You know, you talk a lot about how close the three of you are, what a tight team you are, and how important it is to you. But when you reached up and casually pulled Kev's face shield down before you started the grinder, that said more than any words.
I thought the EXACT same thing; actions always speak WAY louder than words!
"I don't want an insurance claim against me"?......
I have also been noticing what a great 'wrapper' Kevin is...must feel good on the cows' foot.
I thought it was so sweet 😊
Had exactly the same thought
Can anybody explain why hoof trimming videos are so interesting? I don't know why I can't stop watching them.
It feels cleansing
It's kinda like taking the pimple-popping videos to another level!😅
I feel the same way. For me, it's so satisfying to see the beautiful hoof emerge at the end and all the issues and problems being treated as well ❤ 🐄❤ 🐮
It’s Graeme’s personality and that of his crew!
I think we all have a desire to alleviate suffering. And these guys do that every day.
This channel has my 5yo daughter wanting to be a hoof trimmer. Every day she wants to watch the cow videos before bed.
@knight838_ That's really cute!
That's so cute
That's possibly answered the question I have, which is "what makes somebody wake up one day and think "I want to give cows manicures for a living"?" You're not concerned about your daughter's apparrent comfort with watching all the goo pour out of some of the hooves?
..so you don't mind her watching when he says "put it (the trailer) in slowly..that's what SHE said"? He's great..but he also should understand who ALL is watching him
Those who are old enough to understand what YOU are thinking hearing this - well, they are old enough. Those who are too young won't understand anyway.
I am a foot care nurse.😊 I go house to house trimming seniors toenails. Why am I watching you trimming cows 🐄 toenails? Lol
I'm a retired nurse. I also grew up on a farm. I cringe and then laugh at myself every time they start working on the hoof without cleaning it first. I also keep waiting for a scalpel and a Dremel to be used.😂
Because you think he's cute.
@@Freedompatrolhe is 😂
Hysterical.
Bussman's holiday?
I feel like the intro song doesn't get the love it deserves. It's just so perfect for this channel.
I always sing along 🎤😍
Anybody know the singer?
I would also be fine with Saw Is the Law by Whitechapel

You know whats really cool? When you discover your whole family from 8 years to 58 years of age are all subscribed to The Hoof GP. Keep the amazing videos coming love.
How did you happen to discover that? If you dont mind sharing, that is. It does not seem like something that would come up naturally in conversation. That being said, Ive told my whole family about this channel, but they were all revolted by my descriptions and had no curiosity to see for themselves, lol.
5 year olds too!
I hope you all have the "Herd" merch.😊
My youngest sister called me one day, she gets quiet for a few seconds, then she said, you’re watching the Hoof GP, aren’t you? I said, you watch him, too!? She says, yeah, that puss coming out of hooves is so cool! I dairy farmed with my dad for 25 years, I had no idea my sister had such a curious interest. Still doesn’t explain my interest in your channel lol
I’m 75 and love it and hi and his crew!❤❤❤
I live in Wyoming we still have 3 ft snow drifts in the backyard. Wyoming does have Four Seasons however they are called winter, still winter, almost winter, and Road construction.
Hey neighbor! Colorado here
Sounds like Alaska 😂
Lol my ND friend says the same thing about there
Too funny! It’s great how people just adapt and love a place for what it is
You forgot Frontier Days
I was in labor for four days with my child. The epidural wore off... these videos were the only thing that calmed my stress. They are magical.
😳
From a retired lorry driver. Always be straight before you start backing and while backing if you're attempting to go straight use your side mirrors and if you see it in the mirror steer towards it. That will straighten you back out but be careful not to oversteer because you will end up Jack knifing your trailer
Where have you been all my life!?! My Army friends in Maine started calling me “Crash” after a series of reverse accidents…😳🥴😘
oversteering is real!!! i like an incremental process, with corrections as needed.
TMI
Ahh, unsolicited admvise on youtube, annoyingly alive and well smfh. Feel better about yourself now? Needed that little self importance boost?
