In this video I take the Dewalt Extreme 12Volt Impact driver and put it threw a series of tests and compare it to the Skil PWR CORE 12V Impact Driver.
Which tool line is best for you. I know Dewalt has a lot of tools coming out this year, But skil has quite a few tools out already.

Thanks man, You know I was looking around the shop the other day and I don't know, I don't really have anything that is big and powerful, I mainly use my 12V stuff now.
@@Impact-OG it really isn't a competition as much as it is a way to show solidarity as a community. Also, we donate to charity. If you need to use an impact wrench you can. I am pretty easy to get along with.

Like the Skil being less wobble and significantly less in price. The DeWALT is a more advanced tool (except the wobble) though, nice if one is okay with paying the higher price.
The Dewalt was only $99 which isn't bad for a kit you know. I got my new Dewalt power screw driver kit for 79 bucks, You just have to keep an eye on the prices, Lowes is very shady about there prices they will say new low price on a tool or battery but then 6 months later its back up to a higher price. Drives me crazy I was just going to buy a new 36V Hitachi muli volt, which use to be $89 now its back up to $139 WTF lowes

Just got the Skil 12V 5 tool combo kit for $99 at Lowe’s. For the price, I couldn’t pass.

Great video. It looks like either one would be a nice addition, as usual, it depends on what battery platform you are on.
that chuck wobble really frustrates me . makes using an extention to put in screws very difficult . thankyou for pointing that out
I have both and i have had bits slip out of the dewalt's chuck more times than i can count. The dewalt is hard to beat but both are awesome tools. For reference i am a service man for America's largest home builder so my tools defiantly get used.
I own a window and glass company and only use 12v Dwalts. Planning on getting the Skill for home use.

And its battery is a standalone usb phone charger. And it has built in night light only feature. And many have stop in reverse built in when no tension detected. More features than Dewalt
Skill has USB charging option on battery: nice extra feature plus fast rapid charging 5 min brings 25% of power

I your opinion, whats the best 12v impact driver; performance, comfort, power. Precision, and battery options? I'm keeping the but always like having other impacts around (electrician journey man)
Speaking of the"ramp up", using the Dewault impact for drywall caused many screws to sink too deep. At least the Milwaukee had a variable trigger and low low settings. Just might be a good thing for Skil. Dunno
Great video!!!, but if the skil costs probably half as much, shouldn't the Dewalt be twice as good as the Skil?? It seems like you can buy 2 skils for 1 Dewalt .
I mean the Dewalt kit was $99 at Lowes, and the Skil was $79.99, I mean not a huge difference. If you buy the Skil kit that has two 2.0ah battery's then that kit is $99
I have the Skil pwr core 12v combo, got it when it first hit Lowes, I paid $99 for them ...owned them Two yrs and the impact quit working..have to smack it on the side for it to work and yep, there is a trigger delay that is very noticeable
This guy has always preferred to buy Skil than DeWalt cuz of the price difference and for what I need them for it works for me
I’ve determined that Skil is basically a budget friendly version of Dewalt. Can’t go wrong with either.

Yes!!! Dewalt take for ever to come out with new tools, really 2 years later for a saw! Come on dewalt get with it.

You didn't mention price or warranty. You could probably buy 2 Skil drivers for the price of a Dewalt. Also. Skil's products have a 5 year warranty. Finally, the lower RPM's of the Skil is most likely by design meaning it has a lower gear ratio = less current = more usage b4 recharge. I'll live with the extra 2 seconds to drive a 6" Spax and gladly go with the Skil.

Just picked up the Skil with the drill kit for $60. I’m liking em for the price so far. Definitely wanted the impact for that halo ring, lol. I’d love to see the 12v circ saw (vs the Milwaukee 12v if you have it)

Yes I am picking up the dewalt saw, I had the Milwaukee but I don't have it at the moment but maybe I can barrow one from a friend. So we will see, thanks for watching
I have both platforms (m12 and xtreme), as for circular saw, I would recommend the dewalt. Milwaukee is not even close to dewalt in performance.
@@cawicab1 yeah, I’ve seen the dewalt do work. Might start in that eventually, but I’m in 7 tool lines as is, lol. Dewalt is the only line I’m not in really (have a corded circ saw and the gyroscopic screwdriver)
@@cawicab1 picked up the dewalt circ for free with the xtreme kit, and grabbed the m12 circ with the battery hack they have going on. I’m gonna compare em this weekend, but just firing them up with no load, the m12 doesn’t even sound like it’s in the same class as the xtreme

They raised the Dewalts price now, but it was $99 and skil $79 so it's not bad.

Skil 12v line is too big for a 12v. It’s bigger than a lot of 18v tools.

The skil is well made for sure. It has zero wobble. Just a little big as a previously mentioned. But still love it and the ring light!
