Unbelievable! Every video I watch from you Vince it’s more entertaining etc. ...you seriously should be on network TV because you have the knowledge and the character to be a star! You singing HALO.... I almost fell off my chair! Thank you and your teams hard work on getting all this information out to your viewers! I could only imagine the hours that you put in each day to make your video perfect and they are! You and VCG hit that bull’s-eye every time! I am so happy that I stumbled onto your channel months ago because I watch your videos daily! I do miss you and the Mrs. tremendously on the weekends....can’t wait for this virus to end! I need the dynamic duo! She’s awesome and you two are a perfect pair...you both compliment each other so well! Hope you all have a great week! Bob
We appreciate the compliment Robert, we are very passionate about creating a helpful community of awesome people here on RUclips! Thats why our goal is to outdo ourselves every time we publish a video or do a livestream ! I can’t wait for our first Saturday night livestream back at Depot!
VCG Construction ... it shows! When I retire and move back to the East Coast to the Jersey shore I am definitely looking up your company to work on my home! I’ve looked at your work and it’s absolutely breathtaking! Creativity is amazing! Be well Bob
I am an apprentice contractor, and i bought this kit. The drill is better for fine work like cabinetry and sheet rocking rooms, and the impact i have used for building 2x) 8x10 treated lumber decks and band it w/ lean to tops(5/4,2x6,4x4,2x4) on mobile homes and as long as you can alternate the battery preferably around like 1-2 battery indication you’ll do just fine! It held up its own against the likes of Craftsman Brushed Impact 20v, the Makita XTD11 LXT 18v, and the Hart Brushed Drill w/ 2amp 20v battery! I am very impressed with the build and quality of the impact! It has withstood being dropped 8’ from the roof to the wooden deck, and also a 12-13’ ft drop from the top of the mobile home! So if you drop it anywhere near that height you should be fine! I was thinking about going to Skil 20v brushless impact but for my line of work and the time it takes with my crew on the job, it was just too heavy IMO. I like to be able to hold my tool out arm length ALOT so those 18-24v drills/impacts can get VERY heavy for a HOT ASF day in Oklahoma and it’ll just tire you out but I’ve noticed in my time of having it (July 30th - August 16th 2020) it has been better for duration runs only trade off is power and a LITTLE speed. I am greatly happy with this impact, please do a extreme tool test with this product, PLEASE! if I had ANY issues with this product it would be, and it’s very minor, and that without gloves this tool (around the metal) can get very hot to the touch but still operate like a champ!
Watching your videos on the Skil line made me try it. I bought a 5 piece combo kit off of Amazon at a steal. Love them they are my go-to tools now. I also bought the 20v drill and driver combo. Also a great kit. I was invested in Ryobi and Masterforce but I am selling those off so I can buy the Skil line. I am a DYI homeowner that runs a very small woodshop as a hobby and they are great. Keep up the great videos my 1-year-old grandson loves watching your videos. It is hilarious when I turn on one of your videos and he stops whatever he is doing and just watches intensely.
Great video 👍 I am an HVAC technician, general contractor, electrician, and plumber at the current job I am working now. I used to be a contractor full time on my own doing all kinds of jobs. I after the amount of years, time and money I spent doing it I always have the number one question which tool brand is "professional". After watching your videos and seeing the reviews you post, I can say I am a true believer that Milwaukee is by far the most professional on a job site. I have used DeWalt, Makita, Ridgid, and even some Ryobi tools in the past to get some jobs done. While most people on here just post reviews on top high end tools I stumble on your videos that include a generic name brand that isn't too expensive. Since I rely on my tools for a living, I have to get performance and quality out of them so I go with Milwaukee. DeWalt did have a 12v impact driver that had the same light on it as that skill and I like that about it but it lacked in power. For example, I had a job to fix 2 windows in a house on the first floor. I opted to get new construction windows because replacements couldn't fit into the openings. I figured small windows why not bring my DeWalt 12v it's lighter and powerful enough (so I thought) I had to reframe the opening as well didn't plan for that of course. I tried the DeWalt impact but it was taking to long to sink 3 1/2 screws I had brought with me. I had to change to my Milwaukee M12 fuel. That was like night and day it did the job with one battery and had plenty of power all the way through! For 12v performance I definitely go with Milwaukee. 👍💪 I will certainly keep this skill one in mind though for the next time anyone asks me what's a good "at home" tool. Thanks!
I just got some of these Skill 12-volt tools, a drill and impact, I also got the air pump a fan and the circular saw. They're fantastic, as soon as I had that drill in my hand I knew that I was going to be buying more of these. The battery prices are reasonably cheap. The tools are incredibly powerful. For the price, you can't beat it; hands down, best bang-for-the-buck anywhere in the power tool Market
One thing that I can say about Skil 12V tools is I love the brushless oscillating multi tool, it’s definitely quieter and less vibration than my M18 oscillating multi tool, I do like that LED light on that impact driver though.
The skil right angle impact driver is able to drill a 1-1/4 hole with a Milwaukee self feed auger bit through 3 stacked 2x4s no problem as a plumber I cant say enough good things about this tool it has saved my bacon more than a handful of times
I have the Skil 12v drill driver, impact driver, right angle impact driver and oscillating tool. I can't say enough good things about these tools. Skil has really stepped up their game! Thank you for the review, now we need some Skill head to heads against some of the big brands, 12 and 20v.
its gonna be interesting to see how these new skil 12 & 20 volt tools get marketed....not too many people know about these because skil has been out of the game for a long time
i have the 12 kit and it is no joke i didn’t know exactly what to expect and i was replacing an old dewalt kit and these are the best 12v tools i’ve ever used my dad has a 2 year old milwaukee m12 kit and he sold his kit and replaced his kit with these after using mine
I saw your vid at that expo with the skil tools... was very impressed as well...would like to see skil imp go against craftman imp driver at TTR ...i almost got the skil but then seen your craftsman tests...i ended up getting the craftsman ...and l cant emphasis enough....no one tests tools like you guys do...be safe
I'm gifting my dad a 12V Skil PWRCore with impact driver + drill/driver this Christmas. His requirements aren't that many (this kit will replace an off brand drill/driver from HF). Hope he likes it
Just bought it a week ago, and thank God it doesn't have a quick insert collet anymore! To me it's a needless feature that only compromises bit retention. It's a solid 12v tool, and suprisingly powerfull
I bought the whole 12v line right after your first video. Was raring to use this summer then 3 weeks ago got sick. I need open heart surgery next week. So all I can do is look at them for now. If I heal quick I may get to use them by November, lol.
Vince I love the new skil tools. I'd really appreciate it if u used that 12v impact for a month or two on the job and let us know what your thoughts are then.
PS I own the entire 12v pwrcore line except for the inflator and 3/8 impact wrench and can personally recommend them I use them daily give the circular saw a try it puts the m12 saw to shame
Very slick with the two balls comment 😂😂.....I think the new Skill line of tools look really good and that USB port is an awesome addition!!!! I'm stuck between one of these or a 12v Milwaukee driver.....maybe the installation driver... Either way great video guys!!!!
I’ve been recommending and selling the Skil 12v Brushless impact and drill to people coming in looking at craftsman and PC. Everyone that I’ve seen again can’t say enough great things about the Skil tools.
You throw me buck to the 90's with the jump around....you awesome!!! I have the 20v pwrcore jig saw came with 2 amp battery: very comfortable to control ( does not have speed dial), heavy but not too much, cutting clean in wood: 2*4, plywood . Haven't tried it on metals but i think it will do the job with proper blade. the battery charger is fast. But the battery won't give too much working time (20min) with heavy duty jobs, the blades that came with them didn't work good for be so i switched them for Bosch ( much better). If it would come with 2 batteries or one of 5 amp that would be better. I am not a pro , im weakened woodworker but I'm also fixing things around my home. I also have a corded orbital sander from their new line for more than on year and it's great for my woodworking: well constructed, comfortable to use, speed dial, all the sawdust is sucked into a sealed canister and it cost less than the other brands.
I just picked up 5-piece set today. I went to Lowe's to find out what was available after my Makita 12-volt drill driver stopped working. I was unaware of the existence of this tool line, and then I saw the 5-year warranty and thought why not?
The jump charger is a cool feature but it should have a switch or a selector to enable it so your not always charging that fast to preserve your packs. A use it when need it kind of thing.
@@robans No not my phone, but I do run 18650, 20650, 21700 cells for other things and I charge them at a mid rate speed rather than the max speed of my chargers. I
You're funny. Anyway, I was in my local Lowe's and to be perfectly honest i was in a hurry and needed a 12 volt reciprocating saw. Due to heavy recent shoplifting all the Dewalt tools (and the others and at home depot) were locked up and no one came to help me. So i saw the skil line free of such tool jail and given the price of $99 for the set and I was prepared to spend $200 I grabbed the driver as well. No tool bags and two chargers BUT the performance of these two 12 volt brushless tools are just as reliable and strong as any pro brand. I don't build decks but install casework and running trim. Just fyi. Also, charging my phone from a tool battery is just plain great if off in an apartment building with no electricity yet. I've tossed those expensive somewhat worthless battery packs.