So if t you see the trailer in your side mirrors just turn your staring wheel slightly in that direction ;
I grew up on a farm here in NE Colorado, USA, I still reside here, but our family farm was sold several years back. My dad and brothers farmed sugar beets, pinto beans, corn and hay (alfalfa). We also had feeder cattle. I remember one year they received another truck load of cattle - it never failed how they always arrived late at night. There was a couple steers that were sickly and weak, my dad & brothers put them up in the cattle barn. Our veterinarian treated these 2 boys, and I remember the "Doc" so well, such a kind-hearted dr who loved and respected all of God's creatures. He told my sister and I to give the 2 steers some attention everyday, that it would help them to heal. We became very close to those 2 big boys, they became like giant dogs, following us on walks, soaking in all the love we gave them, nuzzling us whenever we stopped loving on them🥰 We named them Frick & Frack, my dad kept those 2 steers, they lived a long and very happy life. I miss them both, watching you provide care for these cattle males my heart happy!! Thanks again!!❤
Hey neighbor! Parker. CO
My family from Hasty, Co in the early 1900’s,. Been there on the ‘dry land’ visiting when I was growing up in the 1950’s . I remember the beet silos there!
That’s such a sweet story!
Hello from SE Colorado! Arkansas Valley
Credit where due... He did a damn sight better backing that trailer in than probably 3/4 of the "professional" truck drivers I see on my loading dock at work do with their rigs!
Here in Iceland, we have three seasons: Autumn, Winter, and Hope. The hope for a few days of sunshine. But, the few beautiful days in the summer are beyond description 😊
And when hope fails, then we get the occasional snowy period in June. That's when the saying, "if you don't like the weather... give it a few minutes" becomes very true😂
I'd love to visit the far north someday. Not sure if I'll ever get to do it, but I've seen pictures, and it is amazingly beautiful.
Bailing twine - the duct tape of agriculture.
Very true. Always carry twine & duct tape. Essentials.
Yes, even here in Wyoming, we've got fencing attached to a hay feeder with bailing twine, in an effort to keep our calves penned in (so far unsuccessfully).
@@MsMorganGirls Wow, now that's one beautiful place to be carrying twine & duct tape in. ❤
Hay string, duct tape and ZIP TIES! You can fix anything!
Making sure he has his face shield down was not only really sweet, but shows the spacial awareness they have. Calling out, communicating, and paying attention to not just their own safety, but each others. 20:00
Why doesn’t this guy have a documentary about this, like he could legitimately have a show on cable he fits perfectly
One of my most beloved teachers was Scottish. He taught science when I was in middle school, and his passion for the subject made science come alive for me. Hearing your accent takes me back to those awesome times. I could listen to you talk all day.
The rain at the beginning of the video was absolute perfection
How is our weather? Well Thursday night we were devastated by a tornado and are trying to recover. Our roof is gone, back siding and busted windows.
Our small community was utterly ravaged.
But these videos take my mind off everything for a few minutes and I can breathe a bit.
So sorry thar happened to you
Scary stuff. I hope you guys recover well and no one got hurt
Love how you reached up and put Kev's face shield down before you started grinding. Shows you care about the safety of not only yourself, but of those around you. We hear how close y'all are all the time, which we love, but this one small action really showed it. Actions speak so loudly. Love y'all 💜
Nice to see one of your former cow patients wandering into the picture showing off her totally healed gait.
I always enjoy watching Kevin. His laid-back attitude and nonchalant approach to everything around him makes me realize how life should be led. Work hard, and don't let the little things get you down. I bet he is a hoot to hang out in a pub with. Him sitting at a table in the corner, reciting classic Scottish literature or Robert Burns while drinking a pint or dram of good whiskey.
Thanks for working on the shipping to NZ. Really appreciate the love for our little corner of the world
I’m from the US and I worked for a company in Hamilton just outside of Glasgow. I worked for them for ten years and to my pleasure I spent a lot of time in Scotland. My first visit I was getting in the car with a colleague and he pulled a squeegee out of his boot. I had those cartoon question marks popping up around my head. Being from New England it took me no time to get it: it’s the Glasgow ice scraper (better than a Glasgow smile from what I gather.). I’ve travelled extensively and never felt more welcome than in Scotland. 🏴
We don't have cattle, but the neighbor behind us has a small her of F1's, and he's currently got a black Angus bull turned out with the heifers. Several of the cows have made friends with my black lab. They come to the fence behind the house and moo until they see my dog at the back door. I let him out, and he runs to the fence to say hello to them. Recently, a couple of braver cows have been touching noses, and have even licked my dog. I'm hoping he gets some calves this year.
