size of the eud/atak, but you can get a Juggernaut phone case that can molle to the rig. Might help.
Could you make a video about good and reliable smoke grenades?
I have a platatac peacekeeper and I’m trying to figure out what that and a pack can’t do that LBE can. I got an eagle lbe h-harness and that thing is huge by the way. And I ain’t a small guy and it’s still pretty loose on me. But I feel like I can carry the same amount of stuff both ways.
Well if nothing else that hemet will build some serious neck muscles.😂
Thanks for sharing, great content.
Even in the lord's year of 2023 i feel like ALICE gear is more than sufficient for this type of stuff.
And cost effective
From about 2018-now I ran Alice and modern re-pop Alice. Great gear.
But a week ago I sprung for a plate carrier and ultra thin molle gun belt.
Both are good. But Alice for night time recon.
And molle for well day time.
@@jw5297Miss ALICE has gotten a lot more expensive lately.
