- Found a set of Color match Rubicon Fenders for a great price and decided that a little of extra clearance would be nice for when I get 37" tires.
As of today that I'm uploading this video, Jeep Beach has been cancelled. Hopefully this Corona Virus goes by soon and all of those affected can go back to normal.
**Update**
Turn signals are giving a warning for light bulb out as now I have LED instead of a hallogen bulb. Jeep turns on normal and I may use the signals a couple times but later down while driven I will get the message of light bulb out, for what I read this could be fix with a harness. American Adventure Lab has the High Line Bracket that its also a LED light and they also sell the harness, but they will see you the harness only if you buy their lights. Link below.

Looking good my friend!
surferrat777 thanks brother!
Glad I watched this. Makes me not want to do this mod. I just doesn’t look right at all without the Rubi bumpers and bigger tires
how about turn signal ? working ? i strongly suggest you to make a clip to show all feature
I did the Mopar OEM LED swap with the JScan app. MOPAR HEADLIGHTS AND DRLS ARE WORKING FINE NO ISSUES.
$19 for Vin Unlock thru Jscan
$24 Security Bypass Cable
$28 for specific OBD Wifi Reader
Z71___ awesome, im gonna look into that. Thank you man!
Copperhead_JL Youre welcome man!
I also have a 2018 JL Sport S, love the fenders with LED DRL lights, but my Jeep doesn’t have day light running lights, so would I only get the turn signal lights if switch to the rubicon fender??
As long you turn your headlights on the white LED drl will turnon too, but make sure to get a tazer to change the setting on the computer so it knows it is LED. If you dont change that on the computer you may or will get the message that says light out
@@copperhead_jl5321 Some kits come with resistors, which also do the trick.
Did your DRL’s continue working? I had to buy a flashcal to get them to work.
Tony Mendoza so they work when i have just turned the jeep on and after a while of driving ill get the message for turn signal out but the drl does work. But im going to do the adventure lab replacement at one point and they sell an harness incase you have this problem
So are the liners specific to the rubicon fenders? Can I reuse my sport liners with rubi fenders for all four?
VP NN thats a great question. My guess is that they may be slightly diferent since the rubicon is 2” higher. You can also separate them and cut to fit if you want. I was lucky i found the whole thing, but you can definitely take the inner fenders and get aftermarket one if needed
I would like the old ones please!!!
I also have wrangler jl unlimited sports and want to change fenders to body colour. Where can i get them?
param grewal i got mine used in the exact color i needed. Depending where you live, you may want to try like ebay, craigslist, or facebook market place. There is people that have rubicons and are putting aftermarket fenders and will be selling their stock fenders, that was my case. Also a jeep dealer can probably get you fenders but most likely will be expensive
I have the led package but my fenders were not so I got some but wanted to know if that makes a difference
Valdemar Quidera they will work but after a while you turn the jeep on you would probably get the warning light due to the jeep thinks you have a halogen bulb out because the leds use less power than halogen bulbs. But you can fix that at a dealer just dont care about it lol. Just to make sure and clarify, i only get the error message with the turn signal. The white led day time running light works no problem at all
I ordered my Rubicon fender flares complete kit for my 22 JL Sport in smooth so I can have painted to match. Unfortunately they are on back order from Mopar…..
Nice, hopefully you get them soon
I have a jk. What do you recommend for a fenders that won’t brake the bank.
Jason F most of the big brands are around the same price. But Motobilt has good products and prices are really good, go check them up
Looks Good, great COLOR with the color match fenders
Thank you Mark!
how did you put the clip/fastener underneath the fender? the one that has a little "clip" that pushes in the middle?
seems like it needs to be pushed from the back, i cannot figure out how to do it.
The white ones holding the actual fenders to the jeep?
Copperhead_JL sorry I’m talking about the rivets.
sneakrpick ohhh, i removed the fenders attached to the inner fenders. I will remove those once i do the highline delete where you separate the upper part from that lower part
Have an jeep wrangler jl 2020 in black, where can buy this fenders flare color matched
Oscr M search on craigslist or facebook market place for used fenders
Did you use your same fender liners from the sport fenders, or did you use rubicon fender liners?
Daniel Rodriguez so the guy i bought them from, had them all in one piece. So i remove my old ones also in one piece and replaced it with the rubicon ones as one piece.