That would be the bulls' job, not the dog 🐕... Lol
I watch a few hoof trimmers. I find you are the most talented, and so absolutely enjoyable to watch. When I was a kid, at a friend’s farm, I was the official cow petter. I loved spending time with the cows.
My name is John, I wish I could subscribe but I’m retired and have a fixed income. Your videos take me back when I was a kid growing up on my uncle’s dairy farm. I remember the way we had to trim with only a rope to hold the cows. You’re a great person Thank you
there is no cost to subscribe
Yes, you can subscribe for nothing. Graeme, Craig and Kevin take such good care of these beautiful animals. I miss the red and black Holsteins I grew up with. Their huge, liquid brown eyes with those long lashes. The big babies, always looking for a scratch behind the ear or top of the head. Or sniffing around for a treat, they knew who spoiled them. ❤️🤍🖤🐄🌽🍫

The Hoof GP merch is top quality & super fast shipping. Thanks Graeme for getting the shipping down. So proud to be part of the Hoof GP family! 💚🐄🧡🐂💚
Were you paid to make this post? Seems sus
@streetDAOC no I was not. I've been a subscriber almost since the beginning & usually people in the comments here are kind to one another, unlike some groups I've seen. The shipping for his merch to the U.S. used to be around $20 but now he's gotten it down around $7 which makes it more affordable. I ordered a shirt, hoodie & coffee cup & it is extremely good quality. So I was paying a compliment where a compliment was due. These days many people just complain about everything but never tell someone when they've done a good job or something nice. I believe in complimenting when someone deserves it. I'm sorry you feel the need to think there is anything suspicious about that. It actually makes you feel good to be kind, more people should try it, don't you agree?
Your weather looks a lot like southwestern Oregon, USA, but a bit colder. People complain, but I came home for the rain. The world is green here. Love it.
I'm an Arizonan, and my family took a trip to Oregon when I was 12, and it was the most magical place I'd ever seen. Fruits, herbs, massive flowers, moss, mushrooms, just growing everywhere like weeds. We don't have anything on that scale here, but I'm determined to go back there, some day, before I die (I'm 38). I'm so tired of the dry, burning dessert sun and struggle to grow anything here.
What is with the Oregon-Arizona connection? I'm an Oregon transplant and it seems like a lot of people switch between the two states. Just curious and off topic I know but I've wondered about it for years.❤
I'm from the PNW and I'm often thought the same. We are having a nice false spring weekend, its absolutely beautiful!
I’m envious! The PNW is my favorite part of the country - specifically the Oregon and Washington coast. When folks tell me I’d get tired of the rain, I have to disagree. I enjoy rain and storms - the smell, the electricity in the air, the sound of the rain and thunder - awesome! Not to mention, the absolutely gorgeous greenery. 🥰
Graeme, I want to thank you, Craig & Kevin for taking such good care of these beautiful animals. I miss my cowsies. I'm so excited about the shirt you designed. Waiting like a kid at Christmas. ❤️🤍🖤🐄
Thanks for teaching us city muggles to appreciate farm works. ❤
It’s great to see you making sure Kev was safe by pulling down his shield. You’re a fantastic boss!
Graeme, Thank you for showing us how it feels to be deep into your work, looking after the cows, focussing on it that intensely.
I program computers. When I'm deep in my work, focussed on what I'm doing, I feel the same thing. Each programmer has their own specialty, but the part I love the best is when I've taken in what the customer wants, and I'm sitting there nutting out how I'm going to solve it, how the logic is going to work. I love designing the solution. When I'm deep into that, my hands sing.
Looking at it from the outside, our fields of work couldn't be any different. Looking at it from the inside, for both of us, our jobs sing.