Hi Guys!!! I'm digging the Skil cordless tools! Hey, how about a TTR of a Skil 20v brushless Impact driver against the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Impact? Or, the Skill brushless jigsaw against the Milwaukee M18 Fuel jigsaw?
Van Halen’s jump? House of pain’s jump around? Follow up: I was unfamiliar so had to do a search after and looked up kriss cross, lol. Showing my age (54) I suppose. I agree on the dual bearing collet as being the best solution as each bit seems to vary from brand to brand on their retaining divot. In their quest to be universal, some seem to have too shallow a dip while some have a greater throw (amount of movement or slop of bit moving in and out while in collet). Thus decreasing the hold of bearing as it slides further within the divot making it easier for it to slip up and out when retracting the tool. If that makes sense. Or they could just make the outer circumference of collet slightly larger to accommodate a heavier duty and stronger retaining ball spring inside the collet to counter the force of said slop which is simpler than trying getting various companies to agree on specific unified tolerances of all bit retaining divots. Oh, well. Maybe someday. And as long as I’m wishing, I might as well wish for a pony as i have a much better chance at that happening 🤣 In the meantime, hope everyone is well. Hello Vince I believe you have a Chinses built Metabo 12V impact in your inventory. I think that would be a fair TTR. What say you sir ? Also as a side note, I was wondering if you have a Chinese Lowes Craftsman 20V impact. Because I am thinking that the Chinese Craftsman might be slow enough that the Chinese Skil might just catch the Craftsman. That might be an interesting test.
I know at first they have a problem with the collet which would allow you to just pull the quarter inch hex bit right out of the driver without even pulling back on the collet to release it. Has this problem been fixed?

