Anyway, we were enjoying the house and beach one day and a guy drove by and asked my mom if she wanted some horse manure on a bed of pelargoniums (like geraniums) in front of the house. Great video and thanks for bring us along.
Here's another perfectly logical example for why this channel has its name,,, After watching Ms.Clever's deep loving commitment 4 these horses I have nick named her the common sense kid - its a term of endearment since unfortunately common sense seems 2 have diminished over the years & isn't as common as it should be - neither is a good work ethic (this gal has a ton of) especially with America's young people who are being seduced by technology : ( (This woman is 1 of the best teachers on u-tube - luv seeing how she cares 4 her horses)
Hi CC. I am over 80 so I’m not an active equestrian. I had to promise at age 8 to study accordion for 5 years. If I did that when the 5 years were over, I would get a horse. When I asked when my horse would arrive, I was told that no horse was coming for me. I told My parents- no horse, no accordion! Needless to say I am now over 80 and no horse on the horizon yet! I have so enjoyed and learned so much from your videos! I figure when I get to my future days, I’ll be ready for my own “Ziggy” Good luck with finding a new place for all the horses and a stable hand to help with the turds!
I remember all too well mucking out the barn every morning for the cows & horses before going to school. A lot of work, you need viewers to volunteer to help you out. 😂
You are a Bobcat Bandit!!! It scared the mules something fierce, and I was lousy at driving the thing. Frozen turd piles are so heavy! The Herd looks healthy and loved after a mountain winter!

Stewy looks so smart, and understanding when you go and say hi. I love your channel, and this video reminds me of when I once upon a time lived in a town I'll call Doham. It was a large farming community but had a charming small town feel, and home to one of one of the largest Fairs in the state. It began to grow with many, what we called Yuppies (Young Up and coming Professionals) moving in and building very large houses on what was once fertile farmland beginning sometime in the early 1700's. In a favorite area of mine there was an expansive farm that raised many, many horses. I used to drive by and sometimes sit, getting my horse therapy. The smell, feel, and mere sight of watching the beautiful creatures did wonders for my spirit. After many parcels of land nearby were sold and developed with homes, the "neighborhood' became inundated with many joggers, bicyclists, and other outdoor enthusiasts. After some time there was an article in the local newspaper that said how many people in this "new" area were starting a petition to monitor the farm and the amount of horses they could maintain. All of this started over what they called, "the obscene odors of horse manure." I am not being fictitious here. Lawyers who had recently moved in and invested their time and money became involved and successfully got enough people on a petition to force some ridiculously stringent orders and rules to this farm that had been operating for many generations. Some of the rules were sadly disturbing such as where and how to store the manure, and even imposed a limit on the amount of horses they could have. It obviously split the town between the older residents and the new, and was disenchanting to watch. My time there ended because of prior commitments. I was happy to leave because many of the newer people were getting into politics and surprisingly had many supporters. They were somewhat victorious too in changing what was once a charming and idealic place. I still go through the town from time to time, but it lost so much purity to me. The horse farm is still there, and although it has been encroached upon, it is still breeding and taking care of horses. I left a lot of details out, some by choice, others I can't remember. Thanks for reminding me of this C.C. Keep on making that beautiful, "Stinkin', smelly gold," as it is so healthy to our nostrils, and beneficial to many, many farmers, agriculturists, and mycologists, as well as the wild life.
@@TheCleverCowgirl I can't say I agree with it in a small state like Rhode Island or Connecticut, but I could begin to understand, but that's it-- especially if it is in a rural area with much acreage surrounding it. In a states such as California, Texas, Montana, etc. it is Blasphemy, and more. Twenty acres is more than sufficient for at least ten horses, and I am no means an expert but my honest estimation would be an acre per horse, and please correct me if I am wrong, or out of my league. Thanks again for your interesting content and the Horse Therapy that I get.
When we had horses we called them “pot rocks”. We used wood shavings top. Horse manure is the best fertilizer for outdoor gardening as far as I am concerned. I am hopelessly in love with Nigel.

It’s so nice when you work hard all day and see beautiful pens at the end. Everyone is happily munching hay on a clean lot.
I love watching Tiny do her job! She looks like my cat Tabs!
Great video and thanks for bring us along.