Hi all, name Gary, my friends call me Gunni and I am new to the channel. I most certainly have to admit this channel is great! Just have a question that you may have answered already, but here it is, when did hoof trimming start?
And I loved the backing up of the rig Reminded me of my time driving rigs in the military. Great times.
Before I joined the US Army, I lived in southwestern Germany and for a summer I helped a good friend of mine with herding and taking care of his sheep. 300 of the muggers. Enjoyed and miss those times, such freedom!
Keep up the great work and keep on trimming!! Cheers!
What I love most about these videos, besides that cows are being helped, is the carefree attitude that these guys have which translates to work hard and have fun doing it! ❤
You know what they say, "if you enjoy your work, you'll never work a day in your life".
Having driven truck over-the-road for twenty-four years -- 18 wheelers" -- watching Craig back that trailer up was . . . entertaining. LOL
This channel feels like home ❤
Warm, cozy, full of good feelings and good humor 😂
Yesterday here in North Carolina USA it was 82° and sunny... That's right March 14th... But today it's 75 and raining... Besides rain is much much more preferable than snow😊
Pretty much the same for us. Hi from Louisville, Tennessee!
We had rain for maybe 5 minutes in Wilmington...
My sister got 4 feet of snow in CO.
Except it was in the 30s and 40s in the morning this week in NC…
Snow is magical.
I'm impressed by how solid your roads are in such rugged weather.
I love watching these cow pedicures. Idk why but its relaxing to me. Perhaps a combination of your accent/voice &the care shown towards the clients (cows)🥹
Hello Gream, from Richard in Bellingham, Washington State in the US. I'm a long time fan of your page. I just wanted to check in and say howdy, and thank you, Mrs. HGP, and the rest, for so many years of, in my mind, instructional entertainment. I'm on a fixed income, so i need to budget and save up for a hoodie and coffie cup. But, I'll get there. Thanks again my friend!!!
Kev is always looking happy.
Craigie Boy did a great job backing in the equipment! You need some backup cameras for the trailer - or top back of the crush. When we replaced my 15 year old van with a new vehicle, it came with a ton of built in gear including cameras and sensors on front, back, and both sides….incredibly useful! Backing up with or without a trailer has always been a challenge for me, so I appreciate seeing someone do it so neatly. Cheers! ❤️🐄
Nattie and Oliver will be perfect for each other both have the kindest and gentle soul!! Perfect soul mates, I love these two fur babies...they are going to have sweet and gentle beautiful babies!! ❤❤ I know it will be awhile but can't wait to see them!!😊
It's still chilly here, and often damp but we need it.
Watching you pull Kev's face shield down was so sweet, just casually showing care for your team.
Irreparable? Fubared is a technical term too! And a great one.
What a noble job caring for animals. Thank you.
Thank you for letting us into your world! Seeing all the cows is truly fun!
It seems like a year or so ago I had RUclips recommend this channel to me, and I had no idea why, but I am so glad it did. Keep up the great work with the videos. They are so informative, and it's obvious how much the cows mean to you all.
I successfully ordered the white HGP T-Shirt and had it delivered to the Chicago area of the USA. Had no issues and was very happy with the shirt itself...
Hello from Sweden. We have almost got rid of all the snow here in Dalsland, ner the norwegian border. But Therese can still come more. In the garden there are tulips and dafodils about 2 cm high. I live in Denmark, the" yess spring...oh ,great, snow again " is really familiar,t hey have threathened us with snow again in this week, its bad,and we were just in italy in 21 degrees for a week so if feels much worse than normally. but we will get there, there is a lot og spring flowers in our garden and the birds are nesting, the squrrils are running around on the roed acting crazy because they will be breeding soon. We have small lambs in the forrest we live next to,and even if its pouring down its always a great spring joy to go visit and give their parents a couple of carrots.
We have the opposite weather in Western Australia..Our winter is still probably better than your summer...the older I get the more I long for cold weather ...another great vid from you and the boys 💛💛
Oh I would love rain 🌧 I'm in Australia and we've been suffering through a heatwave here. Summer just finished officially but we are still shrivelling up in the heat here 🌡🥵 Love your channel.
