    I picked up a '24 Colorado ZR2 a couple months ago and I love it. I never had a positive opinion of Chevrolet and have driven Japanese vehicles for the last 20 years. But there was something about the ZR2 that spoke to me. And I've yet to find anything with it that bothers me. I'm usually pretty critical of my vehicles, but - so far - it's been smooth sailing. Chevy/GM did well with this design.

I was really lookn’ hard at the Nissan Pro 4x , but just liked the looks of the ZR2. I know looks don’t get ya home. So I guess if I break down I’ll have a nice lookn’ truck to look at while I wait for the tow truck. 😂

    Beautiful truck J....I recently purchased the ZR2 Bison edition of this truck at the stupid price point of 61k...but like I said on the Trailhunter review, it's a specific category for a specific buyer. I love these trucks dude.

    • @billredding2000
      @billredding2000 6 месяцев назад +2

      IMO, given how pricey trucks are nowadays -- especially the "specialty" trucks (like off-roaders) -- you not only got a Chevy Colorado ZR2 but the Bison (by AEV) for $61K. Not bad really. The ZR2 is very capable off-road, and on-road it's probably very comfortable to drive on long trips as well. One of my concerns would be MPG numbers (compared to my current truck), so I'd have to look at those.
      -- BR

    • @aaronbutler3585
      @aaronbutler3585 6 месяцев назад

      Currently I'm getting 14.7 mpg but I've only driven it a few hundred miles. The TFL guys did a mpg test on the Canyon At4x Aev truck and got 19.2 on a long road trip. I also have a regular 2024 Canyon Elevation trim level w/o all the armor and it's getting 20.5 mpg after 1k miles.

    • @billredding2000
      @billredding2000 6 месяцев назад +3

      @@aaronbutler3585 Yes, it should do better after it's broken in. Even with that extra weight (armor) AEV installs it should improve some. But of course, all the "off-road-focused/serious 4x4s" have the same issue: Poor MPG numbers. "It goes with the territory" as the saying goes. At least yours isn't a "box" going through the air like mine is, but since they're also lifted, that hurts MPG every time.
      No low-to-the ground & air-dam gas-saver nonsense for US by god! ;-)

      Forget the kids, how about your dog, LOL. If I tell my Golden to get away from the window, he obeys.

    Look at the ranger raptor first before making a decision.

      Raptor is a great truck but 15-18k more right now on average. and a whole lot of tech and electronics that steer me right back to the zr2.

      Ford dealers are crooks adding 10 grand markup on base 59k price of 2024 ranger raptor. By the time I would have added 9,75% Tennessee sakes tax that raptor was found to cost me around 77 grand. So I decided to buy Colorado zr2 for 51 grand plus 9.75% taxes saving me about 21 grand over buying that ranger raptor.

    I hate this interior. Felt very cheap with all the low grade plastic. I also hated the 4 cylinder sound and feel. It’s too bad because it’s a great looking truck on the outside.

    1st indication of how this truck will turn out is that even the keyless entry will let you down.
    Sorry but while chev looks good, long term reliability is garbage.

      It didn't let me down. You have to push the button on the handle to unlock it. I was just used to my jeep and my 4 runner. Nothing about this truck is a let down and nothing about it is garbage as far as think. I love everything about this truck

      If i felt that way after an experience with a single vehicle I would not be able to buy anything today. I have had bad experience with all of the brands at one time or another..

      Had a '92 Cavalier and now a 2018 Silverado and they had/have been very reliable.