Seeing you so giddy and gleeful about poop pile day was adorable.
Here's another perfectly logical example for why this channel has its name,,,
After watching Ms.Clever's deep loving commitment 4 these horses I have nick named her the common sense kid - its a term of endearment since unfortunately common sense seems 2 have diminished over the years & isn't as common as it should be - neither is a good work ethic (this gal has a ton of) especially with America's young people who are being seduced by technology : (
(This woman is 1 of the best teachers on u-tube - luv seeing how she cares 4 her horses)
Must admit I have never found moving turds so interesting, I never thought I would say that in my lifetime.
😂🤣
Needless to say I am now
over 80 and no horse on the horizon yet! I have so enjoyed and learned so much from your videos! I figure when I get to my future days, I’ll be ready for my own “Ziggy”
Good luck with finding a new place for all the horses and a stable hand to help with the turds!
You have a Beautiful day ❤❤❤❤❤ Be Blessed ❤❤❤❤❤
I remember all too well mucking out the barn every morning for the cows & horses before going to school. A lot of work, you need viewers to volunteer to help you out. 😂
70 waiting but only 35 likes? You know you’re going to like the video
I love the videos ❤️
You are a Bobcat Bandit!!! It scared the mules something fierce, and I was lousy at driving the thing. Frozen turd piles are so heavy! The Herd looks healthy and loved after a mountain winter!
Wow, you did a really nice job on your land. It looks so much better! You should definitely give yourself a pat on the back and do some self care. I am amazed by all you do for your horses all by yourself. You are definitely one of the strongest women that I get to watch. Thank you for all you do!
We are running into this when looking for a property! 10-20acres parcels but only 2 horses allowed! Blasphemy!
As a gardener I know horse poo is fantastic for the garden 😀 ❤
Hello from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina! We love your show! ❤
Look at all that Black Gold!! Good stuff right there. ❤
We have people just come and get what they want, it is truly a benefit to have neighbors who want and need manure for an excellent substrate!
Horse manure is great for flowers too. Especially when you're transplanting roses and in the spring before the first bloom
When we had horses we called them “pot rocks”. We used wood shavings top. Horse manure is the best fertilizer for outdoor gardening as far as I am concerned. I am hopelessly in love with Nigel.
Hi from the south coast of the UK...🇬🇧
Another successful turd day !!!thanks again for your work !!! 😊
Aww Stewy is a sweet guy! These little figures are cute
I love a person that works as hard as I do!!! There are not many of us left❤
All jobs contribute to a successful life! Even turds!! 😂 ❤
THE MOST down-to-earth video of the year 2024 on utub!!!!!❤❤❤ Congratulations😊😊😊 WellDone!Absolutely beautiful scenery!! Kisses to Tiny😘
Use to compost just like you do. Made good money at it. 'Bob' my 743 Bobcat skid steer is my most important piece of equipment on my little farm. The heat in the compost pile can really get up there. I used to wrap eggs in their cartoon wrap in double plastic and shove them deep into the heat of the pile. Retrieve them a few days later for the best no effort hard cooked eggs ever! Really enjoy your videos.
I've seen many manure piles catch fire if you are not carefully! Luckily it isn't too windy here , so it is less of a problem
I loved watching this video. I love to hear your voice every now and then when you talk to the animals. My kids are farmer/ranchers with sheep so I am familiar with some of your chores. I just want to say I admire you and love you for all that you do....for your values....and your big heart. Keep your videos coming because they help me make it through the day. Namaste'
There may a large number of us who feel exactly as you do ⾺
Good morning from Idaho. You could move here; we are not as cold as Montana! Would love to meet you.
It is one of the places on our list!
@@TheCleverCowgirl Steer clear of Moscow, Idaho. I've been following the 'Idaho 4' fiasco/turmoil with all the news coverage, theories, innuendo, etc. Probably a good place not to be.
Inexplicable community strangeness all the way around....
I love to see dedication. This video is an example of it. Everything meaningful takes work. Thank you for sharing what it takes.
Congratulations on getting some really big chores checked off your list! My hope is that there could be a huge number of people who choose to keep their horses the way you do!. If I could, I would be out there every day helping with each chore. As it is, I can at least cheer you on and admire what you do. 💕💕🐎💕💕
