That Halo light tho
Right!!🔥🔥
@@A6Legit not sure on that man. I know Hilti Nuron has it don’t they on the impact driver
@@A6Legit it's been present on the Bosch 12V impacts for a long time. Also, my Masterforce Boost impact driver comes with a halo light and it's great. About twice as bright as my Bosch Freak 3rd gen. It's not about a patent, maybe just cost savings
@@A6Legit agreed, I'd be happy to pay $10 more for the tri lights which would cost MFRs cents a piece
I love my Skil 12-volt brushless tools. My first one was the 3/8" ratchet. It was half the price of any other ratchet, and it is rated to hand tighten to 150 lbs. I just got the inflater.
How is the inflator? I've had a lot of success with the Craftsman V20 unit. If Skil's gets the job done, too, it's just another reason to switch.
My first set of tools for DIY were skil Brushless and i'm happy with them. Affordable, 5Year Warranty. Loving them!
I’m very happy with the Skil 12v line and use them for my travel tools. Plenty of power, very good sales, and lightweight too.
I like the 12 volt Skil power tools. I got my father-in-law the $99 5 piece tool kit last Christmas. They have a cool looking multi tool.
Your such a humble dude and I absolutely love watching your reviews...keep em coming man...🤘👍🇺🇲
i have the previous gen of this and the drill as well and i love em,plenty of power and reliable.. just recently bought the 40 volt rear handle circular saw.. skil is definitely a great choice now
That's it Vince, you convinced me to buy this Skil 12v 1/4" impact driver. Awesome video, you guys got a great channel!
So glad I found this. Just bought three and it’s my first drill. Wanna learn more.
Skil is definitely shooting for redemption for their brand. I know Skil fell by the wayside awhile back but I think they earned some respect for innovation. They have been putting out some pretty good tools lately. The 40volt rear handle I just got is 🔥Cuz. Definitely going to be adding more Skil to the collection. Let’s not forget the Skilsaw Cordless Worm Drive 💪💪💪 Appreciate the vid brother. As always stay safe my friend ✊
They definitely in🔥 INT!
I bought the skil 5413 6 1/2” circular saw on the 20v platform and they don’t even make the rip guide for it. I spent 3 days of phone calls before they admitted they don’t make one. For a company that’s trying for redemption, they really need to pay attention to little details. It seems the fence for the Milwaukee M18 fuel 6 1/2” will fit if anyone else is having the same issue.
@@edm.6657 hey man I appreciate you letting everyone know. I definitely want to hear about things like this. To be completely honest I have never dealt with their customer service department. That’s a big part of a brands reputation in my opinion. The way they treat the customers should definitely be priority number one
Wow. I loved the dewalt drivers which adopted the tri led lights, then when gen 3 m12 Milwaukee driver came out I bought it immediately. I love this halo light. To me, it is not a gimmick when I’m in ceiling tiles with dead mice just around the corner and need as much light as possible. Love it!!
I love my DeWalt 850, The #1 setting is amazing for cabinetry when you need to set those small screws just right without ripping them out. This Skil Driver looks pretty cool though.
My dad is basically retired but occasionally still likes to install Custom Kitchens just to get out of the house every so often but all his tools used a extension cord until he started using my Milwaukee Tools. Now he uses Milwaukee M12 tools because they have plenty of power Plus the size makes it easier to get inside the cabinets and tight places.💯👍
Get him the instal driver…..that’s my most used m12 drill/driver….once you get use to that thing it just allows for great control and ability to get in tough spots….it’s great for driving pocket screws on a flatter angle so you don’t blow through if your driving into thin stock….
It’s nice! That light is a good feature
I have the previous Gen Skil 12v impact driver, and now I want this one now too! Dam you Vince!! 😂😂
Love the USB Port and the Light
Hell yeah. Awesome
Really diggin the new SKIL - THANKS CUZBO!
Dig Dug!
The compact design with that halo light looks great! I might buy one!
