- Just a few days ago we showed you 10 new tools that SKIL was launching in their 12V and 20V Brushless lineups. This SKIL IW6739 20V Brushless 3/8" Impact Wrench was in the mix. Stated claims for torque are 170 ft-lbs for tightening and 220 ft-lbs of loosening or breakaway torque. Of course, we cover the features and then push this little 3/8" compact impact wrench to the limits. You can get all this torque in a kit with the IW6739 impact wrench, 2Ah 20V battery, and charger for just $129, and you get a 5-year warranty.

Love the videos. Just a suggestion when a tool stops at say 250 do 275 and then 300 since it moved just at the 300 but would have probably broken loose 275. So if a tool stops at a 50 or 100 just try the 25 after that for it to give a more accurate gauge. Thanks again for the great videos!
Hey props for always being the first (that I know of) tool reviewer to release reviews of new tools. I didn't even realize this was a growing channel until recently. The quality and detail made me think you would've had 500k+ subs at least. Keep up the good work 👍
Great honest review of Skil lines. I hope you go over the 12v as well!
Brother you keep your content creation extremely real world and I respect you for that. Thank you very much.
Would love to see the hart brushless impact driver with the 4ah battry 😈
Yep, that would be nice.
Awesome, thanks for the demo. I'm in their 20v line and am excited about this one.
You did a very honest video. I like the tool. F150 lugs are 100 ftp and F250 is 150 ftp. For the price this is a sweet deal.
Great Review.. thanks for covering Skil’s latest ..!
Can you review the new craftsman high torque impact wrench
It’s literally a red version of the recently discontinued dcf899.
Thanks again for another great video brother.
So far I have been impressed with Skil and their latest offerings.
According to the the website the 1/4 impact driver for the 12 v is claimed to have 1500 inch lbs. That is equal to the Milwaukee m12 fuel.
The 20v is rated at 1800 in lbs. That Is Dewalts 887 rating. For less than half the price with a 5 year warranty that's pretty dang impressive.
Stay strong brothers
Another good review! Thank you. Have you done any under hood light reviews ? Color, cost, brightness. Also general work lights like for use under a car?
Love the light and size. Battery usb and quick charging is great. Wish a little more power. First I remember seeing particles coming from the adapter or was that the tool ?
Hello again Tim
Thank for another Great Video 👍How much warranty does the battery have? Again thank you 😊
I just watched your review of the 1/4inch skil impact and it broke loose 500 ft lbs. I would think the 3/8 drive would do more than the 1/4. Why did the 1/4 do so much more than the 3/8 ?
Very nice review I wonder are they going to come out with a half inch impact wrench. I love those batteries though cuz you can use it to charge your cell phone especially doing a power outage why not get the most out of the use of the battery.
there's already a compact 1/2 impact wrench but it does similar numbers (at least on paper) to this one. I believe model number is IW5739 and can be had for less than $150 with a 5Ah battery
The 1/4 inch impact driver that skil makes smoked this not sure why if you can explain this I would appreciate it if not I understand for I'm scratching my head by the way love your videos and honest testing I watch your videos before I buy and believe me I'm picky
How wil it perform with a bigger battery? Will it loosen the 350?
Do another test...that was only a 2ah battery, try 4ah...Awsome Videos
Good option, however I'll stick to my red m12 since I dont want to swap platform
I like the halo light.
Breathing holes? You mean dirt clogged holes that will cause overheating later on right.?
It's a good impact very good by werthe.
Getting tonight for car.lug nuts
LET'S GO TJ!🏁
When do these come out? I can’t find them for sale anywhere?
Can you do ingco tools. Gaining popularity outside the US. chinese company. I think available in the US.
Whoever came up with that light is a genius.
Had tool w a light like that. Worthless once socket is on it and your hand
Wouw Wouw Wouw love that
does take time with electric impacts they not air impact
@14:50. Where’s the new high torque videos? 😭 😭 😭
This tool is like $80 at Lowes on clearance.
Ordered one earlier got it for $60 because i had a $25 gift card that I've been holding on to. Will come in handy in tight places.
Can the milwaukee battery use in this skil impact?
No, it's not anything like it. Thanks for watching.
Why don't you guys set an alarm at 10 seconds already. It wasn't moving at 10 seconds it didn't start moving till like 15 and you do this all the time. Or give it a 15-second test already
11:50 why TF would you only want to spin something a few turns after breaking it loose?
.
im a mechanic..... usually a break loose by hand.... and finish using an air tool (air ratchet or impact, depending on the job)
and if i were to break a head bolt loose using an impact..... id just spin it out the whole way
.
.
this isnt like.... 1/4 turn on each head bolt to prevent warp..... then another 1/4 turn on all of them, 1/4, 1/4, ETC ETC
its SEVERAL turns.... which means the bolt isnt going to be contacting the head anymore.......
.
.
.
i just DO NOT!!! see the use case for that "removal mode"
.
if anything.... removal mode should be the HIGHEST power you can get
disable all the over temp protection..... make the motor turn faster (somehow, IDK how)
.
.
.
if anyone can come up with a use-case.... where you want to break something free, and then only turn it 2 or 3 times
let me know
.
because i currently think its a GIMMICK!!!!
a WORTHLESS gimmick!!! which is even worse than a gimmick that 10% of people could use
.
F-hen 0% of people would use that "removal mode"
Lol. I guess you really hate that Removal Mode. You spent a lot of time writing that out. I hope that you can find some peace. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews that took me about 2 mins (I type fast, and like to do it)
.
I still don't see a use case for it
Do you??
.
.
Again, you usually just spin bolts/nuts all the way off
.
Do they want you to break it loose with the impact... then use hand tools to remove it the rest of the way?
.
Ya know... completely ass backwards to industry standard practices??
bigger battery???
🤩🤩🤩🤩
"just kidding"
Lol. you like that? Thanks for watching.
if you torque a bolt/nut to 200 foot pounds..... IT WILL!!!! take less to break it loose
.
its simply how threads work.........
so saying "it has 200 foot pounds.... because it broke a nut loose that i torqued to 200" IS WRONG!!!
.
its probably closer to 180 foot pounds......
It's actually less than that. Typically, it takes about 20 to 25% less torque to remove a fastener than to tighten. However, this has all to do with lubricant, ramp of the threads, etc. Manufacturers have been touting breakaway/nut-busting/loosening torque for years, and this is the way they calculated. Thus, we are trying to replicate their claims. Thanks for watching.
footpounds wtf is that
I would skip this, to me is just not quite enough torque.
It is if the 5ah battery was used.
**turns volume down**
Sorry about that. We think we've gotten better with the volume. During editing now, we drop the volume when the impact is being used. Thanks for watching.
I love how ugly that torque wrench is
keep dreaming little buddy