Copperhead_JL did you use your sport fender lights harness and connect it to the rubicon fender lights? Or did the rubi fenders come with a different harness to connect the lights
Daniel Rodriguez yes, plug and play. Same harness for both. 👌🏼
Hi just asking sport fenders can paint? Am talking about ruber or plastic
Brady M if you take them to a body work/paint shop they probably can paint them
Did you have any issues with the wiring for the LED lights versus the halogens on the stock sport?
No its the same plug, but the computes does know the resistance its different and will tell you that the turn signal its out. I got a tazer mini to fix speedometor and other things, so i used that to change the light to led on the computer
@@copperhead_jl5321 Appreciate that. I ordered one this morning. Now I’ll just have to learn how to use it. LOL
@@Jakeman252 lol i gotta find a video every time on how to use it, i always forget
did the flares come with the liner? or could you use the old liner?
So i was lucky, they guy i bought them from had them still attached. So it was a simple swap, didnt have to be parting the old ones
Where did you find Color matched fenders, I'm wanting do same, Tia
Found them second hand on Facebook market place
Where did you go to find a color match Rubicon fenders?
Dana Dane i kept looking on my local Craigslist and on facebook marketplace, someone posted them on facebook market place. So just check locally with your jeep club, there always someone upgrading to after market ones and will sell the old ones
Where you bought then my is a rubicon 2011 how do I know it fits on it?
I bought them used on the Facebook marketplace, but this wont fit on a 2011. Check online for aftermarket fenders for a 2011 jeep wrangler for options
How much did these cost and where did you get them from?
Ed Fletcher i found them used on the Facebook market place and i paid $300
Hi, I am purchasing a set of rubicon fenders as well. May I know how much you paid for them?
Chris Qiang i found them for 300
Copperhead_JL that’s a steal! Does the led drl work as just plug in? Or you need to do some programmings
So the DRL do work no problem but the turn signals do work to when you turn on the jeep but after a while of driving and using them you will get a message letting you know they are out. So you can by a bypass like the one adventure lab makes of get a tuner like the tazer to change the options from halogen bulbs to LEDs and you will be good
Copperhead_JL sounds good, really appreciate it!
where did you find the color matched rubicon fender flares?
kevin krzemien facebook marketplace, i was looking almost everyday.
@@copperhead_jl5321 do you remember how much you paid for them?
kevin krzemien i got them for $300
@@copperhead_jl5321 I have a lead on some rubicon fenders but they don't come with the inner fender liner. do you know if the sport/sahara inner liner will work with the rubicon fender?
kevin krzemien i didnt check if you could use the sports inners on the rubicon ones. I bet you can but you may have the cut the inner fender where it only attaches to the inner wheel well, or find a way to locate the ribbets used on the original
Do you still have the sport fenders?
Not anymore
Nice!! Where did you find the color match rubicon fenders?
Kept looking on Facebook marketplace, one day they just appeared lol
@@copperhead_jl5321 Haha. Got it. Thanks bro!
@@copperhead_jl5321 I found some! Just don’t know if they’re too expensive. Do you mind me asking what you paid for the four fenders flares?
@@jasonhvelazquez1104 i got mine for a great deal $300 or $350 cant remember exact number, but still it was great deal!
@@copperhead_jl5321 Wow! That is a great deal. I’ll keep looking lol 😆 Thanks again hermano
Are the DRL just plug and play?
Alan Cardenas yes is the same plug, but you may or may not get a dash light for the turn signals. The DRLs work just fine
Copperhead_JL Awesome vídeo, will the American adventure lab harness fix the problem with the dash giving warnings about your turn signal??
Rey Diaz in theory yes, but they dont sell them if you dont buy also their high line lights. I just got used to it but someone recommended the Tazer, which i was going to get the trail dash but cant beat the price of the tazer.
Rey Diaz www.zautomotive.com/product/tazer-jl-mini/
from where u can buy this fenders
gursahib aulakh a dealership may order them for you, i recommend for you to search them used online(craigslist, facebook market place, local jeep clubs) that would be the best way to get them
You put the Rubicon panel gauge on Sport??
Gabriel Cruz no, just the Rubicon fenders
I see diferent cluster of Sport model, I think Rubicon cluster model.
Gabriel Cruz yes, i see what you mean now. They have the Wrangler Sport and also the Sport S and i think thats were the cluster changes and if that is not the case is probably due to the audio upgrade maybe 🤷🏽♂️ lol
Any wrangler from the Sport S up can have that cluster, it's an add on when you select he 7" uConnect option.
Fernando Magaña perfect, thank you.