The halo light...caught my sight...and it's dynomite! so bright.😁
i have this and love it.
Love my Skil 12v pwrcore tools.
I personally haven’t used 12 volt before just because with my work I often times need the power that comes from 18 volt tools but I would love to try 18 volt and probably just use it on small home projects around the house.
Great job brother.👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great tools I got the 12 volt 5 tool combo last year at Lowes for $100 very good tools with a great warranty. It's not like my Milwaukee or Dewalt but for the money very impressed with it.
Only 100? Damn. Maybe I should pay more attention to this brand.
@@praetorianstride5948 When they go on sale they’re very inexpensive. Parent company makes EGO and Flex, and the Kobalt and MasterForce lines too.
I have Milwaukee but i start to buy skil and i don't regret it , best money i ever spend
Skil is perfect for home owners. If I didn’t already have an M12 I might have opted for this one.
That halo light alone sells me on it.
Yeah I really like it!
Same. I would feel like working on anything less than orbital spacecraft would be doing it an injustice though. I still want it!
Love the dcf901!
just got the automatic hammer. I'm an electrician and nailing on boxes has never been easier.
This seems like a nice package
If I wasn’t so invested in m18/m12 I would definitely give their 12v line a spin…..I see great deals on them from time to time. I’ve had good luck with my skil contractor, and 10” inch slider….they’ve both performed past their price point
I don’t own any skil operation tools but for the price rn @ Lowe’s ima get one 4work only!!!! Seems like a good tool… Ima lil more a red and black Milwaukee kinda guy lol
I got that second gen. I love it. Dare I say it, I prefer it over the m12
Hello 👋 VCG
I like the new Skil line. If I where new to the game and just starting out Skil is not a bad place to start.
I starting 30 + years ago with True Value Hardware stuff.
My first line I bought was Master Mechanic brand which was Stanley Black and Decker Made in the USA Skil 🇺🇸 made in the USA back in the day. Love the video !!!!
We appreciate all the input Stephen, thanks!
@@VCGConstruction Thank you sir
Cool update Vince 😎
Thanks Jamal!
That light is bad ass
I just got a few of these(drill set and occilating tool) for the wife/house, She hates how dirty my work ones are.
These are currently all reduced in price at lowes. Cleranced $59
Bro, im jelly about how litght and easy they are to move.
I had a craftsman 12v occilating tool and it would overheat the battary and cut out constantly. The bat was cylindrical in shape (like my bosch stuff) but just didnt work. This was even a proversion when sears was still around. These tool are pretty cool.
I might go out and buy that that looks like a good tool❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Whole kit is only $80
Woah, Vince - this thing looks great. Can you compare it to the Milwaukee Gen 3 M-12?
Hey Vince you should try out the hyper tough 12v brushless impact driver. I heard it's a beast. They say its a Milwaukee killer.
I would like to see a tool test with the new Milwaukee M12 screw gun verse the original Milwaukee M18 screw gun combo just to see which gun has more power. Really seems like Skil is really trying to step their game up and get back into the tool competition.💯🙏 Hope all is well Vince and the VCG gang.
Hope you’re doing good my friend
Halo light all the things. That tool looks great. Cooler looking, more compact thanbthe previous 1st gen model. They should out the halo light on their 18 volt impact. I really enjoy my brushless Octane Ridigid hammer drill because it's a drill with a tri-light IN the chuck. Unfortunately, they dropped this in new drills and nobody else has tried it. It's great though.
this guy got me to buy like 30 tools in the last 10 days...
I dig it I dig it 😀
I'm seriously considering the entire Skil 12v and 20v lineup now. The 12v tools are crazy inexpensive at Lowe's and I could get 1-2 more tools for the same money I'd pay for 2 from nearly any other brand. I dislike having 5 different tool brands, 1 or 2 tools from each and as many different chargers and sized batteries. Maybe that's OCD but I'd like to streamline to 1 brand for all indoor stuff...and all outdoor, if possible.