Thank you Vince, went to Lowe’s today and got myself a combo kit on sale for $99. Has this impact and the 12v drill shown in the other video!!
Definitely run it in a ttr.
I just upgraded to Milwaukee m12 gen 2 from my Makita.

Always like a bit keeper slot. Keeps a Phillips handy regardless of what other bits you are using. 👍🏻
House of pain, kriss kross wore clothes backward
I'm really liking this Skill line so far!

Just ordered the skil 12v impact driver and drill kit because you ! 🤙🏼
Vince you were right. Kris Kross was the group that performed Jump
Good video! I like their new line of tools 🛠
Just got one at Lowes. Liking it so far.
I got the drill and impact and it's compact and powerful..very nice tools
Honestly just waiting to see the new flex power tools to come out. Excited to see if they live up to the specs.
Flex is the new standed as far as I can see. There tools, batteries ,run time, charge time r all the best I seen
Criss Cross . Yes Vince !!! 😹😹😹
Great job! Keep up the good work and videos! 👍🧰👍
It's Chris Cross
New kita bit holder, nice
PS I own the entire 12v pwrcore line except for the inflator and 3/8 impact wrench and can personally recommend them I use them daily give the circular saw a try it puts the m12 saw to shame

Nice drill gotta get me one

Need a review on the 6 1/2 circular Saw
Want to see the SKIL 20V line vs the Braun line.
I just picked up 5-piece set today. I went to Lowe's to find out what was available after my Makita 12-volt drill driver stopped working. I was unaware of the existence of this tool line, and then I saw the 5-year warranty and thought why not?
I'm ready to see this in a TTR. I'm loving my pwrcore 12 stuff so far. Circular and oscillating saw are still in the mail though.
I could have spent $4 more and had the drill, driver, circ saw and oscillator from Hart. Hart 20v vs Skil 12v? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yo Fellas! The usb on the batteries is boss! Hope you gentalmen are doing well and have a great rest of your week!
That would be nice to try out maybe go get one sometime soon
That's weird, I just bought the a skil 12v combo kit and my impact does not have quick insert collet.

Pretty strong little 12 volt tool would be a good ttr

Hi Guys!!! I'm digging the Skil cordless tools! Hey, how about a TTR of a Skil 20v brushless Impact driver against the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Impact? Or, the Skill brushless jigsaw against the Milwaukee M18 Fuel jigsaw?
the charger can take 220v input?

Maybe put up against Hitachi or craftsman for TTR
Vince that was an amazing video. My man, keep it coming. LOVIN' THE CONTENT! LETS SEE IT ON TTR BROTHA'!
What is "Your HONEST Opinion" on the RIGID 18V Brushless Hammer Drill and Impact?
I bought these "MAINLY" because of the LIFETIME Battery & Charger Warranty.

Hey Vince! I bought into the Skil 12v because of your other video. My 1/4 impact came in a 5 piece kit and it is not quick insert. Any idea why?
test the 12v soil hammer
Hey Vince, i just saw a Skil 12 volt HAMMER drill on amazon. Would be dope if you checked it out.
I know this is related to your video here but I'm just curious if you ever reviewed the Milwaukee M12 jigsaw I just curious to see how it performs against a 18v jigsaw
No its not Kriss Kross. They did a jump song but House of Pain did jump around.
Hello

I think that would be a fair TTR.
What say you sir ?
Also as a side note, I was wondering if you have a Chinese Lowes Craftsman 20V impact. Because I am thinking that the Chinese Craftsman might be slow enough that the Chinese Skil might just catch the Craftsman. That might be an interesting test.
Wow good call on the Metabo! I only have the USA made craftsman!

Cris cross jump around or house of pain?
I know at first they have a problem with the collet which would allow you to just pull the quarter inch hex bit right out of the driver without even pulling back on the collet to release it. Has this problem been fixed?
I’ll need to test it more thoroughly to let you know, but no problems so far