You and me both, though I'm in North America, and we're in the middle of a severe drought.
I’m in SoCal and it’s been raining nonstop today and like 50F. Kinda wishing for the opposite lol. A nice 85-90F would be appreciated.
@@thebeardedatheist I'm in Melbourne, Australia. The climate here is actually pretty similar to SoCal, since we're at roughly the same latitude - except that the seasons are reversed, so it's early autumn here. Today wasn't too bad, about 85°F, although it was pretty warm overnight. But a week ago the temperatures reached well over 100°F during the day, and one night it didn't drop below 80°F. That was not fun. I'd much rather deal with cold and rain than crazy heat and catastrophic fire danger.
It's beautiful Springtime in Arkansas USA. The morel mushrooms should be popping up very soon! Spring is my favorite season- green everything!😊💚
Reversing a short trailer is such a double edged sword! They respond quickly to any turns you make, but that also means you can jackknife all of a sudden if you lose focus for even a second, or overcorrect, or anything like that. I've done a decent amount of trailering in my job and its tough! Good job Craig!
I have to mention again how I love all your song/music choices. Also, I love how you show getting ready for work as well as ending your day. Seeing all the boys and the jokes puts a smile on my face. It’s not all just trimming and patching up. I totally enjoy seeing your country as it was my dream as a child to visit Scotland, rain and all. (I’m in the states. Newly moved from New Jersey to South Carolina where the weather is warmer and we get no snow! Hallelujah!) 🙌🏼 Cannot wait to receive my tee you created!
Have you turned into Peter Kay… ‘it’s that fine rain that soaks you through’…😂
😂 Exactly what I was thinking!
Scotland doesn't get "fine" rain 😂 it's lots of very wet heavy rain. He meant the rain is okay coz it's a little warmer now and not freezing cold like winter rain.
Thanks for taking the time to explain the ‘rain’ in Scotland, I know exactly what he meant but a little light relief, the ‘Peter Kay’ joke, but if you haven’t seen it you won’t understand.. the rain in Thurso is never ‘warm’ 😂😂😂
Yeah I've seen the Bolton stand up about the fine rain and how the dinner ladies start shouting "everyone inside it's raining" Peter Kay is awesome lol
Absolutely, he’s great and so spot on, that fine rain and the dinner lady’s 😂😂😂brilliant…!

Warm rain really is the best. Makes for a good barefoot walk. Soaking up all the good things the earth has to offer.
It has been wet, windy & cold in Birmingham but the croci, Daffodills & snowdrops are flowering so spring is here.
Spring time in Pennsylvania USA, same as what you’re describing. Dreary, rainy, chilly, with snow showers. I adore your channel and got my husband watching with me! You guys are awesome! ❤
So many things to praise about these videos, but, whatever else, you are an advertisement for the Scottish educational system. The vocabulary + proper use of grammar alone are exceptional!
🤣🤣🤣 No pressure on Craig, then, trying to reverse the trailer with the camera on him and you two commentating from the peanut gallery! 😂😂 I love how Kevin doesn't say much, but he has a very expressive face. 😂
You’ve got that “been to Nashville, and had a beer” relaxed look!
I just love how cute and a little bit confused the cows look around, when you work on them.
You got me hooked on these videos for no apparent reason. Every one I watch, though, all I can think is he's slicing up poopy potato chips...and I still dig it.😁

I love watching you work on your animals. Such caring for them. Glad you do what you do.. I also love your accent ! 😂❤ Your very good looking to. Take care !
I like how you also show the time-lapse of you going through other cows that don't have any problems outside of needing a trim. It just exemplifies what you said one time, about how the cows that need more help are the minority of cows you see.
Greame looking after Kevin with his visor while his hands were full. This little gesture speaks volumes to the love and respect they have for each other. Something you don't see everyday, speaking from experience. Idk about the rest of ya'll, but that just hit differently😁😁
Looking good sir, snow has melted for the most part here in Montreal, getting ready for spring and then a nice summer to follow. Safe travels and continue with the great videos.