What do you think about the Hilti 22V Nuron Compact Impact Driver Model SID 6-22 they look kind of similar in size
Is there a reason why You Tube demonstrators drive screws at an angle rather than vertically?
Vince’s finger just like me, fully depressed
I LIKE!!!
I want to see this little guy against the M12 Fuel 3rd gen or the DeWalt Xtreme. I believe they're on par in torque although the M12 Fuel has the advantage on RPMs / IPMs
Love 12 volt tools.
Me too
Interesting , i hawe DeWalt impact 18v ind i worked on him 6 months can u answer on next video, its worth to be a change or not maby this skil light weight need this vs dewalt 18v impact ty
the pwr core 12 right angle impact driver is so far awesome as well the Halo lights are awesome
Do you have skil 12v poeer core gen 1 vs gen 2? Curious to see the difference
i just ordered one one amazon
Hello again Vince and Vcg
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Question for you Vince. What do you think of the Skill for installing and removing aircraft panels. Unlike the wood your used too. Sorry I forgot the function name. But it sounded like a hammer. I would be using this into metal and composite materials nut plates etc. I don't want a tool to create more work? Again thank you 😊
I actually think it would be a good fit for that application
@@VCGConstruction Hello again Vince and Vcg
Thank you for the quick response. Does Skill offer a drill and Ratchet to go with this? Again thank you 😊
I’m running to skil set
@VCG Vince, how about a milwaukee vs Skil 12v action!!! "I am just saying"
Where can you purchase this?
not bad.
I just want it because of the pretty light
Does @Tool Review Zone know you’re borrowing his treated 6x6 with no pilot holes?!!!
🤔
Im disappointed in the new M12 drill and impact from milwuakee, ive gone through 3 combo kits one of them having reading the batteries wrong, the second seizing up on me completely and the 3 i just got on I believe Thursday night, used it friday morning and what’s crazy is i couldve sworn fuel was brushless cuz when i was using my impact, violent sparks where being seen coming from the inside of the impact. All in all, im returning and waiting a few months to let the first batch cycle and go back and get them again. Id recommend you all do the same
If u are considering buying the new M12 drill and impact
I had the OG M12 combo kit but it's been long gone in favor of more powerful tools.
I still got my fair share of M12 tools but no longer an impact and drill/driver. I heard the M12 Fuel main concern is both the impact and drill get hot too quick and I don't see that helping long term. Did you experience overheating on the new tools?
Will Dewalt ever have an oil impulse driver
Another Shout Out to The VCG ..👺🤨👺
Is it a driver that works as a flashlight or flashlight that works as a driver. Lights go out, grab the driver.
How the hell you turn it ob
I do have to say this, well maybe ask this. lol. why is Milwaukee couldn't do a light like this? I understand if it was something like a patent but even the try LEDs or anything besides what they have been running up until very recently. and now Milwaukee's behind on the batteries so what's up with that any information on Milwaukee sliding behind
Beats the sheets outta me!
I really like the halo light. However, my only concern is that with so much surface area of light, you're probably a lot more likely to smash it when you drop it. The 3 bulb might be the better way to go
Milwaukee has tri beams now
@@22Platypus did you not read my comment? I literally said that yes I misspelled tri but it is clearly obvious what I said
@@gmcwayoflife yes I could see your concern but I believe when it would fall on it's front the bit or even just the collet would protect the lights from making contact. Either way. Lol
I like it too it also looks red😂😂😂😂😇😇😇😇😇😇😊😊😊😊
🤣👍🏻
What bit are you using
flex
I firmly believe people are reading your pull backwards since you should have made least capitalized and not favorite capitalized it's pretty deceptive.
I don't have one so i never use one and i need one
Sponsored video? @vcg ?
Will Dewalt ever have stacked 12v batteries
Honestly don’t know
It seems like You’re trying to play us with this tool
