Teraflex Tie Rod and Quick Disconnects for Jeep Wrangler JL!!

Jeep JLs have a little play on their steering and swapping to this Tie Rod helped me solve some of that problem. After installing the Tie Rod I got my Aluminum Steering Box replaced with a cast Iron, and that combined with the Teraflex Tie Rod solved everything. Did you add any spacer or anything I have the four door JLu could I get by with 4.5lift and 37s stock rims you'd think
Yes with this wheels i added a 1.75” spacer. I like the wider stance.
Have you regeared since then what did you go with ?
@@mattbrewer8146 dont have it any more, but yes i regeared to 4.88 yukon gears
Looks good plan on going same with my JLU unlimited what about break lines need new longer ones or stock ,brackets ?
@@mattbrewer8146 nice with the stock wheels and running 37s i would run wheels spacers to avoid rubbing on the control arms. Brake lines are good actually

Cant remember exact width of wheels, but the tires are 12.5”

i watched to the very end and was hoping to see how it preformed in the rain and nothing. I can only assume Rain Gear hasn't decided to ship a folding pro-rod with these covers so the rain will role off like a tent. I can only imagine that water pools after a heavy rain and people have to be careful not to dump the water into the cabin when removing the top. Please make a follow up video after a heavy rain and report back. Other than that great video!
I would assume there would be some pooling, but I would think the straps would help with that. Just need to pull it tight.

Congrats man, and all i did after this install was to go to add an extension of the exhaust tip so it dumps the exhaust tip till around the bumper area

So i was lucky, they guy i bought them from had them still attached. So it was a simple swap, didnt have to be parting the old ones

I ordered my Rubicon fender flares complete kit for my 22 JL Sport in smooth so I can have painted to match. Unfortunately they are on back order from Mopar…..

Hi, I believe yours is a sport S. I'm wondering if you are still under stock gear ratio, and is that 3:45 as sport version? I have Willys sport, which is using 3:45 stock gear, 8 speed at. I want to have 37s on it. What do you think about that? Thanks, Bao
Yes mine is a Sport S, i am not using stock gear ratio anymore. It was 3:45 and now i have 4:88, you can run 37s on 3:45 but you will feel the difference and will be dropping gear a lot to go up hills or passing other vehicles. I am happy with the 4:88 i have now, since it just feels right 👌🏼

@@baoradeon878 yeah 3:45 and 35s should be more tolerable than with 37s. And so far i havent had any problems with my axles and 37s. But i have upgrades ball joints, adjustable control arms for a good alignment, trussed the front axles, heavy duty steering components, steering stabilizer, so with all of this things i feel it helps to have a good driving jeep and helps with the 37’s

Did you have any issues with the wiring for the LED lights versus the halogens on the stock sport?
No its the same plug, but the computes does know the resistance its different and will tell you that the turn signal its out. I got a tazer mini to fix speedometor and other things, so i used that to change the light to led on the computer

Yeah, its a great option is you want to feel free but dont have a soft top, at least you will be able to protect it while the jeep its naked

Any issues with your Jeep so far with 37’s? I’m really wanting a sport like yours on skinny 37’s but not an automatic, hoping to get a manual. Any issues with axles on 37’s?
No issues man, i did stock gears for a while….. it can be done but its annoying, so i re-geared to 4.88 yukon gears and did a front truss. No issues at all
